This is garlic green beans with prawn, steam rice, shrimp spring roll. Chicken Prik khing.

10/10 super delicious, quality looks great. Spice level 3 had my nose running. Flavors were on point. Prawns are huge. Peanut sauce was good. Enjoyed all of it.

My boyfriend and I came to Dek Thai for dinner on a weeknight. He had gotten takeout here before, but was disappointed by the quality of the chicken and had not been back since. However, we decided to give Dek Thai a second chance and dine in. We were immediately seated upon arrival as the restaurant only had a few diners at the time. There were several customers who popped in to pick up their takeout during our time there. The interior is clean and modern. They have several booths and tables that are well-lit. We ordered: PAD SEE EW with Chicken (4 stars) (+$13.95)- the portion was large, but the sauce was missing some sweetness and was a little dry. It also didn't come with a lot of vegetables. With that said, I'm glad they use the extra wide noodles, unlike many Thai restaurants that have resorted to using chow fun noodles instead. The chicken was cooked well this time and so no complaints there. [note that during a more recent visit, we ordered this dish with 5 star spice and the sauce, flavor, and portion of vegetables were much better than the first time around]. RAMA NOODLES with Chicken (4 stars) (+$13.95)- this dish was our favorite of as it had a large variety of vegetables including napa cabbage and cauliflower, and spinach, which I've never had in Thai noodles before. It also came with your standard star-cut carrot slices. The peanut sauce was nice and creamy and not overly sweet. This dish has the extra wide noodles too which I thoroughly enjoyed. TOM YUM FRIED RICE with Chicken (5 stars) (+$14.50) - the portion was even larger than the noodle dishes. It had strong lemongrass and curry flavor and fresh tomato, green onion, mushrooms, and onion. The rice was moist, but it was quite a heavy and dense dish overall. While it was worth a try, I don't think we'd get this again as it was a bit too sour for our liking (then again, Tom Yum is supposed to be on the more acidic side). Service is good and you can't beat the prices and portion sizes here. Also, neither dish was actually 4 star spicy, and so you can definitely up the star levels here even if you're not into the heat. Based on our most recent visit, I would say a 5 star spice is the equivalent of a 3 or 3.5 star at other Thai restaurants. Overall: 3.5/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

Great, fast, friendly service! Restaurant was clean and inviting with good music setting the tone. Food was delicious and served promptly and properly platted.

I'm a bit torn on this review because my experiences here have been a mix of highs and lows. Ordered takeout from Dek Thai twice, and the Pad Thai was consistently immaculate both times. Perfectly balanced flavors, great texture - it's a dish that hits all the right notes. Unfortunately, the Pad Woon Sen was a letdown. It was overly salty, drenched in way too much sauce (go ahead you'll see it in my photo). The beef was dry, and the noodles were overcooked. Plenty of street parking right out front and all along the SW 152nd St. The restaurant itself was pretty empty when I stopped by, but they seem to stay busy with delivery and takeout orders. If you go, definitely stick to the Pad Thai!

We were greeted and seated. Very friendly and polite. We received our waters and ordered. The iced thai tea & iced green thai tea were both so delicious. Refreshing and perfect sweetness. The fresh rolls and the dipping sauce is delicious. The red curry, stir fried pork belly, crab fried rice and pad thai were all so tasty and yummy. I definitely recommend coming here for good thai food.

I have not visited Dek Thai in person yet, but ordered from here via delivery service. The Tom Yum soup was exactly what I was craving and prepared well. The packaging was sustainable and portion size good. Delicious! Will visit in person next time.

We came to Dek Thai to celebrate and had such a great time. The vibe was really nice -- it felt pretty spacious even though there were other people dining, thanks to how the tables are set up. They had no problem fitting our group of 7, and parking was super easy right out front on the main street. Service was awesome! We got greeted right away, seated, and had our food coming out within 10 minutes of ordering. We got the crab rangoon, chicken satay (the peanut sauce was so good), papaya salad, yum woon sen, crispy garlic chicken (my favorite!), mango curry, and finished with mango sticky rice for dessert. Portions were big -- we had lots of leftovers -- and the prices were great too, around $15 per dish, which made it perfect for sharing. I noticed they were really busy with takeout orders too, which I definitely want to try sometime. We're already planning to come back for another dine-in visit!

    Dek Thai's Fusion Noodle.

My boyfriend and I stopped by for lunch as we wanted to grab lunch nearby as we were in Burien to celebrate our dog's 3rd birthday. They do offer outdoor seating but due to how windy and cold it was, we decided to dine inside. I saw that they have a self-order kiosk as you entered but our server saw us come in and asked if we wanted to dine in or do take out. Once we answered that we wanted to dine in, he escorted us to a booth and brought us menus. I was looking for their lunch specials but saw it was not on the physical menu but I know on their website that they had lunch specials so I inquired about that when our server brought us waters. He politely explained that the QR code menu offered the lunch specials and also showed that they had a limited time special item as well. We went with their pad see ew lunch special with chicken and no spice and their Dek Thai Fusion noodle lunch special with beef and 4 stars. Now as a heads up because on their menu it did not state beef costed more but it was $3 additional. Additionally, their lunch special isn't anything impressive as it was just the entrée with a side of rice but the price is just a few cents cheaper than their dinner prices. I did like their cute dining room and the very simple but cute table décor with little pumpkins or a vase of flowers. The restaurant is very will lit and they have several booths and tables and chairs to accommodate all sizes of parties. I do appreciate that offer chopsticks as a utensil as that's my preference of utensil but they do have forks and spoons available too. Now as we received our food there were four complaints that I had with my order which was: I ordered beef but received chicken, it was not spicy at all, there was no jalapenos, and some parts of my dishes were cold while a majority of the dish was hot. That was very odd and it bothered me as I do not like my food to have multiple temperature differences. I let my server know and he immediately apologized and told me that they would remake my dish. As I tried to hand him my incorrect dish, he stated that we could just have it so I asked for a box to store my future dinner. Once I received my correct dish, there was no issues of temperature problems so I'm not sure why the first dish had that issue. Not sure if they made my dish first and then my boyfriend's? Despite this issue, my boyfriend was quite impressed with his pad see ew and said it was balanced perfectly as it wasn't drowning in sauces or too dry. He even stated that it might be one of his more favorable Pad See Ews he has enjoyed but it is not the best one. I enjoyed my fusion noodles as well as I never had anything else like and I think the sauce was divine. The noodles on both dishes were cooked perfectly as well and the portions were pretty generous. We would love to come back but I am worried about the consistency of the restaurant as other Yelpers have stated that was an issue at this establishment. The service was very good but I would like if our server checked on us a bit more but I also understand as there was some random take out orders and the other table at the restaurant was randomly demanding.

Panang Curry with tofu (also comes with rice).
    Dianna T.

I had a good experience at Dek Thai Restaurant in Burien. The place is easy to get to and there was plenty of street parking in the front. We went for an early dinner, so they weren't very busy. I thought the interior of the restaurant was nice and comfortable. They have plenty of tables and they are spaced far apart. I had the Fresh Rolls (2) which have fresh mixed vegetables, tofu, and small rice noodles wrapped in rice paper and served with peanut sauce. The rolls are huge and the dipping sauce was on point! I also ordered the Panang Curry (curry paste with coconut milk and bell pepper) with tofu. I loved how thick this curry was! I only wish it had a few more tofu pieces (it had a lot of sauce). The portion size was generous and I had enough food for a second meal. It also came with a side of white rice. I enjoyed my food and our server was excellent. I would definitely come here again and maybe try some of their other dishes.

Decent lunch menu $13.50 for among 5 options. Service a little slow because they seem to do mainly delivery. I like the red curry here.

The sugar cane juice was also refreshing and it was just freshly squeezed in front of us. My sister enjoyed her Phnom Penh Kuy Tiew, it had a rich pork broth similar to eating babaw. The Mango Smoothie probably wasn't as fresh though. I didn't taste it but my mom thought it wasn't. Lastly, the beef skewers. They were not as good and seemed a bit old tasting? Parking is readily available along the streets. The Food and Drinks: Beef Loklak Rice Plate, $20 - 5 Stars This is a hardy dish with flavorful pieces of beef, a fried egg, fresh greens, rice, and a bowl of soup. This dish by itself is a substantial meal. With the sides dishes we ordered, half of this went home. Lort Cha or Fried Pin Noodles with prawns, $20 - 4.5 Stars Available protein is seafood or beef. I requested prawns only, which they accommodated. Served with a side of fish sauce in a squeeze bottle, the server said to apply all over the dish. He also said this is his favorite dish. The food has very good wok hei like a Hong Kong noodle dish. I had plenty of noodles left to make a second dinner after adding veggies and protein. Beef Skewers, $18 - 4.5 Stars Five good size skewers with a dallop of pickled veggies. The seasonings are very distinctive. Oddly, the flavor reminds me of some Chinese style beef jerky. In any case, these are smoky, savory, and yummy. Papaya Salad, $16 - 4.5 Stars They use all the real, authentic ingredients here, including bits of tiny baby crabs. Be careful if you have sensitive gums. Sugar Cane Juice, $7 - 3.5 Stars I would think sugar can juice are all quite similar, but they are not. I didn't like theirs as much for some reason. It was a bit murkier. I probably won't order this in the future. Coconut Coffee, $7 - 5 Stars Our server recommended this. Coconut and coffee sound weird together, but this drink is a winner. Very unique, a touch of sweet, potent like a Viet coffee, and very distinctive. Thumbs up. They are probably closer to 4.5 Stars. Rounding up to support a family business.

The sauce choices are also adequate... diluted a bit but they still result in a flavorful dish. One of the things I enjoy is the table of "finishing sauces" that you can add after your dish comes off the grill. Downside, it's not all you can eat, $15 gets you a good size bowl that you can fill as tall as you like and you get 1 protein included. And you can carry out leftovers (I always seem to have e leftovers).

Price Point - There are several meat options served here that are very expensive but we tried it all. My personal favorites were the Spicy Pork Cutlet, the Salmon and Rice Bowl, and the wagyu sirloin skewers. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. For 4 people who ordered a little bit of everything, we spent 140$ That's three appetizers, 2 sides, and 5 main dishes. For special occasions, celebrations, corporate dinners, this place seems like a great option. Now, in regard to the portion sizes. Pretty simple explanation, they do feel a bit small. Lastly, do they have options for children? I would say no but that depends on what kind of food your kids eat Hahha. This is more of an adult restaurant not particular organized for kids meals. Overall, I definitely recommend everyone check this place out. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We lived the experience and would definitely come back if we find ourselves in town again.
