Ordering was easy, and someone came and checked on us and gave us more sauce despite it not being a waited restaurant. For the chicken, I got the two tenders spice level hot. I would describe the heat as sort of equivalent to the atomic level at wingstop. Can burn you lips after a couple bites. Thanks to Julie the customer service representative who sent me a code to try the restaurant again I was pleased with the food the second time. I didn't realize that you can get the chicken with no spice. The chicken was juicy and cooked well but I'm going to try the little spice next time because hey you need a little kick I think. I've been waiting for Dave's Hot Chicken to open and today, I FINALLY am able to eat a piece of this artistic and magnificent display of Nashville Hot Chicken! If I were to sum up this restaurant in one word, it would be "AMAZING!!!" It's so good; the chicken is moist and hot and served in a nice nest of cheese and bread with the perfect melody of spices and coleslaw. The bread feels and taste like the same awesome bread at Shake Shack! The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned on the outside while the inside is nice and hot and soft. Anyways, I can't wait until tomorrow so that I can digest my food and be ready to come back for another order!! P.S. The simple menu with only three selections is brilliant! Ate here for the first time, around 7pm on a Friday evening. Busy but didn't wait more than 5-10 mins. We each had the one slider and one strip with fries (one was cheese fries). We really liked the sliders. They are more like a full size chicken sandwich than what you would imagine a slider to be. We had medium heat which was nice and spicy but not painful spicy. We liked the sandwiches. The strips somehow don't taste as good, maybe b/c the spice rub against your tongue just doesn't taste or feel right. The strip comes with a slice of white bread but the white bread was stale. We really liked the sliders, the slaw, sauce and pickles on it - altogether really good. When traffic is heavy on Preston Rd it is time consuming and dangerous to approach from south to crossover in front of oncoming southbound traffic. Suggestion: take light at Headquarters and go left (west) on Headquarters Dr for about a block. Turn right on Belleview Dr which is road behind (west) of restaurant, continue to Towne Square and turn right which will put you very close to restaurant. This route is also good when traveling east on Headquarters Dr, no need to go out onto Preston Rd. read more

The fries were delicious and flavorful but soggy and Luke warm. The cauliflower was delicious and flavorful but too much seasoning and I am Hispanic I love seasoning, but when I tell you they Put so much seasoning on this. It's crazy as well with the chicken tender. My daughter said it was lukewarm and I live three minutes away from the place. I drove straight from when I left to my house no stopping , also ain't some of the fries on the way very good in flavor, but soggy and lukewarm the flavors are very good but they don't have to put such a thick coating of the flavor. Holy crack. The most tender juicy and crunchy chicken strips. The exterior coating is thin but some of the crunchiest I've ever had. The spice levels are out of this world. I love spicy food but the hot was definitely hot And had me pausing to compose myself between bites. I think the chicken tenders are the way to go. make a sandwich with some extra honey, pickles and bread that they give you in that box. Giving this place 4 stars for its quality and freshness. However- this was not what I expected. I think I made the mistake of thinking it was similar to Nashville Hot chicken and I was wrong. The chicken is really good, Cooked very well (and they're not stingy on the portion). The tenders that come inside the slider are huge. Me and my husband split the #2 which has two Sliders and fries. This was more than enough to split between the both of us. If you're craving Nashville Hot chicken, this is not your place. Nashville chicken has more of a vinegary sauce and more of a cayenne taste. Dave's Hot Chicken uses spices that taste almost of middle eastern cuisine. I think I tasted a little curry powder in the seasoning. The sliders come with kaleslaw and pickles. My only complaint was that there was no acidity besides the pickles to balance the sweetness from their sauce and their coleslaw. Their sauce is more mayo based. My life training eating pickled cabbage aka kimchee did not prepare me for the heavy salt ingrained in the cayenne/paparika dry rub on a crunchy chicken tender. Someone told me this was nashville style but I think I will stick with chickfila. The powdered spice was alright but the saltiness was just too much to go furthur and enjoy the flavor. The breading was not thin as I read in other reviews but more similar to a thick crunchy local grocery store breading. Not exactly a plus for me but others may like that style. Sadly will pass in the future unless psycho hunger kicks in with a benevolent payor.
