Pepperoni

DC slices is a solid choice for pizza, the slices are a decent dice, they come out thin and crispy, no flop. The pepperoni has good flavor and they have different deals of the day. Definitely would recommend the funnel cake fries, those are excellent, the right amount of crunch on the outside and that nice chewy dough on the inside.

UGHHH :/

Absolutely awful. Not just the pizza but the customer service too. It started out when I ordered two slices on Saturday at 7:52pm. The guy at the window (pathetically this was the owner, Eric) started rushing me to put an order by saying that there was only one minute left to place an order. Very rude. I was told the wait would be 10 minutes. After A HALF HOUR I went to the window to ask how long and the guy snapped at my telling me to sit tight and it'll be ready when it's ready. 55 MINUTES LATER, it finally came out. The pizza was disgusting. My hotel was only two blocks away and when I got home, I found the pizza was soggy and cold. I feel that we were cheated and lied to as the pizza tasted like it was made long ago or it was sitting there for a quite a while. Why did I have to wait so long? I didn't sleep a wink--was up all night. Won't go into details but the pizza tasted better coming up than it did going down. Eventually had to go to urgent care and turns out I had food poisoning. Who know's what was in it, but a $300 medical bill later and losing about 10 pounds, it doesn't matter. I was in DC on a business trip and had to miss all my meetings that get due to this horrendous experience. I contacted the owner Eric to discuss at the very least getting a refund. He was again, very rude, and hung up on me. I called back multiple times but he never responded. Cowardly. Worst food experience I've ever had!!!

I was so happy when I heard that DC Slices was coming to my neighborhood and they did not disappoint. Trying to avoid potential lines (in times of COVID), I found their website and it listed an option to order ahead. Bingo! All menu items are well described and pictured. Placed my order and chose my pickup time. When I showed up, order was ready as promised. The person dispatching my order was very pleasant. Walked it home and feasted on pizza, mozzarella sticks and tater tots. Until the next time!

Ordered from the Arlington location... pizza was burnt and did not eat it... was thrown away and waste of my money

A great food truck option if pizza is what you are craving. With all of the meat toppings it may have been a little greasy . . . . but hey, sometimes that's part of what you're craving. Just be sure to get a cold Coke to wash it down. And the day I went the were handing out free salads with your order but I'm not sure if this was a normal thing or just happening that day. I recommend giving it a try. I also recommend grabbing some extra napkins.

Nice, thin, crispy crust with a good chewy texture. Slices are foldable as seen in photo. When they are parked at our apartments, they have a good amount of regular customers. We'll return.

Buffalo Chicken

I came here on a weekday around 8PM. I ordered one Buffalo chicken slice with some Ranch drizzle on top. The slice costed me $5, and you can get two slices for $9. For this price, I at least expected a high quality pizza or a bigger portion. Although the pizza was still tasty, the crust wasn't for me. It was NY style which I like, but I think they overheated mine too long. The bottom of the pizza was slightly "cardboardy" due to its hardness and the bread tasted kinda stale. It probably wasn't that great of a slice since it was pretty late in the day and not freshly made. The buffalo chicken flavor itself did have a kick of spice to it. The person before me ordered some funnel cake fries which looked really good - I gotta try those one day.

The food truck was parked in front of our apartment so why not !!! Ordered a whole pie half cheese and half veggies with a side of garlic parmesan tater tots with siracha sauce. Amazing service pizza was thin and crispy and made within 8 mins on the dot it was blazing fast. Quality of the pizza was great. Only thing and its because I was anticipating something else. Asked for fresh jalepenos and was told they had them so added it to our pizza but it was pickled. Not the end of the world but had my mind set on that. But great service and good pizza next might ask for a simple pie well done. The siracha sauce was a great dipping sauce for everything so made up for it.

Pizza and tots

Good pizza baked fresh in the truck (they say their high speed oven can cook a pizza in about 5 mins). They usually have 4 or 5 different pizzas available (sausage & onion, cheese, bbq chicken, veggie, pepperoni last time I was here). They also have a tater tots in different flavors, worth a try for sure. Slices are a little expensive at $4 each but it's good pizza and not too greasy. They also ask you if you want fresh basil on top of your pizza.

Cheese Slice

My vote of 3-star "A-OK" has absolutely NOTHING to do with the pizza slices that are dished up. On occasion the DC Slices truck comes to Metro Sq. and I can actually trek the 3 blocks to visit them. The slices are really pretty awful. The crust is meh, the sauce and toppings are actually pretty tasty, but the cheese has been cooked / heated within an inch of its life and resembles more of a "cheese tarp" over the slice. When you consider that in order to get to the DC Slices truck I have to walk past Pizza Pino that serves up GREAT fresh slices from its oven, there's little to make me want to come here for a slice of pie. So why return at all you might ask? To get an exceedingly tasty meatball sub and an order of tater tots. Oh I could wax ever so poetic about the meatball sub. Soft chewy bun stuffed with 4 big juicy meatballs coated with tangy marinara sauce. All blanketed by just the right amount of melted mozzarella cheese so you get some in every bite. An excellent sub for just $6. The tots are fried to perfection and worth the wait to get them. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Major Nom Nom Nom. I don't recommend getting the Pizza tots however as the marinara just makes the tots sort of soggy.

Cute little place that was all decorated for the season…read more This was our first time here & we had heard a good buzz about the place so we were excited to try it out & hankering for some good pizza. We arrived 20 minutes to closing, not realizing their hours, but they were open & it's pizza & cooks fast. Yet it was abundantly clear they were hoping no one walked in & we were told they were closing so we asked if we could order and they hesitated. We were about to leave when they said yes. We were a party of three & ordered three pizzas to share & try. They were decent and the other two really liked the dough but I actually did not care for it. They staff cleaned around us including at our table & had their music going. Then they sat on the counter and watched us, lol. Not a fun experience & we would not have bothered them had we known. If you are open then you are open, otherwise close up early. No real desire to go back!

They usually rotate a seasonal selection of salads so you know what you're getting is fresh and in season. For pizza, it's always so hard to just choose one or two kinds. But no matter what you decide on, you won't be disappointed. Personally, I'm a one pizza per person kinda gal, but these are for sure shareable and the ambiance is very relaxed and the staff is very nice and willing to make recommendations. A great staple in this area!

It's classic New York-style with a thin crust that has the perfect balance of crispness underneath and just enough chew in every bite. They offer a great variety of toppings, and I appreciate that you can order either by the slice or as a whole pie depending on how hungry you're feeling. Now, let's address the service. It was definitely on the snarky side, bordering on rude. Under most circumstances that would knock a star off for me, but honestly... that's part of the authentic pizzeria experience. Having spent plenty of time in the city, I almost would've questioned the legitimacy if everyone had been overly cheerful. The staff wasn't warm and fuzzy, but they kept the line moving and the pizza coming, which is really what everyone was there for. If you're looking for a cozy, leisurely dining experience, this probably isn't your place. If you're looking for an excellent New York-style slice with a beautifully crisp crust that lives up to its reputation, Andy's absolutely delivers. I'll happily brave the crowds for another slice.

When we first walked in, the cashier immediately apologized for the long wait times, thanked everyone for their patience, and let us know they were incredibly short staffed with only two people working. Because the tiny interior was already packed, we decided to leave and do some sightseeing first. However, seeing how good the pizza looked we knew we had to come back later that afternoon. There's no negative details in my review. Nothing but positive things and a small recommendation. 1. Staff and Service I really appreciated the cashier's honesty about running behind right off the bat. That allowed us to make an informed choice rather than get frustrated by a long wait. More businesses could learn from this! 2. Restaurant's Layout The inside is a bit tight and busy, but it's located in a smaller older building, so they have no other options. Since they can't expand the inside adding an outdoor pub height counter for eating, a bench or some seating out front would be a great way to give waiting patrons a place to sit. Also a place to eat. 3. The Pizza -The Veggie Pizza: My nephew and I both ordered this, and the slices were massive you'll see in my pics! They were honestly the largest slices I have ever seen! I love pizza and have eaten it in New York and Chicago, and my slice here held its own. It was loaded with a huge variety of vegetables. I requested to put mine through the oven twice to get the veggies warm and cooked because I noticed my nephew's slice looked like a warm salad on crust. So happy I did because it was delicious! The jalapeños were intensely spicy which is on me, since I'm a bit of a lightweight with spice! -The Meat Options: My son got the pepperoni and thought it was really good, and my husband got a supreme slice which he also said was good . 4. Price and pizza size- they're more expensive than a typical slice, but once you see those big ole slices in my pics you'll understand why. They can't even fit on a plate. They had to serve them to you in an actual pizza box! After reading my long review you're trying to find out if I would go back huh? Absolutely! If I ever in the area or stay at the Hilton DC again, I would definitely walk right on over and get a slice. You can feed a family of three on one slice! Adult and two small children!

Our server (I believe his name was Anthony) was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions, and even suggested cocktails based on what we liked. His recommendations for both drinks and food were spot on. He was patient while our group made decisions, attentive throughout the meal, and made the entire experience feel effortless. The food was outstanding. The Caesar salad was honestly one of the best I've had in a long time; fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We had to try the famous Drunken Love pizza, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! We also shared several pasta dishes, with the Cacio e Pepe being the clear favorite at our table. Of course, we couldn't skip dessert. We ordered the cannoli brownie, tiramisu, and cheesecake, and every single one was delicious. The tiramisu was the unanimous winner, but the cannoli brownie deserves a mention! It is incredibly rich and packed with flavor in every bite. Between the amazing food, excellent service, and fun atmosphere, Grazie Nonna made our birthday celebration one to remember. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try more of the menu!

The Alfredo came out, but the dishes were missing the chicken. It took a few minutes to get our waitress's attention, and she let us know the chicken had been forgotten and put the order in. We decided to wait rather than eat the pasta without the chicken, figuring it would only take a couple of minutes. Instead, it took about 10-15 minutes for the chicken to arrive, and by then our Alfredo was ice cold. The waitress apologized and put in a new order of pasta, but that also took quite a while. When it finally arrived, it came without the chicken, while the original chicken that had arrived late was now cold as well. At that point we didn't even eat the meal. The waitress said the replacement pasta was "on the house," which was a strange thing to point out since it was replacing a meal that was prepared incorrectly. To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, we were still charged for the original Alfredo and the added chicken. Unfortunately, this experience left us frustrated, and we left without enjoying the meal we came for.
