Pretzel with cheese (didn't taste like beer cheese)
    Courtney E.

Visited with a group after work during the week. It wasn't super busy, with some people at the bar and only one other table. We ordered "happy hour pizzas" which was a small personal cheese pizza, add a topping for $2. The pizza was good and the ground pepperoni was a nice change. I asked about drink specials which the menu listed, and our server wasn't sure what I meant and had to look at the menu herself. Finally I settled on a mule, which ended up just being ok. The rest of table ordered a mix of beers and cocktails, everyone reported them to be "just ok". For the bill... I ordered a $6 drink special $17 app $7 pizza The waitress didn't show me my tab, but rather just turned a screen around for my card $33 charge and an included 20% tip. Ehhh this process makes me uncomfortable. I'd like to see my bill and get to choose my tip without the waitress holding it in front of her.

We love stopping in here after walking on the B&O trail. I like that they have beer AND cocktails. And the pizzas are awesome :) we always have good conversation with the bartenders as well.

What an excellent pizza, the Our Father's was delicious. Chill environment, great service, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. Looking forward to coming back.

    Beer is almost 1/3 foam.

Food is limited to pizza (tavern style and very good), hot dogs, breadsticks. Atmosphere is casual. You get 1 1/2 inches of foam with each beer.

This brewery is right next to the IndyCar manufacturing plant and just a short walk from the race track. The atmosphere has a fun race and daredevil theme. They serve a great selection of pizzas and bar food, I tried the Three-Way Pepperoni on thin crust, and it was excellent. There's plenty of parking and seating both indoors and outdoors, plus outdoor games like cornhole to enjoy.

Beer was great. Tried the daredevil brew and vacation which are both lighter beers and got thin crust pizza and breadsticks for dinner. Pizza was very good if you like thin crust ! Crispy and loaded with toppings.

Stopped in for a beer and a pizza to go. Out of red sauce. Just not my day. Got the beer and a pizza with no sauce. We will see.

Great location, delicious pizza, and really good beer! What else is there? Limited menu, but perfect for a brew pub especially when it's well made and delivered piping hot. I would definitely make this a stop!

Mama Mia, who would think the pizza here would be the most memorable thing. The beer was good too, but that pizza is amaze-balls. I would go back for that alone. They said they learned from another pizza maker and I'll say they probably snatched that pebble away from the previous master. They didn't have any wheats on my visit, but the German Kolsch style and their stout was delicious. I think I ended up with a 2nd Stout because I liked it so much. I don't remember if I had 2 or if I was seeing double. I can't tell you where it is, not because it's a secret, but because I didn't drive and I'm glad for that. I think it's near the speedway as there were lots of Indy driver names on buildings. That's what maps are for though. Find it and and make sure you get beer and pizza. I think that combination is going to catch on.

Once again Daredevil delivers an A+ experience! Introduced my dad to the pizza today for his 76th Birthday. He absolutely loved it and can't wait for warm ups later. In addition to the awesome pizza, the staff is so very cool. I love asking questions about the pizza and they love answering. Owner should be proud because the ladies are very passionate and believe in the product being offered. Now as I learned today, I need to go visit daredevil hall in the ironworks hotel at keystone at the crossing location. Thanks for another awesome lunch and making my dads day extra special with that sausage mushroom pizza!

This is a solid microbrewery nestled into the Speedway restaurant district. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Inside is a humungous room with 30ft ceilings. They have quite a few beers on tap ranging from light to dark....many European inspired variaties. I went with something called "Muse" which was a lighter Belgian type of ale. It was lovely. Food menu is very limited: pizza, sausages, apps. The main draw is the beer and neighborhood. Nice people and good service. Give it a try !

Finally made it in to Daredevil to actually sit down and relax. Every time we have been here, it's a day of a Racemaker Production 5k, so it's a little chaotic (but still fun AND their patio is amazing!!) The atmosphere on the inside was nice and chill. I ordered the only stout that they had, the JWP, since I figured it was the perfect beer to go along with the 20 degree weather outside. Let me tell you, it was. It was one of the best stouts I have ever had! It was super creamy, bold, and had a nice coffee flavor. My fiance got the vacation and he really enjoyed it as well. The bartender was super nice and friendly too! Would love to come back here and actually try the pizza!! Definitely recommend stopping by!!

We got there early and were able to have some drinks and food, including the nachos. Man, I was not expecting BBQ sauce and like a mustardy sauce and cheese and it was flavor exploding, loved it. With the event we had catered pork/chicken as well as sides. Everything was great, the peppercorn dressing for the salad was so amazing, I would definitely think of a salad here in the future. The venue inside the space, with the car, is quaint with seating and you get to see everything happening outside the space as well. This last time, we were in the original Guggman Haus brewing building that houses the coffee. This is adorable! We had service the entire time, including a bartender and the beer. They made everything super easy and I would consider this space for a baby shower, bridal shower, etc. We had 25 people and it fit wonderfully. There is also outside space for overflow, so it makes it very reasonable. Now onto the beer! I had the IPA Riverside, very hazy with a great flavor. Then I went off the rocker and ordered some prickly pear drink, I was not expecting how good that was! Refreshing and light, easy to drink (probably too easy) and the flavor was perfect! Try it if you are there, it is a newer option. PROS: Parking easy, street and lot Many open spaces and areas to rent Games are included, so eat, drink and enjoy company They have trivia nights, woohoo CONS: Sometimes the food is not always a hit, nothing to state specifically today, but I recall in the past saying to myself, don't order that again. So, try everything and find what you like. The place is great and the beer/food options are good, so you will find something you like.

The brewery is housed inside a beautifully restored church, and walking in for the first time is worth the visit alone. The soaring ceilings, stained glass, and original architecture make for one of the coolest brewery spaces I've been to around Indianapolis. We stopped in during the early afternoon, so it was nice and quiet. We were greeted right away, and our server was incredibly friendly. She walked us through the beer flights, made some great recommendations, and never made us feel rushed. The flights were also surprisingly affordable, which made trying a few different brews an easy decision. For lunch, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, while my friend went with the Italian sandwich. Both plates were generously portioned, and neither of us left hungry. The pulled pork was tender, flavorful, and piled high on the sandwich, while the fries were perfectly crispy alongside it. Between the quality of the food and the reasonable prices, it felt like an excellent value. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between historic and casual. TVs are scattered throughout if you're catching a game, music plays in the background, and despite the grand setting, it still feels comfortable enough to settle in for a while. Whether you're stopping by for a beer flight, lunch, or just to admire the incredible building, St. Joseph Brewery is well worth adding to your Indianapolis list. I'll definitely be back.

They were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Both visits I ordered the spicy garlic cauliflower, and it was outstanding. The homemade blue cheese dressing took it to another level. If you're on the fence about ordering it, don't be--it was one of my favorite things on the menu. We sat right in the middle of the main thoroughfare and were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes before we finally flagged someone down. The guy, "H," apologized and said, "Oh, my bad--it's all good." We figured, no big deal, let's move on. We ordered pretty simple food, apps and were then going to put in some entrees once apps arrived. We asked for waters and a water bowl for our pups. He brought two waters--with no straws--and no dog bowl. We assumed he was going to grab the bowl, so we waited... and waited. Then I noticed him at the end of the bar leaning against some boxes, texting. So I finally got up, interrupted him and asked for the dog bowl. His response, "oh my bad." Our appetizers came out, and naturally, we asked for silverware. A few minutes later, I spotted "H" in the corner on his phone again. At that point I was thinking, seriously?! So I got up again, interrupted "H's" text convo and asked for silverware. His response again was, "Oh, my bad." I didn't respond to him I just turned around and went back to my seat. Honestly, the whole experience started feeling more like a self-serve restaurant than table service. It's a chill spot and we weren't being needy whatsoever. We never asked for any refills- we were merely asking for the basics. We wanted to order more food, but by that point we were pretty turned off and decided to just get the check. Then came the final straw: my guy had his license and credit card sitting on the table because he hadn't brought his wallet out for our monon trek. When "H" came back with the checkout thing, without question or hesitation - he grabbed the card and swiped it. We didn't even realize what happened until afterward. Maybe that's standard there, but I've never had a server just take my card without asking. Usually you get a "hey do we want to use this card? Or something to confirm. And of course the tip structure is skewed so the min is 20% unless you want to try to figure out to manually enter in 15% (which most ppl don't -incl my guy), so we left 20% and left irritated and still hungry. "H" didn't seem hungover or anything--he just genuinely seemed like he did not not give a shiiiit. We had to get up three separate times to get things we had already requested: the dog bowl, a couple straws, and silverware. (Basics) And a quick note on the 7-Layer Hoss Dip: don't expect seven layers. It comes in a small thick ceramic bowl and was basically beans, guacamole, a tiny bit of corn and some hard cheese on top. Definitely would not recommend it. Way too "beany" and not worth $16 at all. The southwest rolls were decent- very fried tho. Cheesecake Factory's are better ;) The location and dog-friendly atmosphere are great, with the exception of the homeless camp right at their patio entrance, but unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Hopefully this was just an off night, because Big Lug has a lot going for it.

The Sumerian culture valued beer and brewing. So much so there was even a Goddess of Brewing-…read moreNinkasi. The appreciation was lost upon the Romans, and eventually the Romans would be besieged by Vandals, internal disarray, and be the subject of modern day bro-influenced discussion. It is felt that the American independent/microbrewery beer experience birthed in the 1970's with companies like Boston Beer Co (Sam Adams). Companies that eventually no longer were microbreweries, adjusting their profile to fit the palate of the masses. How about we deviate from that approach? Be local, serve local. Taste profiles that don't exist solely in the figment of our imagination. I found a place like that today, not far from home. Settled in a shopping plaza next to a paint store, Deviate offers twelve brews on tap and can pour others. This is not a place to have a Galentine's Day dinner. This is a place to drink beer and let the conversation flow by itself. A place where board games and popcorn are complementary. BYO (PF). Bring your own pets and food- we brought our dog, and he was well welcomed. Finally a brewery here that allows dogs. I had the Twinning lager, and it was quite nice. 5.1 oz. Also $5 for a 16 oz. I'm big into craft beer and regularly partake in a robust craft beer community where I live. And I have to say, this brewery is the type of brewery that I love. It seems like they do more of the stouts (pastry and barrel aged, etc.) which is right up my alley. They have a good variety of other styles here as well. Since I was driving, I was only able to get a few small pours, but if I had more time and/or lived in the area, this is probably a brewery that I would frequent. The place itself is pretty large and has fun decor. There's games you can play including pinball machines and you can probably bring in your own board games here. There's also a popcorn machine, which is always a plus in my book. The place is very dog friendly and the folks here seem very friendly and helpful.
