I've only ordered this to go for pick up, so I'm not sure if you order in person, you serve yourself or not. I doubt there's that much of a wait when you're there just for the Chubby Tea, but the ambiance is lively since it's crazy cool on the inside. I guess if you do have to wait they have arcade game cabinets and seating inside. Drinks are standard, the milk teas and the fruit teas remind me of a lower to mid level franchise. Think maybe a slightly less artificial Quickly's and a better Ding Tea. I do like that the drinks come in an insulated bag like the higher end boba places do. I am a Chubby member and have generally been very satisfied with Chubby Group's customer service--until my experience today at Chubby Tea. When I attempted to redeem my monthly free tea, the staff member insisted it had already been redeemed. This didn't make sense, as I was not even in RH on the date shown, and my phone was never scanned. It appeared there may have been a system glitch, but instead of investigating or offering a solution, she was dismissive and rude. After going back and forth, I decided to leave rather than escalate the situation. It's just a free drink, so not a big deal--but the unprofessional attitude was disappointing. I'm sharing this feedback to bring it to management's attention. I hope staff can receive better training on customer service and handling system issues, especially with loyal members. read more

Stopped by for tea. We have the membership so came for the free signature milk tea. However be aware of their opening times. This location is inside a chubby cattle so during shift changes from lunch to dinner they may not have staff at the tea station. After a few mins wait we were able to get or drinks. Im sure this place excels at their bbq, but their dedicated boba tea place fell flat. Although their boba is cheaper than most places....The green milk tea and original milk tea lacked tea flavor. We were in the area and wanted to try a boba spot we haven't tried before. We stopped by on a weekend during lunch time, and parking was insane. We circled the entire outside lot and underground, but couldn't find a spot. I got dropped off in-front to run in really quick instead. Thankfully, the drinks were made quickly. I was a bit confused since we were just looking for a new boba spot to try before doing some errands and this place sounded super cute. Since it's inside chubby cattle, you get to see what the place offered, I saw the drink stations that were available for dine in guests. They also had arcade games near the entrance! I had to wait 45 min for drink! I ordered the oolong milk tea, ordered less sugar and light ice and was perfect sweetness for me. I ordered at the kiosk about 30 minutes after they opened. Then I was informed that the brown sugar boba wasn't ready, and it wouldn't be ready for 30 minutes. (Why don't they have a batch ready in the time for opening? Seems to be poor planning that the first hour they're open, the most common add-in is not available). Asked if I wanted a different drink add-in as a subsittute, which I didn't want. I asked if they would simply refund me for the boba, and they said they couldn't. They promised the boba would be ready in 30 min. I waited 30 minutes. It wound up being 45 minutes, and the boba was not "brown sugar" at all, but instead bland and tasteless. I was incredibly disappointed that I waited. Also, be aware that an automatic 18% tip is added to the order! You can remove it, but the total took me off guard until I realized it. It pains me to write this review, as my friends and I have previously enjoyed dining at the various Chubby Cattle locations. The four of us had a 12:30 PM lunch reservation on Memorial Day. When we were seated, our host warned us that the team was understaffed, but that did not really prepare us for how slow and unprepared the kitchen actually was. We sent in a large order right after we were seated, which included appetizers and meats. We then had a lull of about 20-30 minutes where we had already put in a second round, were still waiting for appetizers from our first round, and had no food from the kitchen to actively grill or eat. Our server, Brandon, tried his best to provide us with updates on our order and even extended our ordering window. The team also stopped restocking the self-serve items, like burgers and egg tarts, at 2:30 PM, when there were still parties being seated and 1.5 hours left of lunch service. This left us feeling frustrated, as we were told the egg tarts would be restocked soon; we waited an extra 20 minutes only to be told there would be no more for the rest of lunch service. Our server did his best and even applied the membership discount for our whole party. We still felt a bit cheated by our meal, and the manager, Chad, came over and tried to placate us with a voucher for a free A4 wagyu filet on our next visit, which felt like a throwaway item of no real worth to them. The whole interaction with him was frustrating and did not make us feel any better. I really hope the team here learns from this and is better staffed and prepared for the next holiday. read more

Drinks are less than the average cost of boba in all of SoCal at just 4$ plus tax. Very nice aesthetics for a boba shop. I got the matcha coconut drink and tried requesting no ice. However they said they cannot do no ice because it will be too strong. What if I liked it strong? I'd be happier if they trained their employees to say that it's their policy to say no ice rather than saying it would make it too strong or saying that would change the taste. It's like going to a restaurant and ordering medium rare for a steak but the waiter said no because that would change the taste and made you order medium instead. You get what I mean? However, upon tasting the drink, it was a unique experience since I have never mixed coconut juice and matcha before. I would probably come back solely due to the cheap price and aesthetics. I got the Lychee Rose green tea for $5. The fruity and floral flavors were well balanced and there was a solid tea flavor as well. Really can't complain with the price point! I feel catfished. While the branding is very elevated, and prices were unbelievable like $3 a drink, service was incredibly slow and chaotic, and the quality is like that of Lollicup/Quickly (no shade) just very generic. I will never crave this. It's located inside Chubby Cattle, so the air is incredibly meaty inside. There wasn't any AC on (at least in the drink area) so it was incredibly hot. The only source of cool air is from the freezer where they store all the frozen wagyu meats. My friend and I ordered a drink each and waited over 30 minutes. After my friend got her drink (which we suspect has been ready and sitting there for at least 15 min because the paper cup was kind of soggying up by the time she got it), the worker was confused where my drink was. Turns out they ran out of what I ordered, the Osmanthus Pear tea. I swapped it to a Lychee rose less sweet. It's not terrible but it's very generic and also did not taste less sweet. read more
