Yesterday my oldest daughter and I decided to try Del Taco's new Fat Tacos 2 for $6 pretty good deal. We went with the grilled chicken version. It comes on pita bread with iceberg lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes. It was ok, but honestly not my favorite. I still think their classic hard shell chicken tacos are my go to. We also tried the Epic Carne Asada Burrito loaded with cheese. They definitely weren't lying about the cheese because it was SUPER cheesybut it actually worked well with the carne asada and fries inside. The burrito was huge, so my daughter and I shared it. Throughout my 20s, Del Taco was my guilty pleasure and favorite comfort food. If you had asked me back then, I would have told you it was like candy to me. I ate it at least once a week, usually on Taco Tuesday. More than once, a group of friends and I pooled our money and rolled through the drive-thru on a Tuesday or Thursday night to order 100 tacos. These days, Del Taco still holds a special place in my heart, but the cravings have mostly faded. Last night, I used a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for the Combo Burrito, which saved me about $5, but my total still came out to a little over $14. All I ordered were two Del Combo Burritos (one of them free) and three Chicken Soft Tacos. I did add onions to everything at $0.50 each, which added another $2.50 to the bill. Every time I come here and ask for "two handfuls of sauces" there is always the SAME guy that asks "how many" and when I tell him an amount he tells me "I can't do that!" Asking for a lot of sauces should not be difficult! (I'm Latina and like spice!) Today I told him a specific number. Did I get that specific number? No. I paid for my food. Today I went at 6:22 to get a big fat garnet tacos. They are very dry. The garnet saw that was very chewy and when I got home to eat them, they were very cold would not recommend. read more

the food is amazing, the dining is so clean and the customer service provided by Derreck was excellent.

Very mixed feelings about this particular location. Some items are great while others are not. Sometimes they get our drive thru order right and other times they don't. When they don't they always forget an item or two. The receipt is always right and we end up paying for things that we didn't receive. It's hard to give more than two stars with ongoing issues. On the bright side the shrimp tacos that seem to come back each year are delicious. read more

We came to try the birria, and it's pretty good for fast food. The meat is tender and reasonably moist. The corn tortillas taste fresh. Both the tacos and quesadilla have just enough cheese without making the dish an oily mess. Everything was served hot. The big disappointment is the consommé. It distinctly tastes of bouillon cubes to me. The fakeness is a contrast with the beef and tortillas, which taste real. Everything was better undipped. The service was super quick even by fast food standards. A good option when you need a drive thru and nothing else is open. read more

This location has FAST SERVICE. I got a medium #1 with a Cherry Coke. Literally seconds after I pulled my card out of the machine, my food was done. The guy cracked me up saying "apologies for that wait." I said,"nooo that was fast! Thank you!" Food was hot and fresh. It's very important that the fries are hot, so thank you. The tacos were stacked full. I like mine with half Inferno sauce and half Del Scorcho sauce. Sorry, guys.. the food was so good and I was so hungry that I didn't have a picture. Service is great. The food is great. I have no complaints. I'm only giving four stars because to this day... the Barstow Del Tacos are THE BEST!!! The Barstow Del Taco is from the original menu and features a crispier shell, juicier beef, fresh lettuce, loaded with cheddar cheese and the classic slice of tomato on top (the Del Taco version has diced tomatoes). Went through the drive thru - 12:30am on January 19, 2024. Big guy with goatee working the window took our order but when driving up to get the order - 3/4 of it was not in the bag. We asked him about the rest of the order- he didn't get it - like he didn't even hear it. So he had to add to the order which he was not happy about - he threw more items at us - charged us - but still he missed part of the order. We drove away with what we had - we should have known it would have been horrible because there were no other customers to be found. Never coming back. Its pretty bad when you are hands down out classed by Taco Bell! read more

Just stopped by about a week ago to grab some lunch, I was having an awful day and was debating between here or taco bell. The shorter hispanic boy at the register was so sweet. He greeted me with a smile and made sure to ask me how my day was while ringing me up quickly for the people behind me. This is a ok location of Del Taco. Just dont care for the customer service here tho. Me and my girl came here to eat lunch one day before visiting people. I ordered their Beer battered tacos and Burritos which are really really good. They messe my order up by forgetting my fries. Girl had an attitude like she didnt want to be there. I tried several items on the menu, but the only thing I like are the cheddar potato poppers. This time I tried the BOGO wet burrito plato. I prefer the chicken verde over the carne asada, but both are whatever. I wouldn't get either again. $0.43 Tuesday and Thursday taco night is a really great deal, but still not good enough for me to want to order from here. This restaurant does not accept their coupon offers. The manager accepts when she wants to accept and when she does not want to accept it she just tells you we cannot accept any offers they offer on their app. I have been to this location many times and the computer accepts the offers every time. The manager just told us they are not suppose to accept any coupons on Tuesday and Thursday. No where does it state that they cannot accept any offers on those days. I ask for the managers name and he tells me her name is Rico...lol she is busy hiding behind the worker. I don't know if this is a racist issue or not. Tortilla wrap tapers off at the end; which is where I began my utensil-free meal.  One third into the burrito I finally bite into what I paid for.  At this point I'm projecting my star rating cuz I wasn't exactly glad with how my bites into the inconsistent burrito filling of the jumbo shrimp burrito started. It turns out to be one of those things where expectations shouldn't be had.  The thing is the Del Taco commercial asking "would you rather have jumbo eyebrows or jumbo teeth?..." sent me a subliminal message.  I swore there's something else behind the strange ad. And there was!  Seven jumbo battered shrimp later - hugged up in cabbage shreds, rice, and pick de gallo, I'm full, I'm satisfied, I stand corrected by my earlier presumption about the tapered tortilla wrap.  If there were anything I'd add to the pretty good flavor, it would be cilantro and maybe three slices of pickled jalapeno. read more

Well..it took me a while to leave this review because I wanted to see if my experience would be different. After order after order being totally ruined I'm done. Okay so I ordered a bacon and egg breakfast wrap. I say no HASHBROWNS very clearly (because the other five times it happened). The guy at the window repeats my order, I confirm and repeat NO HASHBROWNS! Guess what...freaking HASHBROWNS!!!! Can't believe it happened again. I'm done Dell Taco! I know one customer doesn't matter but I'm loyal. I guess funky egg McMuffins for me from now on.. Imma start pulling up to the window and just saying "yeah give me whatever you feel like me eating" cause that's what I end up with anyways. read more

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants! The service here has been phenomenal for well over five years! It's always clean. The employees are always prepping out orders pretty much as fast as a human can. The food is quality served quick. The staff has been to the extent of my knowledge friendly and courteous. They ask your name when you order in person, thank you after ordering, and thank you again after serving you your food and wish you a nice day. I've been here when there is a line of cars four deep and the staff is getting food out the drive through efficiently and effectively. I'll certainly dine here again! read more

It's convenient and I think their food tastes better than the competitor Mexican fast food chain. The cheddar potato poppers are too good. The burger and fries are surprisingly tasty as well. They offer discounts "daily specials" on certain days of the week. For example, they have "Taco Tuesday". This location is convenient to other shopping. The dining area was clean and the service was friendly and fast. There is a self-serve soda fountain area. If I were to add anything to the menu it would be more carne asada options, shrimp options, and Hi-C orange & horchata at the soda fountain. read more
