I'm blessed to have this ramen place down the street from me. I love going solo for a quick lunch. Their lunch special pricing is a bonus. Great staff.

Food 8/10 Quite surprised by how much I enjoyed the ramen. The miso ramen had a relatively thicker broth, nicely portioned chashu, eggs, bamboo shoots, and a thicker noodle. Usually, I prefer thinner noodles and light broth, and despite this bowl being the opposite, I enjoyed my meal. The agedashi tofu was also not bad, but not the best I've had Atmosphere 7/10 A very standard ramen shop interior. They had these electronic kiosks for ordering, which reminded me of Asia. Service 8/10 Efficient.

I have ordered takeout here before but this was my first time doing dine-in for dinner with my boyfriend. It's a very intimate setting with cool Japanese lanterns and lighting above head. Would not recommend for large groups but for 2-4 people would be great since it's a quiet and low key setting. No reservation needed at dinnertime Friday night but it was almost full when we walked in, no wait. We ordered the signature Tamashii ramen, unagi don and the okonomiyaki. Everything was delicious! Broth was flavorful. Portion sizes were good and the service was very quick. They also kept refilling my water frequently. Since I drink tons of water when I go out to eat, I definitely appreciate the attention to that during the meal. Great intimate place for date night or catching up with friends. It's a lively enough vibe with upbeat music but quiet enough to have a conversation with those around you.

Ahhh man the hype about the ramen here is very true!!! Kin ramen is my favorite ramen spot in NYC but after trying Tamashii mannnnnnnn idk they might be neck and neck! The Ramen was sooooooo good awww man i really hope it's consistent here because im coming back!

Ambiance is awesome! Very warm and cozy :) Wait staff is attentive and always filled up our glasses of water. Takoyaki Verdict: Good! A little heavy on the batter but lots of good flavor, the lemon is a must! Miso Ramen Verdict: Good! The pork was delish but wish we got a little more :( noodles were perfect! Nice and chewy!! The ground meat on the bottom was ok. Overall great experience! Would go there again but would order different things from the menu.

Slightly better than Tamashii Blue, its counterpart in LIC. The broth is a little thicker and tastier. Noodles are classic thin round ramen noodles. Chashu was tender and fatty. Service was quick and nice. Busy atmosphere with a warm vibe but we were seated quickly without a reservation on a weekend.

Delicious ramen that has decent portion and reasonable price in the area. We went there for dinner and service was quick. You can also get beer, sake as you wish. I got the ramen with spicy miso soup and it was better than I expected- miso not overpowering the spice. The ambiance is nice for hanging out and catching up with friends as it's not noisy. Would go again!

Located right in the center of busy Austin Street, this gem was a great choice for delicious and filling ramen at very affordable prices. Before you enter, you'll find yourself staring at the wooden, cozy storefront that screams "comfort food". To start off, we had the kara-age and takoyaki which were good with a drizzle of lemon. However, the main star was my kara miso ramen with pork, which had a hearty miso soup base with a dab of spice sauce. There are also non-pork options such as the seafood yaki bowl, which my friend had. Despite the full house on a friday evening, the service was great and very attentive. We left with a full stomach and a warm soul. Highly recommend :)

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki. I asked for my extra spicy and it was the absolute PERFECT amount of spice.

Since visiting NY, this is the ONLY restaurant we've gone to twice. We loved it the first time and it was even better the second time. The food is outstanding. The woman who works there, I'm guessing she's the owner is so nice. Upon entering, you're immediately seated and given enough time to look through the extensive menu. We never felt rushed, but the food comes out super quick. The restaurant is small, but doesn't feel cramped. The bathrooms are clean and cutely decorated. I really wish we lived in Astoria so we could frequent Tamashii Ramen regularly.

Very quick service I do highly enjoy here. The ambiance is very nice as well, many pictures of the food menu items hanging on the walls. Surprisingly, I was shocked by the overwhelming menu. Usually ramen restaurants I tend to go to only have so many items, so that's a plus. However, I only rated a 3 due to the food. It was very delicious however I feel that it lacked flavor. Even the additional chili oil was giving a sesame flavor. However my palate is different from others so I will still recommend to those who are trying ramen for the first time.

Tamashii Ramen is a cozy and welcoming restaurant. I loved the Ramen experience. My daughter had the Tamashii Ramen and I had the Curry Ramen. the curry flavor was just right. It was lite and so delicious, with bite size fried chicken and veggies. I will definitely be back soon. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. The staff were so nice, I say 10/10 for overall excellent service and food.

It didn't have anything that I felt set it apart/did better than any other place Kaa rage Chicken a tiny bit on the dry side. Flavor is good Sauce is great flavor with the micro greens and chicken. Wish there was a bit more of it. Shoot potato Potato texture could be done a bit longer seeing how it was called fried on the menu when it's more like tater sized cut potatoes. Could be a bit softer on the inside. But with the mayo, the texture is actually good the way it is. The potato is pretty bland and the mayo makes up a bit for it but not by much. The mayo isnt my favorite type of flavor so it's kinda just okayish With the nori flavor/furikake and the mayo, it ends up almost tasting and feeling like a fish and chips with white fish Taku sando Yuzu ginger ale. The drink is pretty good ginger ale and yuzu flavor works so good together. But as it sits it doesn't taste as good Spicy goma miso tastes very peanut buttery and creamy Banban chicken ramen also tasty very but buttery. But after that first sip, it loses a lot of flavor.

Although close to other tables, when I dined there was no one nearby. There is also bar seating in the front. Service (5/5): I came on a weekend night at 7:30p and there was no wait. Tonkotsu ramen (5/5): Pro move: ask for the thicker noodles (pic is original dish of thin noodles) This was a superb bowl of ramen! The broth is very umami with tons of depth, flavors, and creaminess. Noodles are the straight kind which has a little less bounce than I usually like but still plenty portioned to enjoy. The bowl comes with a lovely half soft boiled egg. The two large pieces of pork char sui were great--tender and flavorful. Reasonably priced bowl at $18 with some additional toppings like wood ear mushrooms, bamboo, green onions, and narutomaki. Definitely coming back here again to try their other bowls!! Pork belly buns (5/5): If you are already getting the pork belly in the ramen, this can be skipped since it's the same meat. However, the sauce was good and the meat is tender. Crab croquette (4/5): It tasted fresh and consistency of a normal croquette-- crunchy on the outside with a softness from potato on the inside. The light panko seasoning was a nice touch. It also comes with a small side of salad. Wagyu (5/5) - thin pieces of wagyu were very fresh and flavorful. The broth feels very soothing and lighter as it was but not as rich as the tonkotsu. I loved the pickled cucumber and cabbage. The thick noodles are perfectly bouncy and chewy. Shoyu Duck (4/5) - Light broth as I did not taste the undertones of duck in the broth.

OK. This won't take long. Fabulous…read more Fabulous meal and fabulous service tonight (Sunday). Three of us came at 6:30 pm and were promptly welcomed. I ordered the Dinner sushi combination D - tuna, salmon and white tuna. It came with a not-so-small small garden salad in a decent dressing. One of my table mates got the Bento box with teriyaki salmon and the other got two rolls (Spicy Girl and Cucumber, Avocado, Jalapeño and Scallion). We also ordered a shrimp shumai appetizer (six small, tasty shumai in the serving). Everything was delicious. And the service was outstanding. To be honest, initially we thought we were being rushed because the server came by repeatedly to remove empty plates and the wrappers from our chopsticks - but we quickly realized that this was really extremely attentive and great service. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were refilled numerous times and we were not rushed at all. After our leisurely meal, we ordered a Green Tea Mille Crepe and an order of fresh fruit. The crepe was very good, although the topping of green tea was a bit thick for us and we scraped it off and ate the rest. The fruit was fresh and delicious. We truly felt very welcomed and valued as customers here. We didn't drink anything other than water, so our bill was only about $100 (before tip) for the 2 hours we were there, but even as we left we felt valued by the serving staff and sushi chefs. Firstly, we had wanted to dine in the honey comb booth, so called ahead to reserve one. We didn't know whether a reservation was needed or if we could walk in, but the person on the phone took our name and confirmed our reservation at a specific time on a specific day for a specified number of diners. When we rocked up, we were told that there was no honey comb booth for us. A longer version is that apparently only the two bottom booths are big enough for 4 people but they were both taken. Never mind that as we were leaving, I saw two people in one of those booths. The food? The ramen was mediocre. The omurice was fun to try and the curry sauce was as suitable as their demi glace for it. I wasn't enthused about the bland fried rice for the omurice, though. The popcorn chicken was nice and juicy and stayed that way for the entire meal, which was pleasantly surprising. The pork and chicken yakitori were nice and juicy whereas the beef skirt was overcooked. The braised pork don was on the sweet side but was fine for what it was. The matcha pudding's consistency was closer to a custard than a pudding, but the cream complemented it and the tiny bit of red bean juice actually enhanced the pudding, which would not have been as enjoyable on its own. I doubt I will return, but I wish them well and hope they continue to improve.

Once "dinner" hours comes around, they set out candles on the tables and dim the lights for a different ambiance. The service was a bit off at first, since we waited a while to get our appetizers. The kyuri has a good bite to them -Kimchi Mushroom: the mushrooms also had a good bite to them. Not too spicy of a kimchi sauce, which I liked as it did bot overpower the mushrooms. -Shishito: I enjoyed the saltiness of the kelp with the char of the shishito. I like the lemon on the side to help cut some of the richness. The egg is well marinated and perfectly jammy. The Hassaku Grapefruit Juice is a nice non alcoholic option. Very grapefruity and too sweet. We ended with the Tokyo Banana, which had a deliciously bruleed banana. They wrote Happy Birthday on the plate and had a little candle on the side. Service (4/5): There was only one server bustling back and forth. She did a great job in getting orders, refilling waters, and closing out for just her. There were times we had to flag her down. Spicy chicken wings (5/5): Perfect exterior skin crunch with not too much breading. The sauce was light and not overpowering. Deluxe (5/5) and TanTan (5/5) were both very flavorful. Slightly preferred the Tan Tan more because it had a kick and more spice. I requested some extra chili oil for the Deluxe to give it a little more flavor. However, I felt like the broth was too salty. Pork slices were thin was flavored through with not too much fat to the pieces, so it wasn't tender or rich. I love the bounce and chew of the noodles. Definitely one of the better ramen shops in the neighborhood.

However, its tiny dining room often means long wait times and limited seating. The signature chicken paitan broth is slow-cooked for 8 hours to create a rich, creamy, and flavorful milky soup. Locals highly recommend the Kuro ramen (featuring rich black garlic oil) and the Deluxe ramen. They also serve a highly rated Veggie Miso. Appetizers shine here. The Garlic Edamame and Takoyaki are fan favorites, and the Chicken Karaage is a must-try. Authentic and cozy. The space is incredibly small with limited seating and does not offer outdoor dining. Expect long wait times for a table during peak dinner and weekend hours. This food place that offers delicious savory broth paired with springy, bouncy noodles is definitely worth a try.
