The bushes, hedges, and mainly the 100+ foot trees needed some serious work. They handled it great and took care of the neighbors properties too. I didn't have to walk through it all each day, it just got done and done to what I think is the right way. They put plywood where it's necessary to protect things and are careful when limbs drop. You can't even tell that they were here besides the yard, trees, and the property, looking great. It was a multiple day job, each day they all were nice, worked hard, and got it done efficiently. Everything they cut looks natural and not just trimmed without care like our other guys, it seemed very selective and not willy nilly. They all went above and beyond what we expected. They were not the cheapest option, but Javier seemed knowledgable, trustworthy, and like he could handle the job from the get go and estimate. I asked for severe trimming of an olive (they are quite resilient) and moderate trimming and thinning of our Live Oak in Altadena so as not to overhang on the neighbors and backing them away from the main house for fire mitigation. We are also planning on a new roof and solar installation. Ivo Navarro came on time to meet with me. Very courteous, professional, informative and answered all of my questions. He was very particular about the live oak and ensuring to not harm it in anyway (this is an exceptionally old and large Coastal Live Oak). It is very evident that he cares about trees and wants to ensure the trimming leaves the trees healthy and with a natural look. The crew arrived on time. They all had their safety equipment on. They were very careful to ensure your property is protected by removing (and later replacing) things on the walls, potted plants, patio furniture as well as protecting the chicken coop! Then they placed boards against the nearby windows to protect them. The crew used manly manual tools (which I like - so did the dog and the neighbors) and did use a chainsaw a few times for bigger limbs. With the delays of the city over the past year, the city would not accept the "aged" report and asked for a new one. When we called James and asked him to revisit the site and update the report, he claimed that it would cost about the same as the original report. Alt nothing has changed at the property, while waiting for permits from the city, James said it would take even longer to issue a report as he would have to explain any changes from the first report (although the city refused the original report and NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE PROPERTY) We decided to reach out to other companies for a competitive price and obtained a price for a totally new report nearly 65% of-this company's price. Now remember, there is no issue of quality of the report as both companies just issue a report on the trees on s and there is no "good" or "bad" repor and hardly any justification for the inflated price and same price for updating the report. Anyway, the conversation with James was far from "giving a dam" about a customer; we paid him over $3k for the report and will now have to pay a little over $2k for a brand new one. Either way, I would never use their services again and suggest that you do the same.
