I purchased my first Lexus from this location in 2010 and was not happy with the service or sales department after my purchase. I felt like I was completely told what I wanted to hear just to make a sale. I stopped going here for service after my experience and drove to Lexus of Alexandria for any maintenance. Fast forward to today (Dec 2021), my husband and I have been car shopping for several months trying to decide what's best for our growing family. We live 2.5 miles from Lexus of Silver Spring so decided to stop in and see how things went. My expectations were very VERY low. Well, we worked with Sam Kim (Sales) and Brenden McCarron (Finance) who have completely changed my view on this location and it's customer service! Both men were very thorough, patient, and friendly. And I'm pretty sure Brenden and my husband would get along very well outside of work (haha). They spent most of the time laughing and making jokes. They really gave you the luxury service you expect when walking into a luxury car dealership. They both ensured me that what I previously experienced was not how they do business and hate that I was not given the quality service they represent. After a second visit we left with our new car and the excitement that you should have when making such a large purchase. The salesperson was very friendly and engaging .We had negotiated a price $ 500 less than was listed for a used NX300 low mileage on the phone which was done because the dealership is over an hour drive from my house. Upon arrival I checked the car out, Test drove it and wanted to buy. As soon as a finance person came into the picture , the experience went bad. They wanted the $500 off negotiated for unexplained "taxes" . I firmly said what was agreed upon and if she would not accept the agreed upon price , I would walk away from a 35k transaction due to the fact I had a check from my credit union for what I asked for on the phone , all in taxes etc. ...out the door price. This Princess became downright huffy scrutinizing the check, staring at it like it would produce the $500 she felt so entitled to out of my pocket. Held me up for literally 40 minutes with this BS as I said call my credit union to verify instead of us sitting here in a smoke filled room as that was coming out of her ears metaphorically speaking . Finally, I was told they would apply for the tags, title , etc and drove the SUV home. After 3 months with no registration mailed as was promised , I had to drive back again to the Dealer for a new temp tag. Meanwhile my credit union had been patiently waiting for the title as the Lexus dealer was not cooperating. I called the DMV and told them of the transaction, and they said "We have spoken with the dealer and they know what we require to change title" yet had not produced it. This went on for 2 more months...call the dealer, call the bank , call the DMV. Finally my bank said due to the fact the dealer / I had not produced a title (Blaming this on me ) and that they were going to change the loan to a 8.99 % unsecured personal loan to cover the 35K and I had 2 weeks to get it done or that would take effect....I went ballistic on the dealer and the very last day of the two week deadline they FINALLY got the paperwork done and registered the vehicle which took 6 months to get done. I could not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Stay clear! read more

It was a totally different experience this time around thanks to Kieran (salesman) and Jaryd (asst general manager). They were both very easy to work with and there was no pressure at all. I called on June 3rd and made an appointment to have my car serviced. the lady took down all my information vin number etc and scheduled it for june 10th at 8 am. i told her I had a service contract and she said it would be no charge. I came on June 10th and she said there was no appointment in the system but she said someone would fix the car and to have a seat. 20 minutes later I went and asked her what was happening and she hadn't even asked someone to help me. I told her I had a service contract, and she said they would not honor that contract. At that point, I just left. It was a horrible dealership and horrible service. She had the information and did not make the appointment for june 10th. She should not be working at this establishment in any capacity. Incompetent. Will never be going back. also, 160 for an oil change and 180 for a tire rotation is just robbery. Avoid this dealership at all costs. any other dealership would be better than this one. also, there was no food, drinks etc in the waiting area . I expected more from a luxury car dealership. Very disappointed. Save yourself the time and trouble and go somewhere else. read more

Gordan really took his time to explain everything to us. He was not pushy at all and really went out of his way to make our experience good and answered all our questions. I prefer to interact with sales representatives instead of anyone in maintenance/parts. The sales reps are much friendlier, especially Greg. As an example, although he works in sales, he always makes sure I am taken care of when I bring my car in for car washes or minor maintenance (e.g. wheel rash). We had to get the RX towed back to the dealership a few days later. They can't even wash vehicles properly. This place will lie and cut corners. I went to this Lexus service department for my first time since recently moving to Md. The customer service was poor! The service rep recommended I get more work done on my car than needed. When I finally picked up my car the maintenance & warning lights were on and my gas door was broken. Also, it was dirty with debris from the trees all over it. I was told by one of their technicians that my car was parked under a tree. I will never bring my Lexus here again! I have never experienced this horrible service at any other Lexus dealership. In fact, I lived in Japan for 3 years where excellent customer service was always given. Beware of service at this location! I'm going to start off by saying I, like many of you, do not trust dealerships; I hate taking my vehicle in to any dealership because: (a) I don't know if my vehicle actually got repaired or looked at (thoroughly) like they say in the paperwork, and (b) I always feel like I got robbed when I leave. That was always me until I came here. I scheduled to drop my car off here on a weekday mid-day. Someone came out to greet me and I was seen by a rep pretty quickly... in and out I say (I had to drop my car off because it was one of those big milestone ones). Nguyen and Jason helped me this time and they were beyond amazing: courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. They did a thorough check on my vehicle (I didn't tell them there were some minor technical glitches/issues with my vehicle, but they called me back and said they found those issues and asked if I wanted them taken care of). I also loved that they let me know there were some upcoming mechanical repairs I would need to get done, but not necessary for the immediate moment, if I chose not to do it now. Best of all, I didn't feel like they were trying to "up-sell" me on unnecessary/costly repairs or services. My car feels all new again. This isn't my first time here and it won't be my last time. Sales: I returned my 2016 IS for a new one here for a 2019. The sales rep who I corresponded with was Alexander. He was amazing. It was a lengthy process because they were backed up, so he went out and bought my wife, my son, and myself some Chick-Fil-A and we had dinner at his desk. He worked and presented his manager with whatever we threw out and got a great deal. Highly recommend Alexander. Service: This is why I give this place a single star. My license plate had came in, so around 7PM, I came in with my wife and child for what I thought was an extremely easy task for the service department to handle. What literally should of been a 5 min. maximum task turned into close to 40 minutes. Keein, was my service rep. Here's a timeline of what happened: 1) Keein takes the license plate from me and starts heading towards the front of my car without a mounting bracket. I tell him I have one and he says, "Oh yea." *Raised my eyebrow - First red flag* 2) Asks me if I really want the plate in the front, continues to tell me his dad has a Lexus RC and doesn't have a front plate on his car. I tell him, "Uhh, it's Maryland law... you MUST have one if the car is registered in MD." *Second red flag* 3) Spends a minute or 2 trying to see how the bracket mounts onto the grille. I told him that there are 2 divots in the grille already as indicators of where to drill. He confirms me with a, "Yeah". 4) Mounts the bracket upside down and over-torques the left screw and breaks the bracket. Tries several times to force the screw in even though there is nothing to grab onto because the bracket is broken. Leaves and gets another electric drill. 5) Comes back and tries multiple times to install the bracket upside down making several of his own holes, even though he acknowledged he saw the 2 divots for installation. Finally gets the bracket on upside down and attaches the plate using the plate's bottom screws holes rather than the plate's top holes. 6) I tell him, "Uhhhh, that doesn't look right. I've never seen a front plate installed using the bottom holes." He argues with me. He says because of my grill "gaps" that it has to be installed this way or the plate will be too low (because he installed the bracket upside down). I tell him that no other car has it installed like this and he takes me to an RX and says the gaps are different to prove his point. 7) He tells me to look at the front while he does the rear plate. I look at it and I can spin the entire bracket 360-degrees like a clock because it's only attached by the right screw. I call him back and he says, "Oh my bad." I'm pissed at this point. 25 minutes have passed now. He asks me if I want to see the bracket off so I can look at the mounting holes because he's having trouble. I say, "YES!" 8) He takes off the right screw to dismount the bracket and plate and I see he made 3 extra holes for total of 5 in addition to BREAKING A PIECE OF THE GRILLE OFF. If this was not a lease, I would of went off to no end. I ask him to explain to me why he hell did he do all this? I immediately go searching for a manager and Keein takes off and I don't see him again after this point. 8) Two other service reps comes and assist me. They witnessed the damage and agree with me that it should of never came to this. They go around searching for another bracket for my IS since Keein broke the original (which I forgot Keein told ME to get another one from parts even though HE broke it). 9) They found a bracket and had it installed in 1 minute. Keein pissed me off to no end. On top of that, he knew he messed up because he never came back to apologize. He tried so hard to use brute force to install the plate that he left scrape marks on my plate all because he refused to admit he broke the bracket so it was just spinning. He didn't know what he was doing and should be near ANY CAR NEEDING ANY KIND OF SERVICE. I will be posting photos of the damage Keein made. read more

We came here looking for a specific car that we found online... a preowned Infiniti QX40 and had an awesome experience. We were actually looking to buy the same car at an actual Infiniti dealer and were ready to pay a couple thousand more, but their sales team was absolutely terrible. Completely unhelpful, slow and it was a big turnoff as we wanted a certain color car that they had on their lot. We found the some model here in a different color online and decided to come check it out and met Ulrick. Here, they aren't even an Infiniti dealership but they went above and beyond. They found the answers to all our questions that the actual Infiniti salesperson couldnt even answer. The best part were the people were worked with; our salesman Ulrick and the friendly and non-pushy gentleman in the office helping us with our paperwork/financing (Asian-descent guy who had kids... I am a terrible person for forgetting his name but this review is months past due) were absolutely incredible and easy to get along with. I am grateful to this dealership for helping us buy our first SUV for a great deal and hbing great customer service - helpful and friendly, as well as being informative and realistic throughout the process. Working with Ulrick was more like talking to a friend not a car salesman. The only negative feedback I have was afterwards, when we needed to get our plates, the communication was not clear between employees. They seemed to not know what was going on, and our temp tags expired a few days since plates were delayed for some reason. Ulrick wasn't there when my husband came to get them and the people who were theere could have been more helpful in helping to get them on. Overall though, a great experience plus they have good snacks and drinks so you dont starve to death during what can sometimes be a long process. I spoke to a sales person over a couple of days reference a specific vehicle and was coming to look at the vehicle on a specific date. The weather was initial poor so it was slightly delayed. I spoke to the manager to discuss pricing. I agreed on the price. I was advised the vehicle could not leave the lot yet because it had not gone through the entire certification process. I was told I could still look at it and do a test drive. He was going to check on something to see about expediting the process and call me back. I decided to come and take a look at it anyway. 3 hours later i get here and they tell me it has been sold!!??? They offered to sell me an older car with more miles and a higher sticker price! Shell Lewis is my salesman and primary point of contact since September 2018. He walked me through every step of the process in purchasing my 2016 preowned black Scion IA.
