We came here for a quick lunch on a Sunday. Was not busy at all, but the wait was quite long considering. We sat on the patio which was nice as it is dog friendly and were able to bring our dog. I was at a community event that was close to this location, which was great because I have been wanting to try the spot just because of Shaq and he thinks he knows chicken so well. The mac & cheese was one of their signature dishes. It was good, but it was much too cheesy for me personally. Overall, I think that the chicken was very good and I would return if I wanted a nice buffalo boneless and I'm in that area. We went about an hour before closing time and the place was quite empty and very few employees. They were friendly, but very slow. We ordered several meals and two beers. They had decent draft options. The beer took a very long time due to the lack of staff, but we eventually got it. The food came out piping hot and was pretty good. A lot of their sauces were running low or out, but I imagine they are better stocked normally. It did take a while before we were able to eat the food since it was so hot, which my husband and I didn't mind as we drank our beers, but it was tough getting the kids to wait haha. The sweet potato waffle fries were probably some of the best I've ever had. My spicy Kenny the jet chicken sandwich with jalapeno slaw and fried pickles was really good, it did have a bite, but not too bad. We had someone come out from the kitchen and asked how we liked the food. Interestingly though, we were there for about an hour enjoying our meal and no one else ever came in, but all the other restaurants seemed pretty busy. The only time we have been to Big Chicken was on a cruise ship and we wanted to check out a standalone location. The staff was very helpful and the menu offered a decent variety of options for a chicken place. I liked the sauce bar and the way it allowed you to try a number of different flavors similar to a traditional BBQ joint. The sandwiches were all very good and the chicken was cooked perfectly without too much grease. The dining area wasn't huge, but the location was great on the main strip and there were plenty of televisions to watch sports. The flavor of the food surprised us all and we were pleasantly surprised as it was much fresher than our prior experience on the cruise.
