I love a response two years later. According to what records did i wait 15 minutes? You keep a record of how long people wait? You have some issue? I was there for AN HOUR. And if that was the only time i waited it might have been different. And I always called before I left the house to make sure you weren't behind and was NEVER seen on time. As far as the crown? It had a flat top with a small dent in the middle. nothing resembling a real tooth. Sorry I use Yelp to complain about bad service, i guess that makes you less guilty then! I am glad i came to Dr Abri's dental office (found them through my insurance). The best dental place i've ever been. Their work ethic is just simply amazing. Dr Abri and his associates are all great. They explained to me well my treatment plan and why i needed it. They also showed me how my insurance works. And with reasonable and affordable fees for treatments that were not covered by my insurance. Very gentle. First time in my life that i didn't feel the shot. And my crowns looks so natural. I got my veneers don't here at this location by Dr. Abri. He sent me to his own private "tooth artist" first, who took pictures and molds. Then hand sketched my teeth right there in front of me. A few days later I came in and everything was ready to go. I have really bad dentist anxieties and Dr. Abri always makes me feel so comfortable. Like a friend. Anyways this is a problem I've had since I was a girl and now everything is fixed and looks soooooo amazing and natural. I cannot say enough about what a great experience I had at the La Cienega location with Dr. Danielle Akry and Dr. Samar Hubbi, and the ENTIRE staff of this practice - Cheri, Caroline and Randy. I finally went to this Dentist after a 20+ years of avoiding dental work due to a traumatic root canal experience 20 years ago. Here, I received not only the best of care there with my deep cleaning which was an ordeal after 20 years of plaque build up with Dr. Akry, but also my root canal with Dr. Hubbi, whose precision and lightning speed was a game changer for me about dentists and left me PAIN FREE! Whaaaaaaat? I couldn't believe I just had a root canal!!! And the perfect temporary crown that Caroline made was just the cherry on top. I'm actually looking forward to returning for my permanent crown and seeing them again. The entire staff was not only outstanding at their jobs, but also incredibly compassionate and reassuring as I had a few anxiety/panic attacks about the procedures I would be undergoing. They are also really fun, which I do not associate with a visit to the dental office at all. Dr. Akry can't be commended enough for the professional, kind, wonderful and charming way she handled me. I wish more health care providers could follow their sterling example of how to deliver compassionate and professional CARE and not just robotically treat us like test subjects in a lab. First time i was here was with my sister who wanted implant consultation, instead she got a complete exam and Dr. Abri was very helpful with answering my sister's questions. I found Dr. Abri after I switched dental insurance and needed to find a new dentist. I chose him after doing research and finding he had many positive reviews, is a USC graduate, and has a good record (no sanctions, malpractice, or board actions). The office is in an upscale building with easy metered parking out front. The office and patient rooms are clean, and from what I can tell, they adhere to strict sanitary standards by opening the sealed bag of equipment in front of me in the room, and changing their sterile gloves every time they leave and come back. The staff is friendly and easy-going and I did not have to wait long to be seen. Dr. Abri's manner is very friendly, calm, and gentle. He took time to speak with me about my concerns and make me comfortable with the procedures, which was greatly appreciated since I get really nervous and have a low pain threshold. His exam was thorough and he told me what treatments he recommended versus what was necessary. He did not pressure me into doing anything that wasn't necessary, unlike my last dentist who wanted me to do a lot more work that Dr. Abri said wasn't imperative. And his prices, for a Beverly Hills office, are reasonable. Overall, I am happy to have found such a great dentist and I highly recommend him! read more

I have lost faith in Dentists in Beverly Hills. I thought Dr. Abri would be an exception based on his prior reviews on Yelp, however, I was let down. First let me state that my mother has been a dental hygenist for 20+ years and therefore I always get truthful assessments about my teeth for her. Well Dr. Abri suggested I have "pre" cavities treated. Supposedly according to him these are grooves in your teeth that may form a cavity. Well if you ask most honest dentists, there is no such thing as a "Pre Cavity". Next this office pushes cosmetics soo much. My wife wanted an orthodontist referral since our insurance only costs $1800 for 2 and a half years of braces. Well Dr. Abri tried to convince her that braces wouldnt work for her and she should instead use invisalign and veneers for a total of $30,000 out of pocket!!! We insisted instead on getting an orthodontist referrel, the staff told us they dont know any orthodontist who cover our HMO. We said then look one up, I mean how hard can it be. Well Dr. Abri cannot imagine sending business to someone else so 5+ months later and a call directly from a representative at my HMO insisted he give a referral and what do we have? Still nothing from Dr. Abri. Please save you time and do not go to this dentist. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Abri's for over two years now. Being a physician myself, I took time to search out a dentist who was excellent at his craft, as well as caring and charismatic. Dr. Abri met all of my criteria. He is an phenomenal physician, with great technique. I have had significant dental problems my whole life, requiring multiple procedures over the years and have very sensitive teeth. I have often avoided dentists because of the pain, time and money associated with each visit. Dr. Abri took the time to explain what needed to be done, and was very gentle. He did excellent work, particularly with my full and partial crowns. I can't tell which teeth are real and which ones are crowns! His offices are top notch, very clean; it feels like you are in a spa! His staff is super friendly and helpful. Anna helps explain the billing and always reminds me about my appointments! I thought everything was fine with this dentist until I switched dentists. Dr. Abri and the staff were nice enough but every time I went in for an appointment, they found something wrong. I had multiple cavities filled, two crowns, a mouth guard made and they recommended an additional crown for a cracked tooth. I decided to wait on this crown. They stopped taking my insurance so I switched dentists and am so glad I did. I have been with my new dentist for 1 1/2 years now and I've never had a problem, no cavities or anything. This new dentist didn't even see the "cracked tooth" that supposedly needed a crown. I know now that I was spending lots of money and going through uncomfortable procedures that most likely, did not need to be done. I'd look elsewhere. read more

Okay.... so I was debating whether or not to write a review. Not because it would be a negative review but because you want to keep a gem you find all to yourself. So I had to find a new dentist ever since my old one retired. I went to a couple of different ones, but I really wish I hadn't. I made an appointment based on a recommendation from a coworker who has been a client of Dr. Abri for a while. Another doctor I went to wanted to yank my tooth out saying it could not be saved. Dr. Abri took his time and shaved it off a bit but saved my tooth. While I was there I also had my teeth whitened. I can actually smile and it's as If have never drank coffee in 10 years! The staff is also very pleasant and if I have to say a negative about the place It would only be that it is located in a very transit area. Meaning there is traffic going there, but it's very much worth it. If your reading this review, it must mean your trying to find a new dentist. Take the plunge and dive in. This staff apparently doesnt understand billing. For 3 years I have requested Itemized billing and for 3 years they send notices with only an amount. I also continued to have issues with my teeth after being a patient here.
