This past Friday I had an appointment with Megan at 1:30pm for a bridal fitting and a bridesmaid fitting at 3pm. It was the first time I was trying on dresses so I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for, both for myself and for my bridesmaids. Megan was patient with me and pulled anything and everything I might like. Finally I found one that I fell In love with but, like I said, it was my first time trying on so we decided to wait. Megan was never once tried to push me to buy that day. The next day we went to another shop and had a terrible experience, plus I was still thinking about the dress I had tried on the day before at David's. I had all my bridesmaids with me Saturday so I asked them if they would be willing to go back to David's Bridal with me on Sunday. We make an appointment at 7pm on Saturday night for Sunday morning at 11am. This time we started with the bridesmaids. Destiny was phenomenal! Each one of my 6 bridesmaids has a different body type so finding a dress to fit each one was tricky. Destiny pulled anything and everything without hesitation. She gave her professional input when I asked. We finally found one everyone liked and was comfortable in so the girls purchased their dresses. At 1pm we had another bridal fitting with Megan again for myself. I pulled some dresses that I thought I would like that were comparable to the initial one I liked on Friday. (we had an hour between bridesmaids appointment and bridal appointment so I browsed around myself) I also found one other one I liked that was very different from the others. Long story short, I tried the gown that wasn't like the others, after trying on all the others, and fell in love! Megan and some of the other consultants, including the manager Sarah, helped accessorize the dress with a belt, veil, and hair piece. I felt like a princess! But I still wanted to try the dress from Friday on just to make sure it wasn't the one. So I got out of my dream gown and tried on the one from Friday and instantly I knew it wasn't the one. So Megan put me back in my dream gown and accessorized me again and I SAID YES to the dress! But there was a problem...the original dress was lace so I had the bridesmaids get dresses with lace. This didn't look good with the dress I said YES to. So, Destiny came back over and her, Megan, and Sarah all worked together to find the bridesmaids another dress. They found the perfect one and seamlessly exchanged the old dresses for the new ones. Everyone had a dress now! But then my mom decided, after everyone was done and we thought we were leaving, she wanted to try on dresses for her. So we all walked back onto the sales floor and looked at dresses for my mom. We didn't have an appointment but we let Sarah know what we were doing. Destiny's appointments never showed so she stopped to check and see how we were doing. She ended up helping us AGAIN find a great dress for my mom and we didn't even have an appointment! I can not say enough about this store. I am a manager in a luxury brand retail store and I would love to have any one of these sales associates on my team! I HIGHLY recommend! read more

I am so happy we stopped at David's Bridal when looking for my wedding dress! In total, I went for two appointments - Including my first wedding appointment ever. Megan was my consultant and immediately got on board with being my first experience, was understanding that I was sorting through what silhouettes I liked on me and was phenomenal about gauging my reaction to each dress and used that information to pick the next dress I tried on. Even though she knew my first appointment wasn't going to lead to an immediate purchase, she really worked hard to find dresses that fit me and what I envisioned the wedding being like. I never once felt pressured and always felt heard. I think this allowed her to make really beautiful amped up combinations complete with belts and veils, all of which were really unique and nailed some components of my vision. When we found a couple options I really liked, she took detailed notes on all the items I preferred and was ready to pull all these items again when we returned a couple weeks later with more family. When we returned with my family, she was extremely flexible and took us nearly an hour earlier than our original appointment time. I was shocked with how many details she remembered for our first appointment three weeks before and we quickly showed my family the options from our first appointment. Between the two appointments, my budget ceiling was raised, so she was happy to show me a couple more options and we settled on a dress that made it into my top three options for my wedding. While the majority of my time was with Megan, I did get to work with a number of other employees and observe them working with other brides as well - They all demonstrated a positive and eager to please attitude, an ability to listen and help all the brides I saw shopping. I had a wonderful experience at David's Bridal in Hagerstown!!! I had originally ordered a dress at a nearby privately owned bridal shop. However, my experience there was so terrible that I wasn't even looking forward to my wedding anymore. The way I was treated made me hate my body and hate my dress. Once I decided that I should cancel my original dress order, I decided to go to David's Bridal. It was the best decision that I could have made. Immediately upon entering the store, I was greeted by the manager and a consultant. They attentively listened to my horror story about my experience with the original dress. After explaining my situation, Consultant Victoria walked me through the store and helped me select some dresses. Because I had a small window of time, she quickly got me set up in a fitting room, and she got me in 15 dresses in less than an hour! Victoria was supportive and understanding, and she really made the experience a special one. When I returned to the store the next day, we tried on a few more dresses, but I settled on a dress that Victoria had pulled for me the previous day. She listened to my explanation of my upcoming wedding and my style preferences, and she selected the perfect dress for me! She helped find a hair comb and veil to complete the look, and she never pressured me to choose a specific style or dress. She truly made me feel important and special, and I felt beautiful in my wedding gown. Additionally, everyone at the store was helpful in working with my short, 2 month time frame. They helped order a dress that will arrive in time to be altered for my wedding, and they also helped find the veil I wanted from another store. I cannot wait to go back and work with them for my fittings and alterations, and I cannot wait to wear my wedding gown on my special day. read more

I absolutely had the best experience today finding what I needed for my youngest sons wedding in one month. Deborah G. was very helpful & accommodating. Very friendly and gave terrific advice as well as options if I just couldn't find what I was looking for. I did not have an appointment & received the best treatment from everyone. I actually bought two dresses instead of one for the wedding because they were so pretty & fit so well, honestly, I can't get over the prices. All in all a wonderful experience and would have no hesitation to recommend the ladies at this shop/location. I do not understand all of the negative reviews, I'm sure it happens with any establishment. Yet I was also in the same store when my future daughter had her alterations & noticed how efficient & on top of every aspect of business the staff was, from pricing & what was in stock to even knowledge of ordering online, color variations etc. Right off the top of their head! That was a very busy day to say the least, in store!!! The ladies kept it together, knew what was what & my future daughter is happy as ever! The vibe that day was full of happiness from everyone, shoppers as well as staff, which was elbow to elbow. I'm sorry for some people who had an unpleasant experience, I don't know why they did, but, I can tell you in all honesty, (& I hate shopping, that's putting it mildly), but I really & truly enjoyed my visit to this shop. I went to David's Bridal today with my daughter looking at wedding dresses. My sister and her daughter came along to look for dresses for the wedding also. We were told to sign in and then the girl just walked away without saying anything else to us. We stood their for 15mins or more than finally started looking at wedding dresses. We found 3 that my daughter liked so I was holding them when a women walked over and said " did someone tell you that you could take those dresses off the rack". I said "no we haven't been helped by anyone yet so we were just looking and like these". She yanks them out of my hands and puts them on a rack and says "we don't allow people to hold the dresses, they could get damaged". My daughter and I both apologized and said we didn't know. She said just don't touch anymore of them and walked away. I have never been so humiliated and embarrassed in my life. Finally when the bridal consultant came over to us. My sister and her daughter were told they could not try the dresses on that they had picked out. They didn't want help from the people that worked their, they just wanted a dressing room. Other girls were walking in their picking up homecoming dresses and going into dressing rooms but because my sister and her daughter come us a bride it was an issue. I thought being a bridal store, you would be more helpful to brides instead on making them or their mother who was going to hand over several thousand dollors for a dress mad. So in short we didn't buy a dress even though 3 looked really nice on my daughter and we have no plans of buying the wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses or mine from their either. read more

Special thanks to Megan, who was a gem, and made our experience so wonderful! I went with my daughter to the Hagerstown, MD store. She had an appointment to look at and try on wedding dresses. We arrived a few minutes early and Megan was ready and waiting. Megan asked questions to give her an idea of what my daughter had in mind - price, style, wedding venue, etc. Megan then walked us to dresses on the racks and quickly presented a number of dresses that matched my daughter's description. It was evident that Megan is very knowledgeable about styles and designers, and the selections at David's Bridal . She pulled a few dresses and my daughter began to try them on in a fitting room reserved for her. When my daughter was done with those dresses, Megan pulled additional dresses - there were several rounds of try-ons. Amazingly, Megan memorized each of the dresses that she initially discussed with us (!), and efficiently got them from the racks. She also provided helpful information about how each dress should fit, what alterations (if any) could be made, matching accessories, etc., and patiently answered our many questions and concerns. We went to David's Bridal not knowing what to expect. As it turns out, my daughter was so happy to find her perfect dress! This review would not be complete without also acknowledging the other staff at David's Bridal, each was delightful and professional. Even though it's been almost a week since my appointment with David's Bridal I just wanted to make sure I took the time since I haven't yet to thank Megan for her outstanding customer service. We arrived almost 30minutes early for my appointment as it was my very first bridal shop and very first time dress shopping. The manager advised me because I was so early that my consultant had not yet arrived however I was ok with that because it gave me some time to look around and get ideas. Megan was very attentive and open to giving suggestions as well as made me feel comfortable and wasn't judgmental about my size...which is something I was previously a little nervous about. Also I learned that appointments don't typically do bride and bridesmaid at the same time but my sister is my maid of honor and Megan made sure to accommodate the fact I had a few dresses I wanted to see her in as well. So in a nut shell Thank you so very much Megan for being an outstanding dress consultant and I look forward to seeing you again :) - note to readers, if you're looking for a bridal shop I highly suggest David's bridal in Hagerstown, Md. All the staff I met was very professional and politely mannered not one person had even the slightest negative thing about them. I had an amazing experience. At first I walked in with no appointment made, had a mini panic attack, and then was greeted by a lovely woman who held my hand and told me I'd be okay and in good hands. This same woman helped me book an appointment, suggesting another lady, Megan. Anyways, I went back after calming down and was greeted by such a fun, genuinely friendly, person - Megan. She made me feel absolutely comfortable putting dresses on and really listened to any and every concern I had in regards to what I wanted out of a wedding gown. She went out of her way to provide that "wow-factor" that you see in those dumb "Say yes to the dress" TV shows. She didn't become frustrated with me anytime she had to run back and bring up new options, and she didn't belittle me for my lack of knowledge of wedding gowns. Instead, she made me laugh, provided great options, and really let me make the decision on my own. She didn't try to persuade me either, which I really appreciated. Megan transformed my day by turning my, at first, overwhelming experience, into a fun and memorable one. Don't waste your time stressing out about the perfect dress and go have fun trying on gowns that make you feel beautiful! :^) I recommend Megan but I met plenty of women there who were friendly as well. What an amazing experience! Booking with the David's bridal in Hagerstown was the best thing I could've done. The employees energy was immaculate! I was very nervous and only brought one guest but I left feeling like I truly came with a group of the most loving and supportive friends and family. They are respectful and knowledgeable. Madelyn found the perfect dresses for me and boosted my confidence during the whole experience. She truly listened and was not about to falsely convince me of things I verbalized I didn't like. She truly wanted me to find the best dress for me and what I was expressing. Madeline and Kasey were not my stylist but they filled the room with love and support! They work so well as a team. They are not there to just make a paycheck and it shows, these girls are passionate about fashion and connecting with customers. The store manager Chardonnay is professional, personable and runs a great team and provides a welcoming environment. She respects her employees and they respect her. I had no idea Madelyn was new, she did a great job! Watching Chardonnay assist in teachable moments just had me in awe. I had a wonderful experience at this David's Bridal. The associate who helped me was more than helpful. He pulled a dress for me that I would never have chosen for myself. But he knew something I didn't. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. Because my wedding was off-season, I had a little debacle when bridesmaids paid for a dress that wouldn't be shipped until the week of my wedding (no one's fault. It's just the way production worked). When I realized what happened, the associates graciously worked with me and my bridesmaids to come to an amicable solution. And the associate I spoke to went above and beyond to ensure that I walked away happy. Additionally, I highly recommend the woman they use to do alterations. I've heard about and experienced really bad alterations and impatient seamstresses. This lady was professional and knowledgeable. And she altered my dress perfectly! I also felt like I got a beautiful dress without paying an arm and a leg and offering my first born child. I wasn't planning to go the David's Bridal route for my wedding dress, but I'm really glad I did. Also, when it comes to negative reviews, take them with a grain of salt. I love, love, LOVED Victoria W!!!!!!!! I made an appointment one saturday and went in with a couple family members. I got Tori by luck of the draw and she was fantastic! She pulled the dresses that I had favorited online (which I didn't know they could do) and also pulled some that were similar, but lower in price. Never once did I feel pressured to spend a certain amount and she never pulled any dresses over my budget, unless I specifically asked to try them on. I was able to freely express my opinion of the dresses with my family without any eyerolling or irritation from her, as I was getting at the "fancy" boutiques. She just took my comments and narrowed it down closer. I went back the following weekend with the grooms family, tried on a few more and finally found THE dress. I specifically made that appointment with her, because I just adored her personality. That was the only store that I actually had FUN dress shopping in!!! The store selection and the process was outstanding in itself, as they had every dress I wanted to try on, in my size!!!! Words cannot express how grateful I am to Chardonnay for helping me find the most perfect wedding dress for my October nuptials! A month ago I found what I thought was the perfect dress but time revealed that it was not the dress of my dreams. I went back to David Bridal's a bit embarrassed and anxious at the situation. I understood that the options would be limited and I could very well be walking out without a dress. Chardonnay was so kind and reassured me that she would do her best to help me find the perfect dress. A few dresses later I tried on ine that she accidentally pulled for me and it turned out to be the perfect dress! I knew immediately it was the one! It was absolutely stunning but a little tight, Suet (the alterations expert), was nice enough to come over and give her opinion & realistic timelines for any adjustments. My time with David's Bridal has been amazing so far! A few months ago, I ordered my gown (that part was a little rocky since they didn't have any of the ones I loved from looking online), however they still managed to help me find a great dress that I truly fell in love with. :) Today, I went for my bridesmaid appointment and I would very highly recommend Megan! It was an absolute pleasure working with her and she honestly made this experience very fun. She worked with me every step of the way and always managed to make sure that every girl got to try on a dress in their size. She helped me find multiple dresses for my girls to try on and she was very respectful of my budget as well. Did I mention how much fun she was?! Literally, I think we could be best friends! After the bridesmaid appointment was over, she still continued to help me (since my wedding dress was in) and she even helped show my maid of honor how to tie my corset back and help me with my dress on my wedding day. Upon arriving at Davids Bridal I was set up with Megan to help me find a dress and was a little nervous as I'm not big into dresses and knew it was going to be hard finding something that I felt comfortable in. I came in with a lower budget (because of wanting to do a trash the dress afterwords) and Megan guided me to the area where I could find dresses in my budget. She even helped me pick out some dresses that I really liked as well. She was the nicest person I have ever met and was so kind and helpful with everything! I thought upon going in, that it would be a mad house and exhausting, but it was the complete opposite! She was AMAZING! I really must leave a review of my experience at this specific David's bridal yesterday! I am a bride to be that is actually from Ireland here visiting my fiancé and his family, I was very nervous about going to try on wedding dresses especially without my own mother by my side but I thankfully had an absolutely WONDERFUL stylist named Dalton, I cannot emphasize enough what a professional he was, He made me feel so comfortable and like I had another friend there supporting me along with my mother and grandmother in law. He really is a star and I can see him being sought after by brides everywhere. He was so polite and new exactly what to do to get me in the right direction for my dress search. Diane was also in and out of the consultation with nothing but kind words to say about the dresses I had on. I had the honor and privilege to have Megan B as my consultant. She was so knowledgeable about EVERYTHING! She knew my budget and did everything she could to find the right dresses to try on. I'm so indecisive, but she kept me focused on what I liked and disliked which eventually led me to find my dream dress! I'm beyond happy and grateful for the amazing David's bridal team. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful my experience with Davids Bridal was. My consultant Sara was quick, patient and had a great eye for what would look good on me. Even when I left the store unsure and assured me that any choice I made was okay with her, she wasn't pushy at all. When I came back later that day she had just finished helping two brides a once but still had a smile on her face and was happy to see us again. After all that she did for us I made it a point to tell Sara's boss how great I thought she was. Seriously A++, I am shocked and grateful. I should also add that I am a plus size bride and have a hard time loving how I look in dresses or the experience of trying them on but it was perfect here. Call and ask for Sara! I had a great experience with david's Bridal and I just had to share. I went to The Barn previously and found two dresses there I absolutely loved but the price was outrageous! I showed my pictures to my consultant Laura and she immediately picked two gorgeous dresses very similar to the ones I loved at The Barn for half the price! She definitely had a good knowledge of your products, she was able to match these dresses perfectly and they are much more in my budget. She was very sweet to my daughter and we had a wonderful time. We didn't feel rushed or pressured into buying. We left in a great mood because of how fun the experience was thanks to Laura. I scheduled an wedding dress appointment for less than 24 hours in advance and had no trouble with their online booking system. When my MOH and I arrived, the greeter immediately welcomed us and helped check in. Chardonnay was our consultant and was fantastic. She listened to my budget and my ideas for what I'd need in a dress and want as well. In under an hour, Chardonnay brought me multiple dresses which met some or all of my requirements, and were conscious of my budget - and we found my wedding dress! Even though there was a walk in appointment assigned to her, she assisted us both calmly and exhibited excellent customer service. It was such a wonderful experience that I'm bringing my MOH back to get her dress as well. read more
