    Air duct hole

Our HVAC system was installed in 2023. When it recently froze up, we called Del-Air for maintenance because there was no air entering the home. We specifically asked if the air ducts had been checked or if there could be a blockage. We were told the air ducts looked good. They unfroze the system and left. We had to call them back when the system froze up again. They inspected it and again said there was no air coming into the home, but told us the system had been fully inspected and that we might need a new HVAC system. We purchased a new HVAC system. It was working at first, but then the brand-new system froze up too. We called Del-Air back. The tech could not find what was wrong other than that there was still no air coming into the home. The new system had to be thawed out. Again, we asked if the air ducts had been checked since there was clearly no airflow from the HVAC system into the home. The tech said he couldn't crawl under the house. We removed the skirting ourselves and crawled underneath. The tech then crawled under and found a hole in the air duct tube running from the HVAC system to the home. Pictures are below. This is where I have a major problem. If this damaged air duct was the reason we weren't getting airflow, it may have saved us approximately $10,000 if it had been found before we were told we might need to replace an HVAC system that was only installed in 2023. The hole is also extremely close to the opening where the new HVAC system was connected. When the new system was installed and the air tube was connected, how was this not seen? Was it overlooked? When a customer calls for maintenance because there is no airflow, shouldn't the full system be checked before recommending such an expensive replacement? We relied on Del-Air to correctly diagnose the problem. Trying to get answers since then has been just as frustrating. I have called multiple times asking to speak with someone and have not received a return call. We were told there would be a $99 service fee to come back out, even though the issue appears to have been missed during the original service calls when we were told the system had been fully inspected. The tech said the duct could potentially be spliced and repaired, but there was no appointment available until the following week. It was in the 90s, and we had no AC for days. I eventually got an appointment for the next day and waited for the tech. When I called because they were running late, I continued waiting another 2 1/2 hours. No one showed up, so I finally canceled. I have left several messages since June and am still waiting for someone to call me back. I have also used their text/AI system and was told this would be reviewed and escalated, but still no response. We received a letter saying an inspection needed to be completed. I had to cancel the first inspection appointment because of a family emergency, but I have since called the inspection team three times trying to reschedule and have not received a return call or confirmation of an appointment. At this point, I would like an explanation of why we were told the original HVAC system had been fully inspected and might need to be replaced when there was a hole in the ductwork and no airflow into the home. I would also like to understand how that hole was not noticed when the new system was installed and connected. I am extremely frustrated with how this has been handled. After this experience, we will not use Del-Air again, and would never recommend their services to any of my friends or family. I don't feel comfortable trusting them to properly diagnose a problem or stand behind their work when something goes wrong. If you do use Del-Air, be careful. Ask questions, check everything, and make sure every I is dotted and every T is crossed. This experience has left us feeling like we cannot trust the company or the work being done. This is not how I believe a business should treat its customers.

Wilfredo and Erick worked all day to remove damaged parts from a faulty float that flooded our garage. They took care to clean and treat all surfaces and left our A/C looking better than the day it was installed. Their work was meticulous and greatly appreciated. Thank you Del Air.

On installation day, Joey and the Max Electrical Solutions team arrived within the scheduled window and got right to work. They installed recessed lights in my carport and replaced a wire going to my water heater. The pricing was very reasonable for the amount of work completed, and the quality of the workmanship exceeded my expectations. Everything was installed neatly and professionally, and you can tell they don't cut corners. They also cleaned up thoroughly inside and outside, leaving the work area spotless when they finished. I especially appreciated their professionalism, attention to detail, and work ethic, even while working in the Florida heat. Thank you to Jesse, Joey, and the entire Max Electrical Solutions team for a job well done. I would definitely recommend them!

He stated he was unaware of what had happened to my ceiling. He wanted to schedule someone to come out and take pictures, which honestly boiled my blood. I refused to let that happen again. Instead, I offered to send him pictures, which he agreed to. I promptly sent them accepted via email. He confirmed receipt. About a week later, I was wondering if I'd ever hear back. The next day, he called and said he would find a dry waller. A week after that, he found a dry waller and called to ask about my availability. I told him just book a date and a time with the dry waller and tell me what it is. I was trying to be as flexible as possible, to facilitate the repair. A couple days later he called and gave me the appointment date and time. The dry waller was on time. The job was completed in about three hours and it looks pretty good. Afterward, Jim called again to see if I was pleased with the work and mentioned painting the area. I declined the offer for painters, since I don't have any matching paint and I don't want to take the time to be there for another subcontractor. The hole is fixed; it can be painted later. I appreciated his gesture for the painters though. The incident occurred on Monday, November 15, 2021 and was repaired on Friday, January 21, 2022. Just over two months to get it fixed. I understand there were a few holidays in between those dates, so that's why I was being as flexible about it as I possibly could. At this point, I don't know if I'd hire them again, but at least I can say they came through in the end and made amends.
