This is a great Arabic restaurant. The staff was friendly and definitely gave the restaurant a "hole-in-the-wall" or "family owned" restaurant feeling. The food was great, the lamb was tender and very well rendered. The gamey taste or the lamb paired really well with the rice and was a great portion for the price. My only con is that the restaurant is not the most pristine. It feels very minimal for the dining experience which for me means I probably wouldn't bring people there for anything other than to itch an Arabic food craving.

My first time here trying their food. By far this is the best lamb to have in Texas. Food was on point fresh. Service was good and welcoming. I dont care about the ambiance if the food is good . Go eat some quality food.

When we first walked into Hadramout Restaurant, the place was filled with smoke from the grill, which was overwhelming. We also noticed a lot of flies around, which was concerning. The waiter, however, was friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us, recommending a few dishes. We decided to try the Mandi lamb, Kabsa lamb, and Hanith lamb. When the food arrived, we were impressed with both the taste and the portion sizes--everything was delicious, but the portions were so large that none of us could finish our meals. However, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. For a party of six, they automatically added an 18% service charge, which is fair, but I hope they use that to improve the overall hygiene of the place. The cleanliness definitely needs more attention. If I crave this type of food again, I'll probably order it to-go instead of dining in.

Attentive and quick service for a busy restaurant! We came in on a Friday night and while it was packed, we were able to get seated right away. Our food was also out within 5-10 minutes of ordering. This restaurant is very affordable for the amount of food they give. Even as 3 hungry girls, we could've ordered 1 appetizer and 1 entree and been fine. We got the Mediterranean Plate to start, which was average. The only part I felt was skimpy was the accompanying bread--the 3 half pieces were not nearly enough for all the hummus and baba ghanoush. However, the extra spreads did make good pairings for the rice in the Kabasa Chicken and Mandi Chicken. I wish they came with yogurt sauce, but instead I used the hummus and salsa-type sauce they gave us at the beginning. The chicken was fall off the bone, but the breast meat was very dry despite the tenderness. Hadramout is a good beginner's dive into Yemeni and hits the spot for a craving, but definitely not the best you could try.

We've been coming here at least once or twice a month for the past two years. But today, we had a very bad experience -- the chicken was not cooked properly at all. This is not the quality we usually get with the Hanith chicken and Kabsa rice. We informed the server, but he said he couldn't do anything about it. Not recommended anymore

The Mandi at Hadramout is probably one of the best you'll find in DFW. I love how tender the chicken is, it's definitely a comfort food for me.

This is by far the best restaurant in DFW. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The mandi chicken will fall off the bone even if you just wiggle the plate. The fish is amazingly flavored and also is easy to remove from the bone. The dessert isn't too sweet but is by far some of the best dessert I've ever had. The service has always been amazing and the staff has always been so kind and friendly. I have been here about a handful of times and the restaurant continues to blow my mind and remain consistently amazing. I literally dream about this restaurant. There is not a better restaurant in DFW, and it is one of the only Yemeni restaurants around. I had never had Yemeni food prior to trying this restaurant, and what a great representation of it, it is. I recommend that EVERYONE tries this restaurant.

Great food, large portions, reasonable price. One meal and appetizer is enough for two. We shall be back soon. Grilled fish is a must try

This was my first time trying Yemeni food and it was delicious. The food had lots of flavor and chicken was very tender. The chicken literally fell off the bones. Each entree comes with a lot of rice, so the rice to chicken proportion is a bit off in my opinion. We also ordered the Mediterranean plate appetizer, which was also good, but it only came with 3 pieces of bread. We ended up having to pay for extra bread. They also charge you for water which I wasn't expecting. Overall, very nice to have something new in Plano.

The sandwiches (Bandari sausage and Little Persia special) were on the menu, but it was discontinued, and since the menu is paper and easily updatable, I don't understand why that wasn't reflected not physical nor online menu. They also didn't serve fresh basil this time, which was a letdown, and they charged for extra pita bread, something I wasn't expecting. The kashk-e bademjan and sikanjabin drink were good, though I hoped the drink was colder. I hope they stay consistent with their menu and extras.

So you can imagine it was a pretty big group. The place was buzzing as usual. Turns out two other groups were also celebrating their birthdays there. What are the chances? Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself. I don't even like rice like that; it's not one of my favorite carbs. The Lamb had a very mild flavor. 9.5 out of 10 for me. Chicken Kebob Plate: normally I wouldn't order chicken kebob as I feel that it can get a bit dry, but not at this restaurant. It's pretty much self service you get your own drinks and the food is buffet style. So on to the food. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I like my food well seasoned and I've eaten Mediterranean food that was bland. I looked at the food online and it looked like there was a good variety and a coworker told me they thought it was good but I still had to see for myself. I got a good variety the first time around from the spicy hummus, pasta, salad, variety of chicken and rice, fried chicken, baked tilapia, and chicken kabobs, and fish. All were well seasoned and tasty. I was surprised. This was some of the most flavorful well seasoned Mediterranean food I've ever tasted. I was impressed with the fried chicken and baked tilapia. I also really enjoyed the spicy hummus. I'm not really big on sweets but my coworkers did give the sweets a thumbs up. I'd recommend this spot if someone is looking for an ethnic buffet and I know it was a ideal location for people celebrating Ramadan and breaking their fast.

For drinks, I just had some wine but my mom had the Spicy Moroccan cocktail which she really enjoyed. It was just the right amount of sweet and spicy balance. For food, we weren't super hungry and also wanted to share a few different things, so we ordered the Harissa Trip which came with 3 different kabobs, and the Stonefire Saji chicken. It was actually quite good portions of food if you're not a big eater, definitely was enough to share and take some home. There was not even an acknowledgment that they had forgotten it and then when we called the server back to the table he acted "surprised" we had not gotten it and yet still did not apologize. When we finally got his food, once again, no apology. When we got the check, no apology either. Our water glasses ran on the empty side most of the meal as well, in fact at one point one of our party got up to get the pitcher herself and at that point another waiter jumped in and started refilling our glasses until our waiter saw it and came back and took over the task for the waiter who was covering.
