First timer at Dave's and I wish I did not wait so long to try it. We had a disappointing trip to Beach Bully with terrible food so throughly we'd try somewhere new. Literally everything was amazing. My husband and I each got a platter so we could try everything. We were so stuffed but so happy when we finished. I can't even make a recommendation on the menu because it was all so good. The meat was tender. My mouth is Katherine just thinking about it.

This was a pick up and go order so I can't say much about the location but I can about the service. They were packed and our food was ready in the timeframe told so in my book, that's good service. The food itself needs to be talked about as well. The beans were delicious! The mac and cheese could use some help along with the brisket. It was cut thick and it was also more on the drier side. However, the pulled chicken and ribs saved the day with plenty of flavor and moisture. I'd go back for seconds and thirds.

A whole 2 meat platter for only $19?? Fresh smoked meat with some of the best beans in town?? Sign me up! A scrumptious spot hidden in VB, they were out of ribs by the afternoon but their brisket and pulled meat did not disappoint. Highly recommend the green beans and their famous baked beans. This location also had outdoor seating to enjoy your food in the nice sun. Come early to avoid the lines!

Food is and has been consistently delicious for years!! Love the new location on Laskin rd. The dining area is cute, clean and accommodating for families. Just picked up some to-go... the smell in my car was mouthwatering Got a rack of pork spare ribs (saw the special advertised on Instagram), pint of baked beans and banana pudding. WOW!! Sooo good! Everything has so much flavor... the beans whoa!!! The staff is so very friendly and smiling! Can't wait to try more things on the menu!

    pulled pork sandwich

Pulled pork sandwich was really good as well as the mac n cheese. Loved the BBQ sauces they had. Banana pudding was also tasty! Sweet tea could have been sweeter, but overall would come back!

I used to visit Dave's BBQ when they were located at their previous location but I recently discovered their new location off of Laskin and definitely had to stop in. As I walked in, I was very impressed with how large the dining area was. It's wonderful to see such a deserving, local business grow from a small location with few seating to a restaurant style building. The staff were very friendly and assisted me with ordering. I decided on a Two Meat Platter and chose the Brisket and Ribs along with Potato Salad and Baked Beans. I was encouraged to try the Banana Pudding so I ordered that as well lol. The food is served as you order so there's no wait and everything was just as great as I remembered. The ribs were "fall off the bone" tender and the brisket was juicy and flavorful. The baked beans have always been my absolute favorite and the potato salad was savory and wonderful. All of the BBQ sauces were at each table so you could help yourself to as much as you want. The banana pudding was pretty good but I would have loved more bananas and cookies. I will forever recommend Dave's BBQ to anyone looking for a BBQ spot with great food and wonderful customer service. I am so happy that this place is still thriving! Definitely stop in and check them out!

Without a doubt - THE BEST BBQ IN THE 757. I've been coming here since before they moved to a larger location. It's the same quality, but now there's more space to sit. The brisket is excellent, and the jalapeño sausage is probably some of the best I've had. Pulled pork is good. The smoked baked beans are legit. Spicy slaw has some heat but is very flavorful. The Meat Staq is my go-to, and often, I have enough to eat another meal out of it. The banana pudding is also great. Don't fret about the cost; it's super tasty, and the portions are like you wouldn't believe. Don't skip Dave's.

We've been wanting to try them out, so we did! Great customer service, very friendly! The inside is nicely decorated for a BBQ joint. Funny T-Shirts. Food was more than enough, we had to get doggie bags.

Dave's is the BEST BBQ in the area. Their platters are AMAZING!!! I have even had my birthday party at Dave's that's how much I love it. The brisket is the most tender and flavorful piece of meat you will ever have. My aunt and uncle came from Michigan and we took them for lunch. Oh to see the look on peoples face when they try it for the first time is great. The ribs are melt in your mouth wonderful and Dave also has different sauce. Even eating something as simple as pulled chicken. You will be amazed how much flavor there is.YUM YUM YUM. My husband and I love the smoked turkey on a croissant. There is so much meat on each sandwich . Big thick delicious sliced smoked turkey and a beautiful light tasty croissant. YUM YUM UM. They have drinks in bottles and containers Then they also have sides and sometimes that changes so check the menu when you go. This is a small place with inside and outside seating but they are worth it.

I brought a party of 5 to finally partake in the culinary excellence that Eurasia has to offer. As a collective we ordered- STEAK N EGGS w/ no egg : such depth in all aspects of every bite. The polenta and steak were cooked with absolute precision. PEANUT CHICKEN WINGS : probably my absolute favorite of the entire spread. The tartness of the peanut butter was a very pleasant surprise. I would absolutely purchase a jar of the sauce alone. CRAB RANGOON FLATBREAD : an elevated version of a favorite take out additive. Sauce to ingredient ratio was to die for! GREEN GODDESS & MANGO SALAD : this salad was dressed to perfection, allowing all items to shine in its each individual way. CHILI CRUNCH TUNA POKE : I mean you quite literally will explode with satisfaction with every bite. The freshness and variety of flavor / texture is impeccable. FRIED RICE W/EGG ON SIDE : you can absolutely distinguish that whoever is on the line preparing your fried rice is doing so with the experience in mind. The preparation of the shrimp, the array of colored FRESH vegetables, and the rice itself. DIRTY MARTINI FETTUCINE PASTA : a blue cheese olive dirty martini is my all time favorite drink so lo and behold, there was a pasta created by its existence. The block of blue cheese down to the plethora of capers, absolute chefs kiss. BBQ DUCK : honestly if this was all I ordered , I would be more than satisfied. This item was accompanied by the most decadent Mac & Cheese , a perfected bowl of collard greens, and the pickled mountain of cabbage. STRAWBERRY CRUMB CRÈME BRÛLÉE : for the most part , I tend to stray away from a crème brûlée due to the lack of creativity. HOWEVER, the strawberry crunch crumbs and that dream of a sugar crust. I could clear a couple plates of this. PASSIONFRUIT & PANDAN TART : this hit every note of a well rounded dessert. The passionfruit was so tart with a subtle sourness that aided the coconut shortbread cookie. I would like to shout out our waitress Fantasia for an amazing service that evening by ensuring the plates never stopped coming, drinks stayed full, and any requests satisfied. As well as Chef Braedon for coming out to introduce himself and explain the magic he placed on our table. My friends and I will most definitely be back.

The ambiance was nice, the open kitchen with the wood fire hearth right at the entrance added a warm cozy feel from the onset. The restaurant was warmly lit but not dark. We were seated immediately in the far left dining area in an elevated booth. After reviewing the menu we settled on the fried deviled eggs and wood fire oysters for starters and the Vincent Vega pizza for dinner. Fried deviled eggs was a first for us and it was so good! The egg white was breaded very lightly and fried and the egg yolk was piped on top with a piece of smoky delicious bacon goodness. It had a nice smoky, bacon-y taste and we devoured them. I only wish you got more than 2 pieces. I think 4 pieces would be better for the price considering it's essentially one egg but I'm not complaining. The wood fire oysters was another hit for us, the serving came with 6 half shell oysters topped with breadcrumbs (light), swimming in butter and fire roasted. I think we ate these even faster than the deviled eggs lol! Would definitely get these again. The pizza also did not disappoint. If you like bacon, mushrooms and creamy Boursin cheese, you'll love this pizza. We added crushed red pepper flakes which added a nice kick. The crust is the star of the show; thin, crispy but still has body and slightly chewy. Yum! That wood fire hearth definitely makes a difference. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back! The staff were also very nice and friendly.

The menu has a good variety of food and beverage options. They even have mocktails and can make any mimosa (flavor) non-alcoholic. For breakfast I opted for coffee (free refills), and the Chicken and Waffles, specifically the Life's a Peach option. Coffee was good, not too strong, not too weak! The meal was also good, think peach cobbler, with chicken. The waffle was thick and soft. The chicken was lightly seasoned and crispy. The peaches were on top of the chicken, but I think on top of the waffles would have been a better call (so I reconfigured things myself). Half way through eating I noticed the candied pecans were missing so I asked my waitress because I was interested in trying them with the dish. She noted that they didn't have them and haven't been able to get any for over a week. While I would have ordered the dish anyway, it would have been nice to be told upfront. Another downside of the meal was the third chicken tender was all batter, I didn't see a bit of meat in there. Check out the picture and let me know if you see it. First, let me say the service was absolutely TOP TIER! The staff was attentive, friendly, and the overall atmosphere definitely gave that elevated dining experience. I don't mind paying for a fine dining experience as long as the food matches the experience. We started with the crab dip appetizer, and honestly it was solid. Definitely a good appetizer choice. For drinks, I kept it simple with a tequila sunset and substituted pineapple juice for orange juice a good drink! Now for the meals. I ordered the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hate to even say this because I had such high hopes, but the lamb chops lacked seasoning for me. I ordered them medium, but they were definitely more medium rare. I love a medium rare ribeye, but not so much with lamb chops. The mashed potatoes and green beans were decent, but overall needed a little more flavor. My husband had the Butcher's Burger with wedges. He said it was a solid burger, slightly overcooked, but still good overall. He did enjoy the different flavor the pork belly added. My daughter ordered the Pasta Pescatore and said it was good, but not necessarily an "oh my goodness, I have to come back for this" type of dish. Overall, because so many people told me I would LOVE The Butcher's Son, I think my expectations were extremely high.
