Chicago croissant. Which is basically a pizza filling inside a croissant crust. It was delicious! I love the croissant crust! The staff was friendly as well!

He said I would have to wait until everyone showed up, but not everyone was there. So I sat down next to my granddaughter. He came over to my chair, trying to explain the same thing. I told him that the lady (who was right across the table from me) had told him that 3 were not coming and that I was trying to help. HE THEN STARTED to verbally abuse me, telling me that I was being rude and that if I didn't stop, he would not be able to teach my granddaughter. I responded that we just needed to end the conversation (the entire time, I was sitting WITH HIM STANDING NEXT TO MY SHOULDER). He continued by calling me rude and threatening. All I could say was we needed to stop the conversation. HE CONTINUED WITH THREATS. Then he decided to kick me out after I made a hand gesture to stop talking. I'd like to return to take one of the classes. They offer classes for children. But they also offer a 2-3 hour class where they teach how to temper and decorate 21 pieces of chocolate that you get to take home! Until then I'll just have to settle with eating them!

Wow. What a lovely spot!! Among the many options displayed upon their beautiful chalkboard, I selected the turkey avocado croissant sandwich. It did not disappoint . The croissant was flaky, the turkey was present, and the avocado had clearly been trained for this moment. The Darshan Mocha was spectacular as well. I would go as far as to say it altered my trajectory as a human being. But the true beauty of this establishment lies in the hospitality of its employees. A sweet little curly-haired boy named Jasper served me efficiently and politely, even saying "Bye Bye!" upon my departure. His service was impeccable. His curls were mesmerizing. I remain unsure whether he is actually employed here or simply lives behind the counter. Meanwhile, a silent but pleasant girl named Tessa made sure my coffee order was exactly to my needs, which soothed my nerves tremendously. She said very little, yet somehow communicated everything. A fascinating individual. The duality of their partnership truly made this experience worthwhile. Jasper is the chaos. Tessa is the silence. Together, they form an ecosystem. As a self-proclaimed coffee snob and having spent years living in Paris, I'm always on the hunt for an authentic café experience here in the states. Which is why I'm over the moon about discovering Darshan coffee shop! The coffee here is simply sublime. Every carefully brewed pour is smooth, rich, and full of flavor. And they're croissants - mon dieu! I know an imposter when I taste one. But Darshan's croissants are the real deal. That perfect flakiness, the buttery interior - it transports me straight back to those cozy cafés in the 5th. And the friendly staff! They remember your name, are on point with your orders and make you feel like part of the family. The atmosphere is so welcoming and neighborly. It's clear the regulars adore this place. I already find myself coming here just to soak in the wonderful community vibe. In short, Darshan is a gem of a coffee shop. What has happened to this bakery. It was an absolute mess today. My friends and I have been coming every Saturday since the day it opened. I am so disappointed in how we were treated by apparently a new hire this morning. Ally tried to explain they are in the process of training and I appreciated her taking the time to listen to our concerns, but is that an excuse for rudeness? There was a line out the door, trash over flowing in the lobby and the almond croissants were gooey on the inside. Gross! My friends like the bakery in the plaza better and I had convinced them Darshan was better but after today I look foolish. Darshan you need to do better or we aren't the only ones you are going to lose. read more

Oh my goodness, let me tell you all about it! These croissants, let me tell you, they were absolutely amazing. And you know what else? I decided to try their Bombay latte, and it was like a taste explosion in my mouth! But that's not all, the guy at the front counter was so incredibly friendly, he made me feel right at home. And let me just mention the place itself, it's decorated so beautifully, it's just a pleasure to be there. Not to mention, it's conveniently located super close to the beach. When you're paying nearly $15 for a small sandwich, you don't expect to bite into inedible ingredients. Just landed my teeth into the hard stem/crown of a tomato that apparently was too much effort to remove. I have never seen this before in any dining experience. I have tried this place several times because of the convenient location, but am always disappointed with how overpriced the food and drinks are for what you get. I've been coming to this bakery for a while, but my latest visit left me really disappointed. The coffee, which used to be a highlight, just doesn't taste as good anymore. Then there's the sandwiches. They're way overpriced for what you get ($18.50!), and to top it off, the prices aren't even fully displayed when you walk in. I had a terrible experience at this place. The young, inexperienced staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful, making the entire visit unpleasant. On top of that, the prices were ridiculously high for what you get. The coffee was absolutely gross--probably the worst I've ever had.
