Really amazing meal at Delbar. Our waitress was incredibly kind and it was clear that this was a constantly busy restaurant. The food was good but unfortunately we were in a rush. The restaurant was extremely packed and they are clearly trying to fit as many people as possible which I'm sure several people who would otherwise have a hard time getting a resy would appreciate. We were at a table behind the door and unfortunately the door and patrons kept hitting us. Despite the restaurant being packed it wasn't necessarily loud and it was nice to see large families being kindly accommodated. Food was decently priced but definitely sharing size. When in Atlanta on a work trip I tried Delbar in Inman Park and loved the classic Persian cuisine and vibe of the restaurant. The restaurant was dimly lit but also had lots of outdoor seating and a bar area. The service was great and this is the perfect spot for any occasion. The Dill Labneh was my favorite starter, I am a sucker for dill flavor and the garlic/citrus paired perfectly with this dip. We ordered two rice dishes to share at the table and the Adas Polo which was rice topped with crispy onions. I heard great things about DelBar and it did not disappoint. I made reservations on a Monday night and it was still pretty packed. It's a dimly lit spot complete with old school wax candles placed at every table. Initially, it took a while for our server to greet us and a different staff member noticed. We didn't mind, but we were treated to complimentary apps including hummus and dill labneh. Our server, Matt, went over some of the menu features and asked about dietary restrictions, as it was our first time dining at DelBar. For drinks, we ordered the We'll Always Have Paris, which has a very light, delicate flavor profile and the Long Live the Shah, which tastes akin to an Old Fashioned. We ordered multiple dishes to share, including the Duck Fesenjoon, braised bone-in short rib dish (Ghormel Sabzi), roasted cauliflower and saffron rice with raisins (Adas Polo.) It felt like a feast! We enjoyed all of the dishes. Sad to say, the short rib dish was our least favorite. Although the meat was extremely tender, the sauce had a bitter taste. Everything else 10/10. Ive never had this kind of food before and I was nervous about the spices and tastes but if you're like me, take the chance! This is hands-down some of the best tasting food I've ever had!!! I went as a party of four and we got a bunch of small plates and entrees to share so we could try as much as the menu as we could stomach and there wasn't a single thing that didn't make me moan in pleasure. The kebabs, a master class in grilled meat. The rice, heaven's gift to man. We had the wings and they were amazingly seasoned. I don't like cauliflower but we ordered the whole cauliflower head and let me tell you, I'd go back and order just that over and over because it was that good. The garlic/lemon whipping sauce is an absolute must-have! I put that stuff on everything! Their non-alcoholic drinks were fun too. I must say, the sparking doogh is an acquired taste but if you're willing to try it, go for it, it comes in fun vessels. We went a Friday night and boy was it busy but our server was incredibly attentive and offered genuine recommendations. They were quick to bring the food and drinks too which was great cause the smells were making us salivate. I recommend a reservation ahead of time too, just to make sure you get in. I've heard about this place from friends and finally had the chance to go and boy, I'm so glad that I did so! One of the best restaurants in ATL, hands down. Would highly recommend to make a reservation beforehand since it gets packed, even on a weeknight. The ambiance is great, darkly lit (but not too dark to the point where I can't read the menu, I don't like it when restaurants do that). Our server was very attentive. Let me just start this review off saying it was a 10/10 and there is nothing that can be improved. We had a new waiter, I believe Max was his name and he was truly a gem and extremely knowledgeable for it being his first few days. Parking is easy enough. I've been to this restaurant so many times and I wish I had a different review, but I feel the same way every time I leave. The service is amazing, they have a great vibe going in this restaurant and they have a couple of locations around Atlanta! For me, Delbar always misses the mark somehow. When I first came here a couple years ago, I was vegan and enjoyed the hummus and the vegetable sides that were available. The second time I came here, I was pescatarian and ordered the Seabass, or fish that was on the menu at the time and it was OK. The third and fourth time I have come to this restaurant I was able to eat everything and having tried almost everything on the menu I'm just not too keen on it. I don't know what it is. Everyone else at the table seem to love everything they were eating and it just didn't do it for me. And I hate that because our servers are always so nice to us here, they always try to think of something on the menu that you might like even if you describe what you're looking for they'll give you something as close to it as they can get. This probably is just not the restaurant for me and I think I need to stop coming here. They have a great thing going and I hope this review doesn't discourage anyone from coming. read more

Absolutely amazing as always! We went for my husbands 41st birthday with my parents. This was their first time! Our server, my favorite, Ya waited on us and was amazing as always. We had the Mesbecah hummus and bread to start with marinated olives which are a spicy treat! I had the salmon which was beautifully glazed and came with Ana amazing potato leek quiche. My friends have been raving about Delbar for almost as long as I've lived here (about 1.5 years). Since it's very busy, I made reservations a week in advance and even so, there were limited options. When we arrived, we could already see how swamped they were with people waiting for their tables. We got seated about 10 minutes past our reservation time which wasn't a problem for us. Complimentary starters include feta, watercress, mint, and walnuts. We shared their Beet carpaccio, Joojeh kabob, and Hummus with lamb. The beets were thinly sliced and lightly brined. I found the chicken to be under seasoned but had some nice color on it. Wish there were more roasted vegetables since those tasted delicious. Hummus was fresh but could have used a touch more garlic. The addition of lamb really elevated the dish further. Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The food was good but not totally sure if justified by the price. Given its popularity, we did feel slightly rushed to finish our meal since we could so clearly see the long line of people still waiting. Staff were patient and kind nonetheless. One of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I have ever had in my life! Except the difficulty to book a table (especially for weekend dinner), almost everything else is amazing. I have been there for four times and each time I was satisfied with the food and service. For entree I highly recommend Gheimeh Bademjoon, which is a lamb shank stewed with eggplant and peas in tomato-based sauce. The salmon entrée was also perfectly grilled--crispy outside and so tender as jelly inside. For appetizers I recommend the labneh and Kofta Tabrizi. This Delbar is right in the middle of the action. Parking was relatively easy considering we went on a Monday evening. We went here to celebrate our 4yr anniversary and celebrate we did! Went here on a Sunday around 3:00pm. The place looked as if you jumped to another country. I enjoyed the theme and style of the restaurant aside from the current construction they had on the outside of the restaurant. It was pretty slow but we had to wait because something went wrong with their systems as we were putting our name down with the host. In the meantime we sat at the bar and ordered a drink until our table was ready. My boyfriend had a spicy crafted cocktail. I forgot what it was called and I had the Dubai Drift. The bartender was quick and made these drinks perfectly. My boyfriend loves spicy drinks and absolutely loved his drink. Shortly after we moved to a table downstairs near the kitchen. Worst spot in that place in my opinion. You can see the staff working and coming in and out. Not ideal for two ppl on a date to sit it's very distracting. Big parties probably wouldn't notice all the commotion. Outside of that, the food was absolutely delicious. Our waiter suggested the Chilean Seabass as an appetizer so we tried it and it was exceptional. It melted in your mouth and had the perfect amount of seasoning. All of the sides paired with the appetizer went well too. For entrees we both ordered the Hanger Steak and shared a side of rice and vegetables. Sides were a large portion. Enough to share with a table of 2-4 people in my opinion. My waiter advised a side of this berry mixed seasoning to add to our meal to enhance flavor and that was the perfect touch. Going beyond kebobs and hummus, Delbar specializes in several dishes that are much less common in the Atlanta market. For starters, Dill Labneh is an absolute highlight served with fresh baked bread. Branzino stuffed with herbs is a beautiful preparation, with wonderful sweet herbs inside the fish. Some of the rice dishes like Sabzi Polo are remarkable. So I will say, I appreciate the fact that the manager made up for our reservation time being pushed back so much by comping our appetizers. For the appetizers, we got the three dips, the yogurt dill dip, the hummus, and the eggplant dip that had onions in it. I can't have too much dairy so I couldn't enjoy the strained yogurt dip as much as I wanted to, but it was pretty flavorless if I'm being honest. The hummus was pretty good though I've had better elsewhere. I was really disappointed about the pita bread because I like my pita bread fluffy and soft, whereas this was not fluffy and as soon as it hit the table, it wasn't as warm anymore and I think when it was cooling, it got hard pretty quickly. For the entree, I got the smoked Seabass, which had a very strong smoked flavor, but I didn't mind; my friend didn't like it. The pickled vegetables it came with were a nice touch. Onto the food....one of the best meals I've had in a while. We started out with some appetizers and salads to share: smoked Chilean sea bass, wings, dill labneh, kashk bademjoon (my favorite dish of the evening), beet carpaccio, heirloom tomato salad, watermelon salad. It was served with their delicious bread which just kept coming. For our main dishes and sides we had the chicken kofta (another favorite of the evening), koobideh kabob, and lamb neck coupled with the adas polo and sabzi polo. Both the rice dishes were truly unique and absolutely amazing - one savory and one sweet. Those were favorites of the whole table.
