Awesome place to relax with family. Even had mocktails.

Beautiful location. Perfect spot to listen to music and relax. Drinks were creative and tasty. Service was very friendly. I had the shrimp taco. Loved everything that was in it but the shrimp was over done and it was a little dry.

I went here on Friday during my trip to San Diego. I had the Carne Asada Taco & The Berry Sprit. Both were good, just pricey. 1 taco was $12 and the Berry Spritz was a non alcoholic beverage for $13. Other than that the staff were friendly and the ambiance was nice eating outside along the beach.

Excellent Marg on the beach to top off a short day of work. Where else can coworkers enjoy a drink w feet in the sand. Pricey yes, and expected due to the location outdoors of the Hotel Del Coronado. Perfect place to grab a drink in a more laid back setting than the formal hotel property.

I really like this place. It's at the Del down by the beach past the lawn. Great service by Jeffrey today. Ordered the fish taco and a tequila and soda. Both on point. You also can't beat the view of Coronado beach. Don't miss. Highly recommended!

Great location for a taco stand at The Del- perfect view of the ocean and they have a cute Tiki Bar setup with seating on the beach. I came on a late Friday afternoon and they had live music playing. The line to order was very long so my friend and I opted to order online. The order took about 10 minutes to be ready and we picked it up behind the bar. By the time we picked up our food, the line at the bar was shorter so I also picked up a margarita, which was well made. I had the Surf & Birria Taco which was just ok. The flavor was kinda bland - the beef was dry and the shrimp was not spicy at all. This taco definitely needed hot sauce. Overall, this place is overpriced for what it is but it's at The Del with an amazing location so...

Well it's a taco truck on the beach in front of The Del so I should have expected that sort of pricing for a simple taco and drink... but $50 for 2 tacos and 2 drinks? Insane. Food was okay... hubs ordered a spicy shrimp taco which he said had no hint of spice and I had the fish taco which lacked flavor but was okay. Glass of wine and a beer each $17 and $14... insane to me. I will say the location is key. Our kids could play on the beach right in front of us while we sat at a picnic table to eat and drink. The beach was trashed with people's garbage which makes me so angry, but they do try to keep up with cleaning the area around the tables. Would I go back? Probably not. But I do see the appeal given the location and ease of it.

Not our order - long story.

Am being generous on the rating because location, location, location. First of all, it's at "The Del", right on the sand. What's not to like about that? Live music was a plus. As far as ordering and food, don't expect to be pleasantly surprised - instead, plan to go with the flow. I stood in line with Sweet Granddaughter while Dear Hubby searched for a table with an umbrella for shade. The menu is tacos or tacos. I picked Barbacoa Beef for DH, and a fish taco for me. Found out that they have kids quesadilla, which wasn't on the menu. Though families eat here, the bartenders are all about making alcoholic drinks; the food is secondary to them. In an unpractical fashion, the drinks are served in plastic cups with no lids, so good luck getting them to your table without spilling. I asked SG to help me carry a cup of water, and much of that ended up sprinkling the ground. I had my hands full with a beer for DH and a virgin pina colada for me. Meanwhile, I also paid for our tacos at the same time, but they tell you to come back in about 10 minutes and they'll have the order ready in the back of the building where the kitchen is, not up front where the bar holds center stage. DH goes to get the order, and gives them my name. They hand him my Lianne order, but it really was for Lucas. Lucas had a similar order to ours, but not the exact order. Thus I paid $50+ for 3 tacos, a beer, and a virgin drink, and didn't even get what I ordered. Awkward. The setting of being on the sand with the bay in the distance, the Del over our shoulders, and live music being played made for a relaxing time. If we go back, I will hover by the kitchen and make sure that I get the correct order!

Great drinks and nice bartenders! Cool vibe right on the beach. There are plenty of tables with umbrellas on the sand to relax and enjoy the sun.

Order from this side then pick up is to the north.

At Hotel Del near beach chair rentals. We weren't too hungry and appreciated the reasonable cost here. Around $9 per shrimp or fish taco, come with corn tortillas, generous toppings with avocado and slightly spicy chipotle crema and pico de gallo, with slaw. If you rent loungers or above, you can order from beach service. We decided to order directly at the stand so it didn't have time to get cold. Recommended.

The steak taco was really good in my opinion! They're not shy about the serving on mine. I also got a Piña Colada and that was super refreshing on a hot day. Prices are steep but makes sense cause it's right by the beach.

I know people have said it before, but the location of the Beach & Taco Shack is fantastic. The ocean, live music, cocktails and taco, what's not to love?! We got the Beef Barbacoa Taco and Surf & Birria Taco and damn they were good. Two of us got the sunset beach and neither of us were fans. The whiskey point and peachy bottom were very tasty. The guys mixing and taking orders were super friendly and very welcoming.

His questions guided my indecision towards a Berkshire Old Fashioned that was fantastic despite my fumbling to get there. With the warm up round over and the old fashioned loosening up my creativity, round two was set to be a knockout. I love coffee (specifically strong espresso drinks), so I asked for a strong, coffee infused, punchy cocktail, but with a different base of alcohol from the old fashioned. What came out was the best cocktail I will probably ever have in my life. The bourbon cocktail with coffee liqueur (and a number of other garnishes I will never remember) hit the bullseye. Flavorful, strong, bold, delicious all at the same time. Unfortunately (?), this was a noble experiment so I'll forever be chasing the white whale of what this drink was. But that's the allure.

Seréa at Hotel del Coronado A Five-Star Coastal Experience…read more We had an absolutely outstanding five-star meal at Seréa, the oceanfront restaurant at the iconic Hotel del Coronado (right next to Nobu). The setting was breathtaking...! Sweeping views of the Pacific, elegant coastal decor, string lights, and swaying palms creating the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. Our cocktails were light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, made with freshly muddled berries. Service from Brett was impeccable from start to finish; warm, attentive, and professional. Instead of the usual appetizer + entrée route, we decided to build our entire meal around a selection of appetizers so we could sample more dishes. It was an excellent choice! Variety really is the spice of life. We started with the house sourdough focaccia: warm, spongy, and perfectly golden, served with a flavorful dipping sauce that we couldn't stop eating. The crispy saganaki was golden and addictive, with bright, complementary flavors. The crispy calamari was light, perfectly fried, and tossed with capers, fresh herbs, and a zesty lemon-chili aioli. We finished with the garlic harissa chicken kabob: tender, well-seasoned chicken with a tangy harissa yogurt, served with warm flatbread and roasted vegetables. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully executed. From the stunning ocean views and creative coastal cuisine to the warm hospitality, Seréa delivered a memorable experience. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!

For being one of the premier restaurants at 'The Del', it's run by a bunch of FOH and BOH clowns. We had a reservation and requested to be seated indoors, and we watched not one, not two, but three back-and-forth conversations that the hostess had to have with the manager in order to make that happen. The crowd here consists mostly of pretentious and obnoxious rich people, and the decor is Pottery Barn Coastal Chic. We got a crappy table and that intro to Serea pretty much dictated how the rest of the night went. It took our waitress almost 15 minutes to come and acknowledge our existence, and while she was very nice and actually seemed competent at her job, it was clear she was in the weeds and couldn't handle her section. We got two $23 cocktails that had clearly spilled on their way to the table; the gimlet was OK and the Old Fashioned could have been made by your local Irish bar. For apps, we started with the grilled octopus and the swordfish "tacos." They put the octopus plate down and said, "Careful, it's really hot," which is code for: "this has been sitting under a heat lamp for a while." So, no surprise, the meat was rubbery and the tentacles were like slime. There was so much raw onion on top of everything it was absurd. At least the potatoes were cooked correctly! The pita of the taco was from a supermarket and while the sauce and fish weren't bad, there was, again, a mountain of raw thinly sliced red onion that overwhelmed everything. For mains, we do have to say the crusted seared tuna was the one decent dish of the evening. It was cooked correctly and we enjoyed the accompanying dolmas. Our daughter got a fish and chips where the breading on the fish immediately fell off. Even an 8-year old can tell when there's a fool running the kitchen and observed with some chagrin that "there's more chips than fish." The biggest sin, though, was the avgolemono--which was saltier than the ocean outside--and had zero lemon and zero dill. It was a $32 bowl of brown salt water with some chicken floating around it. Anyway, we shouldn't be surprised that this place underdelivered this egregiously, but we were shocked by just how bad it actually was. Two stars, barely. Go elsewhere.
