This our new favorite place for breakfast in Paradise! Very busy place, but super efficient. We ordered the special omelet with bacon, spinach and Jack cheese. It came with very pleasing country or hash brown potatoes. We chose the country potatoes, they were covered with american cheese. Price for 2 including a beverage was approximately $20. The food is sooooo good. A tiny whole in the wall with not a lot of seating, but really good biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak. Most of the servers are really friendly and try pretty hard. A hidden gem in paradise read more

I don't get it...everyone is always saying how great Debbies is....I have come to the conclusion that they are speaking about their famous pancakes. I had an omelet that I had to send back twice because it was made with processed cheese. When I sent it back, they just put more processed cheese on it...cute little triangles. The food was ok, but the service was not. No happy waiting staff there today just frowns and poor service. Had to flag down a waitress for coffee after waiting a long time, and realizing no matter how many waitresses passed by my table no one was going to refill my coffee that was sitting empty by the table edge unless I asked for it. The service continued like that the whole time, where you just weren't important enough to even get semi service unless you directly got up and asked for it. Will not be returning to that restaurant. I recommend going to the Calico Kitchen and Black Bear diner which are much better and friendlier restaurants in town that make you glad to be there. read more

Upon arrival I was quickly seated, staff were very nice and friendly. I ordered the debbies country breakfast "half size" and instead of potatoes got the "famous" pancake. My food arrived within 5 minutes of me ordering. The gravy wasn't great taste like I was eating flour water with old grease flavoring and the pancake wasn't completely done it was extremely thin but oddly mushy doughy. I didn't even eat the pancake. The waitress took a couple dollars off the ticket without me saying anything. When I asked about the daily specials I was told they really aren't special you only get 30 cents off regular price. I then ordered the turkey melt with fries as I was still starving as breakfast was a half order and didn't eat it all. This too arrived within 5 minutes after ordering. The sandwich was bland no real flavor other then the greasiness from the bread being toasted. Overall the best part of my meal was the tomato and pickle spear that came with my sandwich. Highly disappointed due to the rave on yelp and will not be returning. read more

The food at Debbie's is delicious and generous portions. However the service is horrible. It has gone downhill the past two years. Apparently they just can't find good wait staff. There is a red haired girl who wears dark rimmed glasses who is the worst waitress ever. I have watched her sit at the counter and eat while still trying to wait tables. I have even watched her talk on the phone, then get drinks or food ready for her friend who then showed up and joined her at the counter. We heard she is the owners daughter. We have been regulars for years but after our last visit on Dec 29, we will not be going as much. Many of our friends have stopped going as well because the service is so horrible.. The red haired girl takes forever to wait on us, even when it is not busy. On Sunday she said she would be right back with coffee. I watched as she left our table and chatted with the male waiter (also horrible) , then poured herself some water and went in the back. It took her 7 minutes to finally get around to coming out and refilling our coffee. And if they bring your bill, you can be sure that the service is over. Too bad because the food is good. read more

Good diner food, be careful though they do not accept credit/debit cards. I almost made that mistake but had enough cash to cover the meal.

The food is always good, but it's bad enough they are only open till 2 PM, so when the employees start shutting down 20 minutes before closing time, people feel rushed and that tends to convey an unwelcoming environment. Oh, and they also ran out of gravy, therefore I had to pick something else off the menu. I chose one of the specials, which was a breakfast sandwich, mainly because I was too hungry to go somewhere else. read more

great breakfast. This is a small restaurant. There several booths for just 2 people, but they will add a small table to seat 4. there is counter seating and one small area for larger group. The pancakes are thin and tasty. The bacon has to be the meatiest we have ever had and not stiff as a board like some restaurants. Our only problem is that one breakfast came out way before the other 3. But we caught up quickly. Will return the next time we are in Paradise. read more

This is my husband's and my favorite breakfast place and we go there several times a month. We ALWAYS take our house guests there and they rave about it. Friendly service, great food, reasonably priced. Very special pancakes, omelets are good, and I like the light half a sandwich and soup or salad for a change. Try it. I was pretty unimpressed with the food. My main complaint was what appeared to be the use of Kraft Singles as the cheese on my omelet. All other breakfast places I've been to use regular cheese. It seems a bit cheap of them to use fake cheese. There's something about the consistency of imitation cheese that makes me a little sick. I scraped off as much as I could, but I wish they would've mentioned that on the menu. Service was ok, but nothing remarkable. I've paid less for far better. I would go to any other breakfast location in Paradise before returning to Debbie's. read more

Nice place to enjoy good food. Nothing fancy, just good food and great service. Sometimes the wait can be long especially Sunday afternoon.

Debbie's is a regular place for us. It's the best breakfast and lunch diner in town, hands down. I like the thin style pancakes, and the omelettes are always cooked just right, never over or under cooked. Their coffee is good for regular coffee, better than the standard diner fare. read more

I have never had such a horrible experience at a restaraunt before in my entire life. After supporting Debbie's consecutively for the last three or four years, I will Never step foot in there again. I brought a guest this morning and our two young daughters for a nice meal, and Instead got the most judgemental, disrespectful, horrendous waitress you could ever imagine. Huffed and puffed over a spilled soda, covered the spot with paper towels and began vigorously stomping on the spill spot than didnt offer a refill to my friend after she continuously apologized about spilling her drink and got zero response. Comes back over with her order pad and bad attitude to ask "so are you ready to order yet" when we say we could use a few more minutes, just walks away. Comes back and again asks "now are you ready to order" so as we are ordering a man goes to walk into the bathroom, and two of the four chairs that were at our table that the other waitress had replaced with highchairs (as we requested) were sitting in front of the bathroom door. The man asked if the bathroom was open, and in the middle of us ordering our food, stops and tells him "yeah they're open, I guess these girls decided to just set the chairs right in front of the door!" Considering we took no part in where the chairs ended up to begin with, HOW RUDE! It gets better. She finished writing down our order and does not say a word and prances off. At this point im disgusted and p***** o**. I go to the counter and politely ask if we can change our order to go. Waited a bit for the food to be done, decided to clean up our table on my own and replace the highchairs back with the regular chairs and pick up the few snacks our daughters dropped on the ground, since clearly cleaning up usual restaraunt spills was a judge deal to them. Go up to pay and request that my friends meal be deducted from our ticket. With an attitude she responds "why!?" So I explained the above and how innapropriate her reaction to a spilled soda was, ect. after smirking and arguing with me me, she removed my friends meal charge. I decided to use one of two fixed value visa gift cards I had on me, a $15 one and a $50 one, by accident (because accidents happen often) handed her the $15 one and it declined with the total being above the amount obviously. She literally chucks my card over the counter at me all pissy and as loud as she can says "well this is declined!!!" How unprofessional! I give her the correct payment, sign my receipts and she snatches up her copies, throws them in the till drawer and walks away. I grabbed my food, and thanked the chef for cooking (its obviously not thier fault the waitress was so rude.) She decides to yell "thanks" in a sarcastic tone as I'm walking out.
