Yay for great customer service! Always a plus!!!! I was super excited to try their mango matcha, but was unfortunately disappointed. It was too sweet and bitter all in one. I ended up getting the shy habibti and was more than satisfied. It provided a burst of strawberry with a hint of coconut. I would most definitely get it again. Also I got this egg cheese tomato situation that had the perfect flaky, yet soft breaded pastry taste. I love this cafe because it's always clean and has a calm ambiance even when it's crowded. People are either doing work, collaborating about work, or gathering to connect. I would definitely recommend this space to others.

I like this coffee shop because it's perfect for people-watching, studying (though it can get a little loud), hanging out, or just spending time on your laptop, journaling, or reading. The coffee and desserts are on point. The hot pistachio latte was delicious, and the pistachio milk cake? Yummm!!! Definitely a spot I'd come back to again.

Can't go wrong with a Turkish experience. Once I walked in, the display of sweets and food was calling my eye. Customer service was fast and friendly, with no complaints. I love this place. The suggestion was unbelievable. The decoration makes it feel like you are stepping into another environment from a regular coffee shop. Clean, with natural light. The painting on the wall is very inviting, and the music is at a normal volume, so you can keep a conversation without yelling at each other or listening to other conversations. The Turkish coffee is a magical experience, and the beef turnover is very tasty, non-greasy, great food.

I crave good coffee shops that make me *crave* their coffee, that make you want to drive hours upon hours to get a cup of joe even though I physically cannot sustain that. Which is to say I'm sad they're so far from me, but anyone within range of Delah needs to hike up here immedietly. Having had a regular black and their Pistachio Latte, both are absolutely wonderful things that eat most lower tier coffee shops for breakfast. Like this is the tier that Blue Bottle is in, and Blue Bottle doesn't have nearly as many pastries/baked goodies or the space for such a cozy chillax atmosphere. If you want coffee with delicate fruitiness without much distracting bitterness, Delah should absolutely be a stop. Please open up in South Bay, pretty please?

Delah coffee is a beautiful cafe with lots of amazing pastries and coffees to try! There is both booth and table seating inside and the atmosphere is great to bring someone with. When you stand in line, you are welcomed with the sweet aromas of coffee and the delicious pastries lined up in the displays. For a Saturday morning, the checkout process was very fast and we were able to get our drinks and pastries right away. I loved the bold and rich flavor of the rose Delah coffee - also kudos on the presentation and the beautiful cups as well! The pastries that we tried were so addicting and I loved being able to try an assortment of different items. I highly recommend visiting here!

Delah Coffee is so cute and aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere and vibes are set so nicely and it feels like you're transitioned into another world. The customer service is okay, the staff could be more helpful and friendly especially since it was my first time trying. They didn't recommend much when I asked and gave them my preferences. Anyway, the croissants and coffee are good and pretty much what you expect. It's cute and cozy, and I would like to come back and try more items.

Delah Coffee is SUCH a cute Yemeni coffee house in walking distance from 19th St Bart Station in downtown Oakland. I love Middle Eastern sweets and desserts, and I came here with a group of friends to catch up and hang out on a weekday evening after work. Here are some standouts from their menu: Rose delah latte for $7.85 Baklava crunch for $6.25 Rose Turkish delight for $5.25 Rose milk cake for $6.45 It's not a very large cafe, but it's cute and cozy with plenty of seating. I'd definitely swing back the next time I'm in the area.

I have 2hrs to kill until the show starts, so I walked in this coffee shop per Grok's recommendation:) Food/coffee - I ordered cappuccino and baklava. The cappuccino tastes really good. Ambiance- very stylish!! A lot of space, and most of the people were either studying or working with laptops. Very relaxing atmosphere and I really dig!! I'll definitely come back! Great find!!

If you love pistachio, Delah is the perfect spot for you! After months of hearing great things I finally caught the opportunity to check it out and I was not disappointed. This was my first experience at a Yemeni coffee shop, and I was charmed by the beautiful interior and smell of delicious pastries and turnovers wafting through the air. Very IG-worthy, if you're like me and agree that the camera eats first. The ambiance is cozy and the cafe is spacious, so it's a great place to get work done. I love the big windows that let in tons of sunlight and allow for me to people watch while I sip on my latte. Speaking of which, my friend and I both opted for the iced pistachio latte. It was on the sweeter side (next time I'll ask for it to be adjusted), but so yummy nonetheless. I love how full bodied and layered the latte tasted. My friend agreed that each sip felt like having a different drink every time but in the best way. Sooo good! We also got a cheesecake and chicken turnover which were great as well. Service was friendly and prompt, don't be shy to ask for recommendations if it's your first time. The menu is huge, and I will definitely be returning to try out more of it.

Stopped in for some coffee. The vibes and decor is great from the moment you walk in, and the barista had some great suggestions. We got the Pistachio Latte and it was just enough of Pistachio. 10 out of 10. The Carmel milk cake was also really good, it's very similar to a tres leches cake, but the rich Carmel was so delicious! This was a great stop and I hope to be back.

I met a friend at Delah Coffee in Grand last week. This is a nicely central location with a large seating area, pleasant music, interesting and special sweet and savory food options, and I love their Yemini latte. My friend really enjoyed the Spanish latte. Baklava were fresh and sweet.

The location is pretty good. It's in the heart of downtown Oakland near many other establishments. There is mainly street parking available for this shop but there is a parking structure and a BART station nearby. At night, it's decently lit up. My favorite thing was their hours. While most other coffee shops in the area seem to close around 6 or 7, this place was still open! By far one of the best hot chocolates I have ever had. It tasted like it was made with love. It had a slight flavor distinction that was different from any other that I have tasted. It was just the right amount of warm, not too hot and not too cold. The portions were an average size. The service was speedy and the seating area was full of people working on their laptops. The prices are about average for a 2025 Bay Area coffee shop. My favorite part is supporting local businesses that are Yemenis. Will definitely be coming back in the future. Bottom line/TLDR: best hot chocolate I've ever had

This spot is a gem! The decor/vibe feels so well thought out and the attention to detail shows. There's a little couch nook in the back that gives a cozy vibe as well. Lovely spot which recently opened up. The ambiance, decor and overall setup is great! I felt slightly hastened into ordering my Yemeni Latte and was hoping for more attention to detail on the artistry of the foam at a grand total of $7.17, but will chalk it up to being newly opened and will report back when I return for a second cup! 5 stars for the awesome setting, less 1 star for the overall coffee quality. read more

Shouldn't allow pets inside where there are food and people Lower the volume of the music so people can engage in a conversation without yelling. Great place otherwise, just clean up the situation as it relates to dogs and music, more people will come. read more

The Adeni tea was ok and the pistachio baklava was good (albeit very pricey), but everything else left a lot to be desired. Service was a bit slow and sullen. I had planned to work out of here for a couple hours since they are open late, but had to ask multiple times for the WiFi password (they insisted it was posted and then realized it wasn't), and then the internet was super slow so I left. Finally, a coffee shop in Oakland that's open late at night on weekends. This is probably the only late night coffee shop in the area as of this posting. Gets pretty tiresome trying to find late evening hangout spots and getting stuck with the same "bar or restaurant?" decision. Glad this place exists because Oakland needs it. It's gorgeous inside and the coffee and Middle Eastern snacks are delicious. Highly recommend getting the Turkish coffee for dine-in, as well as the delah mofawar, zaater, rose milk cake, and assortment of Turkish delights. All very high quality. The vibe here reminds me of being back in Los Angeles cafes. Only cons: no non-caffeinated teas or decaf coffee drinks on the menu, but that could change. read more

Ordering was a bit chaotic because the text on the digital menu board is tiny and there's no descriptions of the food in the display case. Customers unfamiliar w/ the menu and process to order are then forced to ask a ton of questions of the staff-who in turn seem to get very flustered and tend to rush you. My iced coffee was good, the spices were interesting and unique and I'd recommend this to friends. But the baklava was a huge disappointment. read more

Terrible coffee. We ordered Turkish and one with ginger & cardamom. The Turkish was definitely not a Turkish coffee, as it was watery in a cup and not in the brass pot. The ginger coffee had no coffee taste, just hot water with chai spice flavor. Cake we had was also lacking flavor or texture. We wanted to like this place, sorry but it disappointed. read more

Nice place, ambience is nice either for study/work, or even a coffee date. Coffee is nice and fresh. We ordered one pour over, one late and 2 desserts. Coffee is great however their desserts are less than substandard. Baklava is easily a few days old. The honey is not supposed to make it mushy. We returned one of them and asked that they recommend another dessert and they recommended kataif which was equally as old and gross. Do better, especially for $8 a piece. Paid $29 for 2 coffee and 2 slices of week old dessert. read more

Came here at 8:30 in the morning and the floors were dirty with straw wrappers. The chai was decent and sweet. Figured out why the drinks always turn out to be so expensive despite the menu prices. They add a service fee. I wouldn't come here again. read more

Delah coffee is THE spot. So much so that I wish I could gatekeep it's classy ambiance, tasty Yemeni latte, and lotus cheesecake. You can tell that the owners put their heart and soul into planning a delicious menu, vibrant murals, high quality furnishings, tiling/decor. It was crowded for a weekend morning and the vibes are there, cheerful friend meetings, families, people working as well. Their Yemeni latte goes perfectly with their desserts. Their lotus cheesecake and kanafa cheesecake are what I crave, not too sweet and unique flavor combos. read more

What a great spot in downtown Oakland. Fabulous Yemeni chai tea and super interesting desserts. I bought a slice of chocolate cheesecake for a friend's birthday and he said it was incredible - great texture and flavor. I'll definitely be back to try more of the treats! read more

Ok... I'm not really into cake or Turkish delight (don't like sweets much) but I stopped here for coffee and wanted to try their sweets just because they were so pretty and unique and omg....... I live 30 min away but I will def be going back for more. The rose milk cake was delicious and it was not too sweet or heavy, I devoured it and didn't feel like a blob after finishing it. The Turkish delight had an amazing apricot flavor with pistachio .... nom nom nom... going to go back and get a bunch of stuff for my whole family soon. I need to try everything. This place is awesome. We tried the saffron cake and the cheese pastries and they were all delicious. The saffron cake melts in your mouth and it is the right amount of sweetness. we also had Turkish delights that's tastes so good. I like the authentic feel of the coffee shop, the ADeni Chai has a good flavor of cardamom. and the whole staff was amazing, definitely coming back again soon. read more

The order was all mixed up, she did not know what order belonged to whom, I got my tea, but what happened to my drip Coffee and pastry? I pedaled my bike over there this Wednesday morning, aiming to secure a proper breakfast that would actually carry me past 11 a.m. The shop is cozy, definitely on the smaller side with a few seats inside, giving it that familiar, neighborhood spot feel. It's not a sprawling, antiseptic café, and I appreciate that. I ordered the Laney Breakfast Sandwich, which features egg, fresh spinach, sliced turkey, and Swiss cheese on a toasted English muffin. What impressed me was the intentionality--this wasn't something sitting under a heat lamp, looking defeated. It was clearly made to order. The egg was seasoned right, the turkey wasn't flimsy, and the spinach added that necessary fresh bite. It was a damn good sandwich, simple as that. I paired that with the Berry Lovers Smoothie. The original recipe calls for banana, but I asked if they could swap that out for mango. My people know that mango adds a different kind of sunshine, and they executed the substitution flawlessly. It came out thick, perfectly blended--a rich mix of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and that mango kick. It was super refreshing and didn't taste like I was drinking melted ice. The service was quick and friendly, which is key on a weekday morning. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and intentionally prepared. If you're looking for high-quality breakfast fare that feels less commercial and more like something someone actually cares about, stop by. The short bike ride and the intimate seating are worth it for what comes out of that kitchen. They earned this review.

Later on, they sold dried fruits also. Eventually they sold hot foods like popcorn chicken, curry fish balls and different boba drinks. They have seatings as well. Their boba drinks had became so popular that they opened locations in Berkeley, San Francisco and Milpitas. I love their bobas, it's sweet, bouncy and great chewing texture. They used to have small tapioca options which I had loved, but it isn't an option anymore. All their drinks are pretty good so you can't be wrong what drinks you choose. I highly recommend their drinks and their popcorn chicken. I will definitely come back and try other drinks as well.

Plus they gave a good boba proportion! The popcorn chicken was not spicy enough for me so I used the powder they had near the seating area. I think they try to not make it too spicy because a lot of families and kiddos order it so they probably don't want to make it very spicy. You can sit here too as you wait or as you eat. Staff are typical - not overly friendly but not cold. They are ready to work and hustle! Many childhood memories associated with this place. It has remained a place I will always come back to.

There was a bin for "Plastic Only" but only the cup lids were plastic and the cup itself was paper, so where TF do you put that? We noticed a black plastic bin that someone had brought out from the back, so we placed our stuff in there but wasn't exactly sure. We tried to ask the cashier/barista but they were slammed with customers so we ccouldn't get their attention. IDK the place is just poorly organized and messy! There are tables for people to make artwork which is nice but on a busy Saturday it might have been nice to clean those areas up to allow people to sit. Sorry guys... *You need a dedicated barista! People waiting 20+ minutes for drinks is insane especially when the food comes out relatively fast. *Please clean up your restaurant. The amount of flies was gross and no one wants to swat them away from food & drinks. *Tell people if they should bus their own tables and if so.... *Make it clear where to leave plates, cups, garbage, compost etc.

By the time we had actually received our food, almost an hour had passed. While we were waiting, a few other servers eventually joined, but service was still pretty bare for us and we never received refills on water or plates to eat off of when we received our food. I understand that staffing and a backup in the kitchen are out of the staff's control, but it would've definitely helped for us to know in advance how long to expect to wait to align our expectations and arrange our plans for the day. Would advise giving customers a quick heads up/warning because that on its own would've made a big difference. As for the actual food, we ordered the mac trio with elote mac, chicken pot pie mac, and kogi short rib mac (for an extra fee). The elote mac was the best and most flavorful, the short rib mac was okay but not amazing or worth the extra money, and the chicken pot pie mac was very bland/flavorless and didn't have much chicken in it. The food didn't feel like it warranted the wait time and because of that I would not return.

Not sure but just wasn't what I usually expect from a matcha drink. Other than that, service was great. The cashier was really nice. I was able to find street parking really easily as well. I've been a regular at this coffee shop for a while now, and I enjoy the great coffee, and a cozy vibe. It's a nice spot to hang out, catch up on work, or chat with friends. However, there's one thing that seems to be becoming a consistent issue, and that's the music. I've noticed, especially as the evening rolls in, the music gets noticeably louder. It's not just me--it's a common topic of conversation among the tables around me. People are constantly mentioning how uncomfortable it gets, and honestly, it's hard to ignore. It's like the volume ramps up on purpose as it gets darker, and it really disrupts the otherwise pleasant ambiance of the place. At times, it feels like the music is intentionally loud to create some kind of "vibe," but it just ends up making it difficult to have a conversation or concentrate. If this is the feedback that's circulating among regulars, I think management should really consider adjusting the volume. This café is in a convenient spot near Downtown Oakland and Lake Merritt. I stumbled upon it during a morning walk and was drawn in by its inviting coffee shop vibe. Inside, they offer a nice selection of pastries, including cheesecakes and other Turkish desserts. The interior is beautifully decorated with patterned tiles and rich wooden tones. The windows have a partial covering with a unique design that adds a bit of privacy and helps filter the sunlight. Both the drinks and pastries were quite good. Just be sure to stir your drink well as my iced delachai had most of its sweetness sitting at the bottom. The pastry leaned on the sweeter side, so in hindsight, I would've gone with a more bitter coffee to balance things out. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant, and I appreciated the unique drink options. The staff were pretty chill and made my drinks quickly. I recently visited Delah in Oakland and was blown away by the quality of their food and drinks. We ordered the pot of Adeni chai, which easily could have served 4-5 people, and it had a great flavor with a strong cardamom taste that was simply amazing. We also tried their saffron cake, which I typically don't like sweets or cakes much, but this one was exceptional. We also ordered a dessert that resembled knafeh, and it was just as delicious. Everything surpassed our expectations, and we left feeling very satisfied. However, the place was super busy and crowded, probably because it's new. We had a bit of trouble getting a seat, but we managed to get one. Overall, I would definitely recommend Delah to anyone who enjoys great food and drinks. However, our experience took a turn when we purchased the bee bite bread, only to discover mold on it after consuming some pieces. Unfortunately, our kids had already eaten two pieces before we noticed the issue. Loooove this place. Been back three times in the past week and a half to get their Adeni Chai w/ Oatmilk. I love that they allow me to choose honey as my sweetener! The staff is so friendly here and the service is very accommodating. The shop is always bustling and busy because it's that good and I love their cozy seating they have in the back area of the shop. The bench seating is so comfortable and padded that several of us crossed our legs, sat back, and read a book. If it wasn't so busy, I could take a nap here lol. Try this place! They also serve very traditional Turkish delights here that are consistent with what I've had in Turkey and Jordan. Love! read more

Best Coffee shop in town!!!! It's definitely a must visit. I visited this morning and I was amazed. I see what the hype is all about. The vibe and atmosphere is so refreshing! I was helped by a young gentleman named Omar and he was so thoughtful and helpful! Not only did he make me the best latte with the finest art but he was also super friendly. I have been trying to find a nice cafe that serves lattes with art and I just found it! Even if it's 2 years later lol. Best cafe I have stumbled upon since my move from France!!! I tend to be either a diehard Peets or Philz coffee fan. By chance I was in the area where Delah Coffee just opened up. Looked like it was popping. Line out the door! Man I've never seen a coffee join like this, it was so clean! I love the interior design with its middle eastern roots. The workers were kind and quick as they could be. The man Omar (I'm guessing he is the manager) treated me like I was a brother. Such a welcoming atmosphere! The coffee was incredible and cakes were no joke. I cannot recommend a place more than Delah Coffee. read more

Absolutely adore this establishment! Transport yourself to the Middle East with delightful coffee, pastries, and music. The service provided by the young lady is outstanding--she's exceptionally knowledgeable and incredibly helpful during every visit. The ambience is simply fantastic. The space was thoughtfully curated, and the coffee and pastries rivaled those I experienced in Turkey. However, my experience was tainted by the the lack of cleanliness. Despite being there at 8:30 am, it appeared as though the space had not been cleaned for days, leaving a deep-seated dirt throughout the sitting area. I hope they consider including enhanced cleaning services in their operational costs. I'll refrain from detailing my experience in the bathroom. read more

Bad customer service never expect this from delah I used to come consistent. And I came after 6months a lot of stuff changed coffee wasn't good as before Milk cakes are too dry Cheesecake wasn't taste the same.
