Beautiful restaurant with great service and delicious food! Enough room outside for our team to sit together (benches and table seats). We ordered almost all of the small plate options and every single thing was DELICIOUS (check out the pics)! My colleagues ordered cocktails and wines and said they were good. I asked for a lemonade with strawberry added and it tasted fresh squeezed was it was a little on the tart side but after adding some of my water to it, it was perfect. I can't wait to come back to Palm Springs with my hubby. It would be a perfect spot for a romantic date night. The hotel where the restaurant is located is pretty special too!

Little hotel is hidden by some beautiful hedges. The little plaque out front lets you know you are in the right place. Lobby is rich and beautiful and sexy. Walked through the hotel and the pool to get to this restaurant. It matched the vibe of the lobby. Dark, rich and sexy. All of the staff was attentive and helpful. This place is tapas style so we ordered quite a bit. The Barajas bravas, the bombas, meatballs, ensalada de temporada and broccoli. Everything was so rich, delicious and flavored perfectly. Every dish seemed to have a lot of flavors going on that all worked perfectly together. This place is a definite must visit.

We attended their once a month paella that they offer by reservation only Oct - May. Staff was amazing and I loved they introduced the staff at the start of the night. They started on the patio with appetizers of stuffed dates and steak bites on toast. We then moved inside to our own table that had a personalized card greeting us. Every course was thoughtful and tasty. We overall had an amazing dinner that lasted almost three hours. All I can say is if your not sure - its worth it. I cant wait to maybe stay at the hotel and try some other offerings.

    Sardine plate for happy hour

Come in for happy hour! I got the sardine plate and it was beautifully plated and delicious. Drinks are also great I wish I tried more. My boyfriend and I loved it we are definitely coming back when we are in Palm Springs.

I don't know what it is about this place but I cannot stop thinking about it. Every single dish we had was amazing. We genuinely loved each dish and ordered seconds and thirds of some - the shrimp especially. The service was wonderful and don't get me started on the ambiance - it is PERFECT. We are very tough critics and coming from NYC have copious amounts of lovely restaurants around us yet ever since returning home from Palm Springs I cannot stop thinking about our dinner here. Del Rey is perfect in every way, by far our favorite meal in Palm Springs - if you are in town definitely stop by.

    tinned sardines in spicy oil

I really enjoyed the tinned fish selection. Just wish they would provide better air conditioning... it was hot and muggy in the interior dinning room booth.

From the second we walked onto the property I knew we were in for a treat. Gorgeous ambience, vibe, and decor. Our service was fantastic and the food was five stars. Loved the craft cocktails as well - just delicious! The albondigas were my fave tapas we had - we ate them way too fast to snap a picture but amazing flavor. This will now be on my must visit every time I am in town. Great spot!

My friend recommended Del Rey & it did not disappoint! From the lobby to the pool space, the hotel grounds were beautiful. Such a pretty little path leading back to the restaurant. Inside we had the cutest tucked-away corner booth, even though the tables are close together it still felt private & it was quiet enough to carry a conversation. Loved the moody but elegant speak-easy vibes! For four people I think we ordered 7 shareable plates & ended up absolutely stuffed! Everything was great, it was hard to pick a favorite...Would definitely recommend adding the crispy Jamón wherever it's an option, we added it to the bombas & it was SO good! The cocktails were as delicious as they were beautiful. Never had an old fashioned served with manchego, but it was a great pairing! Our server was attentive & friendly, she really made it a wonderful experience. Finished the night with the bread pudding & basque cheesecake, hardly had room but it was worth it.

Come for happy hour before our dinner. The bar was nice , cost and classy also service was great as well . Our drinks were great . Our bartender was knowledgeable helping us pick the drinks. We might comeback again for sure.

    Shrimp
    Baret S.

Warning on food and price! Sister restaurant of Bar Cecil, ordered cheapest bottle of bubbles $70 and the shrimp appetizer $38 for 5 extremely over cooked shrimp. Asked if they could fire up 5 more shrimp not overcooked and the next round had 1 shrimp not overcooked. The servicer was nice and couldn't believe they messed it up again and agreed on the over cooking. The broth and bread was good though. Manager seemed to be a little out of his league and wanted to stand at the front with 2 hosts already standing, not busy at all. Feels like a hotel restaurant trap because not much food in walking distance and guest probably get forced to eat at restaurant.

Love this space-- dark and moody, great cocktails, fun menu! It has all the trimmings for whatever sort of night you want; chill, sexy or ramping up for your next venue. Service is on point too!

After a quick Yelp search, we found this spot. Once we arrived, finding street parking was tricky but not impossible! We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. Definitely get a reservation if you are planning to go here. They have indoor and outdoor patio seating. We decided to sit inside. Being a vegetarian, I'm always on the lookout for interesting innovative food items. They had a vegan tamale and a veggie enchilada, stuffed with interesting list of vegetables. I decided to give those a shot. The tamales came out relatively quickly. The presentation was 10/10. The flavor profile was amazing. It was interesting to see the choice of vegetables. Overall, I loved the dish. The enchiladas came out quickly too. Again, the presentation was 10/10. It also came with a side of rice. The rice was surprisingly flavorful and tasty. The enchiladas were stuffed with delicious vegetables. I did request the cheese on side. Overall, we loved both the dishes. To celebrate our anniversary, they brought out a coconut cream ice cream. It was delicious and topped with fresh berries ! I highly recommend checking out this restaurant , you won't be disappointed!

We honestly felt like we paid full size prices for kid size meals and left still hungry. We had another appointment immediately afterward, so we didn't have time to order anything else, which made it even more disappointing. We've been to the Azusa location, and the difference in portion sizes is surprising! The servings there are easily 2-3 times the amount. For what we paid in Palm Springs, we definitely expected more. The food itself was enjoyable, but the value and portion sizes really missed the mark for us.

I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and it was really good. The eggs were perfectly poached, the salmon was generous, and the hollandaise was creamy without feeling too heavy. I also liked that it came with fresh berries on the side, which made the whole plate feel a little lighter. We also shared the bread and cheese board, and surprisingly, the pear with the date spread was probably one of my favorite bites. The pear was crisp and fresh, and that sweet, rich date spread was seriously addictive. I kept going back for more. The bread, nuts, cheese, and other little bites on the board made it really fun to share. The drinks were refreshing too, and the presentation was beautiful without trying too hard. Definitely one of those places where I'd come back with friends for a slow weekend brunch. The food was good, but the charming patio and overall vibe were probably my favorite part.

It tasted like Vietnamese beef jerky... quite a surpise! For appetizer, we had gazpacho and beet salad. Both are very refreshing and perfect for summer time. For main dish, steak and chillean seabass. For desserts, we had tiramisu and cheese cake. Everything is perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I have not had one bad dish here!

They don't pick up the phone at all, so don't bother calling. They do, however, take walk-ins if you're willing to wait. All part of the optics and over hype. We brought our own bottle of Veuve and they were great about putting it on ice for us and opened it for us so we could sip while we waited for a table. All excellent, but it came at a $49 corkage fee before tip! Geez! When we were seated, the host made a big deal about our birthdays gave us BOTH handwritten birthday cards and told the waiter to take good care of us because we were celebrating a double birthday and seated us at a center spot at the bar, which we loved! A hit! Overall, the service and ALL the staff were great, but to be honest. some of the food was hit and miss. The menu is somewhat underwhelming. They seem to be mostly known for their deviled eggs. Okay, I love a deviled egg, but so what? Every time I'd ask anyone about Bar Cecil, they'd say, "Well. their deviled eggs are good." We should have known then, but we wanted to see for ourselves what the hype was about. It's French because they serve, escargot, steak frites, and caviar service, but it's really a bunch of different food items that aren't really cohesive -- deviled eggs with dates and sage, Thai curry muscles, smoke pork chop, cacio e pepe. WTF? The best things we had were the oysters, grilled artichokes and the Bernaise sauce on the steak frites was spot on, but the steak itself was chewy and difficult to cut with a steak knife -- a miss that could have been a hit. Not worth the price point. We also ordered the Thai curry muscles, which were really good until the last six muscles, which were sandy and gritty. Again another miss, that could have been a hit. The waiter did take them off the bill, but then at the very end of our "double birthday celebration," the waiter asked, "Are you ready for desert?" My friend responded, "Well, I'm pretty full. Is it complimentary?" And he responded, "It is, but I didn't want to ruin the surprise." So we both ordered desert -- I ordered a "special" desert that wasn't on the menu. A cookie ice cream thing and she ordered the pavlova. Mine was okay. She loved hers. Again it could have been a massive hit-- instead it was a massive miss! We were charged $27 for our two "complimentary" deserts before tax and tip! Oh well, we didn't haggle and paid our bill, but only tipped 20%. We would have tipped an extra $50-$100 because it was our birthdays and we would have tipped all the comped amounts to the wait staff, figuring we would have paid those costs plus tax and tip on top of that. Too bad. Overall, I wouldn't wait in long lines any time soon for this experience. It's was just a meh for us.

We've dined here many times, but on our most recent visit we had the pleasure of meeting the new owners, Raphael and his lovely wife Angie, and honestly, what a beautiful couple. Humble, kind, welcoming, and the kind of people who make you feel like you've known them for years. We were celebrating our anniversary with our children and family, a group of 9, and unfortunately we were running late. I called and told them we'd be there in about 10 minutes, and instead of making us feel rushed or uncomfortable, they simply said, "Don't worry, we'll take care of you when you get here." That alone told me a lot about the kind of people they are. They seated all 9 of us comfortably and treated us like family. We ordered a little bit of everything, including almost all the appetizers. The bone marrow is an absolute MUST, especially with the toasted bread that comes with it. The kids loved the Iberico Jamón, which is truly a delicacy and absolutely worth trying. We also ordered the ribeye and specifically asked for it medium-well plus. The chef somehow cooked it exactly the way we had pictured it in our heads. Perfectly done and full of flavor. Honestly, everything that came out of that kitchen was delicious. The seasoning, the Mediterranean flavors, the quality of the ingredients, you can taste the care that goes into the food. But what really stood out were the little things. One of our kids got cold, and the owners noticed before we even said anything and adjusted the AC. Our bread was getting low, and before we could even ask, another basket appeared at the table. Those small details say more about a restaurant than anything else. They were paying attention. They cared. And they wanted us to have a great night. Raphael and Angie, thank you for welcoming us, taking care of our family, and making our anniversary dinner such a memorable evening. You didn't treat us like customers, you treated us like family, and that means a lot. We'll absolutely be back. Wishing you both nothing but success and many beautiful years ahead. See you soon!
