7/10/2026 - we walked around the building and bought from a few locations. Ordered the Detroit pizza with out the hot honey. Cooked right, heated up and served fast. About $6 total. Can't beat that.

I'm so mad i waited so long to try them. The meat lovers pizza is so delicious. Even the thin crust that's left over you will eat. The service is good as well. The guy at the register was helpful and quick. Since it was my first time there i asked which one is popular and he put me on to the meat lovers. Great experience 10s across the board

We were at Union Market and spotted Slice & Pie. Regardless of how many food stalls you've already eaten at... there's always room for pizza! I recognized Slice & Pie as one of the top pizza spots in the nation, so I had to check it out. Slice & Pie has that Sbarro's style set-up with pizza available by the slice. Slices were about $5-$6 and full pies are also available for purchase (it is a better deal to buy the full pie, so if you have a group to serve, full pie is the way to go!). They had a variety of New York-style slices to choose from - cheese, pepperoni, burrata (think margherita), truffle (think mushroomy), meat lover (pepperoni, bacon, and sausage), and the controversial Hawaiian. They also have Detroit-style and garlic knots. I want to try them ALL... give or take some pineapple pieces ;). We were able to snag the last two cheese slices on display (a new pie was in the works, but it was about a 20-minute wait). The slice was reheated up quickly and they packaged it in their little pizza boxes for an easy carryout situation. Straight from the box, the pizza smelled cheesy, and cheesy it was! They even topped it with pecorino (we're talking cheese on cheese)! The crust was light and crispy, but still a little chewy and blistery. There was a good sauce to cheese to dough ratio. Since my slice was sitting out for a little bit, I can't give my pizza-eating experience the full five stars. Pizza is still good reheated, but I think getting a fresh slice hot out of the oven is otherwordly.

We stopped by for a snack and decided to get a slice of pizza. Staff were quick and efficient even though there was a line. The crust was thin, crispy and light. I usually enjoy more of a bready thick crust but this was a nice change of pace. The sauce was tangy and a great contrast to the cheese. The burrata worked really well and I preferred it over the pepperoni version. They also drizzled some olive oil on top. They have Parmesan, oregano and red pepper flakes in the side for ppl to add. Really enjoyed not feeling the normal heaviness of pizza after eating!

Stopped for a couple of slices while walking around the Union Market. Went with a burrata slice and a Detroit slice as well. Would have liked to have them a little more hot than they came out but there was a line and staff was trying to keep things moving. Both slides were good - the burrata was more light, and the burrata cheese was a good clash to the tangy sauce. The Detroit was very heavy and rich, topped with cup pepperoni and full of flavor. Would recommend making this a stop on your travels thru the market.

Slice and Pie recently opened a Union Market location (the OG is up on 14th street). After hearing their good reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I will say that these pizza slices aren't the best I've ever had, but they were pretty good. My favorite was the Hawaiian slice. I don't think I'll rush back anytime soon, but it's a good option in NE DC.

We could tell that they had all the families with little kids grouped to one side of the restaurant, and we felt that was clever and convenient. The food was great! We both got salads. I loved the snap pea chicken salad. And my husband really liked the soba noodle salmon salad. He had a Bloody Mary, and I had a yummy mocktail. Everything was great, including the service!

If that Coke wasn't a Pepsi, it was definitely a Coke Zero or Diet Coke. It tasted awful. Now, the food. The fries were pretty decent, but the au jus that came with my French dip wasn't hot, and it wasn't enough for the whole sandwich. The bread is supposed to get lost in the au jus with every bite. I had to ask for another boat. The menu said the sandwich had Gruyère, but if it was there, I couldn't taste it. I could taste horseradish and arugula. It wasn't worth the $33 menu price. The ambiance is a bit loud. The restaurant is very reverb-y, so I heard lots of talking (though some of it was probably due to the music's being too loud), but the waitstaff didn't compensate, so it was hard to hear their voices.

It seemed the valet used the street for parking as well given the double parked cars blocking me in as I tried to leave. I had called to make a reservation in advance as the reservation site noted no availability for some reason. No issues with checking in and being seated in a timely manner, even showing up a little early in our case. The restaurant was very open and elegant, situated alongside the Riggs Hotel which has some hidden history to discover. Our server, Clemente, was phenomenal. Very attentive, not overbearing, and answered all our questions. My wife and I split a salad that we loved although felt it could have been more flavorful. It was missing something that we couldn't pinpoint whether it was croutons, tomatoes, etc although we still enjoyed it. I had the Steak Frites which came with french fries and I swapped for creamed spinach that was so delicious. My wife who isn't a fan of creamed spinach ended up eating a good portion. We ordered a side of brussel sprouts that was also good, a little sweet, but well flavored. We followed dinner up with coffee that hit the spot, along with a chocolate dessert that Clemente brought to celebrate our anniversary. It was a lovely evening thanks to Clemente and the team. We will definitely return for another experience.
