Delhi Palace is A-ok, per my selection of 4 stars . 3 stars for quality of food and cleanliness of the shop, and 1 star for the value, very reasonable at less than 10 bucks for the lunch buffet. I visited for their lunch buffet with a friend who is a fan and overall, it was pretty satisfying. I was not in love with any dish in particular, having tried the saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, zucchini, veggie korma, chicken makhani, dahl soup, their beef meatballs, and the naan. The Saag paneer was the best dish, followed by the zucchini, which was surprisingly delicious - flavorful without being overcooked. I also enjoyed the naan. I thought the meatballs were kind of strange and I was disappointed at how watery the chicken tikka masala and the chicken makhani was. I'm not sure I will be able to return given the distance from my neighborhood, but I hope their takeout or a la carte menu is more enjoyable. read more

We asked today when we picked up food here, and unfortunately they have no plans to go back to dine-in. BUT -- great food, generous portions, and this last time, they have added some lettuce and cucumber salad with each dinner entree. I feel like the rating is to high for this place. The buffet is small, very small. No salad bar or other traditional add ons like in most indian buffets. Overall quality of the food is decent, however most dishes are missing the "indian spice/heat". I won't be back just due to the small buffet, and bland flavors. It has become just a takeout joint and the food was definitely subpar lacking flavor, spice, and any depth. This has become our go to Indian just out of proximity to our house. It's reasonably priced and the food is good. They do get the spice levels mixed up sometimes, but the Curries are always tasty. We did try the buffet a few times and it was ok but bland. The service was also bland. Finally, they did not have as many choices as we have seen at other Indian buffets. I was extremely satisfied with the lamb dish I had here. It was really tender and the flavor was excellent. I met a co-worker for lunch and she refused to eat at the buffet so we ordered from the menu. The mango lassi was to die for!!! I usually judge a place by this drink before I even order. The meal was standard as a whole when combined with the decor etc. Lots of cream rich menu items that would kill a normal lactose intolerant person but for the rest of us...Indian comfort food. I knew what I wanted, but I took a quick peek at the menu and was dismayed to find that prices had risen sharply in the year or so since I had last been in here The food came out quickly, and while the chicken tikka masala was tasty, it was a notch or two below the best I have found locally, while costing a buck or two more. The rice was more than plentiful, but didn't include those little bits of aromatics and spices one usually gets at Northern Indian eateries like this one. The naan had excellent texture, right up there with the best, but very little garlic and almost no ghee, and for 3.49 it is on the expensive side compared to others available in town This was overall a decently good meal, but you can find better Indian food for less money in many other Northern Indian restaurants around Cincinnati read more

Hello, Delhi Palace! This is my new favorite Indian restaurant in Cincinnati! I dined in here with my boyfriend a few days ago for dinner on a Sunday evening and had a very satisfying experience. The service was very attentive, food came out quickly, and their menu had a great variety and very reasonably priced (especially for the portion size). The restaurant is pretty big and has a quiet, intimate setting. There was a good crowd of customers when we were there, which was a good sign. I ordered the Nav Ratan Korma.. and it was freakin' delicious. So flavorful, hot, and the spicy level 3 was perfect for me with a nice kick. It also had a lot of vegetables in it, compared to other restaurants where they're more skimpy.The food came in pretty large portions and our waiter also offered a free rice refill to take home with our leftovers. I also ordered a chai tea.. and it was SOO GOOOOD.. I must get it again.. and again. My boyfriend got the chicken curry, which was also very tasty. Oh, and also get the Chef Naan.. it's stuffed with shredded Tandori chicken, potatoes, and garlic.. whaaaat! This entire meal hit the spot for me and will continue to do so whenever I need an Indian food fix. read more

Yummy yum yum yum. Fo real, tho. I love me some Swad from College Hill, but this was a delightful romp through Silverton. The veggie samosas are the size of the actual sorting hat from Hogwart's (only exaggerating slightly), the vegetable biryani is uber packed with delightful morsels, and the garlic naan is perfectly seasoned. This was no different. My lady friend had the Tandoori Chicken Dilma. She said, "yummy" I had the Chicken Tikka Masala. I say "yummy". We both had the veggie appetizer and the Chef's Naan. Delicious. The food was very flavorful - I got the CTM (very authentic choice, I know) and the tomato base was creamy and savory. Inside and out, Delhi Palace could do with an update.
