My husband is obsessed with this place and I just tried it with him today. He of course likes spicy and I don't. He gets the medium and loves it, says the hot is ok but the heat is almost too much that it's not enjoyable to eat. I got a no spice and lite spice slider and I really loved the no spice and would get it again. The lord spice is spicy to mean and leaves the heat afterwards. Mac and cheese was also good. I love their "no spice" chicken tenders. I like them smeared With actual honey. (They'll give you packets of honey if you ask) The Dave's sauce is also really good but I like the honey even better. It's not fancy (it's fried chicken) but it's the best fast food fried chicken I've ever had. It reminds me of home cooked. Juicy. Delicious. Made with love. I'm not a fan of spice but every once in awhile I'll get the mild spice version. It's got a bit of kick but not enough to hurt me. When you're in the mood for fast food, but want something that tastes way better than most fast food, go to Dave's Hot Chicken. Also the employees in Howell are awesome every time I go. read more

Chicken was bland without having add the hot sprinkle on it and that still was nothing special. Side were mediocre and overall over priced for what you get. Very disappointed as was hoping for something better than KFC as an option around here. read more

Went drive thru just to check it out.. Ordered a hot slider and diet coke, ended up with a tender on a piece of toast with 2 pickle chips, which was probably a mixup on their end. I believe it totalled around $9 or $10. The tender itself was fine, nothing terrible or great. I know the place just opened and they probably have some learning pains, but nothing about the experience was good. read more

PHENOMENAL. Just stopped in today and the food was extremely good and prepared very quickly! I got extra mild tenders. A mild slider, fries, and a vanilla shake. I was really happy when I drove by and there was a line of cars waiting, so I decided to stop and order. The line went by fast and the menu was easy to follow. However, I should have ordered the lite or no batter the mild was to spicy for me and I ended up scraping half of the batter off. We went for dinner on Saturday after Grand Opening and the place was pretty packed. Service very was good and we were able to get a table. Self serve for your drinks and wait for your number to be called. It is a bit loud so it can be hard to hear your number as they don't always use the mic. Food was prepared and packed correctly, hot, fresh and juicy. I had the two sliders, wife and son had tenders. I did not care for the kale slaw at all and removed it. The tender meal is a better deal as the pieces are larger for less$$ and no slaw. My son and I had the mild which was much hotter than any mild I have ever had. They either messed up or their mild is hot (can't imagine what hot is like). My son could not finish his as it was too hot. My wife had no spice and she really liked it and shared her 2nd piece with my son. Crinkle fries are seasoned and you get 5 pickles. We will try again but with lower spice level. read more

Decent food, under spiced compared to other Dave's in Michigan. Very slow service, workers do not seem to have a sense of urgency to provide a "So good!" Experience for their customers. No energy or movement from the kitchen. which might explain the slow service and 30 minutes for an order. It says maximum occupancy of 86 but there was a total of 5 other people and 2 cars that went through the drive through by the time I ordered and yet I still waited for 30 minutes for mediocre chicken from a lack luster staff of 10 people who did not provide a Dave's quality experience. read more

Dave's got chicken is absolutely amazing!! They are definitely spicy so make sure you can handle some spice. I would recommend eating In the store for the best quality of food but even with drive through the only downside was the fries went crispy but the flavor in the food makes up for everything!!! read more

The chicken is nice, thick chicken breast tenders. We tried no spice, lite spice and hot. They just tasted like they had too much taco seasoning on them. We weren't impressed. It's pretty expensive compared to other fast food chicken places. I can be just as underwhelmed by the food at the KFC across the street. read more

Must say I had pretty high expectations as I've been waiting for this place to open for months! Ive tried the "other" chicken sandwiches and let me say this is by FAR the best one yet. I love spicy food and got mild and for me it wasn't hot enough. Other than that the kale slaw was amazing, fries amazing and the chicken amazing. Portions are HUGE! Worth every penny. read more

Ate here for the first time, I know this place is new and everyone's there, but if you got time to wait in line for a minute you definitely will not regret it! Very happy they chose Howell as their newest location!! Good food and very friendly staff, lines are long but worth the wait. Was very impressed when the manager came outside to tell us there was no wait inside and sure enough I had my order in 5 minutes. My new favorite. read more
