Wow! Went to have a nice lunch and when we were served burnt chips my sister asked if we could have different chips because the ones we had taste burnt. Quote... their free?!? This was an amazing place to come for lunch! Me and my family stopped by for a good lunch after a hike and we absolutely loved all of the food. I've been trying to find a good Mexican place in Spokane since moving over from the west side of the state. I've even started asking local servers where their favorite places are. Our waitress at a different place raves about De Leon's tacos so of course we had to check it out. One of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. We had to go get a server because no one was assigned to us. We tried to flag someone down and they literally brushed and waved us off. Our orders either never came, were wrong, or were very bland. Then at the end they tried to charge us for the food they forgot to even give us. Very sad experience since my mom was in town for Mother's Day weekend and treating us. I felt so bad. Bottom line: bad service and bland food. Will not return. read more

Really have been wanting to try De Leon's for a bit now and we finally had the chance to check it out. It was early, around 1130 on a Saturday, not much going on crowd wise; could have been COVID all together. We ordered right away and our waitress was very sweet. I am a taco girl, so I went for the 3 tacos. I was a little disappointed, I am sorry to say. I guess I expected pan fried tacos goodness from all the pictures. I ordered chicken and it was very bland and little flavor. But, I added some salt and moved on. My partner in crime had a burrito and was on the dry side. Maybe it was an off day for the kitchen crew, so we will definitely give them a second try. Prices are great and the restaurant was very clean. Hope to see them again soon. read more

Went here with my partner and in-laws to celebrate Father's Day on 06/18/2023. The food was good and on par with what I expect from any other De Leon's location. I ordered the house salad with chipotle dressing and grilled skirt steak. It was tasty and the steak was grilled to perfection. I was a little confused as to why there was no queso fresco on it as the menu stated there would be cheese on it. But at that point, I hesitated to ask for a correction as it had already taken an extra ten minutes for the waitress to bring my food and my SIL's food after the rest of our party was served. The server seemed to be struggling, despite there only being about six tables occupied in the restaurant. I'm guessing they were understaffed due to the holiday. She did bring us all we requested, it just took somewhat longer than expected. Also got a virgin piña colada. The piña colada was quite large, which I appreciated. My partner ordered the huckleberry margarita and said it was pretty heavy on tequila which sort of canceled out the huckleberry flavor. The restaurant has plenty of seating inside and out. Very clean and family friendly. The patio seems like it would be pleasant on a sunny day. It is set back enough from Hamilton that the traffic does not seem like it would dampen the experience. read more

I visited this place today and asked the manager if I could bring my little dog. I pointed he was trained and a service animal. The manager asked if my dog had the tags I said yes but I did not bring them. He yelled at me and said that everybody's excuse now is that their dog is a service animal. I was upset and told him that I resented him for calling me a lier. After that, I left. I don't recommend this place to anybody, mainly because this man does not have good customer service skills. He should know he not only discriminated against the service animal, but the person to whom that animal belongs. The owner should train his people about what it means to offer great customer service in the USA. Too bad, they lost my business and that of many other people I know. read more

Tastes like all the rest. Big restaurant vibes, if there was a school you could go to learn how to taste like all other big boys, this place definitely went there. I'm sure some people will like this place for it's grandeur if you will, but I feel that it's delusions. It's not that the food is bad, or the service, is just not special at all. Food was yummy. I got the flautas and the girl I was with got street tacos. We both really enjoyed our food. However, our first round of $9 margaritas were weak and not too good, but on the second round we asked for an extra shot and they were much better and they didn't even charge us! This has to be the worse take out we have ever experienced!!!! My husband had the hamburger burrito, meat overcooked and totally dry with tortillas dry. I had the Holy Taco, meat totally overcooked with more onions than meat. Also had fish taco, only one shell and fish again overcooked. No napkins, no silverware, we were on the road and didn't discover until we stopped. We went to drive in and they took pity on us and gave us utensils. We had never tried this De Leon's , always went to the one at the north end of Spokane on Division. I came for tacos and was very satisfied with my choice. The shrimp taco with a chipotle sauce was mouth watering, the guisado tacos were perfect at $2.50 each having the pork in Chile Verde and the pork in Colorado sauce, and finally the Holy taco with tender steak strips was a perfect street taco. The place was hopping but we were not in a rush, would recommend the place to anyone with a hankering for Mexican Food in Spokane. The restrooms were clean. read more

This place is ridiculously good. They don't smoother the food in sauce, so you're able to taste everything. They are friendly and remember you the next time you visit. The chips are fresh and everything is just so good. I recommend the chimichangas. read more
