A review of this splendid place is long overdue. I live very close to Deiberto's and have nothing but great things to say about the food and amazing staff. I am very picky with my likes and dislikes and let me tell you, I've never, in my year of frequenting Deiberto's, received an order that was wrong or with an item in it that I requested to have left out. I have never left disappointed with an order and although Deiberto's is technically a fast food restaurant, it is apparent that the staff members take their time in preparing each meal, and I feel extremely grateful to have them near. First time I went here I was not happy that I paid over $10 for a California burrito that had only fries, carne & cheese. The reviews here need to be higher! I've been going here since my mom was taking me as a kid! The food here has been above my expectations every time. I recommend the cheese or shrimp enchiladas, the shrimp quesadilla, the 5 rolled tacos is our usual go to, and the chille relleno is my favorite plate to get. Everything is cooked perfectly packed with cheese, sauce, lots of rice, and lots of beans with cheese on top! Even after I'm done eating my plate I have left overs for days and it tastes the same after I heat it up. This is no joke haha! I love how the rolled tacos are made perfectly packed with guacamole, cheese, and sour cream, cooked to perfection. Also the guy who works the drive thru every late night we come, he remembers us, he's so friendly and funny. He makes sure our food is all in the bag and we have all of the extra sauces we need. Been coming year for years!! Always a good time! My food came out quickly ...less than 2 minutes! Again I've been coming here for years...Haven't had too much issue with them. The inside was over cooked too and honestly too tough to even chew so those were a complete bust. Didn't even eat them. The mini tacos were completely flavorless and barely had any pico de gallo and guac. Makes me so sad to give a bad review to this place. I was so excited driving up to this place with all the neon blinking lights. I'm not from Oceanside but always hear about the spectacular Mexican food joints. The drive thru was full and the inside looked just as busy. The menu is long and has many options to chose from which is nice. I was so hungry I kept debating over the carne asada fries or burrito. (Ended up with a burrito.) Once greeted through the drive thru speaker I could tell customer service wasn't there strong point. I kept being asked "anything else?" before I could finish the sentence... I felt very rushed during the order but just continued on. Drive thru flowed quickly. Food portions are legit! Definitely will fill you up and then some. Although we are very white girl basic with the burritos (meat, cheese, guac, and sour cream only) they were really good! Meat was plentiful and the tortilla is cooked well. I enjoyed it as they didn't drown it in cheese or sour cream.. just enough of each and again let me remind you... huge! We also ordered a beef taco, rolled tacos, and carne asada nachos. All the other items were just regular... I'd say nothing too crazy to get hyped over. The chips in the nachos were a little stale and I feel it needed something else.. maybe pico de gallo topping? I came in for lunch when working in the area. I ordered the California burrito and was initially mesmerized by the size, which is the biggest I've seen. However after eating my way through it I have come to find out it is really dry. The tortilla is cooked perfect and not too crispy. However it is only carne, potatoes, and cheese, with most of the burrito being potatoes. I would like to see sour cream, or guacamole in the burrito especially considering the price. From around the globe current and former Oceanside residents come to Deiberto's aka Molcasalsa and we usually get the California Burrito, more simple Gringo and even moreso Carne. Fries, chips, taco's, chimi's, sopas, etcetera. All here, but they are open late, have a drive through, don't skimp on the sauce and are very visible. Now the meat is never crispy, the sauces are creamy and ample, but the fries stay better a little longer, as in their aren't soggy by the time you drive across town. Their sauce which although has some spice is really watery and thus takes more. Almost a pour per bite. The line usually isn't long, because they crank out food like a machine. The area and inside can be a bit unsavory or grimy, but it's on the upper end of Erto's food quality, which is all we really ask for in an Ertos. read more
