They have a wide variety but their ordering system can be confusing. I got the ranger chicken sandwich without the jam. Sandwich was cooked fresh and on a brioche bun that was fresh. The tater tots were some of the best I've had with a good crunch and soft center. My only complaint was the price. My sandwich, tater tots and a 16 oz drink was $18.00. WARNING, HOSTILE EMPLOYEES! We have been loyal customers since Birdcall opened and visit multiple times a month. Last night changed that completely. I ordered through the app for pickup, as I have many times before, and was standing quietly in the pickup area waiting for my food. An employee named Dee approached me and asked if she could help. I politely said no, I was just waiting for my order. She then persisted and told me I needed to tell her what food I was waiting for so she could "verify" I was allowed to take it. This has never been their normal process. I calmly declined again and asked to be left alone. Instead of backing off, she stood inches from my body and continued pressing me. I had to explicitly ask her to step away from me. At this point my husband, who was on the phone with me, asked why an employee was harassing me. I asked to speak to a manager. Gabe came over, rolled his eyes, and immediately said, "I don't believe you." He then told me he didn't have time for this, handed me my food, and said "have a good day," completely dismissing the situation. It got worse. The same employee came back up to me, again inches from my body, and whispered, "Kindness is deceiving, see." I reported this to the manager immediately. His response was to tell me to "just take your food and go." The employee then approached me again and asked, "Do you have a problem with me?" still invading my personal space. I asked for a refund and a receipt. They pretended to print something and handed me a standard receipt instead. No apology. No acknowledgment. No attempt to de-escalate or protect a customer who was clearly uncomfortable. This experience was violating, hostile, and completely mishandled by management. Being dismissed, disbelieved, and repeatedly confronted by the same employee while management stood by is unacceptable. Employees who behave this way should not be interacting with customers, and managers who refuse to intervene should not be managing anyone. I am appalled and will be escalating this as far as necessary. What happened last night should never happen to any customer. read more

This is the place you always see driving past San tan, and I finally tried it. Sad to say, I was a bit disappointed. First though, it does have a great outdoor seating and large indoor seating area where you can do your order in a computer. The outdoor seating was not clean though so we had to make do. Our order took a while but there were people ahead of us which made sense. I ordered a salad with chicken which was $3 extra. They forgot my chicken. They added it but was not worth the price. The dressing was ok, my favorite part were the side of tots (which doesn't come with anything unless you get a pack) and the sauce. I also tried one of the burgers and it was ok. read more

However I was slightly disappointed when I took my order to go and then open it up and see a chunk missing from the bun. The flavors weren't bad but wasn't as schezuan spicy as I was looking for. Overall I wish the portion sizes were slightly larger however as it was a Togo order in the drive through maybe that was why the fries were a bit smaller. Also the size of the chicken sandwich is almost in-between a traditional chicken sandwich and a slider. Either way, I'm glad we stopped by and spent our lunch here! I didn't know much about Birdcall, but walking in i was very impressed! There was a bar up front, but all your orders were at the self-checkout tablets. There was plenty of seating indoors and a Ninja Turtles Arcada game. There was more seating outside with a small mini-golf area. My husband ordered the Deluxe sandwich, I ordered a 5-piece tenders box, and we ordered my little one a kids meal which came with two tenders, fruit cup, and milk (you have options for the side and the drink). We also sat outside next to the mini-golf strip. A combination of the weather and little enjoying the area, we really enjoyed our visit! The chicken was very tender for all of our meals and the Birdcall sauce was very good! The fruit cup was a little disappointing since it was only mandarin segments with big seeds i had to take out and lots of grapes. I wish I could give this place three and a half stars. It's good food, the chicken's amazing. However, the spicy chicken is a joke, they literally just sprinkle paprika and cayenne. As soon as you step into this place, your hit with gorgeous pendant lighting hung throughout. Plenty of outdoor seating is offered with yard games to keep the entertainment going. A self serve establishment where you can place your own order at one of the few touch screen kiosks. I ordered the 3 strip Nashville hot chicken combo with fries, and my cousin had the chicken sandwich with tots. The chicken was very dry and didn't offer much flavor. Fries were okay, tasted as if they had been sitting for a while, which I didn't expect as our food took longer than expected to be ready. I've been seeing ads for this restaurant chain for a while and decided to stop by the next time I was in the Phoenix area. I got the Slider & Tenders Box and for $10 it was a pretty good deal. I chose the Lux slider which was a tender wrapped in bread with lettuce, a small strip of bacon, a pickle slice, and dressing. The sliders were on the smaller side but they were tender and flavorful. I had the tater tots for the side and they weren't what I was expecting. They were really soggy and didn't have any flavor. I chose the herb mayo for my sauce and received one tiny cup. I'd stop by here again but only if I'm already in the area. I decided to head to this location which is one of two in the Phoenix metro area. The ambiance feels like an "upscale" fast food restaurant with a beautiful and clean dining room as well as outdoor seating, though it's mostly self-service. You can place your order using a screen at the counter then collect it from the pick-up window once it's ready. As a non-meat eater, I appreciate their meatless offering, the Meati as well as their gluten-free bun option. Both are great in my opinion. However, the Meati is only available as a sandwich. So far, my favorite is the Buffalo which comes with your protein of choice tossed in Buffalo sauce, tomato, and blue cheese coleslaw. Very tasty. I also enjoy their fries. They also change out one sandwich each month to give you a new tasty option. The chicken tenders are cooked perfectly and have great breading and are decently sized. They have multiple count options depending on how hungry you are. They also offer gluten and dairy free nuggets that are actually very tasty. When ordering tenders or nuggets you get two sauce choices. The sauce cups are a little small and I wish they were double the size. The chipotle bbq and sweet mustard are my favorite. The French fries are shoe string style and taste delicious. And if tots are your thing they also have those available. If you aren't starving they have the perfect sized sliders to nibble on and even offer salads if you need a healthier option. And don't pass on the shakes they are soooo good. I like Birdcall. Sure, they're chicken sandwiches, but they have some good standards and a rotating special. Plus, the tots are good. (IMO, the fries are to be avoided) This is the first time I've ordered a salad as my side and I was impressed with the quality and quantity: spinach, kale and romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes and cucumber. Their sweet tea is not overly sweet (so, not technically a "Southern sweet tea" and more like a "sweetened black tea." This location does not have as many non-alcoholic drink options as some others, but there is some variety. It's the usual Birdcall drill: order on the kiosk then watch the monitor for your order to be delivered to a "bay" for pickup. They have a larger outside seating area than some locations. My K-Pop sandwich was ok. The kimchi slaw was nice but I found the sauce to be way more salty than spicy, which was disappointing. Crank up the gochujang, please! read more

I don't recommend driving through and taking home. You should eat here or in your car. It's best when hot. First time I have been here. Last time I looked they had no grilled chicken option. Perhaps I was mistaken and went past it to Torchy's. (Which could become a story sometime.) But a couple of weeks ago I was looking for a lunch bite in the neighborhood and we saw the grilled option. Time to check it out. The person at the front was very polite and helpful in ordering. I had the teriyaki grilled chicken and it was pretty dang good. Wife had the BBQ chicken grilled with a LOT of bacon jam on it. Over powering but substantial and good. I will definitely be back. I tried their limited time menu offering, Chicken Shwarma, which was good. The sandwich itself isn't overly large, but not small. I would expect it to be a little larger for the price of one sandwich at $10+. I ran out of chicken on the last part of my sandwich, and left with just the bun. The bun is spongy and definitely liked the bun. The sandwich flavors were good, this had a Mediterranean vibe with cucumbers and hummus. I didn't get any sides so I can't comment on that. The ordering process is through a kiosk, even with no one in line and staff at the front counter, you have to use the kiosks. And you do swipe your card first before picking menu items. Strange process. The staff member was kind enough to walk me through the kiosk situation, but it not a big fan of kiosk ordering and prefer interacting with real living humans. I can see this ordering as a way to limit hiring staff. But the lack of personal touch is part of the reason for taking away a star. After ordering, your name will go up on the TV screen above the pick up window bays, and you'll see how long your order will take and to which cubby your order will be delivered. One of my new favorite places in Gilbert. A round of applause for whoever designed this location - ambiance and convenient! First - let's talk about the TWO separate drive thru lanes - one is your traditional drive thru where you look at the menu and order and the second lane is for digital pickup orders! I often order online and then it's smooth sailing through the digital pick up order lane. Second - if you are dining in, you walk in and you order at a kiosk! As someone who usually isn't shy, but ordering at a kiosk is just so efficient and I can replace ingredients and/or take out ingredients without feeling like a nuisance. After you place your order, there's a section of cubbies where you pick up your order and there's a tv counting down until your order is ready! Lastly - I probably should have put this first, but the food is good! My personal favorite is The Rancher - it has the Bird B-Q sauce and little bacon bits. Their fries and tots are both so good, especially with the Bird B-Q sauce. Their chicken sandwiches are really good, but I wasn't a big fan of the nuggets and tenders. Ok Birdcall, I see you!!!! My husband and I came in on a Saturday night. There was a line to order at the kiosk, but it moved quickly. Once you order at the kiosk, your name is on a big tv, and your order is ready in the bay listed. We weren't really sure how it worked at first, but saw the big tv across from our table. I feel like there were so many employees trying to help people figure out what to do, they might as well have been taking orders. We saw some workers take peoples dishes out of the way, while other tables sat dirty for several minutes after customers left. We both used the bathrooms to wash our hands before dinner, and we were shocked that there were no paper towels (only one hand dryer) and you have to pull the door to get out of the bathroom - that's not the most sanitary thing. Onto the food - the star of the show! I had the original chicken sandwich, a nod to chick fil a's original chicken sandwich, I'm sure. It was exactly the same, but elevated! The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and was seasoned incredibly well. I was only missing some sort of sauce. All sauces (except ketchup) are 50 cents for a 1oz cup - a ripoff IMO. The fries were good and reminded me of how Burger King's fries used to be in the 90s lol. You get a pretty big serving for the price you pay. We also tried the coleslaw. It tasted fresh and not soggy! We need a Birdcall in Las Vegas! My family and I were visiting Phoenix for a few days, and Birdcall was near the hotel we were staying at in Gilbert / San Tan Arizona. I was debating between the Cordon Bleu, the Rancher, and their original chicken sandwich! The team member at Birdcall came up to our vehicle and took our order. The inside of the restaurant was packed! A ton of customers were using the outside patio area as well, but the drive-thru wasn't too bad on a Thursday evening around 8:00 P.M! Our order consisted of the following Rancher: All-natural crispy chicken, bacon onion jam, white cheddar, and Bird-B-Q Sauce (may contain: gluten, dairy, and egg) 5-Piece Tenders: All-natural crispy chicken tenders (may contain: gluten, dairy, and egg) Classic Chocolate Milkshake: Hand-spun chocolate milkshake (may contain: dairy) The Rancher chicken sandwich was awesome! The chicken was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the sauce was the perfect finishing touch. This was my first time having a bacon onion jam, and wow! I hope it's not my last!
