Visiting, from California, some dear friends in Mesa, we ventured through the triple-digit heat for about 20 minutes to get there. Even they as locals had never heard of the place, hidden amidst miles of chain stores and strip malls. But it wasn't long before we were all singing its praises and vowing to return. Across the board, every dish was peak: ultra-creamy and subtly garlicky hummus; silken, appropriately smoky baba ghannouj; perfectly crisp, tender, not-doughy-inside falafel; and herby tabbouli, light (but not vanishingly so) on the bulgur in the Levantine style. These basics always make or break such a restaurant, and they were all outstanding. Add to this seldom-seen delights like foul medamas (fava-bean soup), four variants of ghallabah (grilled meats or seafood), chack-chouka/shakshuka (eggs poached in tomatoes and onions), and two types of pita baked on premises and served from the oven--all in generous portions and at reasonable prices--and it's worth the drive wherever you are in Phoenix and environs. I would eat here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I lived here. I will absolutely return on my next visit.

She said she'd bring out the pee-packaged pita bread and the fresh bread that we paid extra for. Then she never brought out the pee-packaged stuff like she said she was going to. The bread was ok, but they only gave us 3 pieces of pita bread which were about the size of a sand dollar. This was not enough bread for 2 people with 3 dips. Also, the fries were the kind of fries you get when it looks like they haven't cleaned the grease in a while. The babaganoush was really good. But everything else was pretty mediocre. I've been here 3 or 4 times and everytime I feel as though the service is bad and the food is overpriced. It's really sad, but I want to like this place, but I can't. Also, they have a rewards program but my waitress didn't try to get me to sign up. I asked when I saw it. It's a pet peeve of mine. But- I guess she doesn't really care or offer it because she probably doesn't think people will come back. My friend who joined me tonight is Muslim and she needed a place to pray, but this place didn't have one. I was surprised to learn that tonight as well. Spend your money elsewhere.

I did not get the full meal with fries but it is $5 more to add fries to your order and I just can't imagine that it would be worth it. I did see another customer with fries and at best, I'd expect to pay maybe $3 more for what they were served. I don't expect to return. It's too bad because everything does taste good. It just isn't worth the price. Also, I ordered baklava with my to go order. There was only one table there eating and they'd already been served so they were not busy. They forgot the baklava and I had to go back in for it. $2.50 for a 2x2 inch square.

I have only ever been to this restaurant through the drive thru since i live far away, so i'm unfamiliar with the inside of the store, but service through the drive thru is very quick and the people working are very nice. Who knows, but not me! So I just moved on and got a sandwich elsewhere. I gave 2 stars as the menu does look good and there's a handful of 5 star reviews that lead me to believe they could be good, but only time will tell if I dare to try again.

Surprisingly not too salty. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well, no gristle and crispy good. The sausage gravy had a nice hint of herb, but a little more salty than I prefer. Happy to have a location just right down the road from us to transport us back there. Such a huge menu with tons of amazing options. My husband and I both ordered omelettes-- he got the California omelette and I went for the Harvest (I ordered mine without cheese). Both were fluffy and delicious and came with a side of house fries (potatoes), or hash browns as well as a side of toast. I preferred my husband's house fries, as the hash browns were a little undercooked in the middle and I prefer more of a crispy hash brown. My husband also ordered a waffle, and was very unique! Almost like a pancake with waffle griddle marks. Served with butter and maple syrup, you can't go wrong. We were able to get seated quickly despite it being Easter and our server is friendly And attentive. We will definitely be back to try other menu options.

The chicken bites were pretty good, especially when coated with enough sauce. The fries, though, didn't hold up well under all the chicken and toppings--they turned soggy pretty quickly. After a couple bites, I ended up just eating the chicken and tossing most of the fries.
