I have never had an issue with this location, because it is clean, and the staff is friendly and positive. The manager came out to strike up a conversation with people; even with sit down restaurants, the majority of managers and owners tend to stay hidden in the back. He asked us our opinion about other locations, in which I mentioned that this location matches those out in California. Also, in my opinion, their Dearborn location needs to be closed, because it's dirty, rude staff, slow service, and the clientele is ghetto. I did mention that we'd wish they'd explore other territories like Southern Ohio, and Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky; because that other chain as no competition. Next, in regards to the ingredients, as far as I am aware nothing is "just add water," as it is with the other fast food Mexican restaurant. For example, their refried beans actually have real pinto beans, not entirely mashed pinto beans. While Del Taco is kind of more pricey compared to that other place, it appears to be less processed and contain less sodium. On a side note, this location was right across the road for that other chain. It was totally empty, but not this Del Taco. Bottom line, if Lexington had a Del Taco option, I won't bother with anything else, and neither would the rest of my family. At that, people always talk about the west coast, In-N-Out Burger, but neglect to mention Del Taco. Again, it's a better choice, but sadly, on the east coast, we don't have another option. Food is OK but do you really want to eat someplace that's owned by a person who legit does not give a rip about you whatsoever, either as a customer or even *as a person*? Back in the day before kiosks, I go in, and go to the counter to order. Standing behind the cash register is this west-side-looking, middle-aged blonde dude wearing Izod shirt etc. He's just staring down at the register, like he's trying to figure something out. I stood in front of register for at least 60 seconds. A full minute. No "hi." No "can I help you?" No "someone will be right with you." Not even "I'm just here to collect my money and I don't care about you at all." No acknowledgment whatsoever. I walked out, of course. Put them on boycott for at least a year. I visited Del taco today for a quick bite. I picked up four regular del tacos with sour cream added, and they were pretty good. You get a rather large taco stuffed with lightly seasoned ground beef and lots of shredded cheese and lettuce. They were very generous with the toppings and overall it's a good taco, especially with the sour cream. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Whatever female that is working the Sunday going into Monday shift has horrible customer service the lot was empty me and my girlfriend were trying to get food and del taco has always been the go to , we pull into the parking lot heading towards drive thru and see the employee leaving her car from a smoke break because we pulled in and was walking towards the building I say to my girlfriend that I feel like we interrupted her break and for us to hurry up and order so she can go back to it to be considerate of her, we pull to the speaker she says "go head with your order" in a demanding manor . This is your typical Del Taco. I came here today to pick up dinner for myself and my boyfriend, who was playing cards at eternal games in the same plaza. I got some tacos for myself to eat in the restaurant, and I got takeout for him. I had a coupon for a free carne Asada taco, it was actually very good, I hadn't had it before. It had steak, onions, avocado. I usually get the chicken tacos here so I got one of those as well, as well as one of the salsa chicken tacos which is on their dollar menu. The only reason this location gets three stars from me instead of four is that I tried to use the Yelp check-in deal and they were very confused about it. I showed my phone to the cashier and she acted like she had never seen it before, the deal was for anything from the dollar menu in exchange for a Yelp check in. I clicked use deal and then someone else wanted to see it, but I was unable to show it. They kind of made me feel like I was trying to gyp them out of a dollar taco or something, although at the end they did give me the taco. It was kind of offputting. Cheap tacos for everyone at work. They have a happy hour from 3-5 and the tacos are less than 40 cents a piece. Best quality of a taco? Probably not, but remember we are visiting a chain restaurant and our expectations shouldn't be high. I called and warned the restaurant that I was coming and was about to order 40 tacos. They can't take pre-orders due to people not showing up, but the time I got there they had about half of my tacos done. OK so it's Del Taco, what level of expectation are we setting here. That said you're looking for a quick Mexican fix Del Taco is the place. You can get all the usual suspects here, but lets focus the review on a few of my favorites. One of my favorite things i used to get at "The Other Drive Through Taco Place" is a burrito made with green sauce instead of the red. Now you can no longer get that there but you can get it here at Del Taco! The green sauce is so good on the beef burrito, I get extra sauce. Also try the fish tacos they are fresh, crispy and flavorful, and thats suprising from a drive through!?! But the true wrecker of diets is the churro! Have you had a churro, if you have had a good one you'll understand the girlish squeal of delight that I make when I say 'churrrooooo'. I've passed this Del Taco many time, but I've never stopped to check out their food. But, my sister told me that as a promotion, they were giving "free" Carne Asada Street Taco with any purchase. The pictures of this new item looked pretty good, so I decided take a leap of faith. Unfortunately, this new taco was terrible! The soft taco shell was cold and rubbery and tough, the beef very stringy, and the avocado mushy. It looked like the taco was just thrown together in 10 seconds. Can it get any worst than that? There is no compare to the "other place". Del Taco has real beans that they make there. And they are always generous with their cheese. I also had them cater events and they give plenty of food, and you will still have some left over. My husband got me a $100 gift card for Christmas and it came with an additional 8 combo meals for free. Cant beat that. read more

I ordered from the DoorDash app and this place was the most unprofessional team I have ever encountered. They waited until the DoorDash driver got there after 45 minutes and had the DRIVER contact me and say they couldn't make my order and ask if I wanted anything else. What??? They then kept the DoorDash driver there for hours as they couldn't leave, and the restaurant refused to cancel the order after they said the grill wasn't working and could not make what I wanted.
