The salon itself was really clean & well laid out. The lady who did my nails (I think her name was Loan) was great at her job, she was really thorough with how she did them, shaping my nails how I wanted & having me check them multiple times as she went along. Probably the most thorough fill & best reshape I have ever gotten. Another gal, Lisa, painted my actual nails. She was really good & had a bunch of nails on her station with designs on them that she said she did herself. I was very impressed with the designs she had. I didn't get one due to using a holographic polish & getting a French tip; both of which already cost extra money to do. It took about 2 hours from start to finish, but due to how thorough & great they were; I really have no complaints on that front. I wish they had better tv channels, provided drinks & let you sit next to the person you booked your appointment with. Those are the only reasons for not giving this place 5 stars. read more

I went here once and my experience was great, I had a nail tech and she was very good and exceeded my expectations. I called back a few weeks later for a fill and Lana decided to do my fill. Not even 10 days later 2 of my nails broke off and I called to make an appt, whoever answered the phone was rushing me when I was talking and said she was too. Yay to get me in, I said fine I asked for a Sunday appt she said she would call me back and I never got a call back. I paid 45+ a tip and iit wasn't good quality the second time. I felt uncomfortable saying that I wanted them redone (just the big toes that were goopy) and I asked to have the paint removed from my shoes. The response was unprofessional and rude. The nail place itself was very clean and my male technician was extremely nice. However, I'm reviewing at 3 stars because i solely went in to get my gel nails removed without any other treatments due to my nails being very thin and needing a break. As soon as i mentioned this to the owner (who was sitting on her phone the whole time) she immediately treated me poorly. She was upset i didn't have cash or want another treatment and was extremely rude. I would never come back due to the treatment that i received. Do not recommend unless you ask for the male technician When i left i wanted to ensure the man would receive my credit tip and her and another lady started yelling at me that he already knows. I've been going to Dashing Diva Nails for over 4 years. I call in advance to avoid waiting like walk-ins sometimes have to. The technicians do a great job. I pretty much always get a shellac mani-and pedicure. They last at least two weeks, pedis often longer. The salon is very clean. The technicians are very friendly and professional. This nail salon is busy! We called ahead to check on availability for two pedicures, and we were told to come in about half an hour at about 3 on a Wednesday afternoon. During our pedicures, they turned away several walk-ins, so I would definitely call ahead. I picked from the minimal selection of OPI and plentiful selection of China Glaze nail polishes. Opted for OPI (since it's my usual and I'm a creature of habit). I opted for the most basic pedicure for $25 plus a paraffin wax add-on for $5. The basic included a glass of bubbly, the usual nail services (nail cut/trim, cuticle maintenance, polish), and a pleasant lower leg massage. I also got to keep the buffer, nail file, and heel exfoliator thingie. My little piggies look great! My only complaint (and reason for the star deduction) is the price we were charged. Now count with me . . . $25 plus $5 is . . . $30, right? Curiously, she asked for $35, then in response to my puzzled look, she said $32. I didn't want to haggle or make a big deal about her mathematical error, so I just paid $32 plus $5 tip, especially when I usually pay $35 and do not get any bubbly or massage or nail stuff. read more

Was able to get an appointment the same day after messaging the owner via Yelp! to schedule something. Location has a small parking lot next to Plaid Pantry, but I didn't know so I parked on the street, which was also easy. Coming from Seattle it was weird to have to get your own buffer and file, but totally understandable. They sell it for $1.00. I had a gel mani and it's been two weeks and none of the nails have chipped yet, which I am pleased. Scheduled to be back in PDX within the next week or so and am hoping to get my nails redone. I absolutely love this place! Definitely my new spot for nail needs. I had some janky acrylics coming in and they fixed me right up! First off - any place that offers me champagne or a mimosa instantly has my attention! I had shellac on my toes and Ti was so gentle removing it, which I reallly appreciated. I got the deluxe pedi and was so happy with my hot stones, exfoliant, and massage. Then Lana took over my fingernails, I had a full set with gel so she had her work cut out for her (and I have a wonky nail which she took great care of)! Don't let the location fool you! This nail salon is one of my favorite places in Portland. They offer colors that other nail salons don't normally offer: multiple chrome gels, Cat eye colors, Holo Mermaid, etc. Not only is it super clean, there's a big TV, multiple massage pedicure chairs and complimentary beverages (even alcoholic ones!). What's not to like about this place?! The ladies there were all so friendly and has some of the best hospitality, compared to almost all the other nail salons I've been to (& trust me, I've been to quite a few throughout the years). When I came for my annual "pre-Hawaii" nail services before I went home for the holidays, Lana already knew who I was from my one and only amazing first visit I made in June this year before I left home for the summer. I requested for Han when I first made my appointment but came to find out that she doesn't work there anymore. However, that was not a problem! Lana saved me and did another amazing job on my nails. She was flawless on my set. I'm super picky on color combinations, so she helped me pick out one and I'm so glad she did because this set is so beautiful. On the side now, I usually get a cut whenever I get my nails done but at this nail salon, Lana was so careful with me. I felt relaxed and confident that she was going to do a good job. And, for me to say that, it means a lot to completely trust the nail technician. I also got a simple all white gel pedicure done by another nail technician but she also did a great job!! I left Dashing Diva with a big smile on my face. This place is overall superb, I wish they were in Hawaii, but the beauty of their location and Lana & the other ladies is what makes it special for me. I've been getting acrylic nails done for about 8 years now because I work in the veterinary field so nail biting is a huge no-no and I've found that acrylics are the only way I can curb my habit (AKA, I've been to about a million nail salons in my time). I can confidently say that Lana at this salon is by far the best nail technician I've ever worked with. She not only helped me coordinate colors for the design I wanted that would look the best but her attention to detail and kind personality was unlike any technician I've ever worked with. I'd recently been in a bike accident so my nails were in rough condition and she made sure to be especially gentle with me and cleaned/fixed up any damage I had because of it, put on extra primer so my design will last through my endless hand washing at work and even "double filled" the acrylic on my nail that had lifted because of my accident, which she absolutely didn't have to do. I will be making Lana my permanent nail technician and definitely recommend this salon to anyone looking for somewhere new. Also, this set is so summery and I feel so cute, which is what everyone wants to feel like after they get their nails done so thank you for helping me regain some confidence after being in a tragic accident.
