Prices are inexpensive. Great clearance racks!! Long lines but employees are always in great moods and laughing. My only complaint are the obnoxious and rude shoppers blocking the aisles with there carts. One guy had his cart sideways blocking the main aisle. DD's Discounts is a great place to go when you're looking for a cute affordable outfit or anything with an inexpensive price. I live very close by so whenever I have extra money in my wallet I stop by to see what they have. I have been here very numerous times. I usually come here with my boyfriend, we walk around and he looks at clothes I pick out and share our opinions about them. Usually when you step inside there's a security man/woman standing on the side and depending on your bag (if it's considered big) they will give you a ticket and put it on a rack with other bags where you can pick it up after you go shopping. I wouldn't recommend you bring name brand purses or bags just in case because you could never know what could happen to them while you're shopping. Clothes are very inexpensive and cheap, when you try them on in the fitting room, there will be a lady there who will tell you to hang the hangers of your clothes on the pole so she can check that you didn't hide clothes in between the hangers and she'll give you the number of clothes you'll try on. the make up is always great to look at as they have a big variety and make up tools. Hair straighteners/curlers usually cost around $20 I bought a curling wand a year ago and it still works great! I just recently bought an elf make up brush set and a very cute eye shadow palette with nude based colors that came in with a smooth running black eye liner. (What a deal!) My boyfriend and I would try on hats and look at the work out aisles, they were great too! They had cute exercising gloves and weights. I recommend this place to anyone, it's really nice that it's next to CVS and Dollar Tree because you have a variety of places to stop by as well and if you're hungry you can stop by Mc Donalds a few stores down to eat. read more

This is a great discount store. Being that it is Christmas time this store was a mess when I was here last night at about 9:00 pm. The line was hecka long...went from the cash register all the way to the back of the store and then it took a left turn along the back wall....cRAzy! I was going to buy some warm and fuzzy pajama bottoms for my son priced at about $7.99 but no way was I going to stand in that long a$$ line for some cheap a$$ pajamas. The long line of people screamed out "Christmas Shopping". The look on their face snarled out, 'I'm standing in line cuz the price is worth it' and I don't give a f**k'. The clothes, shoes, bags, etc are fairly cheap in price here in comparison to other stores but keep in mind they are also cheaply made and look cheap as well. I was going to give this train wreck of store two stars but because there were hecka people in line I've changed my rating to three stars. A line 30 to 50 people speaks volumes. So even though the store looked like it had been hit by a train people were loving something about it that they were willing to wait in a long winded line and for that simple fact I bumped up the rating. read more

The place is lovable as it's affordable and reasonable for many. I've been here ones before so I came back. However, my second visit wasn't as first. The store was the same and people were nice and all BUT POOR costumer service.... Employee pushed past me as I was walking with no words exchanged. Thought someone was in rush and shrugged it off. As I got to cashier it just got worse. I understand Spanish well and I understood all word exchanged between the employees. Thought it was probably bad day at work and I looked past it again because everyone has a bad day. When making payment it was a different story. I tried to be on my best behavior and I was....... but miss in the register forgot her manners. My friends were in shock because when we work we treat every costumer with respect and attention. I didn't say none, and walked out. Just wanna say, if you ain't ready to work. DONT. WORK. Out of all the DD's I've been to (I have 4 children...this is the place to shop to afford clothing all of them) this one is most definitely the best! It's a lot cleaner, they let the kids use the restroom and you can actually get the cart through the store. Maybe because it's in a nicer area of town. This is the worst place for customer service. Staff never smile, came to return the item but I have to wait more than half hour. The person who is buying they are the first priority. I believe so. I was on line for return, at least 7 people came and purchase and left. Attendees Angeles and angelica were so rude. Feel like never come back again. I understand if there are many customers on line but there is no one once I went. They were helping other in register. I love DD's for their prices! Bare in mind, it IS A HIT N MISS kind of store. Meaning, you have to work and dig and search for the hidden gems amongst alot of cheap, subpar clothing! But there are alot of great deals on jrs clothes, plus size, etc ! I dont like the thin, cheap polyester clothes. I dont like that their customer service SUCKS/ NON EXISTENT. They dont have a public restroom. Typical hood store. But I am a pro shopper , do I appreciate them. Its fun; the challenge!Just shop during daylight, because the freaks come out at night. I love these guys. Seriously. Not only are the deals spectacular (they get marked down from ROSS prices, Woohoo!), but their inventory is always changing, so there's always something new when I get in. I have never had a problem with the staff here, they are always friendly and willing to chat a little when you ring them up. The security staff is really nice when I have bags from other stores, they keep an eye on them and, hey, I don't have to carry bags while I'm shopping so that's a plus. Though the kids section is always a mess, they have great toys for the youngsters, and I don't think I have ever left empty-handed. They can have some great artwork and home decor as well, plus I have never gotten away with buying new sheet sets this cheap. Love them, definitely check it out! read more

The customer service at this place SUCKS. There is a tall, slim, dark-skinned chick with a stubby pony tail who always has an attitude and twists her face into the ugliest expression EVER. Not very pleasant. One day, I bring my purchases to the counter and she doesn't even acknowledge me standing there after I waited 20 minutes in line. She begins counting her drawer and looks at me and asks me if there is problem. Immediately, I ask to speak the manager. Tracy, the assistant manager, comes to the counter without hearing what I had to say and immediately takes the side of her employee saying that she is doing what she is supposed to be doing by counting her register even while several customers stood in line. I merely tried to explain that it would have been nice if the employee acknowledged that there was a line and asked us to continue being patient, but the very unprofessional anf ghetto Assistant Manager kept cutting me off in mid sentence. I decided to leave the items at the counter and shop across the street at Ross. Today, I decided to try this place again since the bargains are superb. I tried on several items and when I left the fitting room, the attendant was putting away clothes, so I hung up the remaining items and number ticket and left the fitting room. The attendant then says: "Ma'am, I need to count the items in your hand." I become annoyed but decide to count them for her and walked off to continue shopping. Then out of nowhere, the Store Manager, Ray, approaches me and explains that it is the job of the fitting room attendant to count the merchandise. I asked the reason for him approaching me since I counted the items for her before leaving the fitting room. I ended his spiel by showing him the remaining items. This place sucks. We shopped for half an hour and bought many things but they will not allow us to use their restrooms. The staff rudely told us that the restrooms are not available even for customers and basically told that they do not care even if we stop coming to the shop but they will not allow us to use the restrooms I heared the same experience from a lady I met in the store. Her kids wanted to use the restroom badly but the store wouldn't allow it. Poor lady had to leave the store immediately The place is filthy and completely disorganized. The discounts were ok but its not worth the trouble in searching for items, specially with a full bladder which they will not allow you to empty. read more

If you don't like this DD's go to the one off of Saratoga Avenue in Cupertino or Campbell - I know you take 85 all the way to Saratoga Avenue. Make a left off the turn off and keep going straight. It's kind of hidden but it will be on your right hand side. Also in this area you will find a really nice Big Lots (off of Campbell Avenue) also in the same area as Big Lots you will find a nice Dollar Tree and a decent Goodwilll across the street behind the bank. Just in this one vacinity you can hit up all 4 stores. They are clean and nice. Oh - and also there's another really really really nice DD's off of 880 and Misson Blvd in fremont. Now this is what I call a double whammy! Go down Mission Blvd as if you were going to Stockton but before you get to the other freeway - DDs and Ross will be on your left hand side. Yes both stores are side by side. Across the street from the Safeway. I couldn't believe it. I came back late from fishing in Stockton and drove back over here to shop. I was in heaven. Plus you can get a Jamba Juice because they're in the same plaza. You will not be dissapointed folks. If you would like to know all the DD's location on this side of the bay - let me know. I like DD for their scrubs. They have a wide variety from generic brands to Greys anatomy and dickies. Because this is a discount store they rotate stock so different brands at different times. So far the scrubs I got has lasted me a few months with no problems ( such as tearing, wear and color fading) and I got a black pair. Other then that I gave it one extra star bc every time I have gone into this store it's been clean, organized and the staff friendly. read more

Absolutely hated my experience. . . the fitting room attendant was rude, patronizing and unpleasant. She actually asked me to put back all clothes back on hangers when I got dem out of the fitting room to return to her. . . She said it is store policy & if it is this is totally bizarre, if I am supposed to rehang their clothes why is she even there? They have the worst customer service. When you asked for the manager you get one if you try to get the manager again you get another person then to try to get the manager again you get another person. Then you when you refer back to one of the managers you spoke to you were told their brand new. You go in in person you were told that they're brand new person is not brand new.When you call on the phone and talk to the main manager he tells you one thing when you show up in person he tells you something totally different person ,(a flunky) to deal with you. Then when you call on the phone to follow up on your negative experience all you get is poor excuses. I had mentioned to one of the managers about my item that was defective and I was trying to get a replacement the response was, "you know it's a discount store". I said well this isn't used or consider irregulars, her response was "no you know it's a discount store right". I said that's no excuse to have bad customer service and damaged items. So this is a store where you go to find some cheap stuff for local use. Their collection is okay; store is clean. You may find some stuff for very good prices as well. The two stars though are more because the way the lady behaved at counter. We were there to exchange a bed sheet; when we reached to the counter; the lady try to squeeze the bed sheet from all sides; I guess she was trying to see we have not put anything with in the package. And that SUCKS because she just decided to do so in random; tried real hard to find something while pretending she is all good. I love it here, everyone and their momma must shop here, but i don't care. my family needs clothes and they have them all for us at the right prices. they got decent/cute styles if you are able to get there when shipments arrive, or are able to find where people are hiding the clothes at to purchase later lol. it makes me feel good to know even though i'm using my money to pay off bills and stay afloat and be able to save money, i can still feel like i'm rich buying clothes more often then not. read more

I put my used sweater on the cart since its warm inside, I left it together with the rest of the stuff that I'm going to buy, I left it for about 10-15 mins, when I came back, my USED sweater is already gone. I asked the lady manager for help and maybe check the CCTV, she rudely responded, YOU WANT ME TO CHECK YOUR JACKET on the pile of clothings?! I can't believe there was once an Alberson's here! It is a clean, well-lit discount store. I went in there on a mission to buy baby clothes, and I found many cute little oufits for less than $10, and most were about $5.99. I briefly looked at the men's clothing and didn't see one thing I'd buy any of the men in my life, and some of the ladies clothes were cute, but like other yelpers have said, not in style. All employees were cheerful and willing to help when I went in. Would only go there again for the childrens clothes. read more

I went to DD's for the first time 2 days ago because I thought I might find something for a party I was going to the next day, I looked through the racks and found few things to try on, we went to the fitting rooms and like all 7 year olds my son decides he has to use the restroom at that moment, the clerk said, " We don't have bathrooms." I asked my son if he could hold it while I tried on the clothes he said he could. I hurried to try the things on and as soon as I walked in the fitting rooms a HORRIBLE odor of sweaty feet and wet dog, I just hurried so I could get out of there as soon as possible. I found a nice sweater for myself and something for my baby and I walked to the front of the store to pay and then I saw the line, there were 5 people ahead of me and only 2 registers open. I don't understand how they can run a business that way what got on my nerves even more that every 5 minutes a lady would get on the overhead speaker and tell everyone that it was almost 9:00 and the store would be closing. Even that sounded unprofessional, I waited in line and paid for my things. I walked out of that store and vowed to myself I will NEVER set foot in this AGAIN! I read more

Because even though they had some cute stuff for cheap, some of the colors looks like you got it out of your grandma's closet. I saw some shirts that were like mustard yellow.
