My friends and I usually go to Dawa next door but decided to go to Kochi Po-cha for a change in scenery. We got the Creamy Onion and Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken, which I thought was just ok. The chicken is a bit dry and the fry doesn't stay crispy at all. The Creamy Onion sauce is surprisingly very tasty so it made the chicken a lot better- I would come here just for this. On the other hand, I could pass on the Sweet & Spicy sauce because it was on the blander side. We also got the Rose Tteokkbokki which I really enjoyed! It's flavorful, creamy, and overall well balanced. I just wish it came with more sauce. We got surprised by a Jinro mascot and team in the middle of our meal- they were taking shots of a new lemon flavored soju with every table. It was so much fun and I even got a free t-shirt. Totally unexpected but loved it haha! While this isn't my favorite spot for Korean fried chicken, I do see myself coming here again for specific things. read more

Kochi Po-cha is the perfect restaurant to celebrate with friends and families late at night. It is one of the only late night spots in Lynnwood that not only serves Korean street style dishes, but also alcoholic beverages like their Somaek tower. I recommend trying their tako wasabi, chicken wings, and any of their spicy stews. Under old management, music would be played pretty loud in the late evenings so come prepared for a louder, young environment. read more

Okay, so I've been coming here a lot more times than expected and over the years, I've come to appreciate this place more. I've been liking the place so much that I end up buying take out every once in a while for parties, friends, and just to eat at home cause I'm craving some Korean Fried Chicken. Service has been a lot better with bringing out the food. I think that one experience left me with a sour taste in my mouth before which is why I'm updating my review after visiting this place more. Says a lot I think since I keep coming back. So usually I come here pretty late in the evenings and it gets crazy busy some nights, especially the weekends. They have a bunch of different flavors for the chicken and you can always have the sauce on the side. They also got some other great Korean street food and dishes like corn cheese and bossam. All the food goes pretty well with a nice cold beer or soju if you like to drink. It's a for sure solid spot to hang with friends while getting a bite to eat. The food here is delicious. And for the food alone, I would give a solid 4.5 stars out of five. After my first visit, I have been craving their short rib soup. The birth is light but extremely flavorful. The sweet potato noodles are the perfect texture, never overcooked with that nice soft chew and perfect for slurping. The beef rib is tender and full of flavor, just like broth. Pro tip, when you're done with the noodles add some rice to your broth. The chicken wings are always delicious. Crispy on the outside and juicy In the outside. The batter in the chicken is not too heavy either. The wings are big too. Plenty of meat on these wings. We did get a small side of banchan with the wings consisting of fermented kimchi, cucumber and fish cakes. The reason for the lack of stars is because on our last visit, we walked in at opening and almost all the tables had remnants of guests being there. Mostly eaten food, empty glasses and lots of dishes on the tables. Halfway through our meal, it clicked in our heads that it was all leftover from closing. So instead of cleaning at the end of their late service, it was left to be cleaned the next day. Our server was attentive to us & we did order from a QFC menu and he did take our payment at the table. So definitely no qualms about the service for us while we were there. Would I come back? Came here on a weekday evening, not too busy, which makes the customer service experience even more pleasant. The interior looked different throughout the years with different seating, lighting and tv. They also offer complimentary popcorn and peanuts when you wait for the food. A new item I never had was the rose Tteok-bokki, super creamy, not too spicy and rice cakes were chewy and delicious. Also, there's something new with the fried chicken where you can order different sauces each sauce cost two dollars in addition to the $30 fried chicken we ordered three sauce which came to the total of six dollar. I don't know if I like the sauce being on the side because we usually get the sauce mixed in with the chicken, which I would prefer more, but the chicken itself was very good and crunchy. Seafood pancake and corn cheese was solid as always. I think the quality and taste of the food is better than it used to be. I would go back again for the chicken and rice cakes. read more

Kochi Po-Cha is such a great hang out spot! It's very casual and serves dishes and sides that go well with alcohol (soju). The service was okay, since you can sit yourself anywhere and order through a QR code. The food has a bit of a long wait time, but totally worth it since everything is made to order. We tried the tteokbokki, which had really chewy rice cakes and fish cake. We also had to add cheese and ramen, which elevated the quality of this dish. You simply can't go wrong with tteokbokki, so there wasn't anything too special about this dish compared to other tteokbokki spots. The beef bulgogi was very rich in flavor, it was seasoned and garnished perfectly. I loved how soft the meat was, and I would definitely recommend ordering this dish since it comes out on a hot stone plate and stays warm throughout your meal. I would recommend ordering a side of rice to have with this meal. I had to try the Korean fried chicken here, since I'm a frequent customer at Da-Wa (another Korean restaurant next door) and I LOVE their fried chicken. This place did not disappoint, because now I have two favorite Korean fried chicken spots. The Parmesan wings consists of a dry rub, while the honey garlic wings are more saucy. Both were so delicious and crispy, but my favorite was the honey garlic since it was sweet and savory. Overall, the portions here are very generous for the price. It's nice coming here with a group of friends and being able to share everything. I would definitely come here again for the Korean fried chicken! read more

What a great find on the way back from a hike. This place is open late and has great ambience. We ordered the spicy seafood soup and this paired really well with white rice. This was so nourishing after our hike. There's plenty of seafood bits with squid and mussels and it wasn't terribly spicy. The fried chicken was the star of the show but we definitely got lucky. They said they just changed out the oil before the start of the next day but they made a batch of chicken for us with the fresh oil. The breading was really lightly colored and the chicken was juicy and tender throughout. Most Korean fried chicken I've had before tends to be a little darker and has a more burnt flavor but this was extremely fresh. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area! read more

Love the vibes of Kochi Po-cha! The lighting and decoration in here is just simply too cute, and they have a bunch of drinking games available for if you want to come and get drunk with friends :) We ordered the half and half fried chicken and grilled octopus for the 3 of us, and the amount was poppin off. We had to take a handful of pieces of chicken to go. The honey garlic and sweet and spicy sauces are so tasty, but I wish we tried the parmesan instead because they were a bit similar to each other. Excellent value Korean fried chicken and other comfort food! My friends and I came here after a casual hike after work, so it was fairly late, around 9:30pm, and being Seattle, almost all the restaurants are closed. Fortunately, this one was high up on my list of restaurants to try, so we went here. It was decently busy on a Monday night, but there were plenty of tables. You scan the QR code to order, so we got the special (full order Korean fried chicken + pitcher of beer for $34.99) and creamy rose rice cake with noodles and cheese add on. While the rice cake (with add-ons costed $26) was on the expensive side, the value came from the special. A full order of Korean fried chicken was $29.99 to begin with, so you basically just pay $5 extra for a giant pitcher of beer that the 3 of us barely got halfway. For the chicken, we got volcano (which is a spicier version of sweet and spicy) and honey garlic sauces, both of which were great flavors. The volcano was spicy but still manageable for me, and the honey garlic had a nice sweetness yet still has lots of garlic flavor. The chicken is fairly juicy and tender, and the batter is nicely crispy. Service is okay, fairly hands off, but to be expected in a typical Korean restaurant, so emphasis of the review is on the food which is solid. It is high up there in comparison to some of my favorite Korean fried chicken places such as Sodam Chicken, but it is slightly better based off the value. read more

There are three side orders that came with my entree: fishcake sautee, kimchi, and potato salad. The main star of the show was the Makchang- they asked if I preferred beef or pig intestine. I opted for the pig. Some parts were gamey and extremely chewy. They prepare on a stone dish and it comes out sizzling over sliced onions and roasted garlic with chives, special sauce, and home fried potato chips over top. The portion is very generous. Could serve 2-4 people. Ambiance is very welcoming and inviting. You can leave your mark and write something special on the walls. Will be back again. read more

Something about their rice cake is that it's SUPER squishy, soft and chewy! I was very surprised by how soft it was. It's different from other rice cakes that I've had. Definitely a pleasant surprise. It's the perfect amount of spice without it being too painful. Plus the ramen made it an even better combo. Corn Cheese - Another classic dish that you can't go wrong with. Tasted just as expected. Fried Chicken - The other dishes were great but I'll have to say I was not a fan of the fried chicken. There's very little batter so it wasn't all that crispy and fried. The sauce/flavor is simply added onto the chicken and for some reason the two sauces we got (sweet and spicy & honey garlic) were very watery. I wish that the meats could have been marinated to have more flavor to them. But overall, I was not a fan of the fried chicken and neither were my friends. In terms of serving time, we did have to wait a bit for our food. Two of our friends received their order first while it took a lot longer for our food to come. It was my first time at Kochi Po-cha and I was really excited to try everything! We went at around 9pm at night and we were able to get seated almost immediately, even with a large party. The interior is kind of dark and has plenty of seating. This place is perfect for late night hangouts with friends and we saw many other groups hanging out here as well. We got half and half chicken, however I forgot which flavors we got. The chicken texture was perfect!! I loved how crispy it was and how they gave a variety of pieces of chicken (drums, thighs). I never have to worry about late night munchies knowing that Kochi Po-Cha is open until 2AM! We came here early on NYE for a chill evening of drinks and bites, and found the restaurant fairly empty. Their online ordering process is so handy - each group has a unique QR code which allows each guest to add in orders for the table at any time. With so many items to choose from, we narrowed it down to: - Bossam - Overall very tender pork belly, but I was kinda bummed that they didn't have the traditional ssam (wrap) with the dish. - Rice Ball - Classic Korean rice balls with tuna and dried seaweed. - Half & Half Fried Chicken - You can customize the half & half chicken by adding the flavors in the special instructions. We opted for Parmesan Garlic & Honey Garlic - both tasted great! - Ddukbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) - Good but my least favorite dish of the evening. Something about the sauce didn't quite remind me of ddukbokki for some reason. - Somek Tower (Soju & Beer) - Another classic Korean combination - the tower was perfect to split amongst six people! I haven't been here on a busy weekend, but I feel like Kochi Po-Cha would be great for having larger groups in the future with plenty of seating and booths. Overhyped, sadly. With all the great reviews, I expected more but left disappointed. Service was horrible... unapologetic, and far from friendly. We came with a larger group that had to be split into two tables (not next to each other), but they gave us one QR code to order off of so many of our orders got mixed up (or missing) between the two tables. For example, our table ordered two corn cheeses, but the server gave one of orders to the other table. So we sat there waiting for the second order only to find out the other table had eaten our order, thinking we bought it for them. We even kept getting orders sent to our table from the other group, while we were missing many orders. I ordered takoyaki, and it never came. So by the end of our dinner, I spoke to the server to just remove it from our tab. It was a hot mess; they could've fixed this better for us but even the waitress and the supervisor(?) appeared confused and flustered. However, I'll leave on a positive note. The food wasn't terrible. Their fried chicken was good, large in size and very crispy. Army Stew was satisfying and able to be served for 2-4 people. Overall though, I've still had better Korean fried chicken and Korean food elsewhere. read more

We arrived around 4PM and there was only a couple tables filled so we were able to get seated right away. There was 5 of us but we had to wait for the 5th person to arrive so we looked at their menu using their QR code. Not sure if the waitress was having a bad day but when she came to give us water she seemed annoyed. We did order a lot as you can see and she asked us to move things round on the table so there was room for the food. We asked if we could just moved to a bigger table since she sat us at a table for 4 and an extra chair at the end. Didn't think it would have been a problem since they only had a couple diners in there. Instead she bought a small square table to add on to the end of the table. From that moment on, she was probably more annoyed and just started bringing food to the table aggressively. We brushed it off since we were hungry. This place is close to what we had in San Diego, CA. My partner and I have been in a long search for food that is similar to what was available in the Los Angeles area and this place really hit it! The service is pretty decent depending on how busy they get. Music can be a bit loud depending on who works and how crowded/busy the place is at the time. Their price on the menu has gone up in the past few years, but I still think it's worth trying for the experience. I do wish each dish would come with their own rice (some dishes come with it, some don't). Strongly recommend going with a few friends to share a few dishes. Came here for a post workout meal and left feeling totally satisfied! We got the honey garlic chicken, tteobokki, cheese katsu, and seafood pancake for 4 (very hungry) people. The taste of everything was on point - the tteobokki was soft and not overly spicy, chicken was well flavored, cheese katsu was crunchy, the only thing about the seafood pancake was the batter was quite thick. The ambiance of this place was definitely one of somewhere you'd go to for drinking/late night food. Given that, the service was pretty good, they stopped by a couple times to refill water and give us napkins without us asking. Also bonus points for the music in the restaurant - the playlist was so good that we had to ask the staff where it was from at the end. Lots of parking in the plaza, but the turn for this restaurant is easy to miss - it's not easily visible from the road as the plaza is pretty far back from the road. I've been a loyal customer of this place for a year. I would doordash myself deep fried chicken gizzards, kimchi fried rice, and rice cakes often. By often I mean once or twice every 2 weeks. The amount they give you for fried chicken gizzards is quite generous! The kimchi fried rice is so yummy and a first pick when I'm looking to be full. Rice cakes are a classic so it's a must. I have tried the pork belly before but found it to be quite oily so i'm not a fan. Seafood pancake is pretty good but it's not a personal favorite. Overall the food here is really good and definitely tasted authentic. Not to mention they open pretty late as well for late night munchies! The -1 star was for the couple of incidents they would forget a whole item on my doordash order lol. I pay for delivery and end up driving to pick it up sometimes due to the fact that they'll forget 1/2 or 1/3 items. Sometimes they forget sauces as well but that's not a big deal. I hope this issue isn't a reoccurring one in the future as I really do like the food here. read more

This restaurant sits nestled in a small plaza with a plethora of other Korean restaurants. Great choice for some chi mac! Ordering system is completely online through scanning of a QR code. We opted for honey garlic wings, cheesy donkatsu, tteokbokki, and corn cheese. Honey garlic wings had a raw garlicky bite mellowed by the honey. Tteokbokki sauce was delicious and tasted even better the day after. Cheesy donkatsu was heavy due to the cheese but the tomato-ey sauce helped to cut it. And of course, corn cheese was the ol' reliable! No bad choices when you're dining here, just a little on the pricey side ($15 for 6 fried wings?).
