We waited for 35 minutes while the two table around us were served. No servers ever came to our table while waiters and skinny blonde hostess with major attitude messed around at the hostess stand. We ended up leaving. We tried to go back about a month later....still TERRIBLE service. We waited for a table for over 20 minutes, despite lots of open tables. There were lots of servers working. The young blonde with major attitude acted like she didn't want to be bothered seating us. She flirted with other waiters and even what appeared to be the manager. Once we got our table, it look over 30 minutes for a waitress to even take our drink order. This was after telling the hostess (who was socializing) that no one was waiting on our table. While the food and the ambiance are great, David's needs to set the expectations for their employees, and then RESET the expectations again, and remind some of their servers that when they come to work, they leave the entitlement at the door. No one should have to wait 20 minutes for service, or drink orders! But then, we wouldn't had to wait for so long if our server wasn't so busy chit chatting with her friends and checking in on her cell phone!!! It has been a very long time since I've been here and the family brought me here since they had other family visiting so we came here for dinner. We were taken to a table immediately upon coming inside. The interior was pretty nice with an "old fancy" style to it with bric fireplaces, clean white paint walls, and lots of lights. Also lots of sport decorations all over the walls. Our waitress was Shannon and she was very nice to us, taking our order nice and quick too! I ordered an individual BBQ Chicken pizza and it was pretty tasty. The cheese was nice and melty, the chicken was well cooked and there was ample of it, and the sauce combined it all together perfectly! This was a much better experience and better food than last time. The pizza was much better than the tenders I had last time I was here. We've dined at David's Grill several times over the years and have generally enjoyed the food, which is why it's disappointing that our last few visits have been consistently underwhelming. Our server was friendly, but unfortunately not very attentive. We understand the restaurant was busy and tried to be patient, but the service fell short throughout the meal. We were never given the seasonal menu and had to look it up on our phones. We also had to flag someone down multiple times just to get water refills. Three people at our table of 11 weren't even given water when we were seated and had to ask for it. When a pitcher finally arrived, we were asked who needed water, even though several empty glasses were clearly visible on the table. After we finished eating, our empty plates also sat on the table for quite a while before anyone came to clear them. There were also several issues with the food. Our grandmother's chicken strips came out well after everyone else had received their meals, almost as if the order had been forgotten. One taco order arrived with beans and rice instead of the requested chips and salsa. A burger ordered well done was cooked closer to medium. The seasonal lemon garlic shrimp pasta had a generous amount of shrimp but was surprisingly lacking in flavor. We know David's Grill is capable of better because we've had enjoyable meals here in the past. However, the service during our last few visits has been below expectations, and the lack of attention to both the dining experience and food accuracy makes it difficult to overlook. Went for lunch with a friend and left wondering why we hadn't come here sooner! The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment I walked in to meet my friend, who was already seated. They were especially thoughtful in asking if we needed a different table for easier access since I had my son in his car seat. We both started with cocktails -- my friend had the Watermelon Basil Kiss, which was refreshing and flavorful, and I ordered a dirty martini that was perfectly made. For lunch, I enjoyed the teriyaki salmon bowl, which was absolutely delicious (and made me wish I could recreate it at home). She told us our server would be right with us. The first server brought some lemons to the other table for their water then took their order. We kept waiting for our server for over 20 minutes, and the whole time we watched all the servers ignoring us. So we finally just got up to leave. I saw the manager and told him that we had two groups arrive after us get their orders taken while we were ignored. I came here for the first time on an open table bonus I wanted to try this place and got what I expected. Good food and good service the server came to us every 7 to 10 minutes making sure we didnt need anything. The place is also clean and nicely decorated with sports memorabilia. It was bustling when we came by and if it was closer to us we would come more often. At the end of our lunch they couldnt located the gift certificate that open table provided and still gave us the discount even though we didnt insist because it wasnt their fault. We are regulars and big fans of David's. We have mostly had great service and food there over the years. But lately, we are not impressed. We went for a late lunch on 4-28-2026 and had Kristen as our waitress. We LOVE the Hawk sandwich and can now rarely go since they changed the menu and time for lunch since we work and are now not able to get there before 4 pm to order the sandwich. Yesterday we happened to be off and chose to go to David's mainly for the Hawk sandwich. Service started off slow. The waitress finally came over and asked about drinks (we just drink water). Then a bit later she came by our table, but did not stop to take our order and no we were not still looking at menu's, we were ready to order. A bit later we she came by the table again but did not stop, so we stopped her to let her know we were ready to order. In between we needed more water and the waitress was no where to be found, so we caught a young kid and asked him for water, which he filled our glasses. The waitress took our order and it was pretty timely when the order arrived. It was correct and delicious! But then we needed more water and had to wait and track her down for more water. The service feels very slow and kind of careless anymore there. You don't get the service we once paid for. And our tips did reflect the service we received - which was not up-to-par. We also had mentioned twice in the beginning that we wanted 2 checks. And we only received 1 check. The fact was it was an exact split in half amount, but the fact of the matter is we asked for 2 checks, which has a purpose. Both parties did not receive a customer receipt copy, due to the fact that the waitress took it upon herself to only provide 1 bill/receipt. Again, we stated this in the beginning for a reason. It's sad how the way this world has become is up to what others decided and not what you ask for or expect when you are paying for a service. David's we have enjoyed a handful of years there with good food, service and the long past Hawk sandwich being on the menu - as long as you arrive before 4 pm, which is not possible for many of us who work. Decided to try out this place since it's close to our house. It was pretty busy golf course for a Wednesday lunch. The bar was packed but not the restaurant. The service was slow, the hostess gave us the breakfast menu instead of lunch and wasn't very chipper. Our server could've checked on us a little bit faster/more but overall good service. I got the ahi salad which was seasoned almost to perfection, the soy sesame dressing was just a little too salty, and I prefer salty dishes. But the mango cut it nicely, wish there was more bell pepper. The wasabi aoli was delicious to dip the tuna in. My mom's fish a chips were cooked perfectly today. Not overdone at all and the tartar sauce was nice. Fries were a hit too! Definitely be going back to try the breakfast and the pizza. Ooh and the carrot cake was also delicious. read more

I love having a nice consistent restaurant close by! David's has always been okay but recently they have really stepped up the food quality. A friend and I had lunch here last weekend and sat outside on the gorgeous patio! The service was excellent and the view of the course was amazing. We even had a pair of hawks fly over to their tree house. I tried the 10th Hole salad, which is just a southwestern style chicken salad. It was delicious! Huge portions, too. My friend had the Cobb without bleu cheese and it looked great. I've had the regular Cobb salad there and it is amazing! I am a frequent visitor, now. As regulars, we recognize good nights and bad nights. Tonight was mediocre. Our server was pleasant enough although was quick to present the check when we still had half full plates. She then came back as we made more progress and quickly whisked my husband's plate away without asking if he was finished, when he still had food on it. My only explanation is her mind was elsewhere and the dinner crowd was coming in and she wanted us to leave quickly so our table could be cleared for the next group. Mind you we came in at 4:00pm and it was still quite empty. We sat outside, and it was lovely. Breezy and not too hot. Sitting on the patio is always pleasant. On Friday night there is entertainment. I ordered the Friday night special, smash burger with a brew. This has to be at least the 4th time I've ordered a burger at David's and it was well done vs medium rare and overly seasoned with salt. I didn't complain or send it back. I have t learned my lesson. My suggestion is that whoever is at the grill be trained on how to cook meat properly. More than likely I won't get a burger again until I see reviews that would indicate a change has been made. The nachos and teriyaki bowl were enjoyed and are regular orders for us. I would like to point out that the young lady who cleared my plate, asked before she whisked it away. I appreciated that. It's the simple things that make a difference. There are more good things about David's than bad and we appreciate our neighborhood grill and those who are friendly and work hard. read more

Our whole family went to David's grill for Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving. It was really nice. It was roomy. We had space for a family to sit and laugh and talk. Kids in bars? Why are kids allowed in bars with gaming when adults are trying to relax? I was in davids a few months back, and a young couple came in with an infant and sat at the bar with the poker machines and drank mimosas. Party on mom , but come on. i love families and babies ....
