So happy that I won't have to go all the way to Flushing for delicious soup dumplings!!! Perfectly made in house where the dumpling skin is rolled out thin enough that you can see the soup inside but tough enough that they don't break open when you try and pick them up from the steamer! Their wonton in chili sauce is sublime as well as egg tofu with crab, and noodles tossed in scallion sauce bright be back to my childhood where I consumed pounds of it at my n friend's house after school. Right now the menu has a ton of Taiwanese yummies but Richard, the GM, reassured us that items like Singaporean chili crabs and Hyanese chicken will soon be on the menu as well! The food was awesome. We liked the soup dumplings so much we ordered it again. The beef with scallions was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The pancake wrapped sliced beef was also seasoned perfectly and was not greasy nor dripping with sauce and the beef was tender. The garlic wings were so flavorful and tender with a little crisp. Very nice. The Szechuan spicy beef noodle soup was delicious but a little too spicy for us. But if you like Szechuan this is legit. The numbing factor was there. And finally the Thai iced tea was yum. The service was attentive but not overbearing. We liked the tablet style ordering. Food came out quickly. And everything looked clean and bright. Glad to see the place reopen. Seemed to be well staffed and busy. Ordering is a bit confusing, they hand you a knockoff electronic tablet, a dated Amazon type and you have to navigate this to place an order ??? The waitress spent more time explaining it than she would've taking the order herself on the tablet. The cooks are so cheesy and corny, with the tables on top of one another, their unwelcomed noise making and sound effects while cooking on the hibachi table proved annoying. You're forced to hear the same nonsense over each shoulder, behind you and then in front of you, over and over again. The finding Nemo knockoff wall projector was thoughtful, but didn't change enough to remain entertaining. The smells while cooking meant the exhaust fans aren't working properly. Then there's the volcano scene, hold onto your hats for this one, these guys must have watched YouTube videos from Benihana's as they stack slices of onion rings and filled them with vodka only to light it on fire, the burst of flame eventually will light someone's hair or clothes ablaze. Now to the food, the dressing was diluted way too much and was a touch too sweet, emulsify a little more, go easy on the sugar and water and you might have a tasty dressing. The mustard sauce was awful and the ginger dipping sauce needs major help. The vegetables were fantastic, decent portion and well prepared. The fried rice was also very good, could use more vegetables in it, however, the taste was pretty good. The steak was excellent well prepared and seasoned, delicious which is the reason for the four star rating, absent that, it would've been a two star at best. The shrimp were mediocre and tough, they did not taste fresh, but rather rubbery, lacking flavor. The hibachi chicken was fantastic with an excellent sauce and seasoning, very well prepared again part of the reason for the upgraded review rating of four stars. The soup dumplings were not hot, almost room temperature, disappointing. Served with a vinegar, there's major room for improvement on those. We'll be back, this place had potential, especially since the rapid decline in food quality, over the top price increases and what were once their lunch portion sizes at Benihana. read more

Its only been open a few months and I've already been over 5x. Their soup dumplings are authentic and juicy, handmade on site fresh. The haianese chicken is one of the best my family has had and we keep coming back for more. It's so tender. The other dishes we've tried are good - from fried dumplings, to crab & tofu, to the fried fish. Staff is friendly and the ordering is mainly through the tablet. They're getting their groove with service. The one con is that the tables are all long vs rounds, which is usually better for family style dishes, so our table gets uncomfortably crowded. read more

Food 5/5 From where we sat, we can literally see the soup dumplings being made by hand near the bar area! Everything we ate (soup dumplings, scallion pancakes [although wish it came w/ sauce,] beef udon noods, crispy pork app, string beans, & teriyaki shr) were AMAZING. Ambiance & atmosphere 5/5 Music - they were playing 90s-00s R&B and I was VIBING while eating Service - you have to utilize the iPad & order through there. While it is great to be able to view the menu/place your orders at your pace, call servers, etc, esp. when it's busy, the lack of human interaction did make the first time experience less welcoming. Once we were seated, no one greeted us nor explained anything and while we did figure out the process, a mention or introduction to this type of system would be great, especially to the variety of guests that may be coming. If you need a server, you're better off requesting them via iPad b/c waving them down was unsuccessful. Server (Mary?) did come through at the end & helped us check out at the end & explained that they just opened recently, still soft opening, and grand opening is this upcoming week so maybe it'll be a diff experience then. My brothers, my kids & I came here to try out this new restaurant! My brother had mentioned our old soup dumpling place in queens closed & he has been looking for a new spot! I stumbled upon this place on my search and I'm glad we found it! From the moment we walked in, the owner was super friendly! It was a busy Saturday night so he apologized in advance for the wait and for no iPad menus. He took our order himself and checked on us every time an item arrived. The wait staff, was extremely friendly and attentive as well! But the FOOD WAS AMAZING!! Every single item we ordered, did not disappoint and it left us talking about it til the following day. The crab meat soup dumplings??!! W O W !!! The tofu!!! Wow?!!!! The tripe??! Wow!! Everything was just so good. My eldest son & my autistic toddler ate almost all of the chicken and broccoli ... and it is difficult to feed my autistic toddler & if he ate almost all the chicken and broccoli - then that means it is BOMB!! He kept asking for more, i almost had to order another one. But we definitely will come back. Place was well lit, clean. And the ambience was chill and relaxed. This is a must try, and must come back restaurant. My siblings and I stayed we will be back everytime my brother comes back from Maryland and will be our sibling dinner tradition ! I often go to China town or Flushing for good Chinese food so this is a welcome addition to Long Island. They offer a variety of food selections from Sichuan Chinese, American Chinese, Japanese and Hibachi. We ordered beef with cumin, stir-fried chicken with basil, shrimp fried rice, chicken soup dumplings, and stir-fried string beans. I enjoyed the string beans and beef the most. The beef was a little spicy to me but I like it and too spicy for my mom so to each their own. Go with what you think you can handle haha! I liked the chicken dish but my parents found it a bit salty and I do agree. The soul dumplings were very comforting. The service was outstanding and attentive, and all computerized. The ambiance is like an upscale Chinese Restaurant, with plenty of parking. The soup dumplings while well made and delicate, unlike the thick dough from other spots, the flavor was sort of flat. We also ordered General Tsao's Chicken, and sautéed pork, we found both to be disappointing in flavor and quality. The chicken was sliced incredibly thin, almost like shredded which caused it to be dry. We came to the decision that we would have fared better if we took the trek to Great Neck or Little Neck. read more

The soup dumplings are one of the best outside of Taipei's Din Tai Fung. Plenty of soup, the meat was tender, not "porky" and the skin was obviously made to order. Say good bye to reheated from frozen soup dumplings. The mapo tofu had depth of flavor. The chicken with peppers is Sichuan style, not Chong Qing, so it had some peppercorns for aroma. The dish isnt has spicy as Chuan Tian Xia, more palatable. The dish that really wow'ed us was the pan fried pork bun. It's been a while since we had such fresh and "clean" buns. They're fresh, because the juice runs clear and the breading is saturated with it. Crispy bottom and soft top like freshly steamed bun. Clean, because the bread of the bun doesn't taste like meat and the meat doesn't taste like the bread was sitting on it for a while. The juices in the soup dumplings and pork buns are light broths. Forget the dumpling places. Up the level with the soup dumplings and pan fried pork buns. The wait staff were very personable and attentive. Definitely our go to place for dumplings! read more

Food was not good at all. I ordered a ginger scallion lobster dish $38. The lobster was mushy like mash potatoes. That's not how a fresh lobster supposed to taste like. I also ordered chicken broccoli for my kids. They took a bite and spit it out. I never ever had chicken broccoli that tasted sour. Tastes like hot and sour soup I told the waiter how bad it was. It was the worst service . they sent us the wrong order and they said they made the mistake but because we started to eat it because we thought it was what we ordered we later learned they charged us for two . We asked for water they never brought it . They never came around to ask if we wanted more hot tea . My sister in law was still eating and they took her sauce away . Will never go back . They should learn how to serve their cusomers . Even after all that we left a tip , why I dont know they didnt deserve anything but that was my mistake. They dont even deserve one star. read more

I've eaten here a few times so I feel I've given it a fair chance. The dumplings are the best thing they have here, but I've had better elsewhere. They have very little meat and the filling is mostly cabbage. I did not like the dipping dauces for the steamed soup dumplings or roast pork dumplings. For the hot dishes, the Sesame Chicken and Generals chicken did not taste good, they were greasy and the portions were small. The Lo Mein noodles were good, but portion was small and there was very little meat and vegetables in the dish. The cool thing about this restaurant is you can watch the noodle and dumpling chef prepare the food. I tried to like this place, but I just didn't enjoy the food, so I won't be returning. read more
