Finally ordered takeout from this restaurant, after years of passing by it. Ordered tacos (1 of most of their tacos), carne asada fries (well done fries and pico de gallo), and 5 rolled tacos. They met all my requests, which most places do not, so that was great! The lengua taco was the best, and the adobada taco was the least tasty. The carne asada fries were delicious! The rolled tacos were good also. I just really appreciated that they actually fulfilled my requests for well-done fries and for an additional pico de gallo. They also gave us more than enough sauces. The portions were large, yet cheaper than other Mexican restaurants nearby. This was takeout too. I'm sure if I ever ate there, it'd be even better. read more

Tests confirmed I have salmonella poisoning. Hadn't been to any restaurants within 48 hours and any chicken, dairy or produce I had in my household, others are and have had no symptoms. Since it likely came from chicken, then it means they don't store raw chicken properly and/or the hygiene must be horrendous by their employees considering my order contained no chicken. Food was average at best. Their guacamole is an embarrassment as it's soup like. I will never return. I will spread the word to Oceanside locals I know of my experience. This is 100% preventable, and it's disgusting to know their failure is a health hazard. Avoid this place. Burrito's are almost as big as Colima's burrito's but at a cheaper price. We ordered a carne asada burrito, a shredded chicken burrito and some rolled tacos. This was a drive-thru order and the restaurant left out a burrito but we were not charged for it. Our party adapted and made the order work. Employees are very kind and will provide plenty of salsa - just ask. I ordered the carne asada burrito and it was huge. It had a lot of asada, pico and gaucamole. Upon request they added also added sour cream. It was good. Not the best I ever had but a very far cry from the worst. Rolled tacos were well received as was the shredded chicken burrito. I was craving a breakfast burrito this morning. I've passed this place for years. I just never thought to try it. I do have a place I go to all the time... but they open at 8:30 and I have to be at work at 8:00. So I said wtheck... I'll try it. Big mistake! Omg. I got a machaca burrito. Couldn't figure it out definitively. Good stuff though. Opens earlier than most taco shops in the area. The guy taking your order is a super nice guy. Either he always remembers me, or he just greets all customers at the drive through as if he knows them (I think the later). Food was great but prices seem to keep going up up up! I was shocked at the prices when i rolled up to the drive thru, nearly $9 for a California burrito, and that's without any guac or sour cream! I'm pretty sure it's was about $5 just a few years ago, so that's a huge increase. That being said, they're very accommodating and allow you to substitute whichever meat you like, so that was great, and the burrito was huge and tasted amazing. Overall this is still probably the best mexican drive-thru I've ever been to, but I really wish the prices hadn't become so absurdly inflated. So good! Probably the best taco shop I've been to with a drive threw. They have a very large menu with really great choices, at very reasonable prices. The rolled tacos are also the first thing I get, and these did not disappoint. They were very crunchy and had wonderful flavor, the guacamole is also really good! I only wish they would add more toppings like lettuce etc. the nachos are also incredible and HUGE. They have really great deals for the combos as well and give a very large portion of rice and beans that are also delicious. I feel like almost everyone knows about this place, and if you don't, well that's why you're reading reviews. This place in my opinion is most famous for their carne asada fries and nachos. Although, their burritos and plates come in second. The carne asada nachos come with shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, tortilla chips, carne asada, and optional but you can put green or red salsa. Trust me they are mild but I'd opt for the green one if you're sensitive to spice. The carne asada fries are similar expect instead of tortilla chips, it's French fries. These are in my opinion, better than the nachos because you can eat it with a fork instead of your hands. The service is great, the place itself is what you'd expect from a taco shop. I enjoyed my meal but I was also very hungry! The chips were fresh from the fryer, after I added salt, it was delicious! Their pico de gallo wasn't too acidic and it looked very rustic! It might have been made right to order as well. The gentleman at the window was rude, as I stated earlier. They don't provide chips and salsa, it has to be ordered separately. I suppose the gentleman didn't know we ordered it because he said it start out that we didn't but I had my receipt. It was $3.50 for chips and 1/2 pint of pico de gallo.
