Ordered the mix n match, double Chicken Kabob skewers. Food took a few minutes, but it was well worth it as it was made fresh. Still hot by the time I got back to the hotel room with my togo order. Rice, mixed veggies, and chicken, were all cooked well. Couldn't be more pleased with this meal. Will def visit a Daphne's in my travels in the future. This place has some of the best falafels I've had yet! They're consistently crispy on the outside and have great flavor and are not overly salty (which is what I often run into when ordering falafels at Mediterranean restaurants). I always order either the hummus bowl or falafel pita. Their pita bread and hummus are really yummy too, and I'm always craving for more whenever I finish my food here. read more

Came in today with my wife. Went to use the restroom as she ordered at the front. Lifted the handle at the sink to wash my hands and the water came out instantly scalding hot. Hurt like hell. Went to the lady working at the front who eventually came over to check. She said she didn't feel it was that hot, and that she's used to such temperatures. Um, okay. Awesome work for validating the fact that I just brought a potential lawsuit to your establishment. She asked if I wanted to fill out an incident report. I said no, what I'd like is to talk to your manager and have you guys put a sign on the doors of the restrooms until you get the temperatures down on the hot water going into the bathrooms. She said she notified Judy Garcia, the manager, of the incident, but she said she couldn't come out because she was on lunch at the moment. At this point I'm in disbelief. I understand california state law and meal time requirements, but I also know as a manager, you act accordingly, and continue unfinished lunch time lost, when you deal with incidents which might interrupt your mealtimes. I'm at a loss for words. Imagine if this was my wife who had gotten burned or a small child with a parent who wanted to sue. Here I am just trying to warn daphne's, and they couldn't care less. In fact, the staff in the front cared more than the manager from what I could tell. At least the woman working in the front who wasn't very validating regarding the temperature concerns offered me some burn cream and a bandaid, not that it was exactly appropriate for what had happened. Main point, don't bring your business to a place that doesn't care about it's customers. Want your child to hurt themselves? Come on in and get burned. Some of the best Greek food you'll ever find in a casual, almost "fast food" kind of place ! Avgolemono Soup - Chicken & Rice soup with egg and lemon, is a favorite with its creamy, rich and tangy flavors. Pita Bread is available in both whole wheat and standard white varieties. Both are extremely fresh, fluffy and tasty. I think the whole wheat has the most flavor, but both go well with all of their dips, salads and sandwich wraps. Spanakopita - Spinach and Feta Cheese filling in a light and flakey phyllo pastry. This is as good as in far more expensive restaurants ! Sometimes it's a little oily, but you just don't get the light flakiness with much less oil or butter. It's worth the splurge ! Falafel - Garbanzo bean flour is well seasoned, shaped into mini-burger patties and fried just enough to be crisp on the outside and soft in the center. Hummus is nice and garlicky, yet smooth and mild. They put enough garlic to produce a great flavor without making it taste peppery. Tsatsiki - Cucumber and yogurt dip has a nice tang, and makes a good dip or dressing for salads and sandwich wraps. The Rustic Greek Flatbread ( Pizza ) is not to missed ! Fresh vegetables and green herbs bake together with feta cheese to make a beautiful looking and tasting pizza ( not the usual tomato based sauce though. ) I'd like to order this every time ! Gyro Salad Plate or California Salad with Gyro meat - both great choices. The gyro meat is sliced thin right off the vertical spit when it just begins to brown and crisp on the outside. The seasoned meat has great flavor and is perfectly tender. The Calif Salad has a generous portion of Avocado and a creamy dressing with a good tang. Tabouli Salad - cracked wheat and parsley combine with a lemon dressing to make a refreshing side dish. I like the ratio of wheat to parsley - some places make it with parsley very predominant. Come here quite often for lunch on my break. The Service --- The girls that work here aren't very friendly. Seems like they don't want to e there which makes sense I guess. They do, however, come around and take empty plates and ask if you need anything when they bring your food. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food to you. The line goes by quickly and you never have to wait long for your food (unless you order the salmon for some reason). The Food --- I really like the food and it's a good deal for the money, especially if you use the coupons you get from Pita Points!! I love the Greek Salad with Chicken. The low fat dressing tastes like normal dressing and the chicken has great flavor. The gyro wrap is good as well, although the sides are a little skimpy. The California Greek Salad is good as well. Haven't been disappointed with anything so far. The Prices --- Like I said above, if you sign up for Pita Points, you get coupons every week by email. It's usually a couple bucks off either a salad or a street pita or a combo meal. I've gotten one for a free side of soup and a few bucks off a family meal as well. Was my favorite Greek restaurant to go to locally, fresh food, inexpensive and a great menu. In the last few months things have really changed here (with the exception of the great staff). For starters, the menu has changed about 3 times in the last 5 months, you go in one day with an expectation and items have shifted around a bit or have been removed. The recipe has also changed on the gyro meat. The last three orders I have placed have been screwed up a little bit, but they have new kitchen staff so I can let it go. What did it for me this last time is that you go to a certain restaurant to get points (it's a nice customer perk and an incentive to keep coming back). On two occasions now, when I went to redeem my points the cashier told me I did not have them (twice I confirmed visits prior that my rewards were available and twice I was told their were....until I went to redeem). I usually opt for the crispy shrimp salad or the veggie burger with fire feta and double Greek salad for the side. The food is fresh, the service is good (everyone who works there is cheery and pleasant and they even remember what I usually order). The place is clean and there are some great options for those watching calories as well as those saving pennies. Great food & friendly service. I ordered my food to go but from what I could tell the restaurant looked clean and it has ample parking! My favorite is the fire feta and hummus! I've been coming here for years and love this particular location. It never seems busy and always has tables open with almost no lines. I ordered takeout last night for my husband and I and what a disappointment! My husband's plate, with two steak skewers (for which we paid extra) was almost inedible. The steak was not just tough, it was completely unchewable. The salad dressing had way too much vinegar and was extremely bitter - not up the usual standard. In any case here's the scoop. All the meats are tasty,you cant go wrong with any meat. But the savory steak kebobs are memorable and the chicken shawarma is beyond tender and delicious. You won't regret it ! If you love Soups ,Their lemon soup is a delight you will certainly return for. And if you're not big on soups , buy at least small one , because it makes a great thick sauce to pour over your dish or meat.
