I came across David's Bagels in the Nextdoor app at the beginning of this pandemic (around early April) and am so happy that I reached out to him. I've been placing my weekly orders ever since then via text message (can usually get my orders next day or the day after depending on how early I place my order) and have not had any problems.. or maybe one but that's my fault, I forgot to leave my payment at the door for him. He dropped off the bagels anyways and came back later for it, "no problem" he says. He's a great guy, super responsive, communicates well and best of all, his bagels are amazing! Our favorites are the garlic and onion ones. Ham and cheese croissants are delicious too and are insanely large! He's really been a lifesaver during this crazy time, his deliveries have saved me from so many trips to the grocery store. And to be honest, even without the pandemic I'd still be ordering through David. Anyone from the Bay Area who are looking for fresh bagels/pastries should do so too, it really is a no-brainer! read more

If you want to pay almost $7 for a plain bagel and cream cheese come here! Oh and if you want your bagel cut in half( which is standard everywhere and don't tell me it isn't) you'll have to tell them to do that " extra" step as well . So a $7 dollar regular bagel doesn't get cut in half nowadays? Minimal effort with high prices. Bagel was good. Nothing special. I'll be going elsewhere for almost half the price. There's plenty of good coffee shops along Pacifica n the coast for less. They need to add some $$$$ he $ symbol. And I was just checking the other reviews and the comments from the owner. Breakfast, solved! What a find! I only wish I found David sooner.... like many transplants to the Bay Area, desperate to find the bagels I grew up with - boiled, not steamed - he had the answer... and they were perfect. Not only were the bagels delicious, I couldn't resist ordering a small selection of pastries as well. The sticky buns with pecans do not disappoint. And honestly, to top off all of this, he delivers. How much better can breakfast get? It's hard to find a good bagel in the bay area, so when I found David's Bagels on Yelp I thought I'd give him a try. He was very friendly on the phone, and worked around my schedule to deliver at a time that worked for me. The bagels were tasty. Even better, when I got to talking to David about a special challah that I remembered from my childhood (with sprinkles!) I found out he would be able to make it for me for Rosh Hashanah as long as I gave him adequate warning! I can't wait to try it out. I recently ordered from David's Bagels for the first time when I needed food for a breakfast meeting at work. The process was so easy and convenient! David took my order over the phone. 2 days later, I had fresh bagels, cream cheese, croissants and pastries delivered to my front door. Holy bagel and pastry heaven. Not only was the delivery a nice touch, but everything was delicious. David provides you with the option of a "lesser favorite of steamed bagel" but also a traditional NY style boiled bagel. Something that you can't really find here on the coast. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE I known David for the last 20 yrs and he is one of few that really care's about his customer in delivering TOP Quality Baked Goods. My sister told me about David's Bagels, hadn't tried, but heard good things, so we tried him out for a last minute morning meeting and ordered mini bagels and assorted pastries. David was super helpful in accommodating us on less than 24 hours notice! He was also really great about coordinating schedules since I wasn't sure where I would be when he was ready to deliver. Everything was really great - the muffins are AMAZING, by the way, and the bagels and pastries were really good, total hit at the meeting (as were the leftovers we brought home). The only downside, if you can call it that, is when we ordered minis of everything, only the bagels were the size we expected, and everything else was a bit larger than we wanted. Not his fault, since we didn't specify what I thought a mini was, but all around really great product, great service, and we will definitely order from him again in the future. read more

Not only are the bagels awesome, but the pastries too. I got the smorgasbord..muffins, croissants, scones, the works. It was so good! They were the hit of the baby shower and they were delivered. I originally contacted David via email to see if he made Bialy's (the hubsand's favorite) and sure enough he did. This week we had two dozen MORE delivered and they were quite good, husband is very pleased. We've had the bagels and while we both prefer baked over boiled they are worthy of repeat ordering. We just noticed his business has schmears and will be adding those to our next order. Be sure to order in advance. I met David in a playground in Pacifica when we were both pushing our kids on the swings. He told me he had a bagel business that delivered to the coastal areas and immediately I knew I had struck gold! He is a super nice guy and responds very quickly whenever I contact him by phone. He told me he delivers to businesses from Pacifica to HMB and also offered to deliver to my house in Pacifica - WOW!!! I love his bakery's kind of bagels; the ones that are boiled (although they offer baked too), a little crunch on the outside and soft inside. He has a huge variety of flavors and has always delivered exactly what I ordered. I would usually have to drive all the way to House of Bagels in the Richmond to get bagels this good. Now I text David, he or his super nice delivery guy delivers to my door first thing in the morning! He is flexible and works around my timing, cuts the bagels in half, and provides any variety of cream cheese and lox if I want to add to my order! It comes with a printed invoice and I pay at delivery. The price is really reasonable, especially considering it shows up at my door. I called David's from Chicago to order assorted bagels, croissants, bear claws, chocolate croissants, Hamentaschen and gluten free chocolate chip cookies for a wedding brunch. Everything was spot-on perfect. David gave me advice on portions, called before delivery, and brought everything to the brunch exactly on time. AND his baked goods were of exceptional beauty and freshness. The bagels were moist and chewy, the croissants were rich and delicately crisp, and the gluten-free cookies were so good that the non-celiac people stole them and gave them rave reviews. That said, I want to pay special homage to David's bear claws: I ate three of them before anyone could stop me. They were composed of rich danish pastry wrapped around a moist almond filling, generously sprinkled with sliced almonds, and sealed in a crisp transparent sugar glaze.
