Our grandkids are off for winter break and we promised them that we would take them to Dave & Buster's. We learned by trial and error that it's better to go early to beat the crowd. My family had a blast playing the games with hardly any wait time. Afterwards, we decided to have lunch at the restaurant and our experience there was completely different! We had to wait entirely too long for someone to greet us to be seated. Once seated, we had to wait even longer for our server, who ended up being the same person who sat us. We ordered simple drinks and they took forever! My husband ordered a strawberry lemonade and it came out in a very small cup! He asked about refills to which he was told, "No refills." I said, "Even with this small cup?" We were told that he was served that size because he ordered his drink without ice. Seriously?? She asked if he would like something else? He settled on a pink lemonade. We were charged for both drinks ($3.99 & $2.99). The food, which also took a long time, was not hot. We had to wait a little longer for sauce and ketchup. Everyone enjoyed their food except for me! I got the cheesesteak sliders, with chicken tenders and fries! The top layer of the bread was way too crunchy and the fries were not hot. If you are going to charge these high prices, we should expect to receive quality service and a quality product. My husband and I were very disappointed! On my visit to Dave & Buster's, my friend and I visited the game room and the bowling alley. Game room: Superb. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We had amazing luck, hitting jackpots on tickets for two different machines, which in both cases depleted the ticket supply. When we went to find a staff member, they immediately radioed a repair person, who was back at the machine before I even got back there, fixing it. Bowling alley: Terrible. The bowling balls aren't kept in racks, but rather are kept on the ball return tray. Who knew what balls were in use and which ones were up for grabs? Additionally, this bowling facility appears not to be constructed as well as most bowling facilities are. The balls made a loud thudding sound when they hit the wood, slowed down, and went all different directions, which indicated to me that the lanes weren't as solid as they ought to be. The facility gave the appearance that they put far more effort into flashy appearances on the walls, ceiling, and other fittings, but not enough attention to the main feature: the bowling itself. Appearances are all well and good, but the main attraction needs to be in top shape, and this definitely wasn't, which affected my enjoyment of the bowling.9 Now they just need to add an animatronic band (I suggest The Rock-afire Explosion) to the restaurant, to make the "adult version of ShowBiz Pizza Place" concept complete. read more

Went to the one in White Marsh and this one blew it away. Was much bigger, has a bowling alley and pool tables that the others don't, and the service here was like night and day. Ask for Toya at the bar. She really made our night. The attitude of your bartender can really make or break your night and she def had amazing customer service and a happy and joyful spirit. Who doesn't love Dave & Buster's ?! I will always be a kid at heart. When I say that me and my husband stop at Chuck E Cheese every once in a while to play the arcade games, I'm not joking. So this place is awesome because it's basically chuck e cheese for adults (although its great for kids, too). They have this cool system where all your coins/tickets go onto a card. So you don't have to worry about hauling around buckets coins and yards of tickets. I have to say that I like this location better than the one that just opened in Captiol Heights, although its farther away from me. In my opinion, the crowd here is better. And I haven't actually counted, but I feel like there's more games here. I like the location because since it's a little over an hour and a half from me, I can make a day trip out of coming here. Once I'm done at D&B, I have plenty more to do in the big mall that it's located in, and I can enjoy the rest of my night without having to drive anywhere else. As far as food goes, I wouldn't eat here. It's great for games, but just judging by the general reviews in regards to their food, it's usually not good. That being said, I've never tried it either. Went here last night for a birthday. Waited fifteen minutes to even be acknowledged to buy a card and load it with points. My mother in law bought two cards but they only loaded one. It was packed with children-- think the Chuck E Cheese of your nightmares. A kid actually chucked a skeeball next to the game I was playing and when I went to get it for him he ran to where I was, pressed "Play Again" on my card and started playing. Another customer actually complained to management for standing in line at one game for over forty five minutes while pre teens held it up doing whatever (it was an enclosed 3D game) My food was good, but it took an hour after ordering to get it. I understand it was busy, but our waiter actually said twice it was ready and he was going to get it, then would disappear for another twenty minutes. When we did get our food, my wife received the wrong order. Other than that, we did have a fun time and it's easy (though not exactly cheap) to accumulate tickets. Actually would go again because the games were fun, but maybe when the little monsters are back in school and can't stay out until midnight. read more

Came here to have a good time with my family, we wanted to have dinner first and place some games. The service was horrible very unpleasant experience, the server was cursing about me asking to cancel my order while getting the plates from the table beside us not loud but enough for us to hear her, i was able to get 1 plate of 4 and all the drinks I was still charged for my full order and she even took my receipt, I knew when I checked my mobile bank app the. The food took a while, and when I wanted to ask for salt the serve rolled her eyes, my snow globe was all watered down, I just wanted my salt and return the watered down drink, but after how the server reacted I canceled the order because she was very unpleasant and I felt unwelcome. when I saw the charge, she knew why I requested a manager, yet she did not have the integrity to tell me about the mistake before I even walked out. She said it was due to having to try my card 3 times and again she knew this and did not tell me I could have walked out and charged for meals I did not eat. Very disappointed with our over all experience here. I have to add that the manager was understanding and made it right so I did appreciate him making us feel heard. As far as games and atmosphere go this place is nice, but if we're talking food i'll pass. I'm all for a good food adventure, but the menu here is just ridiculous. The menu here literally reads like a man vs food gauntlet challenge. The few things on the menu that do look decent, only look decent on the menu. I ordered the steak lobster and shrimp pasta during my last visit and i'm still searching for the lobster. It must have been under 1 of my 2 pieces of shrimp, or it got thrown out with the dry overcooked cardboard like pieces of steak that I had to have sent back after I had ordered medium rare. My son got a quesadilla, which they served with a random side of mayo which was kind of gross. I just wasn't feeling this place at all. Pros: great food and food prices. I did the eat and play for 29.19 including tax and tip. I for the Golden fingers meal with a $20 play card. This for me was a far price. It happened to be a Wednesday so the games were also half price so this made the experience even better. It was very clean and the bathrooms were presentable. Con: you had to sit yourself in the game room which was fine but I was sitting over 15 minutes before a waitress made her way to my table which made me extremely annoyed. And the first thing she says is, "oh someone already took your order." I'm like no ma'am they didn't I just been sitting here for over 10 minutes. What happened to this place? This use to be a fun place for adults to chill, get a good drink, watch a game or play a game or two. I hope this was just an off day. We were in the mall and decided to stop in for a quick bite and let my kids play some games. Before I begin This rating is solely based on our dinning experience. The staff in the game room was friendly and helpful. Now on to the restaurant area. The service was horrible!!! We came in around 1:30pm today and were only one of 2 tables seated. It took nearly 20 min for the waitress to come over. She couldn't answer any basic questions about the menu selections and stated that she had only been there a few weeks. So we ordered a kids meal and basic cheese burgers, which took forever and the food arrived luke warm from another server. I noticed we didn't have ketchup and napkins, so I gestured over to our server who was sitting at a corner table eating. She looked up dismissively and returned to stuffing her face. Another server caught my eye and I had her bring the items. 30 minutes later and our server never came back to check on us. We ended up logging on to the app to pay our bill and once we started to get up the waitress comes back and says did you need something. I was so over it. This was one of our first dinning out experiences post COVID and I was sadly disappointed. read more

Where do I begin? 1. The greeter at the desk was so rude. 2. The employees are rude. Nobody wants to work. On the restaurant side the hostess is lazy. They don't even walk you to your table, they just hand you your menus and tell you where to sit. Terrible! 3.server was excellent food was sub par 4. Games and atmosphere was great 5. I'm there quite a bit. An issue I see is the bowling and billiards giving up your ID card. When people of age want to drink then get get asked for their ID it's at the counter for billiards or bowling, then the bartender has to waste time going over to check. Not everyone wants to wait on the waiter(bc some of the bums you have are slow as fuck) and just want a quick drink. Develop a system where you give a stamp or wrist band for verification. Since they want to make all these changes and stuff make it easier for the customers because those are the ones that matter first right?! Another thing, I know in Hawaii after 9-10pm no one under 21 is permitted. I understand the place is connected to the mall and families want to come in after shopping, come on now this is no place for kids after 10pm on a weekend given the type of crowd that's there and to add how some are dressed. read more

Coming to eat here is a complete JOKE! My wife, son and I were seated by a random person that works there because the hostess at the time was in the back eating real quick (according to the random gentleman). No menus no silverware. Really? Moving along, so we're seated and our server (Hope) comes to the table with menus to take our orders. My wife ordered nachos, my son got the kids Mac and cheese while I ordered a classic cheeseburger. Still no silverware. Our server Hope never asked me how I wanted my burger so I waited to see if she would. Realizing that she wouldn't, I stopped her before she left the table to request my burger well done. Noted. My son's Mac and cheese and the wife's nachos makes it to the table precisely 20 minutes from when we first ordered. How did the nachos come to the table UNDERCOOKED? that's a question for the chef. At this point I had to ask for silverware. My wife was so turned off from ordering anything else NOT because of the nachos, but because nothing was offered in substitution. You would think if a dish was somehow made wrong, an establishment would recognize it, offer an apology and/or offer something in place of the dish. An apology was given. 15 semi odd minutes later my burger comes out pinker than the panther himself! No thanks. Only person enjoying their meal is my son. I ask to speak to the manager generally because we sat there for 45mins to watch my son eat. The manager offered her apology but nothing more. Still I was presented with the bill lol. I had to ASK the manager if she could take the kids Mac and cheese off the bill (the least that could've been done imo). I shouldn't have had to ask but I did, and willingly the manager obliged. As a mom to a son who loves Dave and Busters I stopped in around 5 pm on New Year's Eve to relax after an appointment in the Mall. It was shift change time so I encountered two bartenders the first of whom honestly was about to get off and could care less about taking my order the 2nd guy seemed friendly enough until I told him I didn't like the Avocado Toast with Mexican Sweet Corn at which time he asked why I didn't like it and I told him it wasn't the same as the menu described at which time he tried to argue with me that it was exactly the same needless to say my son and I will not be back and this jerk received no tip. read more

Ever run out of ideas of things to do on a date outside of the same ole boring dinner and movies? WELL, enter Dave and Buster's. Let's be clear, D&B is NOT some glamorous and pristine establishment. It's loud, crowded with tons of teens and hygienically questionable. The service is crappy and the food takes forever along with being a miss way more than a hit. Trying to park quickly turns into a rat race for any open space. All of that being said, when you're with your date/friend/fiance/spouse/partner/mistress/fwb/fb/sugar mama/daddy, etc. and want to engage in an activity that doesn't involve handcuffs, chocolate syrup and an NC-17 rating......games anyone? D&B is a massive open space full of games. There are standard race car and shoot 'em up games, skeeball, air hockey, basketball games, etc. There's a roller coaster simulator ride. There's a bowing alley. Plenty of televisions and a full bar area. There are booths in the game area where you can sit down and order food or dessert if you get hungry (best bet is some appetizers and dessert). There's also a whole separate dining room with full bar right next to the game room although there's typically a long wait. Basically everything you can need for a couple of hours of competitive fun. Warning: Fellas if you decide you want to play the basketball games with your romantic interest, be aware that there's probably a line of people standing behind you, watching. Point is be ready to WIN cuz if your girl beats you, rest assured people will know who is really wearing the pants...... Tip: If you plan on impressing your date or just want to have some good food, eat elsewhere. There's a Red Lobster, Longhorn, Olive Garden and Friday's less than 2 minutes driving from D&B. Additionally, you could drive to Columbia (10-15 minutes away) and have better quality options with more variety. read more

I brought my daughter to this D&B for her birthday, and it to literally 40 mins for someone to take our order, and that's after asking 3 different people to help us. If my daughter wasn't so excited to be here to play the games I would have left a long time ago. I ordered a drink and the waitress forgot about it. When I asked someone else to get the drink for me, she comes back and sees the drink on the table in front of me and never comes back to check on us at all. This time around I order the avocado cesar lettuce wrap appetizer (shareable) stated on the menu. It was nothing shareable about the wraps. The wraps were mini baby wraps and wasn't good at all. I always wonder why I offer to take my kids here. Dave and Busters used to be a great place to go and have some fun, but as soon as I'm ready to walk in, I'm just as ready to walk right back out. The power cards that you have to buy are a rip off. The tickets cost too much to put on your power card and the prizes that you win are useless and cheap. After spending close to $200 for 5 boys to play games all they ended up with was a few pieces of candy and cheap toys. In order to get a good prize you need at least 30,000 points which will cost you several hundred dollars. The food in the restaurant is just ok and isn't anything to get excited for. This was my last time coming to this place because I always end up with empty pockets and nothing positive to say about it afterwards. read more

I have been a fan of Dave & Buster's ever since I moved to the states. I mean it's like a "grown up" Chuckie Cheese. Although there are kids there on occasion, if you stay pretty late, it becomes purely couples and groups of friends reliving their childhood memories together. So shall we start with the games? I have only one complaint, there have seem to be quite a few games with errors and glitches lately at this location, mainly the ones that intrigue me to play, so that's the only fix but now that we got that out of the way, I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!!! They have everything, racing, basketball (which I won against my date....every time ::brushes shoulders off:: haha, horse racing, Dance Dance Revolution, PacMan, and even a life size Connect Four! That is always my first stop. :D There is also a bar in the middle of the game room so if you need some liquid cougar in-between games, it's conveniently located in center. They also have pool tables in the back for those who want to play. Now to the food, my favorite of course :P. The food is always great here! Typical bar food with some wannabe upscale entrees. I always get the philly cheesesteak or the wings. They are very tasty! As far as drinks, their Hawaiian Mai Tais are to die for. They are perfectly mixed every time and extremely strong! Dave and Busters, specifically this location, is a great place to come with friends, family, or to go on a fun little date. You can't help but have fun and the staff is pretty attentive. Even if you just want to enjoy the food, drinks, and hugeeeeee TV screens they have in their dining area, you will definitely enjoy it. If Chuck E Cheese is a casino for kids, then this place is Vegas to my five year old. About a decade ago, I would've thought of this place as being primarily for adults, but now that the machines give out tickets for prizes...It's a grown and sexy Chuck E Cheese (Charles E Cheese?) They have a great assortment of games although they are pretty expensive. The accountant in me can't help but see the point system as a clever way to distract people from how much they're paying. It's been this way since they first opened so I can't complain. I get around the price by only coming when they send an email promotion (which is pretty often). Usually you get double points if you spend at least $20. The staff is pretty nice. A manager gave me way more points than I was due because he said he wanted my daughter to have a nice time. About two weeks ago, I came here with about 100 of my ninth graders. They really took care of us. We had a buffet in one of the banquet rooms, and the kids loved the food (chicken fingers, pizza bites, pigs in a blanket, etc). They also did something cool where the kids not only got money on their cards, but they also had the games color coded. One color would take money off the card while the other was free unlimited games. Anything that dispensed tickets cost money, but the racing, shooting, and flying games were all free. Coming from a Title I school with a majority of low income kids, I think that was a very nice set up. We had a blast. read more

As an arcade, this place is pretty cool, but it doesn't advertise itself as "just an arcade" ... this place sells itself on dinner, drinks, and more. I went to eat at their one of many dining areas determined by the sheer lack of available seating and found a seat directly in front of a group of bar tenders. Sitting there for 5 minutes looking at them wasn't enough to get their attention although they shifted their glance in my direction once or twice. I actually had to ask for a menu, to which the one guy throws a menu my way - not a word of "Oh I'm sorry I've completely ignored you sitting directly in front of me salivating" or anything. In the corner, I noticed a sticker reading "For your convenience, a 16% gratuity has been added to your check." So before I've even made an order, the wait staff could care less about giving me the time of day. For which I will NEVER eat at this place. What a joke. read more

Update: Well more like additional info...I rushed writing that review but will provide you with more details. This place sucks. Plain and simple. The games are from 1999 and poorly maintained. You'll find a lot of games do not work. Also since electronics put off a lot of heat, the place is always warm and smell absolutely awful. Yes, there are lots of ghetto people and hoodlums running around so ladies, be careful and watch your purse. Drinks there are over priced. $5 for a regular bottle of bud light... not the 16oz aluminum pint, but just the crappy 12oz glass bottles that should be $3... while that does not sound like much, it's pure principle behind the matter that it is strictly price gouging. The food there is nothing better than what you would find at Applebees or TGI Fridays. The prizes are pretty worthless but that's expected. Just gives you that glimpse of hope to try and win a ton of tickets... knowing very well that that 1,435,039 tickets it takes to get the Xbox One will probably come out to being $5,000 invested in playing Tower of Power. Look if you're going to go here. Put $20 on a card and when that runs out... leave. Give your tickets (if you played that kind of game) to some 8yr old while you're walking out the door. Watching the kid be happy that you just gave him/her some free tickets probably the best thing you'd get out of this dump. read more
