Being an avid massage goer, this spa is not relaxing at ALL! Gave them 2 stars because I came a little early & they took me right away. (There was no one in the place anyway) Oh & because they gave me change for quarters for the meter. My BF got me a 60 minute any kind massage gift certificate. Usually spas give you a waiver to fill out when you first walk in. This place does not which is shady to me. I booked an appointment for a deep tissue. Never had one where a masseuse literally stood on my back & massaged me with her feet for about 10 mins. She asked me if there was an area to focus on & I told her my shoulder was knotted up. She did not get it out but moved the knot into my arm. Randomly she broke out hot rocks on me & didn't care to ask if the temperature was ok. The whole time, you could hear music blasting from next door & doors slamming. Was very annoying. When I was about to leave she was trying to be a little pushy on a 5 hour massage for $275 & how it was a great deal but I could not really understand her English. Will not be coming back. I informed them that I have a membership elsewhere and I was only using a gift card provided. The pressure still continued. It was crazy. I saw this had a groupon special, so i decided to call the place first to see if I can make an appointment. The lady on the phone told me that I wouldn't be able to book if I had a Groupon. Not exactly sure why. But she allowed me to get the groupon price if i paid over the phone. Since I was coming out of town, I didn't have the chance to do more shopping and it seemed like a pretty good deal. It was a "Couples massage and facial with champagne and chocolate". We arrived and they brought us to our room. It was nice and dim and I saw champagne and chocolate. When we looked closer, it was champagne it cheap plastic stemware and wrapped snickers. The massages were OK (better than nothing) but the two masseuses were talking to each other almost the whole time which made it not very relaxing. I don't have the best skin, so while getting my facial, they were trying to sell me an $80 upgrade for a different mask that I could probably buy at Walmart. No thank you. They also tried getting me to come back so that I can get a better facial etc. When we were leaving they had envelopes with our masseuses' names on it so we can put our tip in there. I need to break a bill but instead of getting cash, I just told them to split it. Overall, I would not go back again. Don't waste your money and go somewhere else. :-) read more

I received a groupon for a facial as a gift. The facial/massage was ok, although the operator was a little rough. She continued to offer me "upgrades" which would cost more money, which did not set for a relaxing mood. after, the owner informed me that I owed 10% of the groupon as tax. I also tipped well, and was again, very rudely told to purchase future services for a total of $480. Owner did not take no for an answer and I literally walked out while she was still talking. About an hour later, I became very ill, nausea, vomiting and diareha for 8 hours, and slept the next day, all day. Today I am only slightly better, bt still no appetite. Worst Spa experience we've ever had. After purchasing a gift certificate from the business itself, the receptionist actually tried to say the gift certificate had already been used (so started off confused and stressed). ?____? Very shady. After about 10 minutes of arguing to get her to honor the gift certificate she had previously sold, we waited 20 minutes past the appointment time, for a rushed massage (only one side of the body was massaged) and a laughable facial (about 10 min)--I was left even more confused. During the entire experience, we were constantly bombarded with requests to buy additional services. After about four "no's" they then dropped it. Upon leaving, the receptionist told us how much we should leave for tip and tried to sell a $300 packaget even after we said we had a horrible experience. I thought I had entered the twilight zone. I left more stressed than when I entered. If you have high blood pressure, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

I looked for reviews on this place before purchasing a groupon and couldn't find any so I took the plunge and made the purchase. $69 for a 60 minute massage and 60 minute facial to me seemed like a good deal. When first seeing this place I was a little uneasy but once I went in I was a bit happier. My massage was really nice, I stuck with the basic Swedish but the therapist kept trying to pressure me into upgrading to a deep tissue for an extra 20 dollars. The facial was really nice as well but like someone else mentioned, my esthetician kept trying to persuade me into upgrading to a collagen mask. Again, I refused but was happy with the outcome. My biggest dislike of this place was that the bed was not that comfortable, it was very hard, the hole for my face actually started giving me a headache..the sheets and beds seemed very clean as did the room I was in. I would definitely go back if they offered up this deal again, hopefully by then the beds will be a little nicer!! read more

Ok so let me start off by saying that I myself am a massage therapist and it is hard for me to get a decent massage in a world full of fake masseuses. I hate seeing people complain about having to leave gratuity when you are getting services done by a profession that really relies on it. That's like going to a restaurant and not leaving a tip for your waiter or leaving a two dollar tip because the food wasn't right the waitstaff isn't the one in the kitchen preparing anything and massage therapist only do what their bosses tell them to!!! We as a massage therapist do not receive the full pay rate that you actually pay for the massage we only get a tiny portion of that and most of our income comes from the Tips we receive. With that being said: I have been here on two occasions neither with Groupon because I also worked at a facility where we did Groupon rates and it's ridiculous the amount that Groupon takes away from the business services --they take more than half so if you paid 60 for a massage and facial realize you actually paying $15 for each service because Groupon already took 30 from that. Also realize that you are getting a reduced rate but that the original price is much higher and the tip value should be of the original value of what the service is worth. So I went in at a cash rate of $50 for a deep tissue Massage with added hot stones just because I went directly to them and not with Groupon!!! Now that's a deal. I received my massages from Winnie and Linda the second time. Winnie did her shiatsu massage that involved her walking on you and omg that was beyond words I felt brand new. I went to Linda about a week ago because my shoulder was really bothering me and my lower back was super tight from massaging so much. It was totally therapeutic she even stretched me out at some points and I was sore as you ABSOLUTELY SHOULD!!!!!---be after a therapeutic massage. Which is my next topic everyone needs to educate themselves massage therapist are not magical workers we don't have pixie dust to remove your knots in a 60 minute session. We can absolutely loosen it up and make you feel better overall but it's not going away with a 20 minute massage on your back that's about consistency and stretching and hydrating watching your posture and getting regular massage for maintenance instead of when you just can't walk or take the pain anymore. After therapeutic massage you will be sore for 2 to 3 days and your homework is to stretch and hydrate now because this isn't a medical setting they might not tell you that but you should do your research. Having a massage medical background I know all of this and all of you should probably see a chiropractor as well. If you can't afford to tip, don't go it's not fair to the therapist or to yourself because if you come a second time and they remember you you are going to get a shitty massage; which you probably deserve. I give this place five stars even though they are pushy with selling you a plan but who isn't trying to increase their income especially when your mom and pop shop and not a franchise. I totally get it and honestly it's way cheaper if you do sign up because they give you 10 massages and two facials for 500 bucks and the averages to about $41 per service which is ridiculously cheap lol aside from that they don't speak much English but totally know what hurts if you point and tell them it hurts here or this is bothering me they aren't retarded and can read body language. I feel they spent most of the time placing and rearranging the towels and blankets on me. Where do I begin? It took 3 women to figure out my Livingsocial coupon. The coupon clearly stated "One hour massage & deep cleansing facial." I arrived 15 mins early yet my 11:15 am massage & facial didn't start until 11:45am. Why? I have no freaking clue! The masseuse was not friendly. The oil was cool/cold & if you've ever had cold oil poured on your back, gently flowing down your.... you can guess I wasn't a happy camper. I imagined my happy place until both the massage & facial were over. When I got to the front counter to pay the taxes & tip, the lady basically tried to bully me into buying products that I had no interest in. I had to remember that I have melanin in my skin so I couldn't be too aggressive; I politely declined every offer to purchase merchandise. Nonetheless folks, I purchased another massage & facial combo ONLY because it was the same price as the living social coupon -$45. I can say that after next month I will never return to the business. The security cameras were playing in our room. They washed & dried us with rough towels. The masseuse were talking throughout the service. They cleaned up during the session. The massage was so extremely rough I had to tell them to stop because I couldn't bare it anymore. The facial was ok but from the second it began the lady kept trying to sell me an add on for my facial. I told her no multiple times up until I finally gave in just to shut her up. I bought a 60 min deep cleaning facial....or what I thought. I received a 20 min face massage 10 min shoulder massage and 15 min mask. Then she preceded to take what felt like a knife to my face and then try and sell me on a peel. She walked out of the room several times and when she returned would turn on the bright lights and knock over objects. The steam machine had a timer on it which was so loud and right beside my ear, when it buzzed I jolted from the table. Let me stress that the massage consisted of stretching my skin from side to side. At one point I asked her to stop. I looked at the product for the mask afterwards and it had a label in another language that was faded. The lotion used on my face for the massage was Olay. The wipes felt like wash clothes they were so rough. To finish, I exit and receive a shots worth of water and an envelope with Kelly's name on it pushed towards me as I turn to leave. Stay far, far away! The customer service here is horrible! I showed up for an a appointment in which they re-scheduled me for-confirmed with my groupon voucher. The lady at the front desk proceeds to tell me voucher is marked "redeemed" already and I cannot receive my services. Now I did originally book during the pandemic & canceled within 24hours as following their guidelines. Emily told me I could re-book since they extended the promotion until May 2021. So I did re-book and then when I show up for the first time in person they tell me it's been "redeemed". No they redeemed it on their own when I originally called I was asked to provide my voucher # over the phone. Why then tell me I can re-schedule & book next for an appointment in May if you marked my voucher as redeemed last year when I wasn't there to receive my service due to co-vid?! Then to top it all of the front desk doesn't speak or understand clear English , calls her manager "Emily" on the phone who proceeds to tell me there's nothing she can do it's been redeemed & then hangs up on me. So they made out with redeeming a voucher I paid for via Groupon & never provided services. Basically robbed me & then a manager who hangs up on me. Very Bad customer service, horrible management & they don't need to have someone who doesn't understand English or knows how to check the books at the front desk. They need to be put out of business. I also purchases services for this spa through groupon and it was the worst spa experience I have ever had. This was a groupon for 2, with a 45 minute facial, 1 hour massage, champagne, chocolates and strawberries. Neither the facial nor the massage was good. The facial was nothing more than cleaning off my makeup and rubbing plain old lotion on my face for 30 minutes. And an attempt to up sell to an oxygen facial. The massage was awful, the stones were so hot as to almost burn your skin, and the massage was haphazard. No plan or attempt to work on muscles. Just random rubbing of scalding stones over your back. I was actually so happy for it to be done I couldn't get out of there fast enough. And the service was incredibly unprofessional. Often I was left very exposed on the table and they didn't really pay attention to where the sheets were. I'm not squeamish, but I found it very unprofessional. One of the attendants had on the loudest shoes, (she was also the receptionist so I 'm not really sure she was prepared to be working on people). And throughout the whole ordeal you can hear people loudly talking in the hall and other rooms, including the waiting room. It was the least relaxing spa experience where I actually left tenser than when I arrived. They also did the $7 Tax trick on us. We paid it because it wasn't worth the hassle to argue, but because the service was so lousy we severely cut our tip amounts. I normally would have felt bad, but It was the only way to indicate our displeasure. And not for anything, there was no champagne, strawberries or chocolate. The staff was very unfriendly from the time that I booked my appointment, to the confirmation call the day before the appointment, to the arrival at the spa and to my actual session. I did not enjoy my facial at all and felt that she didn't even deserve the minimum $10 tip that they posted on a sign in the bathroom; but still, I gave her $10. She didn't listen (or understand) what my requests or needs were or didn't care. They were very pushy in selling you a package or additional visits at their promotional rates. It was an overall good experience albeit I wish they had spent more time on the massage vs the facial but the Mrs was happy which makes me happy didn't pressure on the Tip either. My 14 y.o daughter bought the groupon for 3 facial treatments at DaySpa Millburn. She had a difficult time to make a weekend appointment. When they heard she has the groupon, she was told that the weekend appointments are mainly for non-groupon people, she has to wait two weeks for her appointment. When she went back for her 2nd treatment, she forgot to bring her paper with her, which has checked off her 1st treatment. They won't take her this time, even though, in their record, she only had one out of three facial treatments. The response from them is " how do we know if you used it or not". When my daughter asked if she can make an another appointment after she find the paper at home. The owner told her that she is not able to use rest of her two visits at all even though she has the paper. " I think you mom was the member here a few years ago, so you can not use the Groupon at all" My fourteen years old daughter is not able to finish the rest two out of three treatments she bought from the Groupon. Don't waste your money here, the woman that runs this place is a straight up hustler and the rudest manager I've ever encountered at a spa. I bought a couples hot stone massage with facials on groupon and my boyfriend and I had such a stressful valentine's day because of these people. As soon as we lie down for our massages, the manager comes in and starts insisting that we need to get the $40 deep tissue massage in addition to the hot stone otherwise it's not worth getting hot stone. I told her we only brought $40 to tip each girl $10, and she kept insisting that we get it, reducing the price to $30 and then $20 until we finally let her add it on so she would leave us alone.The massage was fine but nothing to rave about; we were already agitated because of the owner and the two girls were speaking loudly to each other not in English, making it impossible for me and my boyfriend to relax, speak with them, or speak to each other. For the facial I was relieved to have two friendly, knowledgeable women come in and assess our skin conditions and give us good tips for skincare. this was short lived however as they soon began trying to talk us into getting the $30 seaweed mask. When I refused they called the manager in to try and hustle us again. Finally I had to ask her to leave us alone, and she decided that slamming the door as she left the room would be appropriate. Eager to get the hell out of there, we took our "complimentary tea and chocolate" which was pretty much hersheys kisses and lipton in a dixie cup, and went to the desk to pay. We gave her the $40, 20 for the deep tissue and 20 for tips, and she scoffed in my face, demanding that we give a better tip. I reminded her that we told her we only brought $40 and that she talked us into spending more than we wanted to, and she asked for my credit card. AND she tried to charge a "coupon fee". I went to this "spa" because of an on-line deal, and I like to try out new spas. When I arrived, they tried to sell me additional services before even going into the treatment room. When I was shown to the treatment room, I heard people talking outside "it's a COUPON!" all fighting on who should have to treat me. The walls are thin and you can hear everything. I felt like I was some sort of Leper. If you want to feel bullied into paying for many extra services, or made to feel like you are on welfare because you are using a coupon, feel free to go there. I wanted a stress free day and a relaxing massage and facial. The massage was OK, not great. The masseuse kept trying to sell me on a different type of massage, that I needed it but it was an extra charge. She was very persistent and bullied me until I finally said, for the last time, NO! She was very rough, and it was not a relaxing massage. I've had a few hundred massages. I know the different types of massage, and she wasn't an expert in the type of massage I requested. Then she completely forgot about massaging my right arm, shoulder and hand. At that point, I was just happy that it was over and she was done asking for me to purchase extra services. The person who did the facial was very nice, and she seemed to know what she was doing, but again, immediately started listing off different services that she could do that I "needed" and they were of course all an extra charge. I kept saying no, and she said but your skin really needs it. I do not have horrible skin, and receive compliments on my skin frequently. I had a few imperfections, but nothing requiring the amount that she wanted for me to spend. For trying to have a relaxing day, this is not the place, as they constantly are asking you to spend more. Luckily I am comfortable in my own skin, otherwise, I would have a complex after all the improvements I was told that I absolutely needed to make to my face. If that weren't enough, they forgot about me after they put on the facial mask, which should have been on for 10 minutes. 40 minutes later, skin burning, back aching from being on an uncomfortable table, I removed the mask myself to see what time it was. I was amazed, frustrated, and horrified that they left the mask on for so long. They had been chatting up a storm, cooking food, eating at the front desk, telling stories and gossiping. I proceeded to leave and thanked them for forgetting about their customer. One woman stopped me and told me that I needed to pay them for tax on my service and my tip. I was horrified! They forgot about me, burnt my skin (I am currently under a dermatologist care to correct what they did to me), and they wanted me to pay additional? Did not enjoy it. I myself am a massage therapist and i always give therapists the benefit of the doubt, but this spa was the worst. i walk up to the desk and i tell the lady i want a deep tissue so she goes and tells me, "we will give u a guy because hes a guy so he can give u deeper pressure". Ummmmm wrong, Girls can be just as deep & even deeper than guys. But i went ahead and said okay. The massage was the WORST ever & ive had quite a few from people who arent really that good, but this one was just awful and excruciatingly painful. The therapist had no idea what he was doing, he rubbed me down so hard and kept running his thumbs thru my painful areas with the same motion that it started to feel not only excruciating but super annoying as well. He did not ease my pain whatsoever or make my shoulder feel less tense. Not only did i come out feeling exactly the same than when i originally showed up, i also left with a Sore painful back that hurts to the touch and to lay down. Do not even consider going to this place. They would not honor gift certificates I gave thru living social. They are rude, unprofessional and created a stressful atmosphere after driving quite a distance to get there to be told they would not honor certificates. Well, where to start. My friend and I purchased a Groupon for a one-hour hot stone massage and one-hour signature facial. The Groupon was set to expire in mid-February. So we scheduled our services for the last weekend or so in January on a Saturday. That day there was a pretty big snow storm and we were informed they would not be opening that day. We couldn't reschedule for the both of us until mid-April but they agreed to honor our Groupon after expiration. Day of the services, we arrive and the manager or owner, who knows, is at the front desk arguing with a staff member - very unprofessional in front of customers. My friend and I are brought into the same room, again, we didn't mind, but some older women were very unhappy about being in the same room with each other, lots more arguing. So about 5 mins into our massage, manager/owner, again, who knows, knocks on the door and starts ranting that our coupon had expired. We firmly told her the whole story, she tried to locate our original appt, couldn't find it (shocking) and then came back and said, well you are here now, enjoy yourselves and slams the door. OK, so much for a relaxing massage. The massage itself was not that great. I was burned a few times with the hot stones, my massuse never said so much as boo to me the whole time (except when she burned me and she said oops). Like others said, they tried to talk me up to a deep tissue massage - no thanks. Then the next trooops come in to do the facials. My facialist says that I have lots of dead skin and I need microdermabrasion. I tell her that no, I have very sensitive skin and I cannot do that. She insisted, I said NO! I had one hour of deep tissue massage and half hour of reflexology at this day spa. Regarding the massage I had, they are the worst I had ever experienced in my life. The girl kept working on my lower back, she used her elbow to push my back which really hurts. So I told her to be gentle but she won't listen at all. After focusing on the lower back for 20 mins she finally moved to somewhere else, but my lower back was still in great pain. The most ridiculous thing is that this pain lasted for over a week after I finished this massage. I got bruises over my back when I came home. I felt I had been hit by someone instead of having a relaxing massage! As Asian, I was told that they can offer me a cheaper price for the spa package, way cheaper than what they offered to non-Asians. I don't think this is fair to other customers. How could they offer different prices based on the race and nationality? It is discrimination. I refused going back to the day spa. A horrible experience. read more

I told them that I just got out the hospital and I can't make my appointment they told me that I should've picked up the phone while I was in the hospital and Cool even though I was in the hospital for the last three days having to have surgery and when I try to explain she hung up I think that's very inconsiderate especially when I already paid she told me that I would lose my money because I didn't pick up the phone in the hospital yesterday she even had the nerve to say their phone in the room so I could've called.
