I have tried danzann 3 times now to properly review their products. I enjoy a matcha that is slightly sweet and creamy. I think the matcha here is a bit too strong for me but is still good. The gochujang cookie was more like a snickerdoodle with a drop of gochujang. Maybe if you've never had gochujang, you can tell that it's there, but I didn't taste it at all other than just seeing a slight red hue to the cookie. Danzzan is one of the newest cafes in the 626 and they are bringing that Korean-inspired flare! This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a gorgeous interior with about 5-6 tables for seating paired with brown and green color tones. For their menu, they have a unique selection of different matcha and coffee drinks along with some desserts. I opted to try the Little Forrest Latte which is a roasted matcha with a hazelnut cream and matcha jam. This drink was a gamechanger for me with the right amount of roast and creaminess! Overall, I am glad I got the chance to stop by and check this spot out. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Though it's pretty popular, so it's hard to get a seat during peak hours. And the big open spaces means fewer seats. I just tried Danzzan in Rowland Heights for the first time today and can't wait to go back already. The cafe has a great ambiance as expected with any Korean cafe. Expect lots of people. So good for socializing but not so great if you want to find a studying spot. The workers are fast and were super friendly to us. The Snowy Persimmons dessert was spot on--light and not too sweet. Perfect for anyone who likes it subtle. The combination of all the ingredients work so well together. Man, I wish there was a cafe closer to home that offer the same dessert! The Life is Matcha was also mazing. I asked for half sugar and thought that was perfect for me. The Black and White Cold Brew was decent but nothing to write home about. I've been seeing this on IG reels and wanted to try it! I ordered the matcha danzzan and the little forest cloud for my husband. The matcha danzzan had a strong matcha flavor and it was smooth. It was topped with their house cream, a honey drizzle and some sea salt. The little forest cloud was actually a hojicha topped with a house hazelnut chocolate cream. I got the Little Forest Latte (7/10) and it was a good balance of drink/cream. The hazelnut chocolate was definitely over powering, but I could taste a hint of the hojicha. Total was $8.10 with tip. Since it's their grand opening, I received a free gochujang sea salt caramel cookie (3/10) which they over-baked and it was hard to eat. It's definitely not supposed to look like that according to their other videos, but I feel like I would've enjoyed it a little more if it wasn't over-baked. lt is a little on the pricier side, but they do use a lot of high quality ingredients in their drinks. Saw this place gaining traction on Instagram so of course I had to stop by! Super cute coffee shop with a really cozy aesthetic interior. There's a good amount of seating (maybe seven?) and I saw a couple folks with their laptops open typing away. I hate that the menu is right by the register so we tried to make a decision as fast as we could once we got to the front since there was a line behind us. Friend and I settled on the Life is Matcha ($6.75), Matcha Danzzan ($6.75), chestnut tiramisu ($8), gochujang sea salt caramel cookie ($4.50). We were surprised our drinks were ready first! I'd say the drinks are on the smaller side which i didn't love for the price. But they were pretty good. The Matcha Danzzan has a light vanilla cream on top that made it so good when mixed with the matcha. The Life is Matcha just tastes like matcha LOL I do not get the double matcha hype but okay. The chestnut tiramisu was not great - super small for $8, it didn't even fill the container it came in LOL, and there was one small half chestnut on top, no chestnut or chestnut flavor in the cake. Not worth the $8 at all. The cookie was interesting, I liked it but found it to be oily and hard. I think they tried to warm it up so we can have the gooey marshmallow experience but it sat out for a bit before they called us to get it so unfortunately we got a cold crunchy cookie. It definitely deserves more hype, because I was pleasantly impressed. We're able to see how they weigh and prepare their matcha, and I can assure you they have their measurements perfectly aligned. We were craving some matcha around the area and saw this place recently opened and after looking at the menu, we decided to check it out. We went during the weekend and though it wasn't too much people ordering, there were a lot of people sitting there and hanging out. The cafe itself is pretty small and replaced Neighbor's (rip) so seating can be limited especially when there's people already occupying the seats. I do love how the decor is minimalistic, simple, and very aesthetically pleasing though! We ordered life is matcha latte, mango matcha latte, and the chestnut tiramisu. The life is matcha latte is so good and creamy! It's basically a double matcha with matcha cream foam and sea salt as the topping. The matcha was pretty strong which makes sense given it being double matcha. I also like how the drink was not too sweet which I prefer for my matcha. I could taste the sea salt in the drink when I didn't mix it but once mixed, it was lost within the drink so honestly the sea salt is more as an aesthetic for the drink than anything. The drink is pretty small in my opinion but I still really like the drink regardless and would get it again. The mango matcha latte was super yummy as well! I don't really see mango and matcha as combinations so you can say I was pleasantly surprised with this combo. I love how I could taste the mango but it didn't overpower the matcha. The only thing we were disappointed with was the chestnut tiramisu. We couldn't taste the chestnuts at all. It tasted like a regular tiramisu where you can get elsewhere and pay half the price. The only thing that tasted like chestnuts were the singular chestnut used as the topping on the tiramisu. Maybe chestnuts were incorporated with the tiramisu but the flavor was not there. There were also too much cream compared to the cake but luckily, it wasn't too sweet. It's not something I would get again and it's why I had to knock down a star. Maybe this lot is cursed cause the cafe has potential, but somewhat fell flat. Pros: - Nice service - Quality matcha - Cozy atmosphere with free WiFi. - simple menu. Cons: - Parking will be horrendous since the lot is parking for other stores and is tiny. - Dazzan matcha latte doesn't have honey inside, but comes with a honey stick which takes a long time for it to dissolve. I assume it to adjust the sweetness, but even then it will take some time. Also the wrapper was hard for me to take off, but that might be just user error. - The viral gochujang cookie was meh. Not spicy at all, but it was overall decent. Maybe they're still working out the kinks, but I do hope this place survives than most tea places that haunted that lot. read more

As a matcha cafe, I thought the matcha was mid. Maybe I should try their other offerings but the matcha is not whisked per order and are already in pre made bottles. Their cups are also not that big. They're pretty small and the matcha flavor isn't that strong. There's a better matcha place in yes plaza down the street in my opinion. The gochujang sea salt cookie with marshmallow actually impressed me more. I was a bit skeptical about it because I've never heard of a spicy cookie before but the flavors together were immaculate. The cookies are made fresh and fill the cafe with amazing smells. I was tempted to get more. One thing to note about the cookies for their grand opening is that they don't hand them to you with your drink. They brought them out in trays and didn't really check if you even bought a drink when you get one. It's like a free for all and everyone gathered around like vultures lol. My bf and I waited so long to get a cookie since they were out and because they're not handed out with ur drink, other people who went way after us got cookies first and we had to wait for the next batch again. That kinda put me off but it's a free cookie so I can't complain. The taste of it was worth it too. I got the snowy persimmon as well and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too sweet. My bf thought something was missing from it. I agree about that but not sure what it is. I think it's because most shaved ice fruits are sweeter but persimmons aren't that sweet. The additional topping added great texture to it though! I wonder if this is a seasonal product because persimmons will be out soon. They looked and sounded so good but when received they were cold and hard. Came around 7:30pm and the cookies were stale. However, if you mix the Strawberry Matcha Latte and the Mango Matcha it tastes pretty good. Clean place, but got pretty crowded at one point. The service and placement of the menu can be improved. I highly recommend it being placed elsewhere with possibly a QR code for those waiting. On just overall aesthetic and vibes this place probably gets full marks! The interior is cozy, drinks are very pretty, and is another trendy spot in Rowland Heights to hang out. Moderate amount of seating, more than most sit down cafes recently and a little more comfy I'd say. For the drink I ordered, the Matcha Danzzan - their Matcha Einspanner, I think the cream was a little bit of a miss for me. I appreciate that this is definitely a legit matcha place though, and it is apparent they use great quality tea. The honey and sea salt are a nice touch to the drink. The cream I thought was way too thick that didn't allow for any matcha to come through if you wanted both cream and matcha in a sip. I think it could benefit from maybe more vanilla syrup or whatever sweetener is used, because it ended up just creating a slightly oily layer of cream with not much sweetness that didn't allow me to enjoy the latte as much. There's not as much seating as before but it does look more "artistically" styled, maybe enough for 3/4 small to medium groups of people. There's also a bit of seating by the entrance. The Double Matcha was good (3.5/5), but a little milky and watered down really fast because they gave a lot of ice in a smaller cup. The Hojicha was better imo and richer in flavor (4/5). Life is matcha latte- good. Can't tell if I want to say it was amazing or not. A bit pricey for the amount of drink you get Gojuchang sea salt cookie- wow. This was SO good. The cookie was soft and the marshmallow was not too much. The only downside was also the price. A bit much so probably not something I would get often.
