I was looking for a quick drink/happy hour on the way home from work. I stopped by Dave & Busters and sat in the bar area. I ended up ordering from the highlighted spring menu and drink menu. I ordered the shrimp pasta dish. It had fresh spring peas, asparagus, and a white wine lemon sauce. This was delicious. The serving portion was generous. Service at the bar was kinda slow. I ordered the fish and chips when I went with friends to not only watch the Championship games, but to enjoy a friends birthday 1/28. That fish and chips was the worst I ever had. It should have been called a Grease and Salt dish. There was nothing good about it. the three large pieces of battered fish tasted like it was cooked in old cooking oil. I could taste the old oil with every bite. I finally had to dig out the fish to eat it after scraping the heavy amount of salt on each piece of fish. The fries faired no better. the grease from the fish just rolled down and soaked my heavily salted fries. I asked for the maanager and when she arrived I made sure she no longer had a smile on her face. SHe was embarrassed by what I told her and when asked would she eat what I had shown her she did not answer, which gave it all away. Unfortunately, l posted a review of the poor service and disrespectful manager on their Website review and was told that someone from guest relations would reach out. I reached out to them. The outcome was taking the words from the two people who had the most to lose by lying and that's how it was settled. The very rude manager, I'm guessing intimidated the waitress and charged me $ 44 plus for happy hour (2) drinks, lied and said that he own the establishment and that l better not come back to the place. He attempted to have their security to escort me out, but that was unsuccessful. The turnover in that location for managers are as fast as you blink your eye, most likely internal theft. But, as l replied back to guest relations, they lose money at the end, because customers will be lost, for not tolerated rude employees. Guest relations demonstrated that the price of the drinks were more important than common courtesy. Don't ever go to the Capitol Heights location if you don't want to get cheated. I understand that it's a great place to bring your kids for games but that doesn't mean to have the entire establishment looking like a hot mess like kids run the joint. What was supposed to be a chicken sandwich only had what seemed like half of a chicken breast, there was more bacon and bun than the main dish and the fries were room temperature. We visited this Dave & Busters location while visiting family on vacation. Arrived a bit before noon on a Sunday and it was very quiet with very few customers, which is out of the norm for my visits to D&B. The hostess was very nice and was able to get us seated very quickly. We only had appetizers as I don't particularly care for the food here; I only really come for my daughter who loves the games. Anywho, we only ordered appetizers: pizza, pretzels, mozzarella sticks, and chicken quesadillas. I was surprised at how good everything was and how quickly it came out. I guess it was because it was a slow time. I also had a margarita which was very good. Our server could have been a bit more attentive to clearing our dishes and refilling soft drinks/water, but overall he was good. There were a variety of sports playing on the TVs and we were seated in an area where we could view the NCAA track events which I appreciated. Bathrooms were decent, nothing really to complain about but they were clean so that was a plus. My daughter enjoyed the games, but I'm not sure if D&B changed the way you earn tickets because we were there for a long time playing and earned a lot but she only had enough tickets to get a pencil I think. Week day Happy Hour Review. Completely quiet during the early part of happy hour that starts at 4pm. I did not have the food but I did have t he drinks and they were strong and tasty. My female bartender was professional and friendly and I can not say the same for the male. He was rude and had a snarky attitude about him. I was a bit surprised after my visit today. I used to love D&B. The person at the front desk started the visit off a bit shaky. It seemed like we were bothering her. Then we were even more surprised to learn that so many games were broken. We spoke to the manager, Chris, but we were met with a lot of aggression, so we decided it was best to leave. But it was a very disappointing visit from start to finish. Some of the broken games include skee-ball, red cup challenge, and wicked tuna. The manager tried to show that some of the games work (I was still very much surprised by his attitude at this point; it wasn't a personal attack yet he was very upset by the critique and acted as if we were lying) but unfortunately he did not understand that some of the games were functioning (sporadically) while not awarding points or tickets. I hope things improve at the location. It could be such a fun place but unfortunately it wasn't today. The unpleasant interactions with the manager were more disappointing than the games. I also notice that unpleasant attitudes and broken games are themes along these reviews, with some being several months old, so D&B is definitely the problem. read more

Hudson our Server & playing pool was the highlight of our visit. My inner kid came out of the gates when I was told we could play pool at D&B. I thought we were heading to the Silver Spring's location, yet ended up here in Columbia Heights. As soon as we walked in, I saw three (3) PG County Police Officers sitting in the corner eating. They did come in use though when not one, not two, yet three fights broke out amongst the same kid's birthday party...come adults get it together. As a football fanatic, I appreciate the massive TV screens surrounding the circular bar, yet the blue hue of lighting was not a good balance. We opted to sit in the bar area & waited a good 10 minutes before our Server came over & said he'd be right with us. Once he arrived, he stated we had to choose a place to order & eat as he could not deliver our food to us if were in the pool area...to the pool area we went. We reserved a pool table, got situated, our Server Hudson came over & gave us good service throughout our visit, especially with her attentiveness. Aside from the Eggplant Sandwich & a couple of Fried Foods to choose from, not much for a Veggie to choose from. I did appreciate the GM coming over to suggest some alternate aspects, yet still slim to none. I settled for a salad with a piece of Salmon, which took twice to prepare correctly, as the first salad came out with both Salmon & Chicken. Went here on a Monday at noon. The place was not too busy however it still took 30 min for a server to come take our order. There were other tables waiting to order who walked out due to waiting too long also. Some of the other tables had dirty plates and food still sitting there 30 to 40 min from past customers who left. The food was about a 6 out of 10 quality also. The bread on my wifes cheesesteak was over toasted and rock hard. The games seemed good and maintained so I'll give them a plus there. Food wise it was a total wreck and I would never recommend this place. When I got my bill I also found out I had $8 of charges to activate the 3 cards I recieved with my eat and play combos. We choose Dave and Busters for our daughters 6th birthday. Pre Covid it would've always been packed, honestly I prefer it now! lol my kids could run around and could play multiple games back to back. There was plenty staff cleaning the machines and the restrooms were fair. The waiting staff could've been better, once they delivered the food and other parties started arriving we weren't visited as much and we could've used napkins and refills. Other than that my daughter had a great time and she is asking to go back. Now- I didn't reserve a party section. Why? They wanted a guaranteed $800!! That's how much you would have to spend to have a party area. 15 people. I only had 12 kids. I had everyone meet us up there! I love that they've updated the menu so that you can substitute any pasta dish for zoodles!!! As a keto/low-carb eater, this was a huge one for me!! On my last visit, the waiter's drink sever went down which left our waiter unable to serve our alcoholic drinks. Our waiter was Koby, he was awesome! Very polite, informative, patient and helpful. We suggested that maybe if we went to the bar, would we be able to get drinks? Instead, Koby worked it out and got my table's drinks for us and also gave us a discount for the inconvenience. We came for a nice lunch on a Tuesday. Right around opening at 11. Parking lot had some cars by but not many. It was kind of empty inisde. Perfect if you are looking to come during a non busy time. This is our third time coming to this location and it is always the same story. Walk in. Three patrons at the bar. 4 bartenders and an initial 30 minute wait to be greeted. 5 minutes to receive a menu. 15 minutes to get a drink. Receive your food. The bartenders don't come back. I'm unsure of if this is a franchise or corporation but the district manager needs to step in. You will make money due to location and lack of entertainment centers in the area BUT you will never get to peak performance much less year over year profit. Came here tonight to celebrate my nephews birthday so he could have fun, To start off when our server came over he asked us what we wanted to eat and didn't even ask if we wanted anything other than water to drink he took our orders and left (i believe the host brought water). After we got our food he never showed up again until he was waved down to get some drinks. He never showed up again until he brought the check out to us without even asking if we wanted a desert (which we wanted for my nephew ofc). Food was good but there was trash all over the place including the entrance of the bathroom had vomit on the floor and was just covered up with paper towels, i saw multiple employees walk by and ignored it. Including the bathrooms were extremely dirty with paper towels and toilet paper all over the place with also witnessing an employee seeing in the bathrooms stalls and doing nothing about it. There was also a 20% automatic gratuity added to our check of 4 people without ANY notice. It was disgusting. Evening of Saturday, August 15 was the First outing in a long time since Covid and we decided to give Dave and Buster's At Ritchie Station a try. It was pretty scary. Never got out the car because When we arrived we found large unmanaged crowds of younger people outside and crowed inside the interior doors definitely NOT socially distance ( in or out), and majority not masked. The local police were present in front of the building and apparently an altercation broke out within the establishment because more police arrived with sirens on And surrounded the building. We decided to just sit in the parking lot and watch to find the crowds not being contained by the police and at one point the police over the loud speaker advising the groups of youth to leave the parking lot or they would be arrested. Some officers even pulled out the pepper spray canisters to run kids down the drive way. After 30 minutes I called inside to ask the capacity and was told Capacity is approved for 1000 people. (Eyes bugged out my head) Now I know we are in Covid and I know I watch the news and stores are still counting people to enter why a restaurant /game room would be allowed 1000 occupants . Isn't this a large group gathering. The news just highlighted a story on a pool party in upper Marlboro mansion with droves of people just hanging out and socializing. Today at Dave and busters was no different just no swimming pool. This is unacceptable, And Unprofessional business behavior especially during this season of pandemic. There should be more controlled method for receiving guest . Where are the methods for safety and abiding the law? Where was the 6ft tape marks or control of the outside crowds . We wonder why our numbers aren't dropping faster in Prince George's County....this is why. I mean Even six flags is doing reservations to control the crowds. Well..never again! Stopping in on a Sunday after a Redskins game and Dallas was still Playing we expected it to be busy..so the wait to get service wasn't an issue..my issue is with management. Please do not make your guests wait and then have the employees tell them that the specials that are posted all around the restaurant and enclosed within the menu aren't available any longer. I can see perhaps the website being behind..but really! And then when speaking with management the uncaring attitude was just the cherry on top of the "Never returning sundae" which is a shame because I was planning my birthday party there with one of their event coordinators..sorry..not anymore. 4/5/18 well thought we would give it another try and nope still just as bad as the first time. 5:00pm on a Thursday and the place was a mess. Visited on a rainy Saturday, just after the New Year holiday. The place was busy, likely because of the inclement weather. The bar and surrounding tables were full (they are first come, first serve) and the wait for the other table areas exceeded the one hour mark. We opted to get on the waiting list but before we could settle into playing games, a manager - I think? - sat us in a section. He said he was getting a second server to assist. Looking back, we should have left. The server tried her best but everything was lacking - from the time it took to get a menu, to me having to get my own silverware, to the food coming out cold, to having to wait an incredibly long time for drinks from the bar. The experience was just not worth it. After spending 3 hours just trying to get through dinner, we left without playing any games. Two people in our group of four attempted to use the restroom and returned to report that both the men's and women's restrooms were shut down; patrons were being directed to the employee restroom.
