DDs is a must try. I've never had to wait more than five minutes for a seat and the staff is super helpful. Once you sit you get an iPad to order from and a waiter confirms your order in person to make sure everything's correct. The ambiance is nice, nothing too special but always clean and bright. The soup dumplings are delicious - I can't say enough about them. And their food is absolutely perfect. I've had a few chicken dishes and the chicken is always crispy, clean, well cooked, and never questionable. I love this place and will continue to go as often as possible!! read more

Had a lovely early lunch here today. Owner was friendly and greeting customers. Staff was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious! You order using a tablet at your table so you can see a picture of each dish if you like to order after seeing the dish. We did dim sum for our meal. We had soup dumplings (well made and so tasty!), pan fried pork buns (my favorite), egg rolls, beef in scallion pancake, and seafood dumplings. All were well made and at reasonable price. The restaurant was very clean and fresh. Will definitely be returning for another visit! read more

The place is super busy but the service and servers were exceptional and attentive. We place our orders on a tablet which is different. You do have to order in stages otherwise we get the food all at once. But it is fun The food comes out fast and hot. The soup dumplings are probably the most delicious I've had ever had. Dropped by DD Soup Dumpling house & Hibachi in Jericho Long Island for quick bite, the reception booth person was very friendly and attentive to what type of seating we requested. Since we did not have a reservation due to being a Saturday usually busy, all guests were seated immediately. The waitstaff was very attentive for what refreshments were needed and were brought out very quickly after we put in the request. The ordering of dishes was very easy using a table screen with pictures and icons. The waitstaff can be requested to order food without using the tablet. The food was brought out in the proper order as requested and the food was piping hot and very fresh. We spent about 30 minutes finishing the dishes and paying the bill electronically on the tablet was quick and very easy to close out the bill. We were very satisfied with the meal and would definitely come back soon. Very highly recommended for the fresh soup buns and Asian fusion dishes. 5 stars for service and food. read more

I took my wife here for her birthday. The tables were close together, all were full, and it was loud. Oh, but the food! We ordered 6 different dishes and shared, and every one deserved 5 stars. Everything was cooked perfectly, with fascinating textures and flavors. I've been eating Chinese food for decades, and a couple of the dishes tasted completely new. Moreover, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was fine, especially considering that the place was packed (we did go on a Friday night). I don't leave many reviews, but this restaurant is outstanding. read more

We came in at 2:30 pm for my nephew's 21st birthday. Service was timely and the chef was fun and engaging. Everyone in our group was happy with both their food selections and the service. The only thing I would ask is to have a choice of soup for the hibachi appetizer. A clear mushroom soup might be more favorable. Don't know how to feel about my garlic chicken wings that did not taste like garlic chicken wings -plus there was rice inside the container with the wings. I feel like the wings was from someone else plate and they added it to my order. The ambiance was good nice restaurant - greeted at the entrance well everyone else but me. Overpriced and the most bland hibachi we've ever had. We tried 2 other non-hibachi dishes also and they were medorice at best. We told the chef and manager that the chicken for one dish is undercooked and they didn't apologize or offer any solution. I would avoid this place. read more

Nice atmosphere. You order and look at the menu on a I-pad. They do have a paper menu though and a waitress does come and confirm your order. The pork soup dumplings and the pork and shrimp shumai were very good. The beef and broccoli was plain and nothing different than other places. It's next to impossible to find someone to give you the check and then pay! I would definitely go back though cause the menu is huge and want to try more things. read more

I was in the mood for soup dumplings and this place did not disappoint. It was juicy and flavorful. I also had the beef with noodles with chili sauce. That hit the spot. They are generous with the beef and the beef stock was delicious, just the right amount of chili sauce so you can taste it but not overbearing. First time eating at this restaurant. The food was great and pricing was competitive. Service was the issue as they were very disorganized and hectic. It was difficult to get anyone's attention to ask questions about the menu. They just sit you down at a table, put a table tablet in front of you and walk away. Nobody explains that you have to order through the tablet, the information on the tablet doesn't tell you what else you get with a meal. Additionally, we never got two of the appetizers that we had ordered so we had to make sure that they took those off of the bill. I understand that it was a Friday night, but they've been open long enough to be able to staff properly. I would go back but certainly not on a Friday night. read more

This place never disappoints. Most places that do a combination of Chinese and Japanese fill it both, but this place is on point with each type of cuisine. There's sushi super fresh. Went here with some friends and was able to try a bunch of different dishes. We started with the pork dumplings, spicy pork dumplings, and chicken soup dumplings. They were all great, but the spicy pork was my favorite. Next we had the orange chicken, shredded beef, and garlic pork. I wasn't a huge fan of the pork, but the chicken and steak were delicious. The fried rice and lo mein were nothing special. We finished the meal with a variety of desserts... none of which stood out to me, but they weren't bad. Overall the dumplings and entrees were delicious. The restaurant was super crowded so they're definitely doing something right. I would go back to DD again. It honestly deserves more of a 3.5, but since the main dishes were good and the service was good, I'll round up to 4 instead of down to 3. read more
