I called B&B for what turned out to be a minor toilet tank issue -- essentially a failed gasket/seal. When I paid the bill that day, I questioned the charge and asked the technician about the two-hour minimum and why a simple toilet gasket/seal repair was over $300. The final amount was $330.86. I understand paying for professional service, travel time, and labor, but for this type of repair, the charge felt excessive. Unless the gasket was made of gold, I still do not understand how that price made sense. The problem did not end there. I paid the invoice by credit card on the day of service. I then sent a written concern asking that the issue be forwarded to company leadership. After that, I had multiple communication problems. The prior contact I had used was no longer with the company. The general email path did not work. I had to keep chasing the issue instead of anyone at B&B simply handling the concern professionally. Then, instead of receiving a meaningful response to my concern, I received a generic accounts receivable statement showing the same invoice as still owed -- even though it had already been paid by credit card on the day of service. The statement included aging / late-fee / collection-type language. I had to call B&B to get them to confirm that the invoice had, in fact, already been paid. So to recap: I questioned the excessive charge at the time I paid it, followed up in writing, had trouble getting through the right channels, received a generic billing statement on a paid invoice, and then had to chase them again to correct their own billing mistake. The call I had with accounting did not help the experience. The invoice was eventually confirmed as paid, but the call ended abruptly and without even a normal customer-service closing. That may sound minor, but in context it fit the entire pattern: poor communication, poor escalation, and a customer experience that felt careless. B&B's website talks about integrity, customer focus, transparent processes, clear communication, respectful interactions, and courtesy. That was not my experience. This was not just about a $330.86 toilet gasket/seal repair. It was the combination of the high charge, the two-hour minimum, the lack of clear handling when I raised the concern, the broken communication path, the incorrect billing statement after payment, and the poor follow-through afterward. I will not be using B&B Plumbing again. And.... wrote into management - and asked for a call back, nothing, no reply, nothing. Cheers.

I called him regarding a slow flushing toilet, and he shared what I thought was an outlandish theory over the phone. Still, he was one of very few who took the time to explain, ask questions, and provide a possible answer. Most plumbers would probably just hurry to make an appointment to charge for their visit. He took his time to do all of this. When he came out, he was courteous, on time, and communicative about his arrival time. He explained what needed to be done, went above and beyond in explaining the issue he found to this curious customer, and confirmed that the "outlandish" theory he had was actually correct. Pretty cool. Honestly, I have no idea whether the price he charged was the best out there - but I will tell you that it was fair, and that's all I can really ask for. He was out here for a good while, doing a thorough job, and instead of shortcutting the last step, wanted to do it right by sending someone back the next day. I know who I'll be calling the next time I have any sort of plumbing issue.

He was extremely personable, understanding, and genuinely compassionate. After seeing the condition of my water heater, he carefully assessed the situation to determine if there was any way to save it. Unfortunately, it had reached the end of its life and needed to be replaced. Since it was Friday morning, Robert went above and beyond by asking my home warranty company if they could expedite the authorization so I wouldn't have to go the entire weekend without hot water. When the warranty company asked if he could simply provide the replacement tank himself, he was completely honest and reminded them that doing so would likely cost them more. I really appreciated his integrity. He promptly sent them everything they needed, including photos and videos, to help move the approval process along. Throughout the visit, Robert took the time to explain exactly what was happening, what to expect next, and answered all of my questions before he left. Thankfully, the replacement was approved the same day. The Pro-Connect office staff was just as impressive. They kept me informed every step of the way, letting me know when the authorization was received, explaining that the warranty company would issue a purchase order to Lowe's, and walking me through the pickup and installation process. They even let me know that Robert was finishing another job in La Mirada but had made arrangements in his schedule so he could return the same day to install my new water heater instead of making me wait until after the weekend. Sure enough, Robert came back later that afternoon with the same positive attitude and a smile on his face, even after what had obviously been a long day. He introduced me to Carlos, who delivered the new water heater, and Carlos was also friendly and pleasant. Once the installation was complete, Robert never made me feel rushed. He took the time to walk me through everything he had done, explained the new parts that were installed, showed me the new tank, and talked to me about the safety features to help me feel at ease. From beginning to end, this was one of the best service experiences I've had. Everyone at Pro-Connect Plumbing was professional, honest, communicative, and truly cared about taking care of their customer. I can't thank Robert and the office staff (also Carlos) enough for going above and beyond. After the technician inspected it, his name is Sherveen, he told me that the pump was not working and was leaking. What was extremely concerning to me is that the leak started after he began working on/inspecting the system, even though I had not had this issue before the appointment. He then quoted me $1,200 just to replace a valve, or approximately $5,800 to repair the entire pump system. In my opinion, that price was completely unreasonable, especially when I could consider replacing the entire pump for that kind of money. I told him clearly that I did NOT want to proceed and that I wanted to get another estimate from another company. Instead of simply leaving the system in a safe condition and allowing me to get a second opinion, he repeatedly told me that if I didn't authorize the repair today, my house would get flooded because of the leak. I asked him if he could at least temporarily stop or contain the leak so I could contact another company. He refused and continued pressuring me to make a decision immediately. I said "I don't want to do the repair" over and over again, but they simply would not accept my answer. At one point, their office even called me and gave me a long, confusing explanation that went around in circles and did not actually address my concern. I felt like they were trying to scare and pressure me into approving a very expensive repair instead of allowing me to get a second opinion. A customer should never feel threatened, pressured, or scared into spending thousands of dollars on a repair. I came in expecting a $59 inspection. I left feeling like I was being pressured into an $5,800 repair under the threat that my house would supposedly flood if I didn't do it immediately. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and multiple estimates before agreeing to any expensive repair with this company.
