    It's been a little while since my BF and I have been here and we enjoyed our dinner. We went on a Thursday early evening and the place wasn't too crowded, although we waited to be seated for a good 7-8 minutes with no hostess. Finally a server came by and then we opted to sit in the bar area, at a table. Christine, our server was great. We have had her as a server before and she's always friendly and attentive. We like sitting in the bar area, especially if there is a game we want to watch on since they have TV's. It's never too busy when we have sat there. My BF had the St. Louis Rib + Meat Combo. He had the Beef Brisket with Mashed Potatoes and Beans. He said his food was great. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon which I liked. The portion of salmon seemed on the smaller side but it was perfect for my hunger level. I got it with Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes which were also good. We especially like the Corn Bread Muffins, they are so delicious. The place has fun decor, separate take out entrance and lots of easy parking.

    Ok, fellow Yelpers, go ahead and roast me (no pun intended) for this, but this was only my second time trying out Famous Dave's. Kyle wanted BBQ and I suggested this place to him. There are two separate entrances here - one for takeout and one for dine in. We chose takeout and ordered through DoorDash. It was difficult to choose just one food item because they all looked so delicious, but I decided on the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich with pickles inside and jalapeño mac and cheese on the side. Kyle ordered the Devil's Spit Burger with potato fries on the side. In addition, he also ordered two small muffins (one each for the both of us). It did take a while for our order to be ready, which took about 5-10 minutes, but it was totally worth the wait. The BBQ pulled chicken sandwich was excellent and both the BBQ and cheese made it extra flavorful. The jalapeño mac and cheese was a little on the spicy side, with the spice bursting in my mouth with every bite, but it was still very good. Kyle said that the Devil's Spit Burger was excellent. I had to put it together a bit to get a good picture of it lol. If you know that feel when you haven't had anything sweet or sugary in such a long time, you will understand my reaction to their muffins. I tried one of them and it was WAY too sweet for my taste. It tasted like it was packed with sugar. Like, the main ingredient inside was sugar. I only took one bite before immediately telling Kyle, this is insanely sweet, go ahead and have mine. Otherwise, this is a 5 star review because everything here was REALLY good. I would like to come back again!

    Our server, Lori, was exceptional. She was busy yet we had our food order taken and delivered to our table in less than 10 minutes, probably 5 minutes or less. We had the feast for-2. Lori mentioned it was our day, Tuesday it's $40 not $50. Brisket was terrific, BBQ chicken and ribs over the top in goodness. That corn muffin was delicious! Soft, moist, flavorful! Too much for us to eat it all. Dinner!! The place was clean and welcoming. Laughter and good times were the best to hear today. FRIED PICKLES, a must have.

    Famous Dave's, you keep us coming back for those cornbread muffins. Every year I'm in Nevada, I order dozens from you. Especially for the holidays. Never fails, they are a hit. First time visiting this location on Blue Diamond. The restaurant looked bigger inside than I thought. I appreciate the location counter for pick up orders. Made things go smoothly. I arrived earlier than my said pick up time & you were able to accommodate me & fast too... Nice sized bar too! Since arriving earlier than expected, we ended up dining here. Ordered the Famous Feast. The Famous Feast for 2, was perfect for the 3 of us. Tasted good & good portion too. The chicken had some flavor & juicy, not dry. St. Louis Style Spare Ribs were good & the Brisket was good too... We liked the Famous Fries, Wilbur Beans & the Corn. Would definitely get those sides again. Loretta was our server this evening. Thank you for being an awesome, attentive & funny gal. Keep it up Loretta! Hope to see you again soon!

    I ordered a half-rack rib plate with Mac and cheese; the Mac had corn and something spicy ( I guess Jalapeno) mixed in. I also had mashed potatoes, cornbread, bread pudding cake, and vanilla ice cream for dessert. The highlight of my meal was the ribs and cornbread. I expected the ribs to be bigger as they were skinny. However, they were tender and juicy! The cornbread was official, sweet, and tasty, too! Everything else I ordered was okay; I ate everything, but I wouldn't have missed anything if I had only ribs and cornbread. I highly recommend preordering your meal because I ordered at the register, and it took a while to get my food. The cost of my food came out to slightly over 34.00. I liked the ribs enough to return, and if I ordered sides, I would have to try all new sides and dessert because the ribs and cornbread were the only standouts.

    Best Service I've Ever Had at Famous Dave's - All Thanks to Loretta S.! I've been coming to this Famous Dave's BBQ location for years -- seriously, I've probably been here hundreds of times. Usually, I sit at the bar, but the only downside has always been that there's not a full-time bartender consistently stationed there. So even though I'm technically "sitting at the bar," I'm often there solo, with limited interaction. Today, I decided to switch things up and sit in the dining area... and wow, I'm so glad I did. That's when I had the pleasure of meeting Loretta S., and let me tell you -- she is an absolute gem. Loretta was unbelievably warm, friendly, and attentive. She immediately made me feel at home with her energy. You know when someone just lights up a room without even trying? That's her. She made my visit not just a meal, but an experience. I was originally going to order one of the lunch specials, but during our casual conversation, I mentioned that I had work the next day. Loretta thoughtfully suggested going with a regular dinner entrée instead -- just a few dollars more -- because it would leave me with leftovers for tomorrow. Honestly, it was such a simple, kind, and smart suggestion. Sure, it could be considered an upsell, but it wasn't pushy at all -- it was practical, helpful, and exactly what I didn't know I needed. And now I have delicious BBQ waiting for me at lunch tomorrow. Win-win. She gave fantastic service throughout the meal, checked in just the right amount, and brought this calm, happy energy that made my day better. The food is consistently good here -- that's why I've kept coming back -- but this was the first time I felt compelled to leave a review. That's how great Loretta is. From now on, I'll be skipping the bar and asking for Loretta every time I come in. She turned a regular weekday meal into something memorable, and she absolutely deserves recognition for the kindness and care she shows guests.

    The overworked server was fantastic. The food was horrible! I ordered burnt ends on Texas toast. It came lukewarm & requested it to be reheated which was a mistake because I couldn't even cut the bread with a steak knife. The burnt ends were fatty & rubbery. I don't know what has changed, but it was awful.

    Update: We had an excellent meal during this visit. We ordered the Famous Feast for Two and enjoyed it a lot. The coleslaw, beans, corn on the cob, potatoes and cornbread muffins were all perfect, the chicken was excellent, the ribs were really good, and the pork was tasty. Our party also ordered the Ultimate Burger, which was ridiculously huge and very delicious. Violet provided us good service. Some football games we're on their TVs as it was a late Sunday afternoon. Overall, we had an excellent visit.

    A piece of metal. Not a foil. It doesn't even bend or cut with a knife. I almost swallowed it and felt it in my mouth.

    First time here with my wife and daughter. Wife Ordered salad, my daughter a kid Mac and cheese and myself the 2 meat + drink. Only going to speak about the manager here (I think his name is Troy). I chewed on a burnt end and a piece of metal came out of it (not a hair, not a plastic, and NOT A FOIL). It was hard and sharp metal, and I'm lucky I didn't swallow this. Picture does not do it justice. I'm the first to admit if it was a foil, but it was not. I hate making a scene so I asked my server if I can speak to the manager. Server is an angel so didn't want to bother her nor is this her problem. Manager comes and says he thinks it's a foil. I told him it's not a foil, it doesn't even bend!!! Try it? It's literally a piece of scrap metal. I told him to look at his kitchen so it won't hurt any other customers. But one thing I know, it's NOT A foil. He takes the piece of metal and comes back and says he hears what I'm saying but he explains why it's likely a foil. What an ignorant stubborn manager. I told him try to bend it if he thinks it's a foil? Of course he doesn't because we both know it's not a foil. Besides the fact, how about a sorry and believing the customer, being on our side, and acknowledging the mistake? He ended up comping my meal only ($25), not the drink, not my wife's salad, or my kids Kraft Mac and cheese. As soon as I discovered this piece of METAL, my kid and my wife stopped eating their food. We left without finishing the food but why was my food only comped? What makes it worse is that when he said he will comp my meal, he made a side comment saying "it's a good thing I didn't order other sides so it's not too expensive..." wrong time to joke around when I'm trying to express how serious this could have been. It's not about $$$ it's about the attitude. If I were the manager, I would first apologize, understand where the customer is coming from, assess the situation and acknowledge the mistake...saying something like "I'm truly sorry and we are glad your entire family is safe. This should never happen and we hope you give us another shot and this entire meal for your family is waived." Rather than disagree with me about whether it's a foil, and comping my meal only and making a comment that he's glad I didn't order too much I will not be back. This could have been an ugly situation and a trip to the hospital. Food was not good either. There's a reason why I have only been here once and it will be my last.

    Got take out from here this week, not impressed at all. Got the brisket which well as you can see by the pics was not but just slices of fat with maybe 10/ meat on the ends. Totally not brisket by any means. The corn bread ok , the jalapeño Mac n cheese not too bad had a kick to it, the potato salad great, but the main course sucked. $21 for something I couldn't eat at all and had to give to the dogs who were very happy to get it. Chances are I won't repeat here after this.

    I keep coming back, which says something in itself…read more Every Thursday they feature burgers, and they always have their signature Dandan: two 100% brisket patties quick-fried in tallow, topped with cheddar cheese and Dandan sauce on a butter-griddled brioche bun. This week they also offered two specials -- the Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions) and the Jalapeño Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions and jalapeños). The Dandan has been on my list for a while, so I finally pulled the trigger. I called around 11:30 a.m. and was promptly helped by a friendly employee. After a quick chat about which of the three was best, I went with the Jalapeño Oklahoma and a side of Brussels sprouts. I've had the sprouts before and really liked them -- they felt like a slightly healthier alternative to the usual fried sides. (Though when I arrived to pick up my order, it seemed like everyone else was happily devouring onion rings, which made me second-guess that choice.) As expected, there was a line stretching out the door. I quickly realized I was the only one actually waiting outside. Several people walked straight in, bypassed the line, and got helped right away. Turns out a group of 3-4 people had already ordered and were just hanging out inside in the AC while they waited. Lesson learned: if you've already placed your order, just walk in next time. While I waited, the staff brought out an ice-cold cup of their fresh cantaloupe juice. It's very sweet and genuinely delicious -- highly recommend. I took everything to go and ate at home, so I can't speak to temperature. The burger was big and loaded with meat and cheese -- you couldn't really see the jalapeños or onions at first, but they announced themselves with the first bite. The brisket patties cooked in tallow deliver a deep, rich beef flavor. They're a little firmer than a standard burger (as expected with brisket), so if you're someone who likes a lot of vegetables and toppings, this might not be your ideal burger. But if you're after a straight-up, beef-forward, no-frills experience, you won't be disappointed. The Brussels sprouts were excellent as always -- perfectly balanced with a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze. Let's be honest... I'll definitely be back. Next time I'm trying the classic Dandan -- and those onion rings.

Just a little kick, which was great. I always wish there was more kick, but I understand you got a cater to your customers. One thing I was kind of concerned about was the temperature of the coleslaw. It should be really cold, but it was just kind of a little bit of above lukewarm, but not really cold. Coleslaw should be cold. The mac & cheese was pretty good. Needs a little bit more liquid in it but the flavor was awesome. And it looks like they prepackage the Mac 'n cheese in containers and then sprinkle some cheese on top. That's a nice touch, but it makes the whole container of mac & cheese dry out. They only have one barbecue sauce. It was pretty good. But to me the best way to judge barbecue is if it doesn't eat barbecue sauce. And this did not need barbecue sauce. It was just a nice addition. Great ambience. Great music playing. Very clean and well kept area. I would definitely come back when I'm on this side of town.

It reminded me of a real Texas barbecue with the big picnic tables and communal seating. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had the 3 meat (chicken, baby backs, and jalapeno hot links) and the wife had the 1 meat (brisket) We shared some sides Mac n cheese, green beans, and fries. The chicken was very juicy and perfectly cooked. We both agree that the baby backs were some of the best we've ever had. The jalapeno/cheese links were delicious. The brisket was good. Still moist and juicy. They ask you if you want a lean or fatty cut on the brisket. She chose lean (I would have chosen fatty ) Their regular barbecue sauce made everything better. The green beans were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The baked beans were a tiny bit sweet. The fries were perfect. The mac and cheese had good flavor but the pasta was overcooked. Oh, I decided to try the banana pudding. GET IT! It's f*cking delicious! We will definitely be back!
