This place advertises as dog and children friendly, but they kicked us out on Memorial Day weekend just after we bought a pitcher of beer and food since we had a dog. Someone was coming around and kicking all the dogs out. Definitely not dog friendly. Very disappointed and the level of service and unwelcoming attitude of the employees. Won't return. read more

Food truck battle was a success. I enjoyed myself. Two brews and out of the Slipstream pale ale and Vacation Kolsch Style Ale, the vacation was my favorite! The vacation was very crisp and refreshing! The slipstream had more of an IPA flavor to it, so I wasn't too taken back by the flavor. Just like the stars say, yay! I'm a fan! I was in Speedway last weekend and thought what better way to end my time visiting the area than with a local craft beer. I opted for the Whimsy - summer saison. It was crisp and refreshing! Just what I needed on a hot summer's day. I loved the out door space. My drink partner and I played a game of cornhole on a pair of the boards they had outside. They had plenty of outdoor seating, which is great for warm days in Indy. Great food and beer are available at this brewpub. I stopped in on Friday around noon and took a seat at the bar. The bartender was putting up the latest menu detail on the blackboard behind the bar. A warm greeting and an introduction to the taplist and menu became his priority. After a few minutes review of the options, I went with a flight of four brews. My choices were: the Whimsy (Summer Saison); Maibock; Dunkel (Brown Lager); and Muse (Strong Golden Ale with a 9% ABV). Based upon our discussion, he threw in a sample of another beer that he thought I might enjoy (The Vacation Kolsch). Overall, the flavors were unique and very tasty. Because I am new to craft beer, the Whimsy, Maibock, and Vacation were beers I would order again. The other two, although tasty, were something that might appeal to those with more experience. The taproom welcomes food deliveries from nearby restaurants to be consumed in the taproom and on the spacious patio, however, they have some very delicious sounding items made in house as well. For lunch, I went with the House Sandwich "Volume 5" with chips. This isn't your stereotypical "bar food"....this sandwich was fantastic! First they start with Semolina bread from Amelia's Bakery in Fountain Square. They also add 6.5 ounces of Cotto, Saucisson Rouge, & Lomo Ham from Smoking Goose Meats. They add farmstyle cheese (Haymaid's) and Sun Dried Tomato puree and sour cream. All these items are stacked on the grill and pressed so that the bread gets toasted and crunchy. On the side, they provide arugula and pickled red onions, which my bartender recommended putting on the sandwich as well. My only complaint is that this sandwich will only have a limited run of availability before a "Volume 6" replaces it. (They have salads and tasting plates as well.) Great patio space for enjoying a pint of Lift Off al fresco! Very clean and functional design. I love that you can smell the hops in the air! Three brews on tap atm. No food or snacks bc it's mostly a brewery/taproom but they have a delivery partnership with nearby Speedway restaurants like Barbecue and Bourbon. Arrangements like that make me happy because it shows the cooperative spirit of a neighborhood, and this one is growing! Great outdoor seating and beer selection. The outdoor section has a band stage, so I will be going there this Summer for some shows. We had the beer flights that came in the cutest set up. My favorite beer was "Race Day" which wasn't on the menu but the server suggested it as a lite beer. I had the pretzels which were good but I will definitely try something different next time. When you start a 5* review with Brussel Sprouts, you found a winner! First time at the brew pub in Ironworks, went through the IPA list and had the brussel sprouts and wings and was impressed. Looking forward to checking out the rest of the menu. Great setup as well, was a colder rainy day when there but can't wait to check out the bar with the garage doors open. Basically my favorite brewery of all time. Lift off is my go to beer. The pizza is delicious and their outdoor seating is wonderful.

Really loved this place. Has an industrial feel with outdoor seating and can even bring your dog. I guess that don't serve food but have a delivery service if your hungry. They offer beer tastings 4x4 oz for $8, offer growlers too. I was wrong they do offer food, sandwiches, salads and soups. We didn't get to try the food maybe next time. ( I thought you could bring your dog from another review I saw but you cannot, good to know) planning on trying a tasting next time. read more

Man, their pizzas so good especially after a couple hop pilots. I would totally get five stars if the pizzas weren't as pricey but that's not gonna stop me from coming back. This is the tastiest place in Speedway, beer included. read more

I've had Daredevil beer outside of the brewery and have been dying to come, but always forgot about it, since it isn't in my normal downtown stomping area. So glad I came! I had their Spark Plug (kolsch blended with blood orange juice) and it was the perfect summer refresher. We also did a flight tasting of the Muse, Pils, Rauchbier and Märzen. They did not disappoint. We stopped by here since we were in Speedway, and they have a nice outdoor area. I like their Liftoff but decided to try the Rip Cord Radler. It was a nice refreshing shandy. My husband's Hop Pilot was equally good, and we were able to purchase a small bag of Just Pop In popcorn to go with it. They have a great selection of house beers, a number of guest taps, and a small selection of food. You are allowed to bring in outside food too. I hope they get some outdoor heaters for those cooler nights. read more

I'm not in speedway too often so I definitely took the opportunity to stop in after a work event at Big Woods. There was plenty of seating and I loved the big open space and industrial feel. Bartender was fast and friendly. He always offered a smile and checked with us periodically. I really appreciate that. I had the Vacation Kloche. I had tried it before at a restaurant and there is something extra exciting to get to try it at the source. I have never enjoyed a beer more than I do this one. I got my friends to try it as well and they loved it. We were there a little after closing and the bartender was still cool. We didn't stay long though just because that's not cool. Great place, worth checking out even if it's a bit of a drive. read more

This is one of my favorite breweries in Indy. Was recently there for the fan appreciation day which they offered $1 beers! Can it get any better than that ? Daredevil Brewing got my attention with their IPA, Liftoff. Was probably a favorite until they opened in Speedway and tried their Ripcord (dbl IPA) which is spectacular and worth the drive! Now that it's cooled off, try their JWP American Stout, equally good. Growlers rotate routinely thru the "dedicated" beer fridge at home. Go Colts! And bring some Daredevil! read more

The Liftoff IPA is one of my favorite IPAs I have ever had in the world. It's a crisp, hoppy, refreshing, west coast style IPA. It's simple, complex, and amazing. I don't normally spent time in Speedway but I was over that way and decided to stop in for a beer. I mostly like wheats and fruity beers so I tried the spark plug which is a klosh mixed with orange soda. It was sweet and refreshing. I liked it but next time I would get the Shark Plug which is IPA mixed with orange soda. I feel like this would be a little less sweet and you would taste the beer more. We sat outside since the weather was nice and had the patio to ourselves. Great spot to have a beer with your dog on nice days. (No dogs inside) read more

I got hooked on Daredevil's Muse Belgian beer and came back at the end of 3 of the 4 days I was in Speedway. My hubby loved the Slipstream IPA. We had the Tamales on Thursday, and Grilled Cheese and Hot Dog with Chili on Saturday and both were great with the beer. Counter service was pretty good most of the times we were there. Atmosphere is relaxed and brewery/pub-like. They are family friendly, hosting a family evening on their very nice patio on Thursdays. There were several corn Hole games stacked in the back. I'm excited to see Daredevil locate in Speedway, where there's been a dearth of activity that wasn't oriented around the race in the past. This is high-quality beer in an expansive space, and it's an exciting hub that is creative, daring, and growing its offerings fast. While it's not my favorite beer or brewery space in Indy, it still stands out, and I have confidence that Daredevil will continue to build itself into a local powerhouse. I've always liked their beer, so my first visit to Daredevil's space certainly didn't disappoint. There's always a wide and varied enough selection, from solid standards to uncommon creative choice brews. There's more food options all the time to complement the beer, and while the space and the fare are all pretty sports bar-y, I'm not mad about it. read more

I am recently discovering Speedway outside of the one day in May that everyone else does. The reason I decided to check it out was due to Daredevil's opening. Daredevil has a great location and venue. The patio is great with live music and space to talk and play cornhole. There is plenty of parking! The beer is good, but I wouldn't say it was great. I look forward to more beers that they put on tap. So far I have stuck with Lift Off each time I've been. My husband and I will continue to go here due to the close proximity from home and the venue but I would love to see more adventurous beers. read more

Spacious and open layout, nice facilities, and good beer. This is the only brewery in Speedway I am aware of right now and I'm sure coming this Race month will start getting quite a bit of business. It was clean and the service was efficient. I didn't really speak with anyone, so my experience felt pretty generic. I would like to go again to get s better feel for the place. read more

I've had Daredevil Beer many times but I've not been to the Taproom until today. I came for. Girl Pint Out Event but cake early to check it out. It is a repeat visit location for sure. The atmosphere is great, you are actually just a few blocks from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the heart of Main Street, Speedway. My friends and I had a great time at Daredevil Brewing! The staff was funny and made our night so pleasant. I tried the Festbier (since it is October) and it was great, and of course got the Lift Off IPA that they are known for. The shareable pretzels were very tasty and the beer cheese was so so good. We played cornhole (or bean bags if you're apparently not from Indiana) out in the grass near the outdoor tables and it was a perfect night for it. Main Street in Downtown Speedway was so calm and I had no idea that this was just right near downtown. Would definitely go back again, especially since they sell packs of beer to take home. read more

This is the third or fourth year we've visited Daredevil on Good Friday and it does not disappoint. While I enjoy quite a few different libations from Daredevil this time around we tried the Marzen lager which debuted today! it's a great libation and we sat and enjoyed for several hours. We tried the pretzel board which included several mustards and a beer cheese dip...awesome! One of my favorite breweries in the Indianapolis area. Quality of beer is consistently great. Daredevil is always doing special brewery-only releases that keep their loyal customers coming back to try new beer. The food is really good too. Plenty of seating inside and on the patio. Shouldn't they be the last bastion of serenity for the willfully childless? This space is fantastic, with a big garage door letting in a stunningly gorgeous spring day.
