This fast food taco stand has impressed me over the multiple times I've been here. Service has always been friendly and at times, even fun. I made a meal out of Del Taco's vegetarian burritos last night. You get two 1/2 pound burritos for $5.00. That's a deal! With an order of fries and you are eating healthy! Except for the fat, salt and carbohydrates. But, this is Del Taco, when you come here, you're looking for a tasty meal that doesn't cost much and is served quickly with a smile. That's exactly what I got and you should get the same too! Food was good as normal. It's a chain restaurant, so it "should" be identical if you eat at this location or in Bishop, CA! They have a varied menu from tacos to burgers. Yes, they even have burgers. But, why would you want to have a burger when you come to a taco place? Sometimes, you just have to have a burger! The environment was fairly clean. The floors were swept and the tables didn't have any cluttering garbage on them. I did say fairly and the reason why is one table was cleaned off of garbage but wasn't wiped off and food residue was on it. Over all, I was pleased. I have not tried everything on the menu, but I love that they have such a variety and are open 24 hrs! my go to is the grilled chicken soft tacos. they are inexpensive and quick and tasty. for my guilty pleasure... the chili cheese fries deluxe (minus the raw onions). Came here on a Saturday morning their carnitas are pretty good and all their different sauces that's available at the table is pretty good. Not a bad atmosphere and lots of parking. I recommend this to people that are on the go and would like to eat something fast but it's deftly not authentic Mexican food. read more

This place doesn't even seem like fast food. I'm a vegetarian and since they got the beyond meat tacos on their menu I go there often. Also the lady who works the drive-thru at nights is always so incredibly kind and nice. Next time I am there I will ask for her name to update this review. Only reason they are getting a 2 star is because after they eventually get the order right, the food is fresh and hot. My daughter went to grab dinner for us, what a fiasco. We ordered the asada plate, didn't asked what type of drink, evidently just gave us whatever the hell..which was a flat rootbeer, guessing from a previous messed up order. Didn't get the chip or one of the soft chicken tacos that we ordered. And evidently the girl delivering the food to the drive up order taker was seriously pissed off as evidence by the way she slammed our sack of food down. Swinging through the drive through with a friend last night, I decided to try their new Fajita Burrito - on the giant over sized ad photo hanging in the window, this burrito looked like something God himself had made, it was BEAUTIFUL and even though I was not actually hungry there was NO WAY I was leaving without one! Seriously it looked just AMAZING...... and for only $3.69 So we get to my house, and I carefully open my burrito and yum it looks amazing with strips of the grilled chicken poking out the skinny end, and pieces of the red, and green peppers sticking out, and the smell of grilled onion..... I thought COOL I've found my new favorite burrito..... WRONG When you order you get your choice of two condiments that you want put in your burrito. You can choose from shredded cheese, salsa, guacamole, sour cream....... and one other (I forget) So I picked sour cream and guacamole because well those go great with fajitas! As I was on my 2ed or 3rd bite I noticed a constant drip - drip - drip of brownish color coming from the fat end of my burrito - I wasnt sure if this was grease or what but I knew I didnt want to eat it...... so I PULLED THE PLUG (tore a small piece of the flour tortilla off) to "drain" the grease.... and all of a sudden a FLOOD of runny, watery, greasy crap came FLOODING out of my burrito!!!!!! I'm not talking a little I'm talking like at least 1/2 cup or more!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!!!!!!!! My burritos was totally taking a pee and all I could do was hold it up in the air and watch this happen.... it was funny AND gross! I'm SOOOOOO glad I didnt try to eat this in the car because if it would have DUMPED all that all over me I'd have been SUPER pissed off! I dont hate Del Taco, though they are much more expensive then Taco Bell but some of their food is good, and their fries are still AWESOME..... but stay away from the pissing burrito! read more

Del Taco is a California classic. We always stop when we can here. Service was fast and delicious. We love the Double Del Cheeseburger and the chicken soft tacos . The fish tacos are good and the shredded beef tacos del carbon are bomb. read more

Generally, I like del Taco. As a chain they have the world's best french fries, IMO. I am finished with this location, though. In the drive thru at night you get either one of two things: great service or a bad experience you will remember for a life-time. Roll the dice. I just don't deserve to be treated like garbage coming home from work late at night. Last time I went there I ordered the tacos and a quesidlla along with an order of fries. There was something chewy that may have been an edge of a hamburger in one of my tacos that I spit out and it tasted like someone put a pinch of sugar in my fries. This is my favorite fast food place! They have vegetarian items at a great price. Senior discounts and survey coupons are honored. Dining area is always clean. Staff is always friendly. This business receives zero stars. Food is normally good, but this visit yielded in an angry manager (Robin), food was cold (even though we took it home - three minutes from the drive through), order was completely wrong, and the bread was completely stale on the burger. When discussing with the "manager" Robin, we were yelled at, told that food doesn't stay warm in your car when you take it home, it's 25 degrees outside when it's definitely warmer than that and the last time I checked people have heaters in their cars, fries were COMPLETELY COLD ON ARRIVAL, was told that "I'm in the middle of lunch rush and am not going to deal with you", and then was hung up on. Del Taco isn't the best quality food, however, service should be a priority. Especially considering that none of the employees were following COVID requirements. Being people who are trying to support restaurants, it might behoove the owner of this franchise to take another look at who they have running the place. Robin seems to be a great role model, completely understands customer service, and follows the health department's standards as to food prep and COVID requirements. Service here sucked! Took 18 minutes to get our order of a couple burritos and a few tacos. It was 4 in the after noon and no one in the lobby and a handful of cars in the drive-thru. Started to say something to the guy working there and he just said have a nice day...Twice. Dell beef was the only thing I ordered that was worth eating and I've had better Dell beefs before. 7 layer burrito was layered front to back instead of on top of itself. So instead of having 7 layers in one bite you got a layer in a bit. The rice only bite was discussing. Rice here was nasty. Tacos were not good either it was cheese and salad. Very little meat. The chess was three fingers deep. Just a tad much. Oh and the started wrapping the tacos before adding the pico since the pico was on top of the flap start and not on the taco. I went to a different location than normal today since I was having to wait too long in the drive through. So much for my idea. The wait time was even WORSE! In fact, I am still here! It took nearly 15min to even tell them my order. With two cars ahead of me at the moment, I will wait and record the total time I sat in the drive through at 10140 N McCarran Blvd Reno, NV 89503 store # --oh what do you know, can't get the store number since they didn't give me a receipt! Wow this place was so dirty!! Used to go here every Friday with the wife but it's all new people working there now. The counter was sticky as hell and the floors on both sides of the counter was dirty and napkins all over the place and some straw wrappers. Put our order in after waiting a few mins no biggie but the Manager took our order and had the same blue gloves on handling the food then the money and right back to handling food with the same gloves. She then wiped her hair with them then back to making food. I asked for my money back right away. They aren't going to make me sick again here. The manager never said oh I am sorry or nothing. I know she doesn't give a crap about the job or people that go there and the place shows it. Never again at this place. Frankly, I try not to eat fast food, but sometime dire situations come forward.. Like it being 2 am, and me being hungry. Ergo, I forget about my hatred for fast food and I head over to Del taco! It was fast getting our food, probably because it was leftover beans from that morning? Maybe? Probably. I got two 1/2 pound bean and cheese burritos. Love grabbing tacos on Tuesdays when there is a deal. I always get the tacos and a strawberry lemonade. For 3 tacos and a lemonade, my meal is under $5, so I'm happy. We drove through to pick up some fries and decided to grab some nachos as well. We ended up with the steak macho nachos and oh my god were they good. And cheap! Just awesome. On 7/31/19 at this location , had new employee with excellent customer service skills but 30 mins b4 lunch Mgr in office area , when we entered no line in dr thru . So instead of assting new employee mike who was doing his best to get Lobby clean for lunch hour but every time some walked in mike counter , no help . Mike need ice for drive fury again as he was cleaning ! My orders not correct from beginning , when brought back explain what we ordered and Mgr looked at said wasn't rang up correctly . I said well I'm not sure what wrong , " Mgr" said neither do I , " I stated y'all made it ! Fixed that , are all meal and took back bean burrito that had no red sauce as requested by sour cream wasn't added as requested. This place is always extremely dirty. The tables are never wiped down, the floor has food on it, and the bathrooms are gross. Usually the employees are standing there talking when nobody seems to be ordering, which I feel should be time for them to tidy up the place a bit. I mean how hard is it to wipe the tables down? It should take you 5 minutes tops. The food tastes fine but if they treat their kitchen the same way they treat the sitting area, I would be concerned. read more
