My husband and I were unfortunate to have parking lot fender-benders with each of our vehicles in the same month! We are fairly new to the area, and working with two different insurance companies. Both companies recommended Dave's. We were very pleased with the results on both vehicles, and Dave worked well with the rental companies (both Hertz and Enterprise) to make car exchange easy, and even stayed late to help us avoid extra charges on the turn in. The work on both vehicles was completed in a reasonable time. He also worked with us on a fair price for some additional touch up work on our truck, while it was in the shop. Like someone else said he over promises. We had a very specific deadline that he promised to meet "but we had to order the parts today" It cost is additional hundreds of dollars to change things because he could not meet the deadline and went over by a week. He also can not communicate and frequently changes the story. He also went over the bill. Y a couple hundred dollars without approval. In terms of work to my eyes it looked good but my husband said the paint job had an orange peel appearance. Even while we were waiting two hours past the time he told us to come another customer was screaming because his car had been there for weeks. Horrible experience. read more

Come here if you want to be scammed, but not if you want your car fixed. Dave is a person who over promises and under delivers and is not knowledgeable about cars AT. ALL. My dad is an engineer who knows a little bit about cars and was able to call Dave out when he said my brake fluid was out and "had been for some time." My dad opened the hood right up and pointed out the brake fluid which was obviously NOT empty. Dave is a person who preys on people to make money, does not care about his customers and has the worst communication EVER. A repair that my insurance said should take 2 days ended up taking 5 weeks. Dave's Collision did an excellent job repairing our car after it was in an accident in Washington State. Estimate was $1,000 cheaper than the estimate in Washington as well. Awful business. They avoided me for 3 weeks while my car sat in their shop and I paid $40/day for a rental car. When they finally decided to fix the car, their fix didn't work. I went back and they diagnosed the problem and scheduled an appointment which they did not keep. They also couldn't keep the rescheduled appointment and told me the parts were on order for 8 days! I went to my local mechanic and had the car fixed the same day. I would never recommend or use them again. read more

Dont choose this place! I was in an accident and through progressive this was one of two shops that I was given the option between this shop and another in town. I googled it and went solely off the reviews between the two shops not thinking anything more of it than simple work to be done. this place made sure it was everything but. When I got the call from Dave that the car was "ready" I was dealing with a family emergency out of town, so when he immediately demanded I be there I was there within 12 hours with a 7 hour drive on no sleep. The car wasn't done of course, it took another weak due to parts coming from out of state he now needed because he only checked the alignment after I mentioned to him that it was not driving right due to the accident. Seems like that would be pretty common sense, repairs took another week of Dave telling me for a week he guarantees the car would be ready the next day with just as big of a promise as the previous day. When I finally got sick of a man not keeping his word he blamed it on the where he was getting the parts from while copping an attitude and dropping all responsibility seeing no issue with an owner of a business not keeping his HUGE promises day by day. Once I picked up the car the check engine light was on which he told me it would be fine. it wasn't. After dealing with Progressive another 3 weeks and 2 more shops we finally got the issue fixed. Dave with all the time and promises in the world failed to plug in a cable to the main computer of my vehicle. Now weeks and money and time of dealing with the biggest inconvenience I've ever dealt with all because of Daves laziness and arrogance the only hope I wish to achieve by writing this is to stray any and all business away from this shop. The one voicemail I received from Dave since was him hoping to retrieve a rim he left in my trunk that he wanted me to bring back. That rims in the trash along with my respect for you! If you need any collision work done and live in CG I promise you it will be worth taking your car out of town to the valley or phoenix to a real shop and never deal with this over promise underdeliver joke! I can not say enough good things about Dave's Collision Specialists in Casa Grande, AZ. I dropped my truck off on Tuesday (9/3) to have repairs done after it was hit in Bisbee. Received call from Dave yesterday (9/6) that repairs were almost completed, and I picked up truck at 6:30 PM. Waiting on new Rock Tamer mud flaps that will be in Tuesday. read more

Update took my car there for a second time and had to wait almost 2 months to get my car he harassed me 4 the insurance check that I didn't receive until 2 weeks later after the fact he told me he was going to call my lien holder if I didn't give him the insurance check even before any work was done on my car. After giving him the insurance check I still had to wait two months for my car to finish this place is a complete nightmare. So I'm getting estimates for auto body repair to our truck and on the recommendation of another body shop I head to Dave's Collision in Casa Grande for a second estimate. I wish I would have checked Yelp before wasting 20 min of my life. The receptionist was very nice on entry, then enters Dave. In the middle of explaining the cause of the damage to him, he decides to take a call without excusing himself or apologizing after finished with the call. Nothing ticks me off more than rude customer service. So now we are headed out to the parking lot to look at the vehicle, but Dave needs to take another call so I continued to the parking lot without him and wait. Again no apology. While taking information for my vehicle Dave says, How did you find out about me? I tell him another auto body shop in town recommended you. Dave replies HUH, We'll you only need one estimate (Like I am supposed to know!). At this point I should have grabbed my stuff and left but being a nice person I persist so I can get my other estimate requested by the Insurance Company. Now we go back into the office and I am told to wait in the hall, while Dave completes the estimate inside his office. While he's working on my estimate he calls a vendor to complain about where his parts are for another job and telling them how he's pissed off that he doesn't get his parts. So I finally get my estimate, which was about half as much as the first place, and I tell Dave what the other shop quoted. He tells me that that's wrong and totally questioning the ethics of the other shop. I tell Him I'm just doing what the Insurance Company has requested. Thanks! and walk out. When I get out to my vehicle I look at Dave's business card and he is the President of the company. If his representation of his company is that bad I would hate to see the finished products comming out of the shop. Remember this was all over an ESTIMATE! UPDATE: It is now March 6th, 2017. Dave continues to ignore our phone calls and emails in regards to the $420.38 he owes us from keeping our truck longer than the insurance approved (because his shop ordered the wrong part) AND has also neglected us in sending a supplement to the insurance company so that our $900 hitch would be replaced. We our now having to resort to litigation for this. THANKS DAVE'S COLLISION!! I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy!! What a nightmare this has been!! August 2016 - WORST customer service of all time. There is ZERO follow through with anything they say they are going to do. They were to handle an insurance claim with THEIR vendor Enterprise. They never followed up with anything properly. We were charged over $500 from Enterprise as someone needed to pay. Because Dave's did not do what they told us they were going to do (which, mind you, is a simple process of communication AND their job when handling claim work) we have been charged the money and left to sort it out on our own. THANKS, DAVE'S COLLISION! This has been the biggest nightmare, and I would not recommend this company even if your insurance tells you to go there, demand another vendor! read more

Hi, I wanted to write this review to Thank Dave, Toni, Chris and Josh for excellent customer service and for doing an outstanding job with my collision repair on my GMC Yukon XL. I dropped it off on Monday, July 30 at 5:00 pm and it was ready Friday, August 3, at 5:30 pm. I am very impressed and happy about the quality of the repair performed on my vehicle. The repairs are amazing. Honestly, I was originally concerned about them doing my repair because of the negative reviews that are posted on this site. But, upon entering Dave's Collision Specialist I was greeted by Toni, she was most kind and had a beautiful smile and possessed great customer service skills. I asked to meet Dave so that I could judge for myself whether or not I wanted to have my vehicle repaired at his shop. I was immediately put at ease with his conversation, smiles and his company's commitment to providing excellent customer service. I knew then that this was the place for my repairs. I was offered bottled water upon entering and they contacted Enterprise to let them know I was ready to be picked up. I then met Chris and we went outside to inspect the damage to my vehicle. He was thorough in letting me know what the process was for the service repair of my vehicle. He answered all my questions. It was really hot but he was patient and kind in letting me know that he would be in communication with me about repairs and wanted to make sure all my questions were answered. He was great. As a person and customer that wants things done correctly the first time, and being a person that wants to be treated as a valued customer, Dave's Collision was perfect. I really hate to write this, but if it saves anyone from my experience, it will be worth it. I have been a Dave's customer for a number of years, since moving up from Tucson to Casa Grande when I retired. IMO, his work was never as good as The Shop in Tucson, but I figured, OK that's the best I can get in this sleepy hamlet. Two of the repairs he made to my car, about four years ago, involved a repaint of the rear bumper cover (I custom Two Toned it and repaired a scratch I made with a trash can) and a front bumper cover replacement and repaint. I requested three coats of clear on the front, and he assured he would comply with my wishes. Well, a month or so ago, I did a foolish thing, and drove right over a set of ramps. I use the ramps to do maintenance on my Lexus ISF. That fiasco ruined both rocker panels and I needed to replace them. I also needed to refinish the front bumper since it had pitted badly since the replacement. I brought it to Dave's and also to Service King. I did not like the folks at Service King. So I decided to have Dave do the work. When I got home, a neighbor told me about Casa Grande Street Rods, and how happy he had been with them. So I thought what the heck and went there for an estimate. I'm glad I did. They were the cheapest, and both Tyrel and Allan seemed genuinely interested in my car, and they were enthusiasts. I liked the atmosphere a lot. They also did a GREAT job. The paint is a perfect match and bumper cover and rockers were applied perfectly. But, when I picked up my car Tyrel told me that there was very little clear on the front bumper cover which is why it chipped so badly. And then, the kicker, he told me, and showed me where there was a previous repair of my left rear quarter panel. Now, I bought my car brand new from Superstition Springs Lexus, and I have never damaged any metal body work on my car. The only thing I can figure, is that Dave damaged it the last time it was there (over 4 years ago), and repaired it and never told me about it. I regularly wax my card and never noticed it before. But when inspected closely the filler can be seen. My ISF is a Garage Queen, so this is extremely upsetting to me. Since it's been so long, there is nothing I can do about it now except to warn others. read more

Terrible customer relations Way WAY over priced for the terrible quality of work paint already bubbling

I recently had to take my van in for repair and was able to get right in for a quote. The service was friendly and fast. I had zero problems and loved that I was supporting a local business. The quote was by far the fairest in town and I could tell that they were honest and upfront. He knew I had a high deductible and gave me really good advice on how to move forward. They could have easily taken me for every dime, but they didn't and even worked with me. read more

Our car was kept for over 3 months and when we got it back, by demanding it, the car had further damage to the car not related to what the car was in his shop for. He still collected deductible and has already collected over $11,000 from Essuarance. Our car when we took possession had bird feces all over the leather interior, back seat was coming apart, tailgate does not open, drivers door does not open properly, there are scratches all over the hood and many more issues. read more

I read allot of bad reviews but didn't experience any of that at all. I had my ram rear-ended and when I had the estimate done they allowed me to pick an aftermarket off-road bumper to be covered with no out of pocket. Worked great with insurance, had Enterprise pick me up when I dropped my truck off. Replaced the bumper and fixed and painted the tailgate and had it back with in a week. Stayed late for me to pick up and was able to drop off rental at his shop for Enterprise to pick up. If that wasn't enough when I got home to Maricopa realized I had left my garage door opener in the rental called Dave after hours and his son drive it out to me in Maricopa. I had damage on the roof of my toy hauler! I took it to Dave's. Big mistake they kept it for a week and the repair work was shoddy! It looks horrible and leaks when it rains! Won't trust them with my vehicle! I did get a quote once! Only one repair shop was higher, the other was very close to the same price within $200. The last one was lower and was on my insurance' list of preferred shops! read more
