I visited Del Taco in Reno, NV [10140 N McCarran Blvd] on Saturday, 05/09/26, around 11:45 PM for a late-night dinner. I decided to order the #9 Combo. It came with the Del Combo Burrito, Crinkle Cut Fries, and a refreshing beverage (opted for a Sprite). I added a total of two Del Tacos on the side. For the hot sauce, I requested the Del Scorcho - Medium. The food was average at best. The burrito and tacos had a good flavor. The crunchy tacos, unfortunately, had gotten a little soggy when getting back to the hotel room. Also, the fries were not that enjoyable either. The Sprite was refreshing but barely had any ice to make it fully cold for consumption. I do want to highlight that the customer service was beyond patient and friendly. The gentleman who assisted me with the order placement and at the window delivered outstanding professionalism with care. Even though the meal was hit or miss that evening, I appreciated the warm customer care. This location stays open until 12:00 AM from Sunday to Thursday and then until 2:00 AM from Friday to Saturday. I'd give Del Taco another chance whenever I come back to the Reno area. It could've been an off day for the execution of food for this visit. read more

I had the Clásico El Big Box and wasn't disappointed. It's only $5 and has just enough for a quick lunch. If you need a regular size lunch, they have more expensive options. The burrito was tasty, the fries were perfectly seasoned without much salt, and the quesadilla was ok. I say ok because it was the tiniest little quesadilla. Great location. Tonight at 9:30 we placed online order for 3 chicken soft tacos via app and noticed the drive thru line wasn't too long. Waited for someone to answer through the speaker to let them know of the pick up order. No answer for 10 minutes. Noticed the last car in front of us left. Decided to pull up to the window, no one seen in the window. Saw 3 men inside in the dining area, thought the dining area was open. We saw the employee wearing his headset and walked to the kitchen as we parked our car by the entrance. Parked, tried to open the door, it was locked.. Drove through the drive thru once more and noticed another car at the pick up window. Pulled up to the speaker and wasn't even greeted but with a voice saying, "where you at?" My husband had to say excuse me? Eventually someone else responded however they kept saying we were at the wrong location and that there's a "northtowne" location since he couldn't find my husbands order. Eventually he found it after saying my husbands name 3 times, but didn't say to pull up to the window. We pulled up to the window and we received our order. We thought oh maybe it was only one guy working and gave him the benefit. But when we saw the 3 guys who were sitting in the dining area giving our food, we were beyond upset. 30 minutes for 3 tacos? I came to California for my sisters wedding and had to give Del Taco a try. I wanted to try multiple things so I got a Del Taco (crispy), grilled chicken taco and fish taco. The fish taco is the sole reason for 4 stars. Way better than anything you could get at Taco Bell. It was crunchy and delicious! The grilled chicken taco was just okay. They asked me if I wanted hot sauce and I said yes. Unfortunately there wasn't any in my bag. That could have made the chicken taco better. The Del Taco had an incredible cheese to meet ratio. I love cheese, so that was appreciated. The meat was tasty I just needed some sauce to go with it. read more

I do not get fasts food very often so when I do Im usually pretty hungry. I went on my lunch break from work and the girl who took my order was very friendly and told me my order would be right out. Before I could even put my change back in my purse my order was on the counter ready for me to grab and go. I was very happy with the portion size and the way my tacos tasted. I have been to this location twice now and both times I was not disappointed. The place looks clean and the counter help are nice and friendly and the best part is it is fast. They are never open. I went through the drive-through. The manager took the car in front of me, but when I pulled up the manager said they were closed. The drive-thru lights weren't off and he was taking orders. I asked to know what was going on and the manager shut the glass and walked away. I did file a complaint through Del Taco Corporate. They sent me $10 to eat there. I tried going two nights ago and they were closed at 7 p.m. when their hours said midnight. So I head to del taco get there at 5:40, 20 minutes before they closed and the inconsiderate young man at the window just says "we're closed", I explained that they were supposed to be open until 6pm, he said "yeah, we closed early"! Del Taco is one of my favorite fast food restaurants and they've added a delicious item to their menu called the chicken guacamole crunchtada tostada. Guacamole tastes very fresh and flavorful and the tostada is like something you would get at a sit down Mexican restaurant. Customer service is very good at this location. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I just waited 30-45 minutes in the drive-thru. The poor girl at the window sounded like she had no training. So she got my order wrong 3 times. I had to cancel my Order and wait in line 10 minutes to leave. (WITHOUT FOOD). So I call the store and asked for the manager. I continue to explain what had went on and she says "it's not possible. I've been gone for 15 minutes." But I had checked the time when I got there and left because I was in a rush for work. I used to be a big fan of Del Taco's fish tacos. But I recently had them from this Del Taco location and they were absolutely terrible. I'm not sure if I just thought they were a lot better back in the day, or if this particular location's were just really terrible, but I was honestly so disappointed. There was barely any fish inside the breading and the toppings that are usually the best part, didn't taste like anything. I did enjoy the fries, but they could have used a little more salt. First of all, I think most fast-food restaurants are inconsistent in service, even if their food is consistent in quality. Our first visit here was great though. Michael took our order, and something he said that I can't remember told me that he was pretty new at the job. He offered me a small cup with ice (no charge), presumably because I brought in a bottle of soda. Then he tells me, after my discount, my total is $xx. So I asked him why he gave me a discount, and he said: because I'm a nice guy. ;-) While we were eating, he jumped out from behind the counter and started cleaning tables. When another customer came in, he rushed right back to the counter to help him. This place is kind of weird! They have posted hours but it doesn't seem like they keep to it. There's been a couple of times where they were closed early but they leave the lights on so you can't tell. One time they were "open" and I could see somebody inside, but they wouldn't answer the speaker in the drive thru so I left. There was a time where they left the speaker on after I ordered and then they were telling jokes and when I got up to the window they looked all embarrassed. Most recently when I was there it took them about 15 or 20 minutes to make my food and there was no one in front of me in the drive-thru, but by the time I got out of there it was like 5 or 6 deep behind me! So disappointed with the service I received tonight! Went there to pick up food for a friend and asked to have a separate transaction for myself and The lady (Vanessa, according to my receipt) rudely told me that there is only one transaction per car. I totally understand this and I don't have a problem with this, the only problem I had with how rude she was about it. As I proceeded to place the order I had six items and she missed one of them so I told her the items she forgot and she was super rude about that too. I love Del Taco. With that being said I have never had such a rude humiliating experience as I did last night and I'm sharing it to hopefully help someone else not go through the same thing. It was 730pm ish when I grabbed my little dog Koko who just had surgery a little over a week ago and still has her cone on to take a ride in the car. I pulled into the drive thru and gave my order only to have the girl read it back to me laughing. Then I pulled up to window and as she opens the window she's laughing and joking with another worker. The whole experience was rude and I will never return to this location then I get my food home and it's wrong.
