Good ice cream. I sampled the pumpkin chai (good pumpkin flavor and spice) & ube (was ok, the ube flavor was there but kinda weak). I decided to get Trifecta instead. The ice cream was creamy and not too sweet! The mix of candy pieces (oreo, reeses) were plenty and they were still crunchy.

Davis Creamy serves as THE consistent, clean, and quality location for your ice cream fix. The patio area, trash bins, and interior were all well maintained during my late evening visit. Service was extremely welcoming and helpful when navigating the assortment of their many unique flavors, of which you are invited to sample 2 flavors. I tried the ube and chocolate mint flavors, both of great quality. Both flavors were rich, creamy, and didn't have the artificial taste that you sometimes taste at other stores. Servings are quite generous as my $4.50 single scoop was more like 2-3 scoops of ice cream. With prompt, friendly service, a clean location, generous portions, and quality ice cream at a decent price, Davis Creamery serves is a MUST visit for any Davis passerby.

Visited from out of town and came across Davis Creamery. Unfortunately, it was closed temporarily because of shortage in milk distribution. So we returned the next day and boy, were we glad! It was simply delicious and the prices were great! Well recommended!

Stopped by this place on our way thru Davis looking for some ice cream. Overall it was pretty good! The prices were fair for the size scoop you get. I do like how they have lots of unique flavors, but because of this, I do wish you got more than 2 samples per person. I may have to come back some time to try the others they have. Service was also good as well, very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

The best ice cream in Davis 100%. Tried their ube and coffee oreo pint, they were soooo good. Ube flavor was not very strong but super on point, overall just insanely tasty. Texture is great too. Dunno about service or ambiance.

We had a long day at the soccer fields and wanted a special treat before heading out. I saw this place had rave reviews, and when we drove past there was a line out the door! Seems like it was true! So we waited and it did not disappoint. There are tons of special flavors and they did allow you to taste them if you were not sure. We stuck with the normal ones, but they were delicious nonetheless.

A must-stop if you're visiting Davis. Whether it's a pit-stop after touring UC Davis or a dessert stop after dinner downtown, you can't go wrong with coming here. You can feel the homemade, small mom-and-pop shop vibes when you enter, which is the BEST (but I'm biased because small business yogurt spots and creameries was my childhood)! I could have used a little more energy from the person working, but considering they had a group of 15-20 people before us and they were the only employee there, I give them credit. It's not easy working food service. And not everyone can fake it 'til they make it. Nonetheless, they let you sample 2 flavors (but if there's nobody behind you, one more wouldn't hurt) and they have a ton of cool ones to try, so choose your two wisely! I sampled the Bridgadeiro (a Brazilian dessert that resembles a chocolate truffle) and the Ube. I've never had a bridgadeiro, but I was blown away; it was SO GOOD! I was a little nervous about it because chocolate can easily taste artificial in frozen desserts, but they made this flavor perfect. I wasn't in love with the Ube (it could have been just a little creamier and fuller), so I got the Coffee Oreo instead. Didn't sample the Coffee Oreo (but do you really need to? It's coffee and oreo. C'mon) and it was delicious. The waffle cone was fresh and tasty and didn't leak much at the very end (I'm a slow ice cream-in-a-cone devourer, it comes with the territory). Their website says they may change flavors daily, so you never know what you're going to get. Ah, the beauty of it all.

I've been here many times. However this one faithful visit was a dud. The waifu got the single scoop that were split into two different flavors. That's not bad. What was bad was the stale waffle cone that the ice cream was served in. It was bendable bc it was so stale. There was absolutely no crunch to the waffle cone at all. How deplorable! Normally waifus are easy to please but hard to satisfy. However this time I agree with her disgusted look towards the waffle cone. Now this isn't to say that no one should ever go to Davis creamery. I am also not saying the staff picked the worst waffle cone to serve to us. However a date night that ends with an ice cream outing ought to include a crunchy fun to eat waffle ice cream cone is just really frustrating to a princess or a spoiled Yelp critic. And the expired, doughy, chewy waffle cone was such so offensive that the waifu just gave up eating the cone and ice cream altogether. And since I never throw away food, I ended up eating the whole waffle cone. And let me tell you, the waffle cone was lackluster and lifeless. Go try for yourself Davis creamery. My sugar cone was aight. Just the right amount of crisp and crunch. But beware the stale chewy waffle cone that cost an extra $1.50 (Sorry for the first world problem whining; I sound like an Asian kid whose jingjing just earned him a 5 star mehmeh)

I don't often write Yelp review anymore - but please accept this as my petition to keep Pandan Coconut as a reoccurring flavor!! We sampled it during bracket week and waited until the following week to buy the whole quart. My filipino family gives it a 10/10 . Not too sweet, consistency amazing, and the accessibility of GOOD ice cream in Solano County makes me want to buy multiple gallons to keep for myself. I personally am the type to not like coconut shreds in my Pandan ice cream, so this one is top tier for us. Thank you Davis Creamery for not just offering Ube, but also Pandan. Such an underrated filipino dessert but honestly better that Ube IMO.

I've tried quite a bit of ice cream and this is definitely some of the best I've had in a long time. I was ecstatic to see all the cow-themed merchandise & decorations for Davis. Service was friendly and hard working! My boyfriend and I shared 2 scoops (chips ahoy + oreo and the trifecta). Both were absolutely delicious and not too sweet. My only feedback is to add more of the Chips Ahoy + Oreo bits into the ice cream. I can't wait to come back and hopefully try their Avocado Coconut flavor! I purchased a cute cow printed reusable straw as a souvenir. Definitely drop on by for delicious ice cream and good vibes! You won't regret it!

Saturday in Davis so of course ice cream sounded delicious - this spot came recommended by a restaurant down the street. We sampled a couple flavors and ended up with ube and cookies and cream coffee. Ice cream had great flavors but if you prefer harder ice cream, this was not it. Would've been perfect for me if the texture was harder. Server was friendly and place was clean!

Went here with some friends on a rainy day and we were happy with what we got. Do note there is nowhere to sit inside, but there is outdoor seating available. We just weren't able to use it cuz it rained that day lol One thing I really wish they did was warm up the cookie for their ice cream cookie sandwiches (I forget what they're called). My ice cream was just sitting in between a hard cookie and it didn't make my dessert very enjoyable. Would've got a waffle cone or something instead. They have some pretty interesting flavors! read more

Got Davis Creamery after Picnic Day and it was so crowded! The line was long, but they also had a standalone booth next to the shop with limited and different flavors. We decided to purchase from the booth because we weren't interested in the in-store flavors. I got a scoop of cherry blossom (I really should have sampled it beforehand, but I was just so excited), and my first bite left me feeling indifferent. It didn't taste like anything at all; it just tasted like sweet ice cream. On the other hand, it was definitely creamy and smooth! If I'm in the area again, I would come back to try their other flavors. read more

5/5 stars, if you are looking for your go to ice cream spot, this is it! It terms of taste, there are a variety of flavors that are continually rotating out and in. The texture of the ice cream is quite thick and has an oophm when biting into it. Only downside would be the wait and the 2 sample maximum per person. read more

Adorable little spot on campus! Was originally looking for a Cold Stone but this discovery was even better! Easy street parking and not a line inside that night. Customer service was so nice and helpful too! Ended up getting a ice cream sandwich with two snickerdoodle cookies smushing together coffee oreo ice cream. Um, YUMMM!!!! SO GOOD, I felt like a creative genius combining those two sweets together. Haha definitely got the sugar high I was looking for. A Davis favorite! I love how they make all their own fun flavors here but offer the classics too! Staff are always very kind and ice cream is always enjoyable. Ordering is super easy and efficient too. I also appreciate how you can split scoops (like you can get a single scoop but split it in half to get different flavors). I had raspberry and thai tea and thoroughly enjoyed both :) Davis Creamery can be enjoyed by everyone! read more

There's a great selection of ice cream here! A handful are staple flavors that are always available, and the rest rotate. I tried a flight of 4- coffee Oreo, ube, orange blossom, and blueberry lavender. Hot tip: plan your flavors in the order you want them if you get a flight. That way the ones that mix (when melting) still taste good! I loved the texture of their ice cream, and the flavors are solid. read more

The ice cream here is solid, and there are plenty of outdoor seating outside. The first time I was here, the server was rude. The second time around, we had someone much more patient and kind. Samples are offered, and do try the cow pie (ice cream between two cookies) and ice cream flights (4 flavors). read more

Best ice cream in Davis! Really! Go here if it's the only ice cream you eat in Davis. Some of my favorite flavors (so far): Coffee Oreo Trifecta Red velvet Oreo Cupcake You really can't go wrong with any flavor, and there are always new ones to try. The texture of the ice cream is super nice and creamy. It's even a little stretchy so you can just pull it with your spoon if that makes any sense. Very satisfying. Tasty scoop shop to grab some ice cream. Perfect for beating the heat on a hot summer day. But their desserts can be enjoyed all year round! You can find them on the first floor of a large mixed-use building along E Street. I'm not too familiar with parking in the area, but it looks like there's a couple of lots within walking distance if there's no spots close by. Plenty of places to park a bike if you're a cyclist. Their ice cream is made in small batches, in-store, utilizing fresh and local ingredients whenever possible. Some flavors are conventional, like the Vanilla or Mint Chip. Others are more unique like Avocado Coconut, Thai Tea, and Coffee Oreo. I notice they tend to rotate their flavors more frequently compared to other places, so that keeps things interesting. The scoop of strawberry I got was enjoyable, with a fluffy texture and milky consistency. A classic you can't go wrong with. Dairy-free and vegan options are available as well. Besides scoops, they also sell sundaes, pints, quarts, and ice cream cookie sandwiches. Every year (except 2020 and 2021 because you know), they host an event called Ice Cream Bracketology. Customers submit their creative flavor ideas, Davis Creamery brings their ideas to life for everyone to try, flavors are then voted on and eliminated until there is one left. The winner sometimes joins their rotation! What a fun way to engage with the local community. Other treats on the menu include macarons, cupcakes, caramel apples, milkshakes/malts and more. Even cupshakes- two scoops of ice cream thrown in a blender with a cupcake. Sounds like a very...interesting option, but I won't knock it until I try it. read more

I know this is a classic Davis thing... but I thought it was just okay maybe because of the flavors I got. They were just too sweet for my tastes (I got the brigadeiro and horchata chai). I really appreciate how you're able to get two flavors for a single scoop price, though and loved the cow ambiance. It was so fun! They also have vegan/lactose-free options! Not a huge variety but I tried one of the flavors and it was really good! Very refreshing, though the texture wasn't that smooth for the sorbet. read more

A great little ice cream shop located in the middle of Downtown Davis. They have an assortment of sweet treats apart from the ice cream and some really unique flavors. The employees are nice and helpful and willing to answer any questions you might have. I got a scoop of the Trifecta, which was a combination of a ton of my favorite childhood sweets all rolled into one (Oreo's, Reeces's and Butterfingers). The ice cream was really tasty and overall, it was the perfect stop for a hot day (though I'd come back anytime)! read more

Really high quality ice cream in Davis. I was visiting some friends for the weekend and they said Davis Creamery is an iconic place in Davis. I love ice cream so I had to check it out. Let's get into it. Taste: They have a bunch of flavors and many are super unique. They change some out every couple of weeks and have something for everyone. I got the Trifecta, which is Vanilla with 3 types of chocolate candy. Super delicious with a nice crunch. My friends got a cream puff filling flavor and I think I liked theirs more. There were many other flavors I didn't get to to try as well. Overall no complaints, it was creamy and not too sweet and satisfied my ice cream craving. Rating: 9/10. Value: I don't remember the prices off the top of my head, but I think a single scoop was around $4. It was a good size and pretty on par with most ice cream places. No complaints here as well, for how good it tasted and a good size scoop, the price I paid was well worth it. Rating: 8.5:10. Experience: Service was great, they offered tastings for 2 flavors. Fast, efficient, no problems at all. No complaints here. Rating: 7/8. Final TVE score: 24.5/28, scaled to a 4.4/5 for Yelp. I'll be nice here and round up to a 5. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the UC Davis area and craving some delicious ice cream. read more

Ice Cream is great quality and reasonable prices. I like how there is a suggestion board where popular ice creams are called out; they also give samples which is key when picking a bizarre ice cream flavor. Tables outside could use some serious cleaning. read more

Came here on a beautiful day in downtown Davis! They have lots of creative flavors. Unfortunately, due to Covid, you cannot have samples. I got the salted caramel & coconut cream pie. It was soooo good & creamy!! The girl that was helping me was also friendly & helpful. She offered to give me recommendations & let me choose two flavors in a one scoop. Ugh the ice cream here is gOOd. I got the raspberry lemon on a waffle cone (one scoop) while my girlfriend got the coffee Oreo also in a cone. Both were finished quickly. Service was quick for a Sat afternoon! Ambiance is basic but they sell stickers, candy, magnets, etc so it has a different touch to it. I'm coming back soon to try more flavors for sure! read more

The place smells like waffle cones, like any good ice cream shop should! I got a split scoop of the coffee oreo and a vanilla ice cream with candy bars mixed in. The ice cream was creamy, had a lot of mix ins, and was less than $4. The ice cream was indeed super creamy and hit the spot, but I thought their flavor options were underwhelming. Take this review with a grain of salt because my fave ice cream places are Salt & Straw and Molly Moon's. I can't help but use them, with their wild, inventive, extravagant flavors as my metric when visiting ice cream places. Davis Creamery is more of a classic, mom and pop diner type ice cream place in my opinion. I'm also deducting a star because they ran out of chocolate ice cream. I fully appreciate that places sell out of flavors, but it felt odd that they ran out of such a staple ice cream flavor. I get it if this is just me being weird though lol read more

In town from Sacramento and was craving a sweet treat before heading back after spending a day strolling around. Quick service, and the flavors are SOO good. Both peanut butter Oreo and lemon poppyseed were 10/10 but PB Oreo is genuinely a 1000/10 soooo good. Also got a mini pistachio macaron sooo good too but a bit pricey for being the size of a quarter lol. My total for 2 scoops & mini macron was $8 something. Would recommend! read more

A bunch of selections to choose from. Very creative ice cream flavors. It's near a bunch of other places so we ate good, walked around (very beautiful area) then came here for dessert. The young ladies at the cash register were very helpful and joked with us. Great customer service. So tasty! Amazing flavors. I love the little souvenirs too. I only kept one star back because there's a specific person we've been helped by a couple times that just stares at us like we're stupid when we ask to try flavors before picking one. I came to this place out of pure curiosity. I was waiting for a table at Yakitori Yuchan when I saw all everyone at the outdoor tables with a ice cream cup from this place. I decided to pop in afterwards and I can't wait to make another trip to Davis just for this ice cream shop. I'm quite surprised at the unique selection of flavors. Love this ice cream place! Their specialty is in their exciting flavors. I got the Thai tea ice cream and the rose cardamom ice cream. I loved both the flavors. The Thai tea ice cream tasted just like That iced Tea (perfect sweetness). In the Rose cardamom ice cream, I could taste the cardamom more than the rose. I loved both these unique ice cream flavors. The flavors are unique, innovative and go well together - I had blueberry lavender, portions are ok. Shop is a good size, lots of exotic flavors, but missing some of the basics like Strawberry, etc., which my son likes. The ice cream is light and almost fluffy. Coming from Santa Barbara McConnell's country, Davis Creamery is for me, lacking that dense buttery creaminess and high fat content I associate with really fine ice cream. Still the flavor combinations are some of the most unique I've seen with an overall great taste. read more

Stepping into Davis Creamery is always a delightful experience, and it's one I wholeheartedly recommend. It's the combination of outstanding service, friendly faces, and delectable ice cream that keeps me coming back. The first thing you'll notice is the excellent service. Each staff member is consistently polite and welcoming, making the Creamery's atmosphere warm and inviting. On busy days, you may find a line stretching out the door - a true testament to the popularity of this place. But don't be put off by the crowd; the line moves quickly, and the staff manages the rush efficiently. Plus, the friendly crowd only adds to the charm of the place. The star of the show, of course, is their ice cream, which is made fresh in-house. Every scoop sings of quality and attention to detail. My personal favorite has to be the Ube flavor. It's a perfect balance of sweet and creamy, with the unique, subtle earthiness of purple yam that will keep you coming back for more. They used to have an intriguing Coconut Ube variant, which seems to have disappeared from the menu recently. I do hope they bring it back. The Creamery doesn't offer seating inside, but there are tables available outside right next to Thai Canteen - a perfect spot to enjoy your ice cream on a sunny Davis afternoon. In summary, Davis Creamery offers a wonderful blend of top-notch service, a friendly environment, and most importantly, incredible ice cream. Davis Creamery is hands down the best ice cream stop in town! My sister and I make it a tradition to stop by every time we're in Davis, even if it's just for a quick visit. The place has a fun, welcoming vibe that really reflects the spirit of the community -- you can always count on it being busy, which just goes to show how much locals and visitors alike love it. The staff is consistently kind, patient, and helpful, even when the line is out the door. It's clear they care about providing a great experience, even during the busiest rushes. The atmosphere inside is cheerful and lively, and it's a fun spot to hang out for a bit while you enjoy your treat. This time, I tried the sorbet shake -- it was definitely a refreshing choice, especially on a hot day, though I personally found it a bit too sweet for my taste. That said, the flavors here are always exciting and creative, and I love that there's always something new to try. Since I'm not in town often, I try to switch it up with each visit, and I've rarely been disappointed. The only reasons I'd give it 4 stars instead of 5 are because of the sweetness of my shake this time and the fact that the line can get really long, especially on weekends. Still, it's absolutely worth the wait. If you're in Davis and craving something cold and delicious, this spot should be at the top of your list. read more

I'm really disappointed to be writing this, especially because my wife and I have been regular customers here and have always had positive experiences in the past. Unfortunately, our visit today was the complete opposite. The server we interacted with was extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. All my wife did was ask a simple question about their policy, and the response we received was completely out of line. Instead of addressing the question respectfully, the server had a bad attitude and even told us, "there's another ice cream shop down the street that you can go to." That kind of response is unacceptable, especially toward loyal customers. We've never experienced this level of disrespect here or at any establishment, for that matter. It was shocking and honestly pretty upsetting. I hope management takes this seriously, because no customer should be treated this way. This experience has definitely changed how we feel about coming back. read more

Davis Creamery is one our favorite spots! The ice cream shakes here are absolutely divine--rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor! My kids look forward to our visits on warm, sunny Fridays after school, making it a perfect way to kick off the weekend. One of the highlights is the outdoor seating, which allows us to savor our treats while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of downtown. Best in town. I can honestly say I don't think I have EVER had a better ice cream experience! You can tell they use a high quality base for all their ice creams because each flavor is rich and creamy. They have typical flavors and unusual ones. Some even use fresh ingredients from local producers. Cute shoppe and employees are very helpful and kind. read more

the worse customer service I have seen in a long time. went in for my sons birthday and a customer wished him a happy birthday and was so kind to start singing happy birthday to him when one of the employees rudely told us to "quit sInging" last thing I expected to hear. so disappointing. read more

Had great flavors available. Sad they didn't have my favorite which is pecan. I would recommend this place to those who enjoy thick ice cream. The milk in the ice cream did not go well with my stomach afterwards. read more
