Our spot on Del Beach right in front of Hotel Coronado.

The only reason we came to this beach is to reminisce our wedding after 1 year. We found a great little picnic bench but sadly the bartender was very rude. It was our first time buying some drinks here and if most definitely be our last, the Surf Bar bartender made sure of that. Luckily the weather is perfect and our beach lounging neighbors are so friendly. It's also good to see careful social distancing and to actually see people's faces after so long.

Island Breeze cocktail ($22). Pic looks great, but it tasted horrible (overly sweet/weird fruit & alc combination)

Not worth it. I got the Island Breeze cocktail and it was overly sweet while also having an unpleasant alcohol taste at the end (aka the combination of the fruitiness and the alcohol just didn't go well together). What's more, the drink costed $22. Although drinking cocktails on the beach seemed ideal and the picture that I took looks beautiful, it was a horrible experience; i.e. sand got in the drink, the drink itself was unpleasant to down, and it was expensive. Unless you desperately need this picture for an "I'm so cool IG post," this place is a "no-go"

Cali vibe. I promise that the bar was playing The Beach Boys.

Nice location. Nice view. Laid back beach vibe and atmosphere with California prices. Located close to historic Hotel del Coronado. 1). Drinks. Limited selection of wine and spirits. Limited food options. Very expensively priced. Ordered regular red wine and it cost about a bottle of a decent red. 2). Customer Service. Good and laid back. Goes well with the area. Very quick and attentive. 3). Atmosphere. Beach vibe. You will get the vacation feel while chilling out. This is what makes this location very good. 4). Others. Unless you are staying in the hotel, there is very limited parking. You can use their beach tables and chairs with your order. Can get cold when the wind is howling. Good vibe. Go here for the atmosphere. 3* because this is an average location really. It reminds me of a vacation without being on vacation. 2 less * for the very expensive price and for very limited parking.

Absolutely rude! Martin and Tyler gave poor service with a bad attitude. Not accommodating in any way. When we went back to the bar 10 minutes after ordering a couple drinks, waiting in line again, Martin's response was "What? I did not take your order man!" Go somewhere else. Vacationers want to have a good time not feel disregarded by nasty employees! Clearly they don't want business. In addition the served a nasty grisly taco. See the photo.

Shrimp tacos were great. Yellow tail was a bit dry and the drinks are ok. Only seating is in the sun. Quick spot for a bite and a drink. Nothing really more. Not too exciting, but not bad at all.

I love you San Diego!!! We are seriously blessed to be living in America's Finest City. Perfect day to bake under the sun with Ramona! had lots of fun tanning in our itty bitty bikinis on the sand. then we continued baking on the fake grass located in front of hotel del where we watched children play and couples be romantic. So cute and relaxing.

Hands down my favorite bar in San Diego. Where else can you bring your pup to have a drink, watch the sunset and listen to live music at the beach? Love Jeff and Steve and they are always taking care of us even on the busiest days. Ask Jeff to make you a margarita and don't miss out on the shrimp taco either.

We are staying at the Glorietta Bay Inn in Coronado right across from Hotel Del. You don't have to be a guest of the hotel to use this beach set-up service! Full bar with yummy specialty cocktails available plus a limited beach menu (see pic). You can choose the "bed" half-moon canopy or the two single lounge chair canopy. Loved the bed! We played cards and relaxed! Felt private! They also provide beach toys for the kids as an added service.

This is the very first pity 5 stars I've ever done. I didn't order any food nor any drinks. So to…read moregive it anything less than five stars is completely unfair. The service was excellent so that's all I'm going off of. The menu did look pretty fire though, so I'd be willing to give it another shot cause for all intents and purposes, the other people in the restaurant seemed to be really enjoying the food! But anyways... I'm a skillet cookie connoisseur. Any place that has a skillet cookie, I'm going there SOLEY to order it. If I ever get married, instead of having cake, my guests will be having skillet cookies for dessert instead. Some might say I love skillet cookies even more than Scottie Scheffler. My love for skillet cookies runs deeper than the Mariana trench and I've been to more than (at least) 11 restaurants to exclusively try them out. With that out of the way... I'm horrified to report this is the worst skillet cookie I've ever had in my entire life. It somehow felt overcooked, yet undercooked at the same time. It was also like they cooked it at an angle. Because it awkwardly occupied 3/4ths of the skillet. It had the consistency of a cake but the taste of a cookie? It was like they couldn't decide whether or not they wanted to make a cake or a cookie. So instead, they decided to half bake something that was in between. I couldn't believe it. It was also completely lacking in the chocolate chip department. All in all, this skillet cookie had a worse performance than Michael Jordan during his high school varsity tryouts. I'll admit it too... I completely lied to the waitress when she came over and asked me how the cookie was. Instead of telling her the truth, I gave her two thumbs up and said, " it's good!".... It was not good. It was terrible! I'm a coward.

The bar in the restaurant is great, with a couple of nice TVs for sports, and the somewhat dark, basement-oriented style of the restaurant is really cool and unique. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Grilled Bacon & Blistered Shishito Pepper Burger. While the burger looked delicious, and tasted decent, I had higher hopes for it. I was wanting the burger to be a bit more juicy and spicy. While there is some room for improvement there, it's definitely still a place I'll be back to!

The hotel dates back to 1888 and has hosted celebrities, royalty, and U.S. presidents over the years. It was also famously featured in the movie Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe. Knowing some of that history made it even more interesting to visit. The property is absolutely gorgeous and sits right on the beach with beautiful ocean views. Sun Deck itself is really cute, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. One important heads-up: valet parking is $49. We were initially told that parking could be validated at the restaurant, but unfortunately that was not the case, so just be prepared for the parking cost. We actually ended up at Sun Deck by mistake while trying to find another restaurant. Once we realized we were at the wrong place, we decided to stay and have a cocktail instead of ordering food. I ordered a spicy margarita, and honestly, it was one of the best margaritas I've had in a very long time. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Jessica took care of us, and she was wonderful. She has such a sweet, bubbly personality and was very informative and genuinely fun to talk to. She also makes an amazing margarita! If you get a chance, ask for Jessica -- you won't be disappointed. Although we didn't get a chance to try the food, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the gorgeous ocean views, and our drinks. Between the beautiful historic hotel, beachfront location, spacious outdoor seating, and great cocktails, Sun Deck is definitely a nice place to stop and enjoy the Coronado scenery.

First, as expected, it's way overpriced for what it is. It'll cost you at least $30+ for any salad or entree. Got the grilled chicken naan, which was basically an explosion of ingredients. Messiest meal at the Del by far :P At least the fries were crispy and solid. Kids did enjoy their cheeseburgers. It was no frills, pretty standard.

The ordering and beer shack is made to look appropriately rustic and the sign post is appropriately thematic, see my pics. As you can see from my pic I was lucky enough to be there at a slow time. My canned beer came out in so-so time. But the staff was somewhat harried and short tempered. I ordered my fish taco, and I didn't realize it was made and had to be picked up at a different shack - which is around the corner from where I placed my order. So they had to tell me twice (I didn't see the small white sign down the alley: so you don't get snapped at I have a pic of where the food is prepped and picked up.) There were 2 taco orders ahead of mine, yet it took 15 minutes to serve my taco. I'm glad I waited there - they yell your name at the alley, I'm not sure it could be heard at the beach and over the live music. Please take a look at my $8.50 fish taco. While there was a plentiful amount of fish, the seasoning was incredibly salty. Also the fish was tough. I did liked the guac on top and rest the was fresh.
