Dave's Hot Chicken is one of the best chicken sandwich places I have tried. I crave their Dave's Not Chicken Sandwich! It's as good as it looks on the commercial. Every time we go the employees are friendly. Last night Zennia was our cashier. She was so very nice, patient and helpful when I was deciding about getting a side of slaw. The kale slaw is gooood. Driven by a few times since this place opened and finally found the time to stop in. It's a great location with a patio and the inside is funky with murals and graffiti type art and fluorescent signs. The menu is very simple and you have a choice of some type of combo featuring chicken tenders (more like a chicken breast- they are huge), chicken "sliders" (again, this is more of a sandwich size) and fries. You can choose your own spice level, I went with medium and it was perfect for me. They are open quite late and the playlist they had going was really good. I can see why it attracts college aged guys most of the time. It's practically the new Carl's Jr. Staff was also pretty friendly...My only quip is they are not even slightly eco friendly. The staff gives you plastic straws, cups and lids (they just give them to you even if you didn't ask for them), styrofoam containers, plastic utensils and a boatload of napkins you may never use. read more

Nashville hot chicken! The interior is super clean and decor/wall art is awesome. The food is on point. I typically can't do super hot so my level of heat here is mild and medium. I like they allow you to mix it up and get two levels of heat. The staff is super accommodating and do a nice job keeping the place clean. I ordered my lunch at 11:06 on a lazy Friday. I was the only one inside. I ordered a number three, extra hot, and sat down at my table which appeared clean. However, the table was very sticky, but I made it work. Here's where the big downside showed up on this day, and it might be an anomaly. It took almost 20 minutes to get my food. There was no explanation as to how long it would be or an apology for how long it took, so I didn't know what to think other than, "this took forever ". This was my first time eating here, so I was excited to dig into the meal that actually looked pretty good. The extra hot was, in fact, extra hot, no false advertising here. Chicken was good and the bread was delicious. One other mild frustration was the fact there was only one place to get napkins in the entire place and nowhere to get utensils or extra condiments, without waiting in line. I would eat here again. First of all, I have to say that the food here is very good. We've ordered the no spice and the mild spice chicken, and it doesn't disappoint. However, we tried the macaroni and cheese and kaleslaw sides for the first time. They are over four dollars each and for an 8 ounce container, they barely fill it halfway. I talked to the manager about it and they said that they are only supposed to put 8 ounces in the cups. But I believe the cups are 8 ounces(1/2 pint) so therefore they should be filled all the way. I think they are mistaking the fact that 8 ounces in volume is different than 8 ounces in weight. I've ordered kid's meals with more food than what I was given. I am very disappointed that a place that I was initially excited about would kind of cheat you on the sides. I think Dave's could do better. read more

Wow...salty... way over seasoned... it's just too much to eat as it is like dumping a dry spice rub straight out of the jar into your mouth... I couldn't finish it as it was not good and both my kids didn't finish it either. Expensive and not worth the hype...fries were great... read more
